Bear Creek Ecosystem Lab Report
Introduction In stream based ecosystems, there is a rather delicate balance between the life found and
the relative levels of particular substances in said stream. We use Bioindicators to give us an idea of
the health of a particular ecosystem, which are in turn heavily influenced by the contents of the
environment. Keeping this in mind our group set out to investigate two streams that are in two
completely different areas. This was organized in attempt to get samples from two streams that would
have very distinct contents, serving as a control for our overall hypothesis. Being that the bioindicators
found in each stream would evidently coincide with the levels of substances such as oxygen, nitrogen,
and phosphate to name a few. Organisms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is difficult to gauge to what extent many of the substances measured by the chem contributed to the
bioindicators considering there was little difference between the majority the meausrments. However
conditions such as temp and pH which showed significant differences coincide with what we already
know of animal ecology and homeostasis. Though we didn t see a large difference between the ion
concentrations, the difference was enough to create slight shifts in pH such that the stream as whole
would be more basic at Cherry Creek as opposed to Bear Creek which was closer to a neutral pH.
Which for most organism is ideal in a habitat allowing them to regulate their own pH without dangers
and thus allowing further reproduction. However our overall results do not completely account for the
differences in pH we saw due to the lack of measurements of phosphate in the Bear Creek analysis.
This would further be exasperated by any mistakes made in the measurements of oxygen and
ammonia. It should also be noted that we also had to account for the fact that it was summer and thus
much hotter than what we would normally expect; thus if a higher temperature in conjunction with
other factors discourages or incourages bioindicators we would have no way knowing since we cannot
create a control for the

Government Is Best, Autocracy Or Democracy
In deciding which government is best, autocracy or democracy, one must first define their
understanding of best. Should one be looking for structure, order, or longevity, then a reasonable
response would be some variation of autocracy. However, if one is looking for a form of government
which maximizes involvement from the general public and is flexible, then democracy may be a better
option. Both autocracy and democracy style governments can be divided into further subcategories,
such as a constitutional monarchy or modern authoritarian autocracy, and all of the options will be
considered, analyzed, and understood in terms what they are best for. To create a framework for the
discussion, Why We Shouldn t Judge a Country by Its GDP by Michael Green (2015) and Economist
article What s Gone Wrong with Democracy (2014) will be summarized and used to compare Russia,
China, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Relevant terms, such as modernization, legitimacy, and
consent, will be intertwined with the discussions of forms of government to understand how
governmental structures operate in relation to people. In conclusion, I will argue that the best form of
government is a federal parliamentary republic. Michael Green s article, Why We Shouldn t Judge A
Country by Its GDP, explored the concept of judging a country s growth by the prosperity of its
citizens, not by its economic prowess (2015). Green and his team developed a model in 2014, called

Foreign Tax Credit For Individuals
Foreign Tax Credit for Individuals: The Foreign Tax Credit is designed to be very simple in nature, as
it only requires basic math skills to compute the tax liability with the credit. As mentioned above,
income that is earned in a foreign location may be taxed by the respective government of that location.
Therefore, because the United States utilizes a global tax system, the individual or entity may be taxed
by the foreign government and definitely taxed by the United States government. Therefore in order to
reduce the double taxation liability, the government allows U.S. taxpaying entities to reduce U.S.
income tax dollar for dollar (credited) by the amount that has been paid in income tax by a U.S. person
to a foreign government (Adams). Furthermore, there are two limitations on this credit that a U.S.
taxpaying entity must be aware of. The first limitation states that only income tax is only susceptible
to the credit. To further explain, this means taxes like Value Added Tax, property taxes, taxes on
capital or assets, and any other tax which the U.S. does not consider a tax on income are excluded
from the foreign tax credit (Adams). (However, a valuable tax planning strategy will note that these
taxes may be deductible on an individual s Schedule A for Itemized Deductions. In addition, if an
individual owns a business or rents out a building abroad, he/she can deduct these expenses on his/her
Schedule C or Schedule E). The second limitation states that an

The Five Innovation Building Blocks

According to the reading that was provided, innovation in government has been a challenge. Sandford
Borins identified that issue in his 2006 report, The Challenge of Innovating in Government. In
Sandford Borins article, he discusses and outlines the five innovation building blocks, obstacles, and
challenges of innovating government. Sandford Borins is a Professor of Public Management in the

Although he has identified the challenges, he also recommends ways of implementing innovation in
government. Let s first start off by identifying what Borins has identified under the five building
blocks of innovation in his report.
Ways of Acting:
In The Challenge of Innovating in Government, Sandford Borins (2006) report first identifies the five
innovation building blocks. The first building block was the use of a system approach. According to
Borins (2006), from a previous study, approached the data with his own classification scheme for the
characteristics of the innovations, partnership, which was one component. Borins (2006) identified
that there are varying levels of complexity and comprehensiveness of organizational partners and
cooperative arrangements.
Building block two: the use of information technology systems in large government are large and
expensive, and experience has shown that some systems have been costly and disastrous failures
(Borins, 2006). Information technology is widely considered as a way of innovation, but with the
technologic advancement it has been a challenge for government.
Building block three: process improvement refers to innovation designed to make governmental
processes faster, friendlier, or more acceptable (Borins, 2006). According to Borins (2006), these
initiatives often involved applications of the Pareto rule (20 percent of the cases are responsible for 80
percent of the workload, and

Hospitality in the Qu ran
Ideas on Cultural Hospitality in the Quran The virtues within the Qur an regarding hospitality and
generosity seem to be a product of the landscape of pre Islamic Arabia. Indeed, the arid environment
and tribal configuration of the society required that neighbors help each other, strangers or travelers be
given food, and wealth be distributed evenly throughout the clan. The communities that settled along
the trade routes of the Arabian Peninsula relied on merchants returning to their community to trade
goods. One way to ensure this was to make the merchant feel welcome and become a temporary part
of the household. Another way to guarantee their return would be ensuring the merchant survived the
harsh climate of the desert, so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a follower gives, generously, and without selfish reasons, then God will provide for all of their
needs, just as they have provided for others. The text goes on to express that even speech full of
kindness and true appreciation is better than the act of charity that hurts (Qur an 2:263). Again this
broad support for kind speech and generous giving is used as a lens through which the stories of
hospitality can be viewed. The Qur an shows the importance of hospitality in two intertwined stories,
and while the passages that dictate kindness, generosity and manners number well over twenty, the
impact of these two hospitality accounts is memorable and complex. The stories actually involve two
patriarchs from Israelite text, who play major roles in Qur anic teachings. The first is in surah 11:69 70
and involves Abraham s interaction with three strangers who turn out to be angels who have come to
warn him about punishment of Sodom. They also bring news of Sarah s future conception and relate
the story of their visit with Lot in Sodom. His first reaction to their arrival is to prepare a fatted calf,
an action that frames the generosity of hospitality in a way that promotes giving the best of what you
have to your guests. This act by Abraham is recounted in surah 51:24 37, The Dispersing, which
clarifies that the visitors were honored guests and the proper greeting of Peace

Synthesis Essay On Eating Locally
Eating local is a simple change, but can make a difference in a few aspects. Food is able to stay on the
vine longer and grow more nutrients for your body and money you spend locally will recycle through
your community. Locavorism is becoming more popular and farmers markets a high demand since
more people are discovering the benefits of it. Overall, it proves to be better for everyone when you
buy and eat locally grown food.
Eating locally grown food is better for you. When food is grown far away, packaged harshly, and
shipped in less than pleasant conditions, it isn t as fresh when it actually reaches your family s dinner
plates. Food that travels farther distances doesn t have the strong vitamins and minerals our bodies
need because [f]ood begins to lose nutrition as soon as it is harvested (Source B). But local farmers are
able to sustain the nutrition by allowing the food to ripen until the last possible minute on the vine

tasting produce that was shipped from far away, in a land where Walmart promotes cheap labor. Your

How Is Wordsworth Influenced By William Wordsworth
Wordsworth is an high English poet and an establishing member of the Romantic Movement in the
English literature. He lived and wrote at the period between 1770 1850 which is the golden era of
romanticism . Like other Romantics, Wordsworth poetry and personality also were greatly influenced
by his love for the nature, especially by the spectacles and views of the Lake Country area, where he
spent most of his life in nature. Wordsworth is sincere thinker; he showed high tenderness and a love

Nuremberg trials created ten principles for ethical experimentation and that anyone should freely

Use Of A Tourniquet Is An Effective Means Of Arresting...
The Tourniquet The use of a tourniquet is an effective means of arresting life threatening external
hemorrhage from a limb injury. The use of tourniquets has been documented in the annals of historical
medicine as far back as 6th century BC. The Hippocratic body of work mentions in passing tight
bandaging and distal limb gangrene without noting hemorrhage control, probably because hemorrhage
and death, although linked empirically, were not linked philosophically by the ancient Greeks. (Kragh,
Swan, Smith, Mabry, Blackbourne, 2012, para. 6) The first reported use of a battlefield tourniquet was
by French army surgeon, Etienne Morel in 1674 (Welling, McKay, Rasmussen, Rich, 2011). The
device included a belt that went through a wood block (with a hole at each end), and a stick was used
in the loop of the belt around the limb to twist as a windlass; this was known as a block tourniquet.
The actual word tourniquet originated from the French word toner, meaning to turn. A tourniquet is a
constricting or compressing device used as a bandage to control venous and arterial circulation to an
extremity for a period of time. Pressure is applied circumferentially to the skin and underlying tissues
of a limb. The pressure is transferred to the walls of the vessels causing them to become temporarily
occluded. A tourniquet can be used in an emergency situations to control life threatening bleeding.
Therefore, a tourniquet is an acceptable treatment for uncontrolled

Culture Awareness In Nigeria
Culture is defined as the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or
social group. according to Merriam Webster (2017). What does this mean to the average individual?
When surrounded by various cultures, as humans, we sometimes have tough decisions to make. You
can develop new relationships, or avoid another due to one s culture. The world is a very intriguing
place because no matter where you go, no country, state or city will be exactly the same. It is always
interesting to compare countries to America to realize how different our culture compares to others.
For example, Nigeria (when compared to the United States) is a very different place which could be a
vast culture shock to someone who is not familiar with that specific culture or society. Nigeria is
relatively small but has a population which surpasses Russia. This being said, in Nigeria the average
age is only 17.9 years old where the United States and Russia have an average age of 38 years old.
Understanding culture awareness and its effect on the way humans live can make one very successful
when they find themselves in a foreign environment.
Nigeria is small in relation to the United States of America while still being the 32nd largest nation in
the world. Despite its size Nigeria has a population of 190,632,261, according to The World Factbook

The Ungoing Algerian War Fought between France and the...
Algerian War The Algerian War is an ongoing war being fought between the state of France and
Algerian independence movements. Background In 1830 the French invaded and captured Algiers, the
invasion resulting in considerable bloodshed. Between 1830 and 1872 the indigenous Algerian
population declined by a third due to a combination of violence and disease epidemics. French policy
was predicated on civilizing the country and Algeria s social fabric suffered during the occupation.
Since 1848 the French have administered Algeria as an integral part and département of the nation.
Being one of France s longest held overseas territories, thousands of European immigrants arrived in
Algeria and came to be known as the Pied Noirs. These European settlers benefited from the French
government s confiscation of communal land from indigenous Algerians and the application of
modern farming techniques exponentially increased the agricultural output. With the Algerian
nationalist movement gaining momentum, in March 1943, Algerian leader Mahmoud Abbas presented
the French with the Manifesto of the Algerian People , demanding an Algerian constitution
guaranteeing immediate political participation and legal equality for Muslims. In 1944 the French
formulated a reforms based on the Viollette Plan of 1936 which granted French citizenship to certain
categories of meritorious Algerian Muslims. On May 8, 1945, while France celebrated Victory in

The Debate About Hierarchy And Equality Within Marriage
The debate about hierarchy and equality within marriage is a topic that has reverberated through the
centuries as theologians, societies, and couples try to flesh out the roles of man and woman in
marriage. Various hermeneutical lenses and theologians have looked at Scripture to create different
assertions about who holds the authority and if there is a disparity in spousal equality. Within John
Paul II s Theology of Body the hermeneutic he employs to read Scripture, especially Genesis and
Ephesians, which announces spousal equality. Through this paper, it will be argued that John Paul II
believes there is an equality of authority within marriage because marriage is reciprocal and
communitarian with the basis of Christian pietas (ToB, 89:1).
In John Paul II s Wednesday General Audience on August 11, 1982 (#89) he enumerated the reciprocal
nature of marriage in which he established equal authority within this union. Ephesians 51 33 was the
basis for his view because this passage details how spousal equality is based on the call for each
spouse to be subject to one another in the fear of Christ (Eph. 5:21). The use of this passage, which is
usually associated with subordination, shows the reciprocal and the communal nature of the sacrament
based on pietas. Pietas refer to the duty of Christians to respond to the command to fear the Lord and
spring from the profound consciousness of the mystery of Christ (ToB, 89:1). John Paul II s inclusion
of pietas aids in establishing

Comparing Egypt And Mesopotamia
Egyptian and Sumerian religions developed differently because their respective geographic
environments caused them to hold divergent views of their lives. Since the geography in Sumer and
Egypt was different, they held different views about their gods and beliefs. Even though they were two
of the first civilizations, they developed different beliefs about their religion.
The rivers and land were in both Sumer and Mesopotamia, a big part of the development of their
views on religion. Mesopotamia was known as the land between two rivers because they were
surrounded by the Euphrates and Tigris River. Annually the rivers would flood fertilizing Sumer s
land. Sumerians took advantage of the floods to help fertilize their land but also knew that when big
floods occurred the gods were sending a punishment of their wrong doings. ... Show more content on

where Egyptians grew most of their food. On the opposite side of the river there was a large desert.
The Egyptians thought of this as a place of fear, terror and death. It was known as Deshret which

The Elephant, Ivory And Trade
For many years, the population of mammals has been declining. One mammal in particular that caught
my eye was the elephant. The elephant population has been decreasing significantly. One elephant
species in exact has suffered more than others, which is the African elephant. In Gao and Clark s
words African elephants (Loxodonta africana) are in great danger (Gao Clark, 23). This essay will
review the factors that triggers humans to kill African elephants and the main cause humans are killing
African elephant s for. Although, humans might have valid reasons as to why they kill innocent
elephants, the killing of mammals doesn t service the circumstance that the planet is losing that

After, iron tools were invented, which started increasing the human densities in forest zones (Barnes,
179). According to Barnes, human densities were low until the16th century, right before iron tools
were seen (Barnes, 179). These tools helped farmer clear their way in the forests, making it easier for
them to farm (Barnes, 179). After the ivory demand from the Roman s, the Chinese started doing the
same thing, demanding for ivory which is still currently growing (Barnes, 178, Gao Clark, 23).
In more recent years, the ivory used has expanded in China (Gao Clark, 24). The most common way
ivory is used in China is for carving as a traditional art (Gao Clark, 24). Ivory carving wasn t well
known in the Chinese culture until later in the 1950 s, when ivory factories started establishing (Gao
Clark, 24). Afterwards, ivory carving became a major foreign currency generating industry in cities
around China (Gao Clark, 24). The industries failed a little after the Cultural Revolution that occurred
in the years between 1966 and 1976 (Gao Clark, 24). Ivory is used in many things but the most
common way the Chinese culture uses it is by the following: figuring, ornaments, scholar s articles,
and vessels (Gao Clark, 24).

there has been calculated around 126 ivory facilities in Da Xin (Gao Clark, 24). Da Xin is an ivory

Srutinize The Quote From Heilbroner And Milberg
Scrutinize the Quote from Heilbroner/Milberg The evolution of the market economy has its roots in
tradition and command systems. Even today, market economies rely on practices that have a
resemblance to those of the middle ages and antiquity. If a person of yester years were exposed to the
workings of the free market, they would be baffled with how resources are allocated to the right places
especially labor and production. The beginnings of the economic society are traced to the relatable but
separate problems that the society faced: the production of sufficient goods and services that would
ensure the survival of the society and the organization of production output to make certain that there
is more production (Heilbroner and Milberg 4). All medieval societies sought for ways to deal with
these problems. Through history, humankind has tried to solve the problems of production and
distribution in three ways: tradition, command and market economies (Heilbroner and Milberg 6). All
these solutions are relatable to each other with some aspects of each overarching on the others. For the
tradition solution, it focused on solving the issue of production. Each member of the society had their
role predefined similar to their parents occupations. Notably, sons ... Show more content on

Student Loan
In this essay, using the S.M.A.R.T. planning model (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic,
and timely), I will evaluate the Alice s goals of paying off student loan, buying a house and
saving for children s education, accumulating assets, retiring, and traveling around the world in
a sailboat. I will complete my evaluation with a comment.
To achieve these goals, Alice has to identify the timing of her goals. For example paying off
student loan is a short term goal, but accumulating assets is an intermediate goal and then buying
a house (paying off the house completely) and saving for children, along with the retiring plan
are long term goals.
To consider the S.M.A.R.T. model, Alice has to be realistic. Alice has $5,250 assets ... Show more

If she chooses the second job option, she will preserves any alternative that she would consider
in the future, because there is no risks involved. However, if she chooses the trip to Vegas, if she

that a risk is not just an option, but also a cost, and any available choice that someone might
preserve is a benefit.
In conclusion, when we consider Alice s feasible choices, and then we calculate the benefits,
explicit, implicit and strategic costs of each of her choices, we realize that Alice in general is not
in a bad shape. In my opinion, she should continue the way she is without any further action till
she pays off her student loan completely. Also, she does not have to buy a new car till then. The
second job will put too much pressure on her health that may affect her ability to continue her
current carrier path. Also the Vegas trip for winning money because of the high risk involved is
completely out of the question. After a few years when she gets rid of student loan, she can
easily plan for her intermediate and long term goals. After all, she is in better position than

The True Cause Of Violent Behaviors
The True Cause of Violent Behaviors in Today s Society
There are volumes of media that are starting to harm the world in which we live. They have been
linked to fourteen mass murders (Fletcher). Nine out of the top ten selling games have been labeled as
violent and 42% of adolescents play them ( Children and Video Games ). These violent video games
are a major problem in the United States and across the globe. Violent video games have a direct
correlation with negative behaviors because they increase anger and aggression in young people,
decrease prosocial behavior, and have unfavorable effects on a teens daily life.

If people are viewing the world as a hostile and violent place then they are not able to grow and
develop relationships with others in their lives. They are gaining beliefs that their life outside of
violent video games wants them to fail, and that society is unable to understand their way of life.
Violent video games are destroying the possibility of relationships between people. 90% of video
games portray violence. Our brain sometimes doesn t distinguish between what is real and what we
see on TV (Barclay). This is a scary realization because it shows that what we watch and play on TV
can have a very harmful effect on our lives. Our brain is sometimes unable to recognize what is real
and what is not, which in turn will not be able to help determine when a violent situation is occurring
and when one is not.
Violent video games do not promote prosocial behavior between humans. Violent video games have
contributed to fatal actions. Mika Brzezinski said, It s kind of hard not to make a connection [between
games and the Navy Yard Shooting] when you hear [the shooter s] friend saying that he would watch
on a life size screen these violent video games for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours
(Kain). Violent video games are being linked to many of the mass shootings around the United States,
specifically the Washington Navy Yard shooting. Instead of helping each other some violent video
game players are turning to guns and weapons, which is

The Psychological Factors Attackers Into Social...
It takes time and money to adjust IT security measures in response to evolving attack tactics. As
defenders gradually update their security measures, attackers respond accordingly. Such arms race
dynamics lead to threats of increasing sophistication and efficiency. Today s cybercriminals often have
a long term interest in their targets and often employ social engineering to get inside a protected
environment. Their tactics commonly include malicious payload that attempts to compromise the
victim s system and may continue spreading within the organization. They also increasingly focus on
weaknesses at the application, rather than system or network levels, to obtain data that provide the
most value.

In another example, attackers sent targeted email messages with malicious attachments under the guise
of providing an agenda for an upcoming meeting. The attacker bet on the likelihood that the recipient
had a meeting coming up and would want to view the agenda.
People comply with social norms, looking at others for behavioral cues. One example of this behavior
is the people s tendency to click on links shared by their friends on social networking sites, such as
Facebook and Twitter. The Koobface worm has been highly successful at convincing people to visit
malicious websites by posting its links using the victims social networking accounts. In another
example, Nugache worm used infected systems to download its malicious components from a
legitimate download tracking site, boosting the popularity of its files to attract new victims.
People place trust in security tools. Much like people put trust into the individuals who look like
doctors by wearing lab coats, users sometimes blindly trust the measures taken for the sake of security.
Rogue antivirus tools have been highly successful at spreading by convincing victims that their
computers are infected and demand immediate intervention. Attackers have also used digital
certificates to sign malicious executables as was the case with Stuxnet with the expectation that seeing
a signed file would lower the target s guard.
Such social engineering techniques merge the line

Benefits Of Getting A Job Than High Educated Employees Essay
In fall 2016, some 20.5 million students are expected to attend American colleges and universities,
constituting an increase of about 5.2 million since fall 2000. The employment rate was higher for
those with higher levels of educational attainment. For example, in 2015, the employment rate for 20
to 24 year olds (also referred to as young adults in this indicator) with a bachelor s degree or higher
was higher than the rate for young adults with some college but no bachelor s degree (89 vs. 76
percent). As you can see from these facts above, the number of students going to universities is
dramatically increasing because employer s demand for high educated employees climbs fast.
Although many people, who are motivated by Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg, argue that experience is
more important for getting a job than your record at school, others believe that obtaining good grades
can aid you in getting more chance of getting great jobs, benefit yourself with advantages such as
scholarships and internship or prove that you are passionate with your major.

all employers look at. According to an article of Forbes, career services directors at four schools New

While the videos were nominated for the same award, they are significantly different. Mainly due to
the fact that the genre s of the two artists are varied. Taylor Swift being a country singer, and Beyonce
a pop singer. Beyonce s video contributes to the pop genre consisting of urban contemporary, and

The Health Information Exchange And Hie
Introduction When it comes to healthcare there are a lot of things that have evolved. One in particular
is that of the patients health care records and how they are written as well as being stored. In this paper
I will be discussing the evolution of this process via the Health Information Exchange or HIE. This
will involve the history of the system, problems that are involved in this evolution, as well as the
security issues that will need to be addressed when moving from different types of records. A lot of
things have evolved when it comes to patient records in the medical field. In medical facilities the
patient records use to be in paper form. There would be multiple pages of patient information, doctor
notes, physical findings as well as diagnoses. These were all kept in a filing cabinet where mostly
anyone could obtain the files and have the patient s information. If the patient was at a different
facility these records would then have to be mailed over which is not the most secure way to transfer a
patients personal health records. It was then evolved that records should now be made electronically.
This is so that security and transmission of a patients record can be more reliable. The Health
Information Exchange (HIE) started to evolve around 1990. This is when the Community Health
Information System was also created in order to get the electronic records started. The State HIE
Cooperative Agreement Program which was authorized by section 3013 of the Public

For instance, the skin of mice with a chemically induced tumor result in regression in the cutaneous

Characterization Of Duck Viperin And The Natural Reservoir...
Characterization of duck viperin
Introduction:
Ducks (Anas platyrhynchos) and other waterfowl are the natural reservoir of Influenza A virus (IAV)
(Webster et al. 1992). IAV may cross the species barrier from the reservoir species causing sporadic
infections in other avian or mammalian species (Webster et al. 1995). These infections impose a large
burden on human and animal health worldwide leading to economic losses; In humans, in 2008, 90
million new influenza infections resulted in an estimated 28000 115000 deaths worldwide (Nair et al.
2011), in birds, in 1999, Italy experienced a HPAI epidemic caused by an H7N1 virus subtype. In total
16 million birds were culled and the estimated loss was about € 507 million, with € 112 million in
direct losses and € 395 million in consequential losses (Sartore et al. 2010). Ducks often display little
to no disease symptoms after IAV infection. They stimulate a robust innate immune response when
infected with HPAI by up regulating many innate immune genes (Vanderven et al. 2012). Therefore,
characterization of innate immune genes of ducks, particularly the genes that are upregulated during
IAV infection, might give insight into the relationship between IAV and the innate immune response
of ducks, which will help us to control the virus.
When exposing the mallard ducks to the highly pathogenic IAV (H5N1), there was an upregulation in
some innate immunity genes; one of the highest upregulated gene was viperin (Virus inhibitory

My Music Concert
Today, I went to the symphony for the first time. Not much of a thrilling opener, huh? What if I
elaborated to say the closest I have ever gotten to a symphony was a grade four band concert, in which
my little brother played the saxophone (he quit the following year.) Maybe I could compare this
experience to all the DIY rock shows I attended back home in basements/back rooms where the
sounds could be loud enough to deafen people standing outside and the heat could bring almost
anyone to immediate sickness, but that seems a little crude. The bottom line is, I have never been
fortunate enough to encounter the amount or complexity of instruments as I did at Willson
Auditorium. Before continuing, I would like to express sincere gratitude toward requiring, and thus
allowing, me to attend this fantastic concert. I believe that I not only enjoyed a wonderful performance
but also appreciated music with knowledge and context. It is because of said knowledge and context
that the music sounded lifelike, and the connections between instruments and literary ideas were
formed for the first time. Upon arrival to the seats I was surprised by the vastness of the venue, and
the proximity of my seat to the stage (the row directly ahead of me was front row.) When the
musicians took stage, I was slightly disappointed at my inability to see everyone, however, my view of
the double basses was intriguing as I had not realized how large they actually are (I had never seen
one in real life prior.)

David s Greatest Sin
David, the second king of Israel, was the youngest of Jesse s eight sons. History celebrates him as a
skilled musician. Scholars credit him with writing much of the Book of Psalms. David, an ancestor of
Jesus (a.k.a. Son of David), also prophesied about the coming Messiah, won fame and renown for
defeating Israel s enemies, and built the temple in Jerusalem. But despite these distinctions, David
occasionally committed several disgraceful acts of great sinfulness.
Christians commonly think of David s greatest sin as his plot to murder Uriah and then marry Uriah s
wife Bathsheba. By far, a far greater sin was David;s unauthorized census of Israel. This command
was also evil in the sight of God, so he punished Israel. (1 Chronicles 21: 7).

Von Neumann architecture, or the Von Neumann model, stems...
Von Neumann architecture, or the Von Neumann model, stems from a 1945 computer architecture
description by the physicist, mathematician, and polymath John von Neumann and others. This
describes a design architecture for an electronic digital computer with a control unit containing an
instruction register and program counter , external mass storage, subdivisions of a processing unit
consisting of arithmetic logic unit and processor registers, a memory to store both data and commands,
also an input and output mechanisms. The meaning of the term has grown to mean a stored program
computer in which a command fetch and a data operation cannot occur at the same time because they
share a common bus. This is commonly referred to as the Von ... Show more content on

Add the span or extent of the instruction to the program counter.
Interpret the instruction using the control unit. Meanwhile, The control unit commands the rest of the
computer to perform some type of operation. The instruction may change the address in the program
counter, thus permitting repetitive operations. The instruction may also change the program counter .
this is done only if some arithmetic condition is true, thus giving the effect of a decision, which can be
calculated to any degree of complexity by the preceding arithmetic and logic.
Once all of this is done, it is programed to go back to step 1.
The design of The Von Neumann architecture is a little more straightforward than the more modern
Harvard architecture. It too is a stored program system; nevertheless, it has one dedicated set of
address and data buses for reading data from and imprinting data to memory, and an additional set of
address and data buses for obtaining instructions. Von Neumann devoted most of his Preliminary
Discussion to the design of the arithmetic unit. The details of this are the least interesting part of the
paper from the standpoint of the organization of his computer, and its influence on future
developments. The capabilities of the arithmetic unit were limited to the performance of some
arbitrary subset of the possible arithmetic operations. He observes that the

Queen Bee Classifications
The Queen Bee and Her Court
Classification is the action or process of classifying something according to shared qualities or
characteristics. In The Queen Bee and Her Court Rosalind Wiseman talked about classifying high
school cliques. These classifications are: The Queen Bee, Sidekick, Banker, Floater, Torn Bystander,
Pleaser/Wannabe/Messenger, and Target. The Queen Bee is the ringleader of this clique. She is the one
who tells everyone what to do and she is not intimidated by anyone. The Sidekick is a pushover. The
Banker is extremely secretive. The Floater spends time with any and everyone in the school. The Torn
Bystander is not good at saying no to her friends. The Pleaser/Wannabe/Messenger is the person who
has all of the gossip.
My classifications on people are both negative and positive. My negative classifications are: all
caucasians are snobby, rich, and selfish, all blonde women are dumb, and only anorexic women can

Compare And Contrast King Poe Vs King
Poe vs King
When thinking of two short stories, The Man in the Black Suit and The Black Cat come to mind. The
narrators of both these stories include suspense and bring about the effects on their minds throughout
both stories. Evidently, there are many similarities and differences between them both. Between both
narrators, they share the same point of view. However, one narrator seems to be angry while the other
seems to be intimidated. The narrators of The Man in the Black Suit and The Black Cat similarly have
first person point of view, however King s key difference of not being reliable results in suspense for
that story.
Both narrators from the story share a similarity of having first person point of view. To clarify, both
narrators go through a hardship that they both tell throughout their story. Gary from The Man in the
Black Suit faces his hardship through seeing that He was wearing a black three piece suit, and I knew
right away that he was not a human being, because his eyes were the orangey red of flames in a wood
stove (King 5). Through this quote, readers can infer by the use of the narrator s diction that he was
intimidated by the man in the black suit. In addition, by the narrator s choice of I , it meant that the
narrator was by himself during this hardship. The fearful tone that the narrator suggests helps
contribute to the point of view used in the quote above. The structure of the story for the narrator to be
lonely throughout his hardship makes the theme (bad things happen to good people) significant. Not to
mention, during the story, the reader develops an inference that the narrator may not make it out of the
situation alive. Comparatively, the narrator from The Black Cat has the same point of view as the
narrator in The Man in the Black Suit. The husband in The Black Cat seems to believe that he is alone
until he meets this cat named Pluto who genuinely loved him. The narrator faces a hardship when he
says ...I knew that it had loved me, and because I felt it had given me no reason of offence; hung it
because I knew that in doing so I was committing a sin... (Poe 2). Through this quote, readers can
infer that the narrator had a problem mentally and according to the

The Effective Use Of Manipulation In Shakespeare s Hamlet
In Shakespeare s Hamlet, manipulation has been used by various characters to psychologically control
and affect others in order to achieve specific personal agendas. The death of King Hamlet greatly
affected the people of Denmark, especially his son Hamlet. The appearance of the ghost of King
Hamlet was the beginning of the play s plot. It is obvious that the ghost s agenda was to persuade
Hamlet into avenging his father s wrongful and untimely death. Since the beginning of the play,
Shakespeare clearly illustrated Hamlet s disapproval of the Queen and Claudius relationship. Hamlet
felt that her mother s action was a form of betrayal towards her previous husband. In the ghost s

  • 2. Bear Creek Ecosystem Lab Report Introduction In stream based ecosystems, there is a rather delicate balance between the life found and the relative levels of particular substances in said stream. We use Bioindicators to give us an idea of the health of a particular ecosystem, which are in turn heavily influenced by the contents of the environment. Keeping this in mind our group set out to investigate two streams that are in two completely different areas. This was organized in attempt to get samples from two streams that would have very distinct contents, serving as a control for our overall hypothesis. Being that the bioindicators found in each stream would evidently coincide with the levels of substances such as oxygen, nitrogen, and phosphate to name a few. Organisms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is difficult to gauge to what extent many of the substances measured by the chem contributed to the bioindicators considering there was little difference between the majority the meausrments. However conditions such as temp and pH which showed significant differences coincide with what we already know of animal ecology and homeostasis. Though we didn t see a large difference between the ion concentrations, the difference was enough to create slight shifts in pH such that the stream as whole would be more basic at Cherry Creek as opposed to Bear Creek which was closer to a neutral pH. Which for most organism is ideal in a habitat allowing them to regulate their own pH without dangers and thus allowing further reproduction. However our overall results do not completely account for the differences in pH we saw due to the lack of measurements of phosphate in the Bear Creek analysis. This would further be exasperated by any mistakes made in the measurements of oxygen and ammonia. It should also be noted that we also had to account for the fact that it was summer and thus much hotter than what we would normally expect; thus if a higher temperature in conjunction with other factors discourages or incourages bioindicators we would have no way knowing since we cannot create a control for the ... • 3. Government Is Best, Autocracy Or Democracy In deciding which government is best, autocracy or democracy, one must first define their understanding of best. Should one be looking for structure, order, or longevity, then a reasonable response would be some variation of autocracy. However, if one is looking for a form of government which maximizes involvement from the general public and is flexible, then democracy may be a better option. Both autocracy and democracy style governments can be divided into further subcategories, such as a constitutional monarchy or modern authoritarian autocracy, and all of the options will be considered, analyzed, and understood in terms what they are best for. To create a framework for the discussion, Why We Shouldn t Judge a Country by Its GDP by Michael Green (2015) and Economist article What s Gone Wrong with Democracy (2014) will be summarized and used to compare Russia, China, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Relevant terms, such as modernization, legitimacy, and consent, will be intertwined with the discussions of forms of government to understand how governmental structures operate in relation to people. In conclusion, I will argue that the best form of government is a federal parliamentary republic. Michael Green s article, Why We Shouldn t Judge A Country by Its GDP, explored the concept of judging a country s growth by the prosperity of its citizens, not by its economic prowess (2015). Green and his team developed a model in 2014, called the Social Progress Index, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Foreign Tax Credit For Individuals Foreign Tax Credit for Individuals: The Foreign Tax Credit is designed to be very simple in nature, as it only requires basic math skills to compute the tax liability with the credit. As mentioned above, income that is earned in a foreign location may be taxed by the respective government of that location. Therefore, because the United States utilizes a global tax system, the individual or entity may be taxed by the foreign government and definitely taxed by the United States government. Therefore in order to reduce the double taxation liability, the government allows U.S. taxpaying entities to reduce U.S. income tax dollar for dollar (credited) by the amount that has been paid in income tax by a U.S. person to a foreign government (Adams). Furthermore, there are two limitations on this credit that a U.S. taxpaying entity must be aware of. The first limitation states that only income tax is only susceptible to the credit. To further explain, this means taxes like Value Added Tax, property taxes, taxes on capital or assets, and any other tax which the U.S. does not consider a tax on income are excluded from the foreign tax credit (Adams). (However, a valuable tax planning strategy will note that these taxes may be deductible on an individual s Schedule A for Itemized Deductions. In addition, if an individual owns a business or rents out a building abroad, he/she can deduct these expenses on his/her Schedule C or Schedule E). The second limitation states that an ... Colonel John Stapp created high powered sled called the Sonic Wind No. 1 that could deliver supersonic like speeds to orchestrate the situations that Chuck Yeager exhibited. At his first attempt, he managed to reach a speed of 421 miles per hour which earned the title as the Fastest Man on Earth. That was a success to him but now his primary concern is protecting pilots during ejection. Hospitality in the Qu ran Ideas on Cultural Hospitality in the Quran The virtues within the Qur an regarding hospitality and generosity seem to be a product of the landscape of pre Islamic Arabia. The communities that settled along the trade routes of the Arabian Peninsula relied on merchants returning to their community to trade goods. Again this broad support for kind speech and generous giving is used as a lens through which the stories of hospitality can be viewed. The Qur an shows the importance of hospitality in two intertwined stories, and while the passages that dictate kindness, generosity and manners number well over twenty, the impact of these two hospitality accounts is memorable and complex. The use of tourniquets has been documented in the annals of historical medicine as far back as 6th century BC. The Hippocratic body of work mentions in passing tight bandaging and distal limb gangrene without noting hemorrhage control, probably because hemorrhage and death, although linked empirically, were not linked philosophically by the ancient Greeks. (Kragh, Swan, Smith, Mabry, Blackbourne, 2012, para. 6) The first reported use of a battlefield tourniquet was by French army surgeon, Etienne Morel in 1674 (Welling, McKay, Rasmussen, Rich, 2011). The device included a belt that went through a wood block (with a hole at each end), and a stick was used in the loop of the belt around the limb to twist as a windlass; this was known as a block tourniquet. The actual word tourniquet originated from the French word toner, meaning to turn. A tourniquet is a constricting or compressing device used as a bandage to control venous and arterial circulation to an extremity for a period of time. Pressure is applied circumferentially to the skin and underlying tissues of a limb. The pressure is transferred to the walls of the vessels causing them to become temporarily occluded. What does this mean to the average individual? When surrounded by various cultures, as humans, we sometimes have tough decisions to make. You can develop new relationships, or avoid another due to one s culture. The world is a very intriguing place because no matter where you go, no country, state or city will be exactly the same. It is always interesting to compare countries to America to realize how different our culture compares to others. For example, Nigeria (when compared to the United States) is a very different place which could be a vast culture shock to someone who is not familiar with that specific culture or society. • 19. The Debate About Hierarchy And Equality Within Marriage The debate about hierarchy and equality within marriage is a topic that has reverberated through the centuries as theologians, societies, and couples try to flesh out the roles of man and woman in marriage. Various hermeneutical lenses and theologians have looked at Scripture to create different assertions about who holds the authority and if there is a disparity in spousal equality. Within John Paul II s Theology of Body the hermeneutic he employs to read Scripture, especially Genesis and Ephesians, which announces spousal equality. Through this paper, it will be argued that John Paul II believes there is an equality of authority within marriage because marriage is reciprocal and communitarian with the basis of Christian pietas (ToB, 89:1). In John Paul II s Wednesday General Audience on August 11, 1982 (#89) he enumerated the reciprocal nature of marriage in which he established equal authority within this union. Ephesians 51 33 was the basis for his view because this passage details how spousal equality is based on the call for each spouse to be subject to one another in the fear of Christ (Eph. 5:21). The use of this passage, which is usually associated with subordination, shows the reciprocal and the communal nature of the sacrament based on pietas. Pietas refer to the duty of Christians to respond to the command to fear the Lord and spring from the profound consciousness of the mystery of Christ (ToB, 89:1). Even today, market economies rely on practices that have a resemblance to those of the middle ages and antiquity. If a person of yester years were exposed to the workings of the free market, they would be baffled with how resources are allocated to the right places especially labor and production. The beginnings of the economic society are traced to the relatable but separate problems that the society faced: the production of sufficient goods and services that would ensure the survival of the society and the organization of production output to make certain that there is more production (Heilbroner and Milberg 4). All medieval societies sought for ways to deal with these problems. Through history, humankind has tried to solve the problems of production and distribution in three ways: tradition, command and market economies (Heilbroner and Milberg 6). They are gaining beliefs that their life outside of violent video games wants them to fail, and that society is unable to understand their way of life. Violent video games are destroying the possibility of relationships between people. 90% of video games portray violence. Our brain sometimes doesn t distinguish between what is real and what we see on TV (Barclay). This is a scary realization because it shows that what we watch and play on TV can have a very harmful effect on our lives. Our brain is sometimes unable to recognize what is real and what is not, which in turn will not be able to help determine when a violent situation is occurring and when one is not. Violent video games do not promote prosocial behavior between humans. Violent video games have contributed to fatal actions. Mika Brzezinski said, It s kind of hard not to make a connection [between games and the Navy Yard Shooting] when you hear [the shooter s] friend saying that he would watch on a life size screen these violent video games for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours (Kain). As defenders gradually update their security measures, attackers respond accordingly. Such arms race dynamics lead to threats of increasing sophistication and efficiency. Today s cybercriminals often have a long term interest in their targets and often employ social engineering to get inside a protected environment. Their tactics commonly include malicious payload that attempts to compromise the victim s system and may continue spreading within the organization. The attacker bet on the likelihood that the recipient had a meeting coming up and would want to view the agenda. People comply with social norms, looking at others for behavioral cues. One example of this behavior is the people s tendency to click on links shared by their friends on social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter. The Koobface worm has been highly successful at convincing people to visit malicious websites by posting its links using the victims social networking accounts. In another example, Nugache worm used infected systems to download its malicious components from a legitimate download tracking site, boosting the popularity of its files to attract new victims. People place trust in security tools. Much like people put trust into the individuals who look like doctors by wearing lab coats, users sometimes blindly trust the measures taken for the sake of security. Rogue antivirus tools have been highly successful at spreading by convincing victims that their computers are infected and demand immediate intervention. • 29. Benefits Of Getting A Job Than High Educated Employees Essay In fall 2016, some 20.5 million students are expected to attend American colleges and universities, constituting an increase of about 5.2 million since fall 2000. The employment rate was higher for those with higher levels of educational attainment. For example, in 2015, the employment rate for 20 to 24 year olds (also referred to as young adults in this indicator) with a bachelor s degree or higher was higher than the rate for young adults with some college but no bachelor s degree (89 vs. 76 percent). As you can see from these facts above, the number of students going to universities is dramatically increasing because employer s demand for high educated employees climbs fast. Although many people, who are motivated by Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg, argue that experience is more important for getting a job than your record at school, others believe that obtaining good grades can aid you in getting more chance of getting great jobs, benefit yourself with advantages such as scholarships and internship or prove that you are passionate with your major. During an interview, it is clear that GPA attached in your resume is one of the most vital elements that all employers look at. While the videos were nominated for the same award, they are significantly different. Mainly due to the fact that the genre s of the two artists are varied. Taylor Swift being a country singer, and Beyonce a pop singer. Beyonce s video contributes to the pop genre consisting of urban contemporary, and dance style. • 31. The Health Information Exchange And Hie Introduction When it comes to healthcare there are a lot of things that have evolved. One in particular is that of the patients health care records and how they are written as well as being stored. In this paper I will be discussing the evolution of this process via the Health Information Exchange or HIE. This will involve the history of the system, problems that are involved in this evolution, as well as the security issues that will need to be addressed when moving from different types of records. A lot of things have evolved when it comes to patient records in the medical field. In medical facilities the patient records use to be in paper form. There would be multiple pages of patient information, doctor notes, physical findings as well as diagnoses. These were all kept in a filing cabinet where mostly anyone could obtain the files and have the patient s information. If the patient was at a different facility these records would then have to be mailed over which is not the most secure way to transfer a patients personal health records. It was then evolved that records should now be made electronically. This is so that security and transmission of a patients record can be more reliable. The Health Information Exchange (HIE) started to evolve around 1990. This is when the Community Health Information System was also created in order to get the electronic records started. • 33. Characterization Of Duck Viperin And The Natural Reservoir... Characterization of duck viperin Introduction: Ducks (Anas platyrhynchos) and other waterfowl are the natural reservoir of Influenza A virus (IAV) (Webster et al. 1992). IAV may cross the species barrier from the reservoir species causing sporadic infections in other avian or mammalian species (Webster et al. 1995). These infections impose a large burden on human and animal health worldwide leading to economic losses; In humans, in 2008, 90 million new influenza infections resulted in an estimated 28000 115000 deaths worldwide (Nair et al. 2011), in birds, in 1999, Italy experienced a HPAI epidemic caused by an H7N1 virus subtype. In total 16 million birds were culled and the estimated loss was about € 507 million, with € 112 million in direct losses and € 395 million in consequential losses (Sartore et al. 2010). Ducks often display little to no disease symptoms after IAV infection. They stimulate a robust innate immune response when infected with HPAI by up regulating many innate immune genes (Vanderven et al. 2012). Therefore, characterization of innate immune genes of ducks, particularly the genes that are upregulated during IAV infection, might give insight into the relationship between IAV and the innate immune response of ducks, which will help us to control the virus. When exposing the mallard ducks to the highly pathogenic IAV (H5N1), there was an upregulation in some innate immunity genes; one of the highest upregulated gene was viperin (Virus inhibitory protein, ... What if I elaborated to say the closest I have ever gotten to a symphony was a grade four band concert, in which my little brother played the saxophone (he quit the following year.) Maybe I could compare this experience to all the DIY rock shows I attended back home in basements/back rooms where the sounds could be loud enough to deafen people standing outside and the heat could bring almost anyone to immediate sickness, but that seems a little crude. The bottom line is, I have never been fortunate enough to encounter the amount or complexity of instruments as I did at Willson Auditorium. Before continuing, I would like to express sincere gratitude toward requiring, and thus allowing, me to attend this fantastic concert. I believe that I not only enjoyed a wonderful performance but also appreciated music with knowledge and context. It is because of said knowledge and context that the music sounded lifelike, and the connections between instruments and literary ideas were formed for the first time. Upon arrival to the seats I was surprised by the vastness of the venue, and the proximity of my seat to the stage (the row directly ahead of me was front row.) When the musicians took stage, I was slightly disappointed at my inability to see everyone, however, my view of the double basses was intriguing as I had not realized how large they actually are (I had never seen one in real life prior.) ... Scholars credit him with writing much of the Book of Psalms. David, an ancestor of Jesus (a.k.a. Son of David), also prophesied about the coming Messiah, won fame and renown for defeating Israel s enemies, and built the temple in Jerusalem. But despite these distinctions, David occasionally committed several disgraceful acts of great sinfulness. Christians commonly think of David s greatest sin as his plot to murder Uriah and then marry Uriah s wife Bathsheba. By far, a far greater sin was David;s unauthorized census of Israel. Von Neumann architecture, or the Von Neumann model, stems from a 1945 computer architecture description by the physicist, mathematician, and polymath John von Neumann and others. This describes a design architecture for an electronic digital computer with a control unit containing an instruction register and program counter , external mass storage, subdivisions of a processing unit consisting of arithmetic logic unit and processor registers, a memory to store both data and commands, also an input and output mechanisms. The meaning of the term has grown to mean a stored program computer in which a command fetch and a data operation cannot occur at the same time because they share a common bus. This is commonly referred to as the Von ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Add the span or extent of the instruction to the program counter. Interpret the instruction using the control unit. Meanwhile, The control unit commands the rest of the computer to perform some type of operation. The instruction may change the address in the program counter, thus permitting repetitive operations. The instruction may also change the program counter . this is done only if some arithmetic condition is true, thus giving the effect of a decision, which can be calculated to any degree of complexity by the preceding arithmetic and logic. Once all of this is done, it is programed to go back to step 1. The design of The Von Neumann architecture is a little more straightforward than the more modern Harvard architecture. It too is a stored program system; nevertheless, it has one dedicated set of address and data buses for reading data from and imprinting data to memory, and an additional set of address and data buses for obtaining instructions. Von Neumann devoted most of his Preliminary Discussion to the design of the arithmetic unit. The details of this are the least interesting part of the paper from the standpoint of the organization of his computer, and its influence on future developments. The capabilities of the arithmetic unit were limited to the performance of some arbitrary subset of the possible arithmetic operations. He observes that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In The Queen Bee and Her Court Rosalind Wiseman talked about classifying high school cliques. These classifications are: The Queen Bee, Sidekick, Banker, Floater, Torn Bystander, Pleaser/Wannabe/Messenger, and Target. The Queen Bee is the ringleader of this clique. She is the one who tells everyone what to do and she is not intimidated by anyone. The Sidekick is a pushover. The Banker is extremely secretive. The Floater spends time with any and everyone in the school. The Torn Bystander is not good at saying no to her friends. The Pleaser/Wannabe/Messenger is the person who has all of the gossip. My classifications on people are both negative and positive. My negative classifications are: all caucasians are snobby, rich, and selfish, all blonde women are dumb, and only anorexic women can become models. • 39. Compare And Contrast King Poe Vs King Poe vs King When thinking of two short stories, The Man in the Black Suit and The Black Cat come to mind. The narrators of both these stories include suspense and bring about the effects on their minds throughout both stories. Evidently, there are many similarities and differences between them both. Between both narrators, they share the same point of view. However, one narrator seems to be angry while the other seems to be intimidated. The narrators of The Man in the Black Suit and The Black Cat similarly have first person point of view, however King s key difference of not being reliable results in suspense for that story. Both narrators from the story share a similarity of having first person point of view. To clarify, both narrators go through a hardship that they both tell throughout their story. Gary from The Man in the Black Suit faces his hardship through seeing that He was wearing a black three piece suit, and I knew right away that he was not a human being, because his eyes were the orangey red of flames in a wood stove (King 5). Through this quote, readers can infer by the use of the narrator s diction that he was intimidated by the man in the black suit. In addition, by the narrator s choice of I , it meant that the narrator was by himself during this hardship. The fearful tone that the narrator suggests helps contribute to the point of view used in the quote above. The structure of the story for the narrator to be lonely throughout his hardship makes the theme (bad things happen to good people) significant. Not to mention, during the story, the reader develops an inference that the narrator may not make it out of the situation alive. Comparatively, the narrator from The Black Cat has the same point of view as the narrator in The Man in the Black Suit. The husband in The Black Cat seems to believe that he is alone until he meets this cat named Pluto who genuinely loved him. The narrator faces a hardship when he says ...I knew that it had loved me, and because I felt it had given me no reason of offence; hung it because I knew that in doing so I was committing a sin... The Effective Use Of Manipulation In Shakespeare s Hamlet In Shakespeare s Hamlet, manipulation has been used by various characters to psychologically control and affect others in order to achieve specific personal agendas. The death of King Hamlet greatly affected the people of Denmark, especially his son Hamlet. The appearance of the ghost of King Hamlet was the beginning of the play s plot. It is obvious that the ghost s agenda was to persuade Hamlet into avenging his father s wrongful and untimely death. Since the beginning of the play, Shakespeare clearly illustrated Hamlet s disapproval of the Queen and Claudius relationship.
