A Brief Note On Bar Code Medication Administration Essay
Bar Code Medication Administration in the Emergency Department The major concept in the
healthcare setting is patient safety in health service quality. One of the most common medical errors
that affect patient safety and health outcomes is medication errors. Medication errors in the emergency
department (ED) can be caused by many things such as poor penmanship, confusion of drugs with the
same names, confusion between dosing units and incorrect calculations of dosages (Silverman, 2014).
Bar code medication administration (BCMA) technology has been implemented in several different
EDs to reduce medications administration errors. The purpose of this paper is to describe
intradepartmental improvements that can be made to increase patient safety and compliance by
nursing staff with medication administration in the ED setting.
Addressing the Issue To determine the level of competency of nurses during medication
administration facilities should provide competency exams to nurses that focus on medications
administration procedures. Competency and education of medication administration in nurses should
be assessed during orientation and on a yearly basis. Medication administration is one of the most
common duties nurses have in hospitals. According to the New Zealand Medical Journal, most of the
injuries and adverse reactions that result from the wrong medications or doses given could have been
prevented through safer medication practices and education (p 63). The Institute for

The Sarbanes Oxley Act ( Act ) Essay
Amol M. Shanbhag Professor Rankin MGT 3300 1 December 2016 The Sarbanes Oxley Act The
Sarbanes Oxley Act, is an act passed by U.S. Congress on July 30, 2002. The primary reason was to
protect investors from the possibility of fraudulent accounting activities by corporations. The act is
commonly known as SOX Act. The act is named after its cosponsors, U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes and
U.S. Representative Michael G. Oxley. It mandates strict reforms to improve financial disclosures
from corporations and prevent accounting fraud. The Sarbanes Oxley Act is arranged into eleven titles.
They are Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), Auditor Independence, Corporate
Responsibility, Enhanced Financial Disclosures, Analyst Conflicts of Interest, Commission Resources
and Authority, White Collar Crime Penalty Enhancement, Corporate Tax Returns, and Corporate
Fraud Accountability. These titles provide the description of specific requirements and mandates for
the financial reporting. The SOX Act monitors compliance through various sections. However, the
most significant sections are 302 (Disclosure controls), 401 (Disclosures in periodic reports), 404
(Assessment of internal control), 802 (Criminal penalties for influencing US Agency
investigation/proper administration). As a result of SOX Act, the top management must individually
certify the accuracy of financial information. The Act increased the oversight role of board of directors

Nuclear Strikes Essay
Nuclear Strikes
Scientifically, there is no obstacle for a nuclear or atomic bomb. There are no secrets in Nuclear
Science anymore. Anyone with a reasonable physics degree and access to a good technical library
could design a workable atomic bomb in less than 6 months, so why hasn t anyone. Maybe there has
been, no one is exactly sure. In the last 52 years there has been enough nuclear warheads made to
destroy every city in the world and still have thousands left over.(Church 40) This all happened during
the Cold War, a period of 45 years
(1947 1991), between mainly the two superpowers (United States and the Soviet
Union). Other nations were involved, and 2 wars were fought over it (Korea and
Vietnam) and a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1953 the Russians did it too (thanks to the Rosenberg s). In 1958 the United States,
Great Britain, and the Soviet Union stopped testing but in 1961 France started.
Then the Cuban Missile Crisis happened. This event was the closest we have ever come to a nuclear
war. This event it really kind of woke the United States and
Soviet Union up about what could happen. Because of this a direct phoneline was set up between the
Kremlin and the white house.
The main question today is who has control of the weapons. The former superpower Russia is in
political turmoil. Now instead of two people with their hands on the button there could be dozens!
Even the Central Intelligence Agency director John Deutch said he is afraid of loose nukes being
smuggled out of
Russia.(McGirk 35) The United States is in pretty good condition because not much nuclear waste is
stolen (they believe) and no missiles ever have been stolen. But in some countries nuclear technicians
haven t been paid in six months (Russia). Security is breaking down, and waste is leaking out. What is
everyone going to do the next morning after a nuclear terrorist attack.
The four new formed nations of Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Russia all have nuclear missiles.
Although Ukraine and Belarus say they want no part of them it is not known their real stance.

Pluto Pros And Cons
People love Pluto, whether they are young or old it does not seem to matter. The planet (and Walt
Disney s beloved character) holds a special place in a lot of people s hearts. Yet, this only became
clear to me after reading The Pluto Files by Neil deGrasse Tyson. I remember when Pluto s
classification changed from being a planet to a dwarf planet however, I was never aware of how big of
a controversy it caused. The fact that there was a conference deciding whether or not we should keep
Pluto as our ninth planet was not something I was aware of previously to this book. Tyson does a
wonderful job explaining the story of Pluto and not only the how the planet was reclassified but also
why. As we spoke about in class Pluto does not really fit into the categories of being a planet, this was
one of the major arguments as to why Pluto should not be considered our nineth planet anymore. I
believe that it is interesting that some people were trying to then create a classification specifically for
Pluto. However, this obviously did not come to be as there must be more than one of something in
order for it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What is surprising is how people reacted and continue to over the decision. I agree with Tyson when
he says Find quote about Pluto being the smallest planet and largest dwarf planet Yet, it is surprising
that a lot of people do not feel this way. Why are people so emotionally attached to an object that is
billions of miles away? Is it because it was one of the easier planets to remember in the solar system?
Or perhaps it was because it was the smallest and people tend to cheer for the underdog. No doubt
Disney s fun, loving pup had some help in the matter as well. Whatever the case people feel strongly
enough about the issue to write Tyson personally about the regrouping of their favorite planet. Again
what surprises me is that it was not only children but also

Summary Of A Novel By Aldo Leopold
In this novel written by Aldo Leopold, he brings in a dreamy imagery ridden writing that entices the
reader. Along with photographs that go along with his journey and conservation. The book goes in
order of months starting with January and once it hits December, instead of months they are replaced
with locations. Leopold takes his stance to talk about conservation, but not only that he goes on to
make the point of the importance of trying to maintain harmony through what Leopold termed as land
ethics. Leopold takes a different route of explain things that are constructed in this novel, in every
observation he so vividly describes for the reader. Leopold takes his love and respect for land and
heartfully writes this novel to inform others about the beauty of land as well. Although, Leopold s
novel was in three sections, each serving its own purpose. Nevertheless, each still all came together to
connect with the same theme, which was to have harmony between nature and humanity.
In the beginning of the novel Leopold begins by giving the reader the census of changing of
ecosystems, exploring the interactions among animals as well as plants and the impact of interactions
through the seasons. He widens the field, giving the reader a realistic idea of landscapes. Leopold also
goes on to share in the second section his journey to various farms and places throughout the United
States, not holding anything back. Leopold addresses the important issues such as declining natural

Cultural Competence In Religion
As the world becomes more globalized, cultural competence becomes increasingly important. It is
essential that individuals are willing to understand various viewpoints, cultures, and religions, even if
it is one that is not prevalent in their current surroundings. While under 3 percent of United States
citizens identify as Muslim, they account for over 20% of the world population. Islam is a
monotheistic religion that worships the deity Allah and follows similar principles and morals as
Christianity and Judaism. In December of the year 2014, I interviewed one of its followers.

The Quran suggests that women cover their hair and praises overall modesty. Hiba personally would
like to begin wearing the hijabi, a scarf that covers the hair, fairly soon, but outside factors contribute
to her decision. Her aunt wears the abaya dress that fully covers her body. Whenever I go anywhere
with her , Hiba explains, people stare . Her parents also suggest that she wait before she decides to
fully commit to the hijab lifestyle. Hiba also explains a time in middle school when abiding by her
personal dress code was difficult. In her gym class, the required uniform involved shorts. In retrospect,
she explains that she probably could have asked for an exception from rule if she explained it was due
to her personal beliefs. At the time it seemed easier for her to avoid questions and deal with feeling
uncomfortable. I deeply respect the Muslim emphasis on conservative dress. I strongly support the
idea of females being able to wear what makes them feel comfortable and proud with facing

It is easy to embrace someone who is lovable, but it is much more difficult to accept a more
challenging child. I would start by demonstrating grace and patience with them, which would include
forgiving their mistakes and starting with a clean slate every day. In addition, I plan to provide
positive solutions which would benefit both the class and the student. I would never give up on them.
Next, I would lead by example by being receptive to each child s personal space and needs. This
would include looking for facial cues and evaluating their actions to determine what a child would
benefit from. Responsibility can be demonstrated by being accountable for both my successes and
mistakes. For example, if I realized that I gave incorrect information, I would be honest about it to my
students. Lastly, service can be displayed by going above and beyond the call of duty on a regular
basis. This could mean staying before or after school to mentor a student, or making a point to give
constructive positive feedback to every student.

Essay about Charles Darwin s Life and Revolutionary Work
Charles Darwin by far, revolutionized biology as known to modern society. He is responsible for the
theory of evolution that people of today still go by. He was born on February 12, 1809 in England as
the fifth child into the family of Dr. Robert and Susannah Darwin. He had three older sisters and one
older brother. Because of his father s success as a physician, and his mother coming from the
Wedgewood family fortune, the Darwin family was considered well off. Robert Darwin worked many
great hours while Susannah stayed home to take care of the children. Unfortunately, when Charles was
eight years old his mother passed away from complications of an illness that she had for a year. From
that point on, Robert began working much more and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After graduation, he received a letter from his friend Henslow informing him that he knew of a sailor
captain in search of a naturalist and thought Charles was best suited for the job. Though Robert
Darwin was hesitant about letting his son go, he eventually caved. The journey that Charles Darwin
went on became known as the Voyage of the Beagle. The ultimate goal of the journey was to study
and map the coast lines of South America. Charles Darwin had been given the chance to explore a
world unknown by Europeans. Not only that, but Charles would be able to do some science as well.
From the adventure, Charles Darwin learned many new fascinating things. He saw animals on land
that resembled other animals but were adapted to different things. For example, he saw two types of
lizards one that was made to live in the water and one that was made to live on land. This sparked his
curiosity. According to the book of Genesis, nothing that God has created changes. Everything
remains the same, as God had intended. When he found fossils, the same was true. He found things
that had resembled animals of his time but were slightly bigger or different in some way or another
but they had been extinct. Charles began to believe that the animals were changing despite the fact
that his thoughts went against everything he was taught. He took lots of samples of animals and
findings back home to England. He was going to need evidence to support his new theory yet it took
him nearly twenty

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Discrete Wavelet Transform
Discrete Wavelet Transform DWT is a frequency based transform which is performed on wavelets. It
can be 1 D, 2 D and etc. It divides an image into four sub bands, namely  LL (Low resolution image)
 HL (Horizontal)  LH (vertical)  HH (diagonal) This division can be performed up to many
levels. It captures not only notion of frequency content but also temporal content. Wavelets provide a
mathematical way of encoding information in such a way that it is layered according to level of detail.
DWT is more computationally efficient than other transformations because of its excellent localization
properties. Wavelets are capable of complete lossless reconstruction of image[6]. Advantages of DWT

Three levels of rotations have been implemented. First the original watermarked image is being
rotated by 90o , then 180o and at last the image is being rotated by 270o in clock wise direction.
Gaussian noise On digital image Gaussian noise can be reduced using a spatial filter, though when
smoothing an image, an undesirable outcome may result in the blurring of fine scaled image edges and
details because they also correspond to blocked high frequencies. Image compression Image
compression may be lossy or lossless. Lossless compression is preferred for archival purposes and
often for medical imaging, technical drawings, clip art, or comics. Lossy compression methods,
especially when used at low bit rates, introduce compression artifacts. Lossy methods are especially
suitable for natural images such as photographs in applications. Salt and pepper Noise Salt and pepper
noise is an attack for which a certain amount of the pixels in the image are either black or white
(hence the name of the noise). Salt and pepper noise can be used to model defects in the transmission
of the image that a pixel is corrupted. Additive

Essay about Christendom and The Song of Roland
The Song of Roland is the oldest epic poem in French, written by an anonymous poet, composed in
between late eleven century to twelfth century. This epic poetry holds an important place in the history
of France and invention of Christendom. The Song of Roland is a cultural artifact that takes us to the
journey of Medieval Europe, when religion becomes an important element for the formation of proto
Europe. Religion plays a crucial role in The Song of Roland and becomes the reason of criticism.
Some readers might take this poem as a religious text, whereas, for some reader it is a fictional literary
work and contain ideological perspective. The Song of Roland cannot be consider as a religious text,

which helps Christians to recognize themselves righteous and superior to Muslims. Davies Norman

Caged Bird Persuasion Essay
Authors use different kinds of persuasion to influence the reader or the person listening. They use
those modes of persuasion to get their purpose across to the intended audience. The poem Caged Bird
by Maya Angelou and Hillary Clinton s Women s Rights Speech use logos, ethos, and pathos to get
their purpose across to a wide variety of individuals.
In Caged Bird written by Maya Angelou, She has two different perspectives in the poem, one being a
caged bird, and the other being a free bird. The poem might not seem like it has much depth, but the
true meaning of this text is inspiring. This poem was able to bring hope to Americans who were
fighting for civil rights. She uses the caged bird in the poem to show the battle that many Americans
faced during this time. In one stanza, Angelou states, his wings are clipped and his feet are tied, so he
opens his throat to sing (Angelou). Although the caged bird has obstacles, like his tied feet, he sings

We come together in fields and factories, in village markets and supermarkets, in living rooms and

the importance of it. She uses the examples, such as coming together in fields and factories to extend
this purpose. During the time of this speech, the 1990 s, celebrating women was extremely focused on.

Origin Of Creation Myths
I have learned from the textbook that there are essentially two different ways that people have sought
to understand their origins. The first has to with storytelling in the creation (or origin) myths. These
myths are explanations of how a group of people decided their moral principles that allowed them to
establish a set of rules for their relationships with each other, nature, and the supernatural world. The
explanation of how these relationships worked and came to be further created distinct cultural and
societal structures that each member of that community would follow and share. One of the creation
myths I cam across while reading about Mesopotamia was that of the Babylonian people who believed
that humankind had been created from the

Summary Of The Story Of The Three Little Pigs
In England, 1890 there was a tale named The Story of the Three Little Pigs . In this tale, an old sow
sends her three little pigs into the world to seek their fortune. The pig s meet a man; he supplies them
with building materials such as: straws, sticks, and bricks. Each pig uses one of the materials to build
their house with. The first pig builds his house with straws and the second with sticks; only to get
devoured by a hungry wolf who huffed and puffed and blew their houses down. However, the third pig
who built his house with bricks survived the mischievous wolf. The wolf thought to himself, Well! If I
can t get to him, then I ll have to find a way to bring him to me . So, the wolf tried to lure the pig out
of his home. He tried three various places the: turnip field, apple tree, and fair. But, the pig outsmarted
him by going one hour earlier. The wolf was angry and decided to climb down the pig s chimney.
Subsequently, the wolf was unaware of what the pig had in store for him on the other side; a big pot of
scorching water. The pig celebrated his victory by eating the wolf for dinner. Throughout The Story of
the Three Little Pigs the third little pig outwitted his brothers by exemplifying astute qualities that
allowed him to further his quest against the wolf. There was a plethora of different events that
showcased the third pig s intelligence. To name a few: building his house with bricks, surviving the

Defense Of Mary Warren In The Crucible By Arthur Miller
Emma Harrison 10/24/17 Ms. Ruiz Period 6 Defense of Mary Warren When it comes to Arthur Miller
s allegorical work, The Crucible, very few characters can be deemed completely innocent. While just
about every person in this story has a flaw of envy, pride, or selfishness, characters can often be sorted
into the accuser or accused categories. One exception to this is Mary Warren. Throughout the story,
her loyalties switch back and forth between these two sides. Due to this, she may seem like a selfish
and unsympathetic character; that is not the case, however. Mary Warren is an abused and manipulated
child, whose decisions in the story are certainly justified, given her situation. The first we see of Mary
is when Betty falls ill after the the girls are caught congregating in the woods. Immediately, we see she
is terrified, fully aware that them being accused of witchcraft would be a hangin error (1268). Abigail
responds to her fear with an order to lie; she threatens them with violence should they not obey her.
Abigail is one of Mary Warren s main abusers in the story. John Proctor, Mary s employer, enters the
scene next. When he sees her away from his house, he scolds her in a humiliating fashion, even
threatening to whip her. From the stage directions, we see she tries to retain a shred of dignity (1269),
when this happens, leading to the belief that this reproach from Proctor is common in her life. We don
t hear from Mary again until the beginning of Act II. She

The Pros And Cons Of Homeless Women
The Homeless Period On average, women spend about $3,360 on essential feminine hygiene products
throughout their entire lives, but what happens when a woman cannot even afford her monthly
menstrual expenses? Every month homeless women are put on a crisis situation recurring to extreme
methods to cope with their periods. These women want to feel clean; unfortunately, they do not have
the means to do so because pads and tampons are expensive. In fact, they are taxed as luxury items in
more than thirty states. As of today, there is not a clear policy as to where homeless women can find
free feminine hygiene products when they need them. This is more paupers problem, it is a health,
hygiene, and dignity issue. The government needs to make a legislation that allows homeless women
to get free pads and tampons The means by which homeless women cope with their periods are
unbelievable. In their own voice periods brings inconvenience to the level of misery (Shay). When
these women cannot afford to buy feminine hygiene products, they use whatever they can to keep
themselves clean. Some of the common substitutes of pads and tampons are toilet paper, paper towels,

Persuasive Essay On Fast Food
As time has passed, Americans have become downright lazy and inconsiderate when it comes to
preparing their meals. They substitute fresh, nutritional, balanced meals for a big mac on their way to
work. Since Americans have become so lazy, the emphasis is on quick service rather than the quality
of the food. Open 24/7! It takes two hands to hold a whopper! There s fast food, then there s KFC!
Your way, right away! As Americans continue to fill their bodies with fatty, processed, fake food,
people around the world starve, and their access to clean drinking water is limited. So how is America
to help? Now, when I state this, know it is not for my own gain. I am not starving, malnourished, nor
am I grossly obese. This is simply a gain for the world, so that we may help those in need. In order for
fast food chains to shut down, we would need to get rid of the obese people. How do we do this in a
civil manner? Feed them to the malnourished. Now I know what you re thinking what is considered
obese? Some people work out excessively, and a healthy 400 pound male that can lift that weight has a
higher BMI because of the muscle. I mean to say the large ones, made entirely out of excess fat, the
meat ready to slide off their bones the way it slides off of Colonel Sander s chicken. By feeding these
overweight people to the malnourished, we not only will solve world hunger, but this will solve
overpopulation. People over the BMI of 30 + will be put to death, and for a reasonable, redeeming
cause. Those who are 18 will receive the meat of the generous donors. Those in the healthy range will
continue to eat the way they do, while being monitored by a doctor, of course, so we can watch their
eligibility for being overweight. Those who are overweight put on a watch list. The lower the BMI on
the overweight side, the less you are to be harassed by the government. If you re teeter tottering on the
obese line, you are put in a hospital, so that as soon as you can be put to slaughter, it s done. Not only
will this solve world hunger and overpopulation, but America won t need volunteers to go over to
these underdeveloped, third world countries, which will spare our time and supplies. Why would we

The Lakota Sioux Of The Sioux Nation
Of all the features upon the earth there are some ascribed with special significance. These features,
whether caves, lakes, deserts, outcroppings, or something else entirely, hold tremendous relevance for
the groups that dwell near them. Such beliefs in the worth and importance of such sites are entrusted
from one passing generation to the next. These beliefs, and the physical objects they rest upon,
become increasingly vital to that group s identity as a people. One such group is the Teton Lakota of
the Sioux Nation in South Dakota, an area that has been home to them for hundreds of years and,
while their entire homeland is precious to them, of particular importance are the Black Hills, or Paha
Sapa as they are called in Lakota.
The Black Hills are an isolated mountain range rising 3000 to 4000 feet above the surrounding plains
of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana (Sundstrom et al. 1996). The importance of this land to the
Sioux Nation goes beyond dedication to the place they have lived in for generations. The Lakota
creation story itself incorporates the Black Hills in particular as central to their identity as a people.
The Black Hills are not only regarded as the birthplace of Sioux culture in religious songs and
legends, but as the first place created on Earth literally the heart of the Earth, which is seen as Mother.
Sioux spiritual lore utilizes metaphor both to explain and to embody the thing signified the Black Hills
are the heart of the Earth, and that concept is

Urbanisation Is An Integral Part Of The Economic Development
Urbanisation is an integral part of the economic development. The global economic growth, poverty
alleviation, environmental sustainability and quality of life are largely determined by the extent of
urbanisation. In the past few decades urban areas in the world have experienced inadequate
infrastructure, rising population and the social problems like poverty, growth of informal settlement
and environmental problems accruing it. These problems in turn poses serious problems to sustainable
development in the present and future. Moreover many cities in the world have become the hotspot of
vulnerability due to climate change and variability and are susceptible to extreme and recurrent
weather events. Most of the urban areas, in recent decades, have been facing extreme weather events
and subsequent damages and loss of lives caused due these extreme events. Extreme event in its wake
severely affect economic development and poverty alleviation and has the potential to drastically alter
the development trajectory of the city and the areas surrounding it. In addition to physical, social and
economic vulnerabilities in such cities is the low adaptive capacity with constraints on physical,
financial and human resources. Therefore the assessment of vulnerability to extreme and recurrent
weather events of the city is an imperative for the vulnerability and exposure determines the extent of
adaptation and coping capacity of the communities in the periphory of the cities.

adventurers in search of a home. After St. Augustine passed away the cities of Hippo and Carthage
fell. Christian practices in Northern Africa died away when St. Augustine passed and only made a
short revival in the 6th century. However more Christian influence colonized in North Africa in the

books. In all of St. Augustine s famous writings he managed to establish several theories and made

Evaluating Blood Pressure In A Veterinary Hospital
After a patient presents to a veterinary hospital with an actual or potential cardiovascular condition, it
is important that the treating technician knows and understand the different monitoring parameters
they will need to evaluate. There are many different things a technician will need to evaluate. Some of
these include the following: heart rate, respiration, ECG, and blood pressure. Blood pressure is one of
the important monitoring tools that a technician has available to them to use when they are taking care
of a cardiovascular patient. A technician needs understand what the different readings mean so they
can respond appropriately. In addition, a technician needs to know the correct procedure for taking a
reading and how and where to use the equipment.
Hypertension is one potential complication from cardiovascular disease. Hypertension is when a
patient s blood pressure increases above the normal range. This condition can be caused by the heart
disease or it can be the condition that is causing the actual heart disease, for this reason it is important
to treat hypertension in any patient that presents with cardiovascular problems. Some of the
underlying conditions that can cause hypertension include the following: renal disease, ... Show more

If an incorrect size cuff is chosen it can give improper readings and provide false information about
the patient. To monitor a patient s blood pressure the correct technique is important. The way blood
pressure is monitored, is to place a cuff around a limb where the animal has a pulse. The technician
will then inflate the cuff and determine the blood pressure of the animal. A normal blood pressure
reading for a dog has a systolic range of 131 154. For dogs, the goal of treating hypertension is to
reduce the animal s blood pressure to an acceptable range. The normal goal is to reduce the systolic
blood pressure to below

Unit 3 Assignment 1 Compare And Contrast Art Style
Foreword
So I will start with some pictures of us two. That s me on the right and Danny on the left.
The Great swirl aka The Meeting A saying, that has become my motto, I think represent my general
perspective: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst . That is what I did before the first meeting. I was
not prepared though for how similar and compatible the two of us would be. The meeting of our two
art styles was exceptional. To give a bit more background on that: during and after high school I had
several jobs, by far my favorite was the two and a half years I spent creating online content, which
involved a combination between writing, storytelling, ambient music and audio/video streaming.
Danny is made out of the same clay as I am, he has skills within the realm of painting, music,
woodworks and even photography. Our style are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now it was Danny s job to continue on and bring in the art, I continued with setting up the ambient
music and thinking what could further improve the text. We both had a hand in setting the foundation
of this house, then we both went off and built the particular bits we were best suited for. This
collaboration process did not come naturally, usually there is this instinct to reign in the project into
your direction, similar to what I heard from a lot of my colleagues that their view differed from that of
their artist and they never really collaborated. Each fighting the other for artistic control. It is not for
me to say if their collaborations failed or succeeded, what I do know is that myself and Danny both
talked about this and reached the conclusion that the only way this would work is if we did it together
and set a common goal, rather than each having different ones. We drew the plan of the house together
and started to work on it only after we had both agreed on how each room should be

Rhetorical Analysis Of Lucas s The Art Of Public Speaking
Lisa, head publisher of a rising publishing firm company. She starts her day by speaking to her
publicity team on some new marketing strategies. Lisa then spends time on the phone talking with all
of the editors she represents. At a lunch meeting Lisa talks to the executive board on a couple of
manuscripts she has been championing. Would one think that Lisa is a public speaker? Most people
would say no, but after reading Stephen Lucas the Art of Public Speaking, I have learned that Lisa is a
public speaker and is using her public speaking skills to inform her coworkers. Chapter 15 is about
speaking to inform an audience. Lucas begins this chapter with the types of informative speeches and
some analysis and organization skills for each topic. There are many ways to classify an informative
speech, Lucas breaks it down into four main topics: objects, processes, events, and concepts. Lucas
begins this chapter by speaking on speeches about objects. Lucas defines an object as Objects include
anything that is visible, tangible, and stable to form. ... Here are examples of subjects for speeches
about objects e book readers, Susan B. Anthony, service dogs, titanium, human eye and Golden Gate
Bridge (Lucas, 2012, pg. 278.). Lucas reminds us that whatever subject a speaker will pick they must
know that they will not be able to tell everything on the subject. To instead pick the most important
ideas the speaker wants to get across and use those to develop a main point. Next Lucas shows

A Study On The And Properties Of Aluminium Alloys
CHAPTER 3 LITERATURE REVIEW
3.1 Introduction
The Al Zn Mg series aluminium alloys (7xxx) are the heat treatable alloys and widely applied as large
structural components in navigation and transportation facilities, due to good combination of hardness,
high strength and fracture toughness [1 6]. The use of Sc (scandium) to achieve grain refinement has
recently received great attention. The microstructures and properties of aluminium alloys are strongly
affected by adding small quantities of scandium. Scandium additions in excess of 0.55wt.% (i.e.,
hypereutectic) are very effective in grain refinement, suggesting that the primary ScAl3 phase serves
as an effective grain nucleant [7 9].
The effect of a Sc addition will of course depend on the composition of the alloy. The additions of Sc
in aluminium alloy appear to reduce hot tearing and shrinkage porosity. Hot shortness increase with
increase in Zn but decrease with increase in Mg content [10, 11]. The process of precipitation in the Al
Zn Mg alloy system is quite complex. The aged structure and the kinetics of ageing depend on both
the Zn and Mg concentration and the temperatures of solution and ageing treatments. As the Sc
contents increases within the specified solubility in the solid solution, the grains virtually do not
disintegrate. The maximum solubility of scandium increases from 0.35 to 0.6 wt.% [12, 13]. When the
amount of scandium exceeds the eutectic content and, consequently, there appear primary particles of

Mark Twain Mississippi River
Samuel Clemens may not be a very well known name, but Mark Twain is very well known. Twain
wrote Huckleberry Finn and Life on the Mississippi . He grew up on the Mississippi River which is
where he got his inspiration. His writing is very well known in American Literature. Mark Twain uses
the Mississippi River as inspiration for his novels.
Samuel Clemens from Florida ,Missouri was born on November 30,1835 and died in 1910. He had
four siblings. Twain was the third son and fifth child of John Marshall and Jane Clemens
(Enclopedia,1768,p.423). Twain had a wife named Olivia Langdom. Clemens chose Mark Twain as

Examples Of Sexism In The Princess And The Frog
I chose to analyze the movie The Princess and the Frog since I knew how sexist Disney princess
movies in the past, such as Cinderella and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, have been, but also
the interesting twists that try to hide sexism in the more modern tales. The Princess and The Frog
really is a classic Disney love story. Tiana is a woman in New Orleans who dreams of one day running
her own popular restaurant along the Mississippi River. Prince Naveen travels to New Orleans with
the sole purpose of marrying a rich woman to reclaim his part of his family s fortune. His greed is his
downfall when he seeks the services of Dr. Facilier, a voodoo man who turns him into a frog and turns
his servant, Lawrence, into the prince. In a chance meeting at a masquerade ball, Tiana and frog
Naveen meet. Naveen promises to pay for Tiana s restaurant if she would kiss him to turn him back
into a human. Tiana relents, kisses him, and then is also turned into a frog. It is a race against time for
them to find a way to turn themselves back into humans. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This stereotype is somewhat true since Prince Naveen is turned into a frog, fulfilling the animal part.
The only way that he can go back to being human in the film is by kissing a princess. The fact that the
kiss has to happen between a male and a female emphasizes the standard of heterosexual relationships
that was set as the social norm before by the men on the trolley. This is not the only thing the kiss
symbolize. The kiss also symbolize Naveen s reliance on women. Naveen tells Tiana in confidence
that he had never learned how to do anything because his parents did everything for him. Naveen is
used to the nurturing of his parents and expects everyone, included Tiana, to provide everything for

Eharmony Case
The Dating Services Industry provides a product that generated $320m in 2015, has historically grown
at a 5 year CAGR of 5.0%, and is forecast to grow 3.9% YoY into 2020. I believe this trend is justified
as a growing number of consumers begin to turn to the internet to look for love. Key Drivers for
growth include the proliferation of broadband internet connections, the exponential increase the
number of mobile devices, increased use of the internet, increasing GDP Per Capita (2.2% CAGR),
and a slowing marriage rate indicating a high proportion of single adults. According to the case, the
attractiveness of meeting others online instead of finding them in the real world has increased
dramatically over the last two decades. The primary drivers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As mentioned above, the competitive threat of rivals to incumbent eHarmony in the Dating Services
industry is high and increasing; therefore resulting in a very serious threat to industry profitability.
This threat is primarily due to the constant innovation in the industry that is driven by both internal
and external incumbents. Internally, downward pressure is currently being placed by three key
competitors, (1) InterActiveCorp, (2) eHarmony, (3) Zoosk, and (4) Others. InterActiveCorp,
eHarmony s largest competitor is a global conglomerate this creates a majority of the competition
within the industry. IAC has been very successful due to their ability to monetize products and expand
operations internationally, of which eHarmony is currently contemplating in the four options proposed
by Waldorf. However, the key difference and competitive advantage that IAC fails to maintain is their
customer selection. IAC believes that top line growth should be driven by delivering services to as
many customers as possible, whereas eHarmony believes in maintain the quality rather than the
quantity of their service. However, IAC quickly replicates any new product offered by eHarmony (e.g.
Chemistry.com was developed to replicate eHarmony s three step guided communication). Actions
such as these bypass competitive advantages and facilitate the need for a new way to decrease this

The Curse Of A Curse
Has it ever crossed your mind if you, your family or someone you know is being cursed based on
events happening in your or their life? While some people believe curses to be total bogus there are
actually many people out there who believe in being cursed. To be cursed means to invoke by evil. A
curse is the effective action of some power, distinguished solely by the quality of adversity that it
brings. It may also be said to result from a spell or prayer, imprecation or execration, or other
imposition by magic or witchcraft, asking that a god, natural force, or spirit bring misfortune to
someone. ( ). There are four different types of curses the first beginning with Biblical curses, These
curses are there for those who do not obey God s commandments. The next type is Witchcraft curses,
these are Curses placed on us by witches, any kind of witchcraft for the solutions to any problems one
may have. The third type is Spoken curses by people who are not witches, people place these curses
just by what they say or express about other people and lastly, there are Self imposed curses. This type
of curse is based on what you say about yourself. If you say something negative about yourself, you
are giving the devil permission to send you a demon. (,). People can cast evil spells like a curse for
similar reasons such as attempting to get even with enemies or trying to get ahead in life. In the novel

Egalitarianism In Buddhism
Buddhism is a unique religious tradition in its involvement of women in monastic positions. Buddhist
texts mention the importance of utilizing the skills of its female adherents, encouraging women in
aspirations of enlightenment as men have been wont to do since the religion s founding. This monastic
path, however, has proven more challenging, is subjected to segregative stricture, and has afforded
less egalitarianism for nuns than monks, further confounded by contradictory teachings and attitudes
toward female monastics. Buddha is shown through numerous Buddhist texts to value others, despite
their perceived status. Buddha himself was of noble birth, and in following his path to attain
understanding and enlightenment, he was acquainted with both privilege and deprivation. His journey
made him keenly aware of the innate power within individuals to improve themselves and was
portrayed behaving in accordance with that knowledge. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The man, Nidhi, had knowledge of the Buddha and revered him and his teachings. Embarrassed by his
low status and not wishing to besmirch Buddha s character by allowing interaction, Nidhi moved in
another direction so as to avoid crossing paths. Buddha sensed Nidhi s feelings and instructed Ananda
to continue on their initial path, while he would divert his steps, to enable him to meet and address
Nidhi. Seeing that Buddha intended to join him, Nidhi panicked; in a hasty attempt to conceal himself,
he spilled the waste bucket, causing a great commotion. When Buddha came upon him, Nidhi was in
such a state of dishevelment that he could only kneel and beg for forgiveness from the man he sought
to avoid. Buddha instructed Nidhi to stand and inquired as to whether he would join Buddha I
discipleship as a monk. Nidhi immediately protested, citing his lowly stature, to which Buddha

The Island Of Dr Moreau Analysis
In Wells s The Island of Doctor Moreau, which will be referred to as TIODM, the Beast Folk are
forced to live under a regime created by Dr. Moreau to control their habits. These habits include
walking on four legs, eating meat, and attacking men. Perhaps the most chilling scene of the entire
novel is set in the cave of the abused former beasts turned into humanesque simpletons. The main
character, Prendick, follows one of them, the Ape Man, back to their hovel, initiating himself into their
world. Not to chase other Men; that is the Law. Are we not Men? Not to eat Flesh or Fish; that is the

Those of lesser intellect become oppressed through following spiritual leaders, who later exploit them.
Western Marxism develops in Dune in the form of people seeking answers to their endless suffering as
critic Seigaj writes, . . . pervasive Western belief in realizing ultimate goals in an authority, object,
state of mind, system, or machine that will provide the final answers . . . (201). Essentially, every
single person in the West, and by extension, in between the pages is searching for the end, the final
place. This idea is seen not only in Dune s Bene Gessirit and Fremen religions, but in TIODM s Beast

The same consideration, on a smaller scale, the electronics industry enjoys. The electronics industry is
the combination of manufacturers of electronics products at different scales. Climatic considerations
are very important to the electronics industry. The incorrect climatic condition could cause devastating
effects for example Tribocorrosion involves mechanical and chemical/electrochemical interactions
between surfaces in relative motion in the presence of a corrosive environment. Tribocorrosion
phenomena are encountered in many technological areas where they cause damage to installations,
machines, and devices. Often tribocorrosion damage is a problem for safety or for human health. In
other applications tribocorrosion phenomena are put to good use in manufacturing. The chemo
mechanical mechanisms of tribocorrosion are still incompletely understood, they involve the
properties of contacting material surfaces, the mechanics of the contact and the corrosion conditions
(D Landolt, 2006). The tribocorrosion example clearly illustrates how climate could directly affect the
electronics industry. Topographic considerations are also directly linked to this industry. The incorrect
topographic location chosen for a factory or distribution center could cause millions in loses to the
industry. The electronics industry depends on strategic topographical locations for distribution, raw

  • 2. A Brief Note On Bar Code Medication Administration Essay Bar Code Medication Administration in the Emergency Department The major concept in the healthcare setting is patient safety in health service quality. One of the most common medical errors that affect patient safety and health outcomes is medication errors. Medication errors in the emergency department (ED) can be caused by many things such as poor penmanship, confusion of drugs with the same names, confusion between dosing units and incorrect calculations of dosages (Silverman, 2014). Bar code medication administration (BCMA) technology has been implemented in several different EDs to reduce medications administration errors. The purpose of this paper is to describe intradepartmental improvements that can be made to increase patient safety and compliance by nursing staff with medication administration in the ED setting. Addressing the Issue To determine the level of competency of nurses during medication administration facilities should provide competency exams to nurses that focus on medications administration procedures. Competency and education of medication administration in nurses should be assessed during orientation and on a yearly basis. Medication administration is one of the most common duties nurses have in hospitals. According to the New Zealand Medical Journal, most of the injuries and adverse reactions that result from the wrong medications or doses given could have been prevented through safer medication practices and education (p 63). Anyone with a reasonable physics degree and access to a good technical library could design a workable atomic bomb in less than 6 months, so why hasn t anyone. Maybe there has been, no one is exactly sure. • 5. Pluto Pros And Cons People love Pluto, whether they are young or old it does not seem to matter. The planet (and Walt Disney s beloved character) holds a special place in a lot of people s hearts. Yet, this only became clear to me after reading The Pluto Files by Neil deGrasse Tyson. I remember when Pluto s classification changed from being a planet to a dwarf planet however, I was never aware of how big of a controversy it caused. The fact that there was a conference deciding whether or not we should keep Pluto as our ninth planet was not something I was aware of previously to this book. Tyson does a wonderful job explaining the story of Pluto and not only the how the planet was reclassified but also why. As we spoke about in class Pluto does not really fit into the categories of being a planet, this was one of the major arguments as to why Pluto should not be considered our nineth planet anymore. I believe that it is interesting that some people were trying to then create a classification specifically for Pluto. However, this obviously did not come to be as there must be more than one of something in order for it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What is surprising is how people reacted and continue to over the decision. I agree with Tyson when he says Find quote about Pluto being the smallest planet and largest dwarf planet Yet, it is surprising that a lot of people do not feel this way. Why are people so emotionally attached to an object that is billions of miles away? Is it because it was one of the easier planets to remember in the solar system? Or perhaps it was because it was the smallest and people tend to cheer for the underdog. No doubt Disney s fun, loving pup had some help in the matter as well. Whatever the case people feel strongly enough about the issue to write Tyson personally about the regrouping of their favorite planet. Along with photographs that go along with his journey and conservation. The book goes in order of months starting with January and once it hits December, instead of months they are replaced with locations. Leopold takes his stance to talk about conservation, but not only that he goes on to make the point of the importance of trying to maintain harmony through what Leopold termed as land ethics. Leopold takes a different route of explain things that are constructed in this novel, in every observation he so vividly describes for the reader. Leopold takes his love and respect for land and heartfully writes this novel to inform others about the beauty of land as well. Although, Leopold s novel was in three sections, each serving its own purpose. Nevertheless, each still all came together to connect with the same theme, which was to have harmony between nature and humanity. In the beginning of the novel Leopold begins by giving the reader the census of changing of ecosystems, exploring the interactions among animals as well as plants and the impact of interactions through the seasons. He saw animals on land that resembled other animals but were adapted to different things. For example, he saw two types of lizards one that was made to live in the water and one that was made to live on land. This sparked his curiosity. According to the book of Genesis, nothing that God has created changes. Everything remains the same, as God had intended. When he found fossils, the same was true. He found things that had resembled animals of his time but were slightly bigger or different in some way or another but they had been extinct. Defense Of Mary Warren In The Crucible By Arthur Miller Emma Harrison 10/24/17 Ms. Ruiz Period 6 Defense of Mary Warren When it comes to Arthur Miller s allegorical work, The Crucible, very few characters can be deemed completely innocent. While just about every person in this story has a flaw of envy, pride, or selfishness, characters can often be sorted into the accuser or accused categories. One exception to this is Mary Warren. Throughout the story, her loyalties switch back and forth between these two sides. Due to this, she may seem like a selfish and unsympathetic character; that is not the case, however. Mary Warren is an abused and manipulated child, whose decisions in the story are certainly justified, given her situation. The first we see of Mary is when Betty falls ill after the the girls are caught congregating in the woods. Immediately, we see she is terrified, fully aware that them being accused of witchcraft would be a hangin error (1268). Abigail responds to her fear with an order to lie; she threatens them with violence should they not obey her. Abigail is one of Mary Warren s main abusers in the story. John Proctor, Mary s employer, enters the scene next. When he sees her away from his house, he scolds her in a humiliating fashion, even threatening to whip her. From the stage directions, we see she tries to retain a shred of dignity (1269), when this happens, leading to the belief that this reproach from Proctor is common in her life. • 18. Persuasive Essay On Fast Food As time has passed, Americans have become downright lazy and inconsiderate when it comes to preparing their meals. They substitute fresh, nutritional, balanced meals for a big mac on their way to work. Since Americans have become so lazy, the emphasis is on quick service rather than the quality of the food. Open 24/7! It takes two hands to hold a whopper! There s fast food, then there s KFC! Your way, right away! As Americans continue to fill their bodies with fatty, processed, fake food, people around the world starve, and their access to clean drinking water is limited. So how is America to help? Now, when I state this, know it is not for my own gain. I am not starving, malnourished, nor am I grossly obese. This is simply a gain for the world, so that we may help those in need. In order for fast food chains to shut down, we would need to get rid of the obese people. How do we do this in a civil manner? Feed them to the malnourished. Now I know what you re thinking what is considered obese? Some people work out excessively, and a healthy 400 pound male that can lift that weight has a higher BMI because of the muscle. I mean to say the large ones, made entirely out of excess fat, the meat ready to slide off their bones the way it slides off of Colonel Sander s chicken. By feeding these overweight people to the malnourished, we not only will solve world hunger, but this will solve overpopulation. People over the BMI of 30 + will be put to death, and for a reasonable, redeeming cause. Those who are 18 will receive the meat of the generous donors. Those in the healthy range will continue to eat the way they do, while being monitored by a doctor, of course, so we can watch their eligibility for being overweight. Those who are overweight put on a watch list. The lower the BMI on the overweight side, the less you are to be harassed by the government. If you re teeter tottering on the obese line, you are put in a hospital, so that as soon as you can be put to slaughter, it s done. These features, whether caves, lakes, deserts, outcroppings, or something else entirely, hold tremendous relevance for the groups that dwell near them. Such beliefs in the worth and importance of such sites are entrusted from one passing generation to the next. These beliefs, and the physical objects they rest upon, become increasingly vital to that group s identity as a people. One such group is the Teton Lakota of the Sioux Nation in South Dakota, an area that has been home to them for hundreds of years and, while their entire homeland is precious to them, of particular importance are the Black Hills, or Paha Sapa as they are called in Lakota. The Black Hills are an isolated mountain range rising 3000 to 4000 feet above the surrounding plains of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana (Sundstrom et al. 1996). The importance of this land to the Sioux Nation goes beyond dedication to the place they have lived in for generations. The Lakota creation story itself incorporates the Black Hills in particular as central to their identity as a people. The Black Hills are not only regarded as the birthplace of Sioux culture in religious songs and legends, but as the first place created on Earth literally the heart of the Earth, which is seen as Mother. • 20. Urbanisation Is An Integral Part Of The Economic Development Urbanisation is an integral part of the economic development. The global economic growth, poverty alleviation, environmental sustainability and quality of life are largely determined by the extent of urbanisation. In the past few decades urban areas in the world have experienced inadequate infrastructure, rising population and the social problems like poverty, growth of informal settlement and environmental problems accruing it. These problems in turn poses serious problems to sustainable development in the present and future. Moreover many cities in the world have become the hotspot of vulnerability due to climate change and variability and are susceptible to extreme and recurrent weather events. Most of the urban areas, in recent decades, have been facing extreme weather events and subsequent damages and loss of lives caused due these extreme events. Extreme event in its wake severely affect economic development and poverty alleviation and has the potential to drastically alter the development trajectory of the city and the areas surrounding it. In addition to physical, social and economic vulnerabilities in such cities is the low adaptive capacity with constraints on physical, financial and human resources. Evaluating Blood Pressure In A Veterinary Hospital After a patient presents to a veterinary hospital with an actual or potential cardiovascular condition, it is important that the treating technician knows and understand the different monitoring parameters they will need to evaluate. There are many different things a technician will need to evaluate. Some of these include the following: heart rate, respiration, ECG, and blood pressure. Blood pressure is one of the important monitoring tools that a technician has available to them to use when they are taking care of a cardiovascular patient. A technician needs understand what the different readings mean so they can respond appropriately. In addition, a technician needs to know the correct procedure for taking a reading and how and where to use the equipment. Hypertension is one potential complication from cardiovascular disease. Hypertension is when a patient s blood pressure increases above the normal range. This condition can be caused by the heart disease or it can be the condition that is causing the actual heart disease, for this reason it is important to treat hypertension in any patient that presents with cardiovascular problems. Some of the underlying conditions that can cause hypertension include the following: renal disease, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If an incorrect size cuff is chosen it can give improper readings and provide false information about the patient. To monitor a patient s blood pressure the correct technique is important. The way blood pressure is monitored, is to place a cuff around a limb where the animal has a pulse. The technician will then inflate the cuff and determine the blood pressure of the animal. A normal blood pressure reading for a dog has a systolic range of 131 154. For dogs, the goal of treating hypertension is to reduce the animal s blood pressure to an acceptable range. The normal goal is to reduce the systolic blood pressure to below ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Great swirl aka The Meeting A saying, that has become my motto, I think represent my general perspective: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst . That is what I did before the first meeting. I was not prepared though for how similar and compatible the two of us would be. The meeting of our two art styles was exceptional. To give a bit more background on that: during and after high school I had several jobs, by far my favorite was the two and a half years I spent creating online content, which involved a combination between writing, storytelling, ambient music and audio/video streaming. Danny is made out of the same clay as I am, he has skills within the realm of painting, music, woodworks and even photography. Our style are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We both had a hand in setting the foundation of this house, then we both went off and built the particular bits we were best suited for. This collaboration process did not come naturally, usually there is this instinct to reign in the project into your direction, similar to what I heard from a lot of my colleagues that their view differed from that of their artist and they never really collaborated. Each fighting the other for artistic control. It is not for me to say if their collaborations failed or succeeded, what I do know is that myself and Danny both talked about this and reached the conclusion that the only way this would work is if we did it together and set a common goal, rather than each having different ones. We drew the plan of the house together and started to work on it only after we had both agreed on how each room should be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She starts her day by speaking to her publicity team on some new marketing strategies. Lisa then spends time on the phone talking with all of the editors she represents. At a lunch meeting Lisa talks to the executive board on a couple of manuscripts she has been championing. Would one think that Lisa is a public speaker? Most people would say no, but after reading Stephen Lucas the Art of Public Speaking, I have learned that Lisa is a public speaker and is using her public speaking skills to inform her coworkers. Chapter 15 is about speaking to inform an audience. Lucas begins this chapter with the types of informative speeches and some analysis and organization skills for each topic. There are many ways to classify an informative speech, Lucas breaks it down into four main topics: objects, processes, events, and concepts. Lucas begins this chapter by speaking on speeches about objects. Lucas defines an object as Objects include anything that is visible, tangible, and stable to form. ... Here are examples of subjects for speeches about objects e book readers, Susan B. Anthony, service dogs, titanium, human eye and Golden Gate Bridge (Lucas, 2012, pg. 278.). • 25. A Study On The And Properties Of Aluminium Alloys CHAPTER 3 LITERATURE REVIEW 3.1 Introduction The Al Zn Mg series aluminium alloys (7xxx) are the heat treatable alloys and widely applied as large structural components in navigation and transportation facilities, due to good combination of hardness, high strength and fracture toughness [1 6]. The use of Sc (scandium) to achieve grain refinement has recently received great attention. The microstructures and properties of aluminium alloys are strongly affected by adding small quantities of scandium. Scandium additions in excess of 0.55wt.% (i.e., hypereutectic) are very effective in grain refinement, suggesting that the primary ScAl3 phase serves as an effective grain nucleant [7 9]. The effect of a Sc addition will of course depend on the composition of the alloy. The additions of Sc in aluminium alloy appear to reduce hot tearing and shrinkage porosity. Hot shortness increase with increase in Zn but decrease with increase in Mg content [10, 11]. The process of precipitation in the Al Zn Mg alloy system is quite complex. The aged structure and the kinetics of ageing depend on both the Zn and Mg concentration and the temperatures of solution and ageing treatments. As the Sc contents increases within the specified solubility in the solid solution, the grains virtually do not disintegrate. The maximum solubility of scandium increases from 0.35 to 0.6 wt.% [12, 13]. When the amount of scandium exceeds the eutectic content and, consequently, there appear primary particles of ... Examples Of Sexism In The Princess And The Frog I chose to analyze the movie The Princess and the Frog since I knew how sexist Disney princess movies in the past, such as Cinderella and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, have been, but also the interesting twists that try to hide sexism in the more modern tales. InterActiveCorp, eHarmony s largest competitor is a global conglomerate this creates a majority of the competition within the industry. • 30. Egalitarianism In Buddhism Buddhism is a unique religious tradition in its involvement of women in monastic positions. Buddhist texts mention the importance of utilizing the skills of its female adherents, encouraging women in aspirations of enlightenment as men have been wont to do since the religion s founding. This monastic path, however, has proven more challenging, is subjected to segregative stricture, and has afforded less egalitarianism for nuns than monks, further confounded by contradictory teachings and attitudes toward female monastics. Buddha is shown through numerous Buddhist texts to value others, despite their perceived status. Buddha himself was of noble birth, and in following his path to attain understanding and enlightenment, he was acquainted with both privilege and deprivation. Tribocorrosion phenomena are encountered in many technological areas where they cause damage to installations, machines, and devices. Often tribocorrosion damage is a problem for safety or for human health. In other applications tribocorrosion phenomena are put to good use in manufacturing. The chemo mechanical mechanisms of tribocorrosion are still incompletely understood, they involve the properties of contacting material surfaces, the mechanics of the contact and the corrosion conditions (D Landolt, 2006). The tribocorrosion example clearly illustrates how climate could directly affect the electronics industry. Topographic considerations are also directly linked to this industry.
