Western Europe account for nearly 80% (Geographical, 2005; Reusable Bags, 2005). Cheeseman
(2007) states that approximately 380 billion plastic shopping bags are used in the United States
annually ; in turn, only 0.6% of this is recycled.
Almost 96% of plastic bags are disposed of in landfills (Williamson, 2003). This leads up to another
problem as plastic bags are non biodegradable in other words, plastic bags do not biodegrade for over
a thousand years (Stevens 2001). Plastic bags may also land in farms and in oceans which have an
impact on the wildlife. Livestock such as cows may eat plastic bags while grazing. These pose a threat
if ingested as they may tangle in their stomachs, causing serious injuries and potentially death (Dreyer
et al, 1999; Rasmussen 1999). Each year over a billion birds and mammals die due to the ingestion of
plastic bags (Baker, 2002).

Pool Pockets For this problem we have a modified pool table that only has four pockets, one in each
corner. The ball leaves the bottom left corner at a forty five degree angle and rebounds off the wall at a
forty five degree angle until it lands in a pocket (corner). We have to collect data containing the
dimensions of the table we used, the number of rebounds it took for the ball to land in a pocket, and
which pocket it will land in. We will use this data to find patterns and attempt to find a way to predict

Three main dynasties that affected Chinese heritage, culture, economy and society were the Sui, Tang
and Song dynasties. Each of these dynasties were significant into further building and creating China.
Two out of three succeeded. Sui Dynasty was the second shortest dynasty, lasted only 38 years. The
Tang Dynasty lasted almost 300 years and helped continue to improve China based on the results of

The Mensheviks and Socialist Revolutionaries had great political power, starting from the Petrograd
Soviet and reaching out to control in the soviets established in the other Russian cities.
The Great War also made a large problem for the Provisional Government, especially after it
mistakenly decided that it would be best to continue fighting in the war. While at first succeeding in a
campaign against Austria, continued failures afterwards led soldiers and sailors to mutiny. The failed
campaigns demoralized the nation and unwittingly increased support for the anti war Bolsheviks. By
attempting to send some units of the Petrograd garrison to the front, the government made situations
