Physics Of The Jsx 3222 Analyzer
The JSX 3222 analyzer is an energy dispersive fluorescent X ray spectrometer developed to analyze
cadmium (Cd) included in plastic and the electric wire film material, etc. promptly. The elements
range that can be measured is from sodium (Na) to uranium (U). Liquid nitrogen cooling for the
high performance detector is needed only during the analyzing time. The vacuum and atmosphere
are switched to the measurement atmosphere by the one button operation. When X rays (primary X
rays) are illuminated from the X raytube to the specimen, fluorescence X rays having wavelengths
(energies) peculiar to the constituent elements of the specimen are produced from the elements.
There are two methods to investigate the energies. The first method is Qualitative analysis which
can be made by investigating the wavelengths of the fluorescence X rays and the other method is
quantitative analysis by investigating the X ray dose. One is for optical separation to them and the
other is to use the energy separation characteristic of the X ray detector. The former is called the
wavelength dispersive method an: the latter the energy dispersive method. The element analyzer
employs the latter method. As seen from the figure, since the energy dispersive X ray spectrometer
has no moving parts uses a simple optical system, its structure is simple and compact. And since
the detector can be installed the specimen, the X ray solid angle of collection can be made large,
thus presenting many features such as

Paul Olsen Case Essay
The Paul Olsen case describes the situation for a decision that Paul Olsen needs to make. Paul
and Robert Rose devised a plan to open a piano bar in a new urban mall development in Pittsburg,
PA. If successful, Paul and Robert would add a restaurant and cafГ© at the same location to grow
their business. With three and a half months before opening, Paul did not have enough investors to
fund the startup costs, so he needs to decide whether to invest all of his student loan money
($12,500) to maintain the timetable for the opening.
Similar to the R amp;R case, the Paul Olsen case is about identifying risks and developing
strategies to manage that risk. By controlling risk, Paul is able to minimize his exposure to
potential losses if the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the restaurant industry is perceived to have high risk of failure, the risk of a
restaurant failing is not too different from other small businesses. Parsa et al. quantified the risk
of failure at 26% in the first year and 57% by year 3. He also described several factors that can
influence the risk of failure. Those include physical location, firm size, speed of growth,
differentiation from other restaurants in the market, adapting to external trends, and management
experience. In terms of location and differentiation, Paul s bar will be located in a new
development designed to attract affluent customers and with very few competitors. Paul s small
firm size increases risk because of barriers to attract partners (i.e. suppliers and bankers are
prejudiced against smaller firms) and growth that may be too rapid to manage. On the other hand,
Robert already has experience in the restaurant business and should know how to run the bar and
subsequent restaurant. Their choice of a piano bar may be in response to local trends that favor
success.
A final question is whether Paul should apply his student loan money to the startup costs. Since his
living expenses and tuition are already paid by the Ford Foundation grant, the loan money is not
immediately needed. The contract in exhibit 3 shows that his services towards opening the bar are
valued at $17,500 in addition to the cash contribution. Therefore, his percentage claim towards any
profits from

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Memorial, is a
monument in Berlin to commemorate the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. The Memorial for the
Murdered Jews of Europe causes us to reflect on how the transgressive gesture of architecture puts
the issue of balance between the medium and the message into question. The memorial could have
been viewed as a way to threaten the importance of remembrance. According to Elke Grenzer,
Architecture itself in a commemorative gesture because it wants to commemorate its action in its
present as something that might not be lost in the future. An abundance of political drama about the
memorial almost caused the world to forget the significance of the structure. After the Berlin Wall
came down, Germanyhad to find their own self identity while memorializing the Jews, which led to
a debate on how to successfully move on as a nation. The monument appears to be the preserver
of Holocaust memory, however it is the people of Germany and what they created after visiting
the memorial that safeguards the Holocaust memory. The Memorial for the Murdered Jews of
Europe avoids giving a full description of Germany s role in the Final Solution. As noted in the
article, The Topographies of Memory in Berlin: The Neue Wache and the Memorial for the
Murdered Jews of Europe, Elke Grenzer pointed out that Germany was responsible for creating a
memorial that not only included Germany or Berlin s Jewry, but also the

Science Fiction Disaster Thriller Film, Directed By...
Armageddon is a 1998 American science fiction disaster thriller film, directed by Michael Bay,
produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The film follows a group of professional deep core drillers who
are sent by NASA to eliminate an enormous asteroid before it collides with earth and threatens
human existence. Early in the film, it presented a series of events, beginning with a massive meteor
shower that ultimately destroys the orbiting space shuttle Atlantis. Later NASA reveals the sad
news that planet earth will make contact with this asteroid in eighteen days to the point it will
cause an extinction event and even destroy the smallest particles including bacteria. This calls for
extremes measures to prevent such collision and save the human race. Armageddon (1998) is a
great example of how films can help viewers understand the world of work and of organization
function. Armageddon (1998) covered different I/O related constructs for example personnel
selection, teams, leadership, individual differences, and performance. In this paper, I will evaluate,
analyze and present my own personal opinion over how Armageddon (1998) presented I/O
constructs effectively. The first I/O related construct that the film analyzed was the importance of
individual differences. The film demonstrated the dissimilarities among the characters on set and
their role that they had to portray, personality, interest, physical ability and cognitive ability affect

Owls Vs Risers
The Merriam Webster defines sleep as the natural periodic suspension of consciousness during
which the powers of the body are restored. Although many people don t recognize the value of
sleep, it is a very essential part of life. There are many differences between a night owl and an
early riser. Research proves that there are many benefits as well as negative results to both
sleeping habits. Unfortunately, night owls are more likely to develop diabetes and other health
issues like reduced muscles mass. In contrast, early risers are destined to live a long healthy life.
It is also proven to help sustain a healthier diet when you wake up early. On the other hand night
owls crave more food, and tend to binge eat. The body realizes its

Differences In The Movie Fahrenheit 451
There are many differences between Fahrenheit 451 movie directed by François Truffaut and
the book by Ray Bradbury. In the movie, the sound effects and music add suspense and curiosity
such as when the fire truck is moving there is a suspenseful music that makes the viewer wonder
where the fire truck is heading. Guy Montag stayed mostly the same, with a few minor
differences. The general idea that Firemen set fires to books stayed the same too. Some
noticeable differences are the changes that occurred to Clarisse. The major character differences
take place with Clarisse, as well as partially Guy Montag. To start, Clarisse and Mrs. Montag are
portrayed by the same actress, confusing the viewer unaware of which character the actress was
portraying.

The First Airborne Jamming Test
These developments in radar prompted experiments to find whether or not ITS transmission could
be denied or defeated. The first airborne jamming test took place in London and involved a
continuous wave transmitter. Following this test, anti jamming systems were attached to the
direction finding systems which then evolved into the Chain Home radar system along the eastern
coast of the U.K. These anti jamming systems were the first examples of electronic counter counter
measures which is now a sub category of electronic warfare called electronic protection. (price 9

the United States Navy possessed radar, high frequency direction finding systems and anti jamming
devices.
Throughout the year of 1940, the Germans and the British conducted a series of back and forth
electronic attacks and counterattacks AFFECTING the German s ability to bomb Britain during the
night with low visibility. The German s employed various radio technologies to acquire night
bombing capabilities where they could intersect two transmitted radio waves that followed the
correct flight path in order to ensure the German pilots could maintain a continuous course. The
German s even used the British s own Chain Home defense as reference points during this
evolution. The UK would continually modify their systems and employ electronic warfare tactics to
jam the German s beams.

Essay about Cinema and Religion
Cinema and Religion
Entertainment media are contributing to the emergence of new and novel forms of spiritual and
religious phenomena in our contemporary (and past) culture. The essays in this issue explore
diverse facets of the morphing relationship between entertainment, spirituality and culture. Over the
last century, the cinema has played a vital role in the expression and representation of Judeo
Christian religious practices and beliefs. Early cinema told the life of Christ in the Passion Play
and Cecil B DeMille produced two spectacular versions of The Ten Commandments in 1923 and
1956. While cinema represented religious themes and figures, religious institutions also shaped the
emergence of this moving image technology and its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In our Post Millennial era the Heavens are the home for satellites rather than angels and the New
Age emphasis upon the paranormal and extraterrestrial as alternative avenues for spiritual
expression and self transformation melds with the prevalent sense of an impending apocalypse that
was reactivated by the spectacular disappearance of the Twin Towers on our television screens on 9
11, 2001. Where once God may have been a singular entity that designed the world in seven days,
the multi dimensional relationship between new and existing media technologies now activates
multiple worlds and multiple entities. The God/s of the Multi verse take many and multifarious
forms from Elvis to Lara Croft and the signs of the Heaven or Hell emerge in the shopping mall,
the television screen, the web site and the comic book panel. Our media heroes are worshipped and
our creations come to life.
The task of media research and theory is to articulate how these Post Millennial forms of
religiosity how the uncanny spaces and the gods in the multiverse are shaped by the media. How
are these spaces of dread or icons of worship articulated? This issue provides a collection of original
research and writing on entertainment forms past and present. It presents an interdisciplinary focus
by collating material from historians, theorists, philosophers and practitioners involved in the study
and teaching of art, cinema, literature and new media. However, the advantage of Gods in the

The Philosophy of the American Settlers Westward...
The people of the United States who were settling westward in the early nineteenth century
viewed the Native Americans as a threat to westward expansion, and therefore pressured their
leaders to set up policies that would remove Indians. Due to the long history various conflicts
between Indians and Americans, the American settlers were apprehensive toward the Indians,
leading to the perceived need of the removal of the Indians for their safety. Andrew Jackson s
negative attitude toward of the Indians also aroused public sentiment against them. Jackson s
position as a leader gave him more influence on the people, who knew of the battles he had won
against the Indians during his time as an Indian fighter. The early 1800s was a period of
westward expansion. The Great Migration was a time when moved thousands of Americans
moved west, curious about unexplored western lands and wanting to acquire it. The appeal of the
West grew, and settlers migrated. The ideals of the Manifest Destiny also had surfaced, that it was
pre ordained that the U.S. expand its borders to the Pacific Ocean. The American people did not
like any Indian presence to impede their acquisition of lands westward and growth as a nation,
despite trading with them frequently (Brinkley). The Manifest Destiny was, as stated in Cheryl D.

Dead Sea Scrolls
Historians and archeologist throughout time all have one goal. They want to explore and
discover the human truth of the distant past. In November 1946, they did just that. A collection
of 981 different texts were discovered in caves called the Dead Sea Scrolls. These texts reveal
the oldest written documents and stories of religious and historical events of our human nature.
So what really are the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Dead Sea Scrolls are historical texts that have been

The Seven Miracles of Christ
Introduction
Throughout the New Testament are recounts of the miracles that Jesus performed to give proof
that He was indeed the Son of God and the Messiah foretold of in the Old Testament. John chose to
recount only seven of the many miracles that Jesus performed. He felt that these seven, more than
any of the others, showed definitive proof that the Messiah, the Son of God, had come as promised.
The First Miracle John 2:1 11
The first of the seven miracles that John recounts is the turning of water into wine. John notes that
this miracle marks the beginning of Jesus signs to His disciples and the world. Jesus and his mother
are invited to a wedding during which the hosts run out of wine. When the servants come to Mary

Jesus was sitting on top of a mountain with His disciples when he saw a large number of
followers approaching them. He asked Philip about where they would be able to purchase food
for all those people. Jesus already knew what He was going to do and was testing Philip s faith.
When one of His disciples, Andrew, told him that they only had five loaves of bread and two
fish, He gave thanks for the food and told the disciples to eat. Once they were done, He told the
disciples to gather up what was left so that none of the food would be lost. When they had
gathered up all of the food they had filled twelve baskets. Jesus showed his disciples that when
they are unable to accomplish a task that they can turn to and depend upon Him. This message
drove home something that I have struggled with for a long time. When we find ourselves in a
position where we just can t seem to get things right or make things happen the way we think they
should, we need to turn to and depend upon God to guide us and give us the tools we need to
accomplish the goals and tasks He has planned for us.
The Fifth Miracle John 6:15 21 After Jesus miracle at the mountain feeding the masses, He went
further up the mountain to pray realizing that the masses were about to try to take Him by force to
make Him their king. When evening came, the disciples left on a boat without Jesus to go back to

Patrick Henry
Patrick Henry was an interesting man. From raising every single one of
his seventeen kids to this famous speech that he gave, Give me liberty, or give me
death!, he proved himself to be a loyal and trustworthy citizen. He also played a
pretty big role in the war for Independence. His early life, reasons to join the war,
role in the war, and his life after the war, all show what an amazing and important
man he truly was.
Patrick Henry lived a pretty normal life in his youth and here are a few
examples to what actually happened in his early life. According to

As governor, Henry helped the revolution in numerous ways. He
helped supply soldiers and equipment for George Washington. He also sent Virginia
troops commanded by George Rogers Clark to drive out British forces in the
northwest. After three terms as governor, Henry left the post in 1779.
Patrick Henry did just so happen to survive the war. For instance,
Biography.com Editors write that in 1790, he left public service and returned to being
a lawyer. He lived with his second wife,Dorothea, and every one of his seventeen
kids. The first six kids he had came from his first marriage with a woman named,
Sarah Shelton, while the rest came from his second marriage with Dorothea. Henry
spent his last years at his estate, called RedHill, in Charlotte County, Virginia. At the
urging of his friend, George Washington,Henry fought for a seat in the Virginia
legislature. He won the post, but he didn t live long enough to serve. He died on June
6, 1799, at his Red Hill home.
Even though Patrick Henry had a pretty ordinary childhood it eventually led up
to his importance during the Revolutionary War. All of these things, his early life, his

The Concept Of Sustainable Development
The concept of sustainable development has been at the centre of many big debates of late
including world conferences on development and developmental planners. It is gaining impetus as
people get more informed on the current effects of climate change and the looming devastating
effects of the same on future generations increasing the unpredictability of the future. At the core of
sustainable developmentis the fragile condition of balancing between protection as well as
maintenance of the productivity of the environment and the quest for economic growth. This is a
fundamental function of environmental politics. The concept of sustainable development makes us
believe that it is possible to realize economic prosperity and protect the environment at the same
time (Carter, 2007).
Although tradeoff may be made between ecological sustainability and fulfilment of basic human
needs (LГ©lГ©, 1991), this should not be an encouraged practice because human beings will
always give preference to their needs over environmental protection no matter how trivial they may
be. The ultimate remedy for sustainable development therefore lies with practical good governance
and political will locally, nationally and globally.
The origin and prominence of the concept sustainable development can be traced back to the 1980
IUCN s World Conservation Strategy(WCS) which aimed at achieving sustainable development
through conservation of living resources (LГ©lГ©, 1991). In his criticism of the world

George Bernard Shaw s Pygmalion
George Bernard Shaw lived in a time where there was a great divide between the upper and
lower classes of England. The rich were becoming increasingly wealthier, while the poor dug
deeper and deeper into debt. Similar to American society today, the upper class looked down
upon the lower class for their outward appearance (the way in which they spoke and dressed).
People such as antagonist Henry Higgins of Pygmalion, in fact, only focused on a person s
facade; they were completely ignorant to people s true identities. As a social activist during the
early 1900s, Shaw chose to introduce the incorrect judgment placed upon working class citizens
to his wealthier audiences within his play Pygmalion. Henry Higgins finds poor flower girl Eliza
and determines her a lost soul, deciding immediately he could better her as a person through
phonetics and etiquette classes. What is unclear to Higgins, however, is that Eliza s character is
already built. In Higgins opinion, her accent and outfit of choice are undeniably inadequate. What
he fails to recognize, though, is Eliza s heart and intelligence her true identity. He makes it his
duty to play God, transforming Eliza into what he deems a respectable lady, but pays no mind to
her inner self. Shaw uses Eliza s outer transformation and her static identity throughout the play to
reveal to his wealthier audiences that appearance and identity are not directly correlated. As the
play begins, the audience is introduced to a poor flower girl.

Comparing A Streetcar Named Desire And A View From The Bridge
The plays A Streetcar Named Desire and A View from the Bridge are both plays that focus on

techniques in order to get the message or point of view across to the audience members.

The Importance Of Ideas In The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the 1920 s, explores the significance of ideals
and how working to achieve them can structure one s life. The Novel centers around an egocentric,
rich and materialistic group of characters who all share a common value of wealth. However, the
character Jay Gatsby, values love more than he values money. Gatsby believes that being with the
women he loves, Daisy, the wife of the wealthy Tom Buchanan will make him feel as though he
has fulfilled his life. Gatsby s childhood and past have allowed him to realize what he wants most
in life, and how he is willing to go to extreme measures to achieve his goals. He dedicates his life
to renewing his love with Daisy. The immense effort that he puts into achieving his ideal doesn t
allow him to see some of the lousy qualities that daisy possesses. Fitzgerald uses Jay Gatsby to
demonstrate how personal experiences can create an ideal, and how pursuing that ideal can shape
one s character and structure an individual s life.
Gatsby s childhood experiences have taught him how important it is to achieve his goals. His
experiences created a hard working, work ethic and made him realize that he s willing to sacrifice
almost anything when pursuing his ideals. Jimmy Gatz, Jay Gatsby s original name symbolizes his
past. Essentially, Jimmy Gatz is poor, and Jay Gatsby is wealthy. As Nick tells us, He had changed

The Influence Of The American Soldiers During World War II
Who would have ever thought a small amount of rice with raw fish on top of it would become so
popular across the world? Sushi s fame jumped an ocean across and became popular in the USA.
Many factors contributed to its popularization and has helped make its place in the American
cuisine. As time passed by, the simple creations of sushievolved to complicated combinations and
eye catching presentations today. This change was welcomed because it gave a new perspective of
the dish, giving it a new face.
One of the factors that made sushi popular was the influence of the American soldiers. After
World War II (WWII), American soldiers who were led by General Douglas MacArthur
occupied Japan. During the war, sushi shops were forced to close due to rationing. There were
not enough rice to reopen the shops after the war. The American forces created a program where
people would be the ones to bring their own rice to the shop if they wanted sushi. The sushi chef
would then use the rice brought by the customers to make sushi for them. This allowed for the
shops to reopen and function. This popularized sushi outside of Tokyo (sushi was mainly sold in
the city). One can say, sushi was saved by the American forces. If the American forces had not
stepped in and created the program to help revive the sushi shops, no doubt would there be sushi
shops open today. Sushi would not have had the chance to spread outside of Tokyo.
Another factor is The Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. This was a

The Safety Of Carrying A Concealed Weapon
Protect Our Children
Too many young adults these days have access to a firearm. Wanting to feel safe no matter the
situation is natural. With how cheap you can purchase a firearm for now a days; too many people
are carrying them. It s almost impossible to keep those that shouldn t have a gun away from them.
Young adults should not have the right to conceal carry their firearm on campus because they are
not mature enough to handle the responsibility that comes with carrying.
The debate of carrying a concealed weapon has been a headline in the news for the past few
years now. So many young adults are getting their concealed carry permit now a days. The steps
in purchasing a firearm are very simple and easy. All one has to do is pay $8 to their local NC
Sheriffs department and after a quick background check, they will be granted a purchase permit.
With the purchase permit all they have to do is go into their local gun store and they can purchase
a handgun, shotgun, or even a semi automatic assault rifle. This makes is to easy for young kids to
get their hands on a weapon.
To carry a concealed weapon in NC, all one has to do is pay for a CCW class and spend eight
hours in the class room. The instructor will then issue you a completion certificate; pay $80 to the
Sheriffs Department and they will approve one for the concealed carry permit. This will now allow
anyone to carry their weapon anywhere they want. With few restrictions such as, government

Being An Elementary Education Major The National Education
Being an Elementary Education Major the National Education Association or the NEA seemed to

When I finish my studies at the University of Alabama I plan to stay in the state of Alabama and

In 1857, a total of forty three educators met in the state of Philadelphia. They came together to
answer a national call to unite and talk about the cause of education in the United States. During

Lawsuits for sexual harassment, physical abuse, and racial discrimination have grown steadily in
the last few decades and can threaten a teacher s job and reputation. Another benefit is defense

that the NEA is their best hope for obtaining higher salaries and a voice in the administration of

closed shop to exist, where all teachers must pay some level of union dues. Few teachers join
because they wholeheartedly believe in the political and social agenda of the NEA. The union is
often far left of its membership on many issues. One thing that can be agreed on by everyone is
that the NEA is very large, very wealthy, and very powerful. Recently surpassing the Teamsters in
size, the NEA has over 2 million members, making it the largest union in America. Past Secretary of
Education Lamar Alexander once said that, After the post office, schools are the most unionized

The uniqueness of the National Education Association is found in the fact that it is a near
monopoly supplier of teachers to a government enforced monopoly consumer, the public schools.

A Comparison Of The Film Mulholland Dr.
Sunset Boulevard was one of the first films to cover the gray area between glory and the fall of a
celebrity, but not the only one. Borrowing many plot points from this film, a lesser known 2001
neo noir movie Mulholland Dr. tells the story of a young starlet named Diane (or Betty, in Diane
s dream) who orders the killing of her girlfriend Camilla (or Rita), who got the role Diane
auditioned for. After a series of dreams and illusions, crushed by the weight of truth and guilt,
Diane takes her own life in her apartment. There are many similarities shared between the two
films as both Norma and Diane suffer from mental health conditions and could not wake up from
the illusion induced by the mental disorder (Diane committed suicide as soon as she came back to
reality). Their fantasies about themselves and the film industry were not an imagined scenario that
represents the realization of their impossible desires, since their wish to enter (or re enter) the
industry was not totally impossible; but rather, the fantasy allows them to desire.6 Norma s fantasy
of still being wanted by the industry leads to her going to Cecil B. DeMilles studio in real life,
wanting to work with him again to produce her film SalomГ©. A better illustration of this idea is
Diane s fantasy with her failed audition, in which she found closure. In her dream, a Cowboy
talked to the director of the film she was auditioning for, telling him that the rest of the cast can
stay, that s up to you. But the

AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF
FOREIGN...
ABSTRACT
This study attempted to estimate the environmental impact of Foreign Direct Investment in the
mining sector in Nigeria. It is argued that only those countries that have reached a certain income
level can absorb new technologies and benefit from technology diffusion, and thus reap the extra
advantages that FDI can offer. The mining industry in Nigeria is dominated by oil. Indeed, Nigeria
is the largest producer of this commodity in Africa and sixth largest producers in the world. This
research study makes use of secondary data. The variables used are the Foreign Direct Investment
(FDI), gross domestic product (GDP), output of mining industry and per capital flight (KF). This
study covers a period of 31 years that spans between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
FDI within mining sector can therefore have significant impacts, positive, as well as negative.
Positive impacts can include increased employment, better health care, improved infrastructure and
schooling. On the negative side there may be disruption of traditional cultures, environmental
degradation, basic commodity price increases, population displacement, land use conflicts and loss
of livelihood (Danielson and Lagos, 2001).
This is particularly true for the environment. Preliminary evidence suggests that under appropriate
framework conditions, foreign investments in mining frequently have higher environmental
performance compared to domestic operations, due to new technologies and practices they bring
with them. On the other hand, when these framework conditions, such as effective environmental
regulation and transparent public governance, are not in place, there is a risk that serious
environmental and social damage can occur.
The mining industry has in recent years turned its attention to the environmental impacts of its
activities, and in particular is addressing the issue through the Global Mining Initiative
(www.globalmining.com) and the Mining, Minerals and Sustainable Development Project (MMSD)
which is addressing the issue of the contribution of the mining sector to sustainable development

Case Study Of Krispy Kreme And Dunkin Donuts
It is an essential to have clear understanding of an organization s purposes to understand how
organization works and its method of working can be improved. Usually, general objectives lead to
clarification of purposes and responsibilities at all level of organizations. Management is the
process of communicating, coordinating and accomplishing action in the pursuit of organization
objectives while managing relationship with stakeholders, technologies and other artifacts, both
within as well as between organizations. (Kinicki, 2012)
Here, I would have used Fayol s Principle as the management approaches. According to Robert
Kreitner (2012), Fayol recognized there was no limit to the principles of management. And, Fayol s
work was one of the primary comprehensive statements of a general management theory. He
proposed that there were six primary functions of management and fourteen principles of
management. Based on his point of view, a manager must attain proper feedback process in order to
make necessary adjustments and must analyze the deviations. There are four management
functions; to forecast and plan, to organize, to command or leading, and to coordinate. As

Challenges Facing Law Enforcement Agencies Essay
In this writing assignment I will explain some greatest challenge facing law enforcement agencies
today. I will describe how the local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies can interact and
accomplish their goals. I will also suggest some programs that will help improve their relationship.
Identify some of the challenges and solution in the overlapping of jurisdictions pose when
combating cybercrime. Discuss why I believe law enforcement in different states should work with

There are a number of challenges that law enforcement agencies are facing like investigating
internet exploitation, cyber stalking, and obscenity. Other challenges are overlapping of agencies,
the lack of funding, and investigating exploitation, cyber stalking, obscenity, and the specific
challenges with overlapping of jurisdictions. I think the greatest challenge they face has been
investigating exploitation, cyber stalking, and obscenity is issues with evidence and detection. The
fact that data on the computer can be deleted, modified, or destroyed can hinder the investigation
process. The nature of the evidence makes it difficult to investigate cybercrime. Because digital
evidence is a collection of numbers that are fragile and can be lost, damaged or changed. It is

Schweitzer Vs Paul Taylor
Environmentalists Albert Schweitzer and Paul Taylor have two different positions on what
should have rights and what shouldn t. But as much as their positions are different, they share
some similarities as well. In this essay I will compare and contrast their positions, ultimately
coming to a conclusion if they are on the same page when it comes to what deserves to have
rights. Lets begin by taking at look at what the basis for each position is. Albert Schweitzer s
position is the position of Reverence for Life. He believes that all life has a will to live, and all
life lives together with that need. Paul Taylor s position is based off of equal inherent worth and the
biotic community. Now that we are aware of the general basis of these environmentalists positions,

That credit being their rights. For Schweitzer, it is the understanding that all living things have
the goal of their will to live, and that is always what he directions his explanations back to. And
for Taylor it is about how some animals only possess the rights that they have because of the
community that they are a part of. Meaning that, snakes are only being protected in an area
because they are located in a natural park that is being protected. Therefore if you harm the snake
you are ultimately harming the park. As much as these environmentalists share the same goal of

Approximately four weeks ago, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history occurred not to far
from UCF. Patrons of Pulse nightclub, a gay nightclub in Orlando where massacred by Omar
Mateen, Mateen took the lives of forty nine individuals all because of their presence in a gay
establishment. This tragic incident wasn t the first attack on the LGBTcommunity, but it s massive
fatalities put Congress under even more pressure to reform gun laws, gayrights, and suspected
terrorist legislation. As a political Science major, I take a special interest in the reactions among
legislators after the Orlando incident and believe there should be more equal protection for gay
people under the law. The two articles I will be analyzing, After Orlando, a Political Divide on
Gay Rights Still Stands and Gay rights and wrongs: How the Orlando massacre affects the fight for
LGBT rights furthers the discourse among the divide in Congress over gay rights.
My first article, After Orlando, a Political Divide on Gay Rights still Stands, published in the
New York Times focuses on the separate discourse of Democrats and Republicans in Congress.
The writers show it s time for the argument to exist using logos stating, Gays have surpassed Jews

need to take place within the organization by reviewing the business plans, goals, missions and

The Importance Of Teaching In Education
Introduction
Education is about in parting knowledge based on one s belief, truth and justification with the
purpose of surviving in this changing world. Highly educated people are well recognized and given
high reputation in the society. Hence, teaching is a process of sharing information between the
teacher and students in a positive, caring, changing and stress free environment where new
knowledge must be constructed and tested through student teacher interaction using different
strategies so that children could master knowledge and skills of desired fields including values,
ethics, and other social knowledge. To fulfill this purpose, teachers should be active, forward
thinking, energetic, knowledgeable, sincere and punctual for changing one s truth, belief and
justification. To satisfy these educational needs, learningshould be a fun mechanism for students in
which they enjoy by responding, interacting, socializing, inventing, sharing, discovering and
deciding about knowledge, skills, values, ethics and discipline by expressing a permanent change
in behaviour. As learning is defined as a permanent change in behaviour, it is teacher s interest to
consider teaching as a personal challenge in which students are diverted to a more progressive
learning environment where they make their own judgment based on what they experience with
exposure to real life like activities. With this as teacher s interest in the field, it is a sensation for
them to focus on the whole child

Philonous now begins to explain how materialism can lead to skepticism. Philonous must now
explain that there is no reason to believe in mind independent reality. Philonous introduces the
argument from pleasure and pain as well as the argument of perceptual relativity. First, he makes
Hylas admit that we can only sense sensible things, and that sensible things are nothing but groups
of sensible qualities. Hylas hesitates, but Philonous reassures him. Philonous gives a cherry as an
example; a small, red, sweet cluster, which in actuality could be something other than this.
Philonous now introduces the idea of pain and pleasure. Philonous explains that pain is mind
dependant, meaning that pain cannot exist if nobody is feeling it. The same goes with pleasure.
Philonous then explains that this does not only apply to pain and pleasure, but to any sensible
quality. First, Philonous tries to relate heat with pain. He says that inanimate objects cannot feel
pain or pleasure; Matter is inanimate; Matter cannot feel pain nor pleasure; heat is a form of pain;
therefore matter is incapable of feeling heat; This means heat is mind

Themes In Edward Scissor Hands
The film, Edward Scissor Hands by Tim Burton is a modern day fairy tale, with more of a purpose
than solely providing entertainment. It is filled with rich, important themes and morals such as
Love, the importance of individuality and the deceiving nature of appearances. All being explored
by main protagonist, Edward.
In the film, Edward explores the theme of love in many different aspects of life. It was clear that
the day when Peg kindly brought home Edward to the conventional village, she also brought down
a deeper and more meaningful understanding of love. For all Edwards life, he had only known one
person, his creator, and even though he was not all human, the bond of family was something
that they had, and the most precious thing he lost when his creator never woke up . Therefore,
when he had nothing left but his own entertainment Edward turned to art instead, beautifully
caring for his garden around the dark and ghostly mansion. After he had been brought down to
the community, he developed a love for Peg s family who cared for him. He grew to have a
great love for Kim, who adored Edwards individuality and kind heart above Jim, urging him away
after he became sickly jealous of the couples love. Kim exclaiming, Jim I don t love you anymore
I just want you to go, just go! despite this Jim s jealousy resulted in his death. Edward found
happiness in the simplest of things, such as gardening, ice sculpting, cutting hair and the company

Leases Are A Contractual Agreement
Leases are a contractual agreement between a lessor: the individual leasing an asset, and a lessee:
the person whose intention is to use the asset. Currently, there are two types of leases: operating
and capital leases, and there are various rules implemented by the International Accounting
Standards Board (IASB) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), for evaluating leases
to determine if they are capitalized or not. A capital leaseis associated with the purchasing of a
capital asset, while an operating lease is associated with the use of an item that requires a fee. The
new accounting rules may have adverse effects on company s balance sheets, the income
statements, and cash flow statements. However, businesses with significant operating leases
commitments are usually the ones affected by the new accounting rules significantly.
When a lessee signs a lease agreement that is for more than a year, either the Type A and Type B
lease approach is taken to account for revenue, cash flows, and expenses correctly. Ultimately, both
categories entail different approaches for lease accounting. In additional, the Financial Accounting
Standards Board (FASB) new proposed lease standards may involve some effects on various
accounting events. These events include the presentation of a company s financial statements,
interest charges, year end reporting, financial disclosure notes, and income taxes. Leasing is an
important part activity for many firms in the business

The Wise Fools of Shakespeare
The Wise Fools of Shakespeare Infirmity that decays the wise doth ever make a better fool
though uttered by one of his own characters Shakespeare does not seem to conform to this ideal.
The fools carved by Shakespeare in his plays showed no resemblance to the mentally and
physically challenged people who were treated as pets and used for amusement during the
medieval period. Rather Shakespeare s fools appear to be in the best of their wits when they are in
possession of the wisest minds. Fools whether in their rustic vigour displaying grotesque humour or

However the most mesmerizing of Shakespeare s fools touches his pieces in the form of the
court jesters with their precise and caustic wit fabricated by their well bred minds. These fools it
is often presumed were sketched from the models of the contemporary court jesters particularly
influenced by Tarlton and Armin the royal fools who were not only popular to the audience but
also favorites of the Queen herself. One of the foremost reasons of introduction of these jesters
in his plays was to impart them with the role of social critics in the guise of their iridescent
costumes. The royal fools in spite of their acerbic tongue that blurted out many a comment
against royalty were forgiven for the obvious reasons of those statements being wrapped under
their fooleries. Thus the jesters in his plays acted as the representatives of Shakespeare, through
whom he can show a glimpse of the real face of the contemporary society to his audience. The
first professional fool who made his way into Shakespeare s plays is Touchstone in As you Like

With the high demand of medical professionals and increasing numbers of people with chronic

Comparing a Chartered Public Accountant and a Chartered...
Accountant
Career Demand The public accountant provides a range of accounting and auditing services to
everyone from individual taxpayers to businesses. Accountants can even become more specialized
and become auditors and government accountants. Accounting is typically a 9 5 weekday job, as
those are the hours that most businesses operate. Some overtime is typically required if there is an
audit or it is tax season. The primary roles of a public accountant can be divided into three distinct
jobs. The first job, and the most commonly accomplished, is known as performing external audits of
companies (Public Accountant Job Description). Under Sarbanes Oxley, United States businesses
must submit a full audit of their company s annual budget sheets along with many other financial
documents to an external accountant who reviews the documents and certifies that the reports are
accurate (Zhang, 2007). The second job that accountants have is offering tax services to the public
(Public Accountant Job Description). Often citizens prefer that an accountant complete their taxes
annually, especially if that person is self employed. The third job that accountants complete is
consult services. Often corporate and estate planning law firms willl hire accountants to assist in
creating ideal wealth management options for clients and ensure that those options are in agreement

As renowned author Ernest Hemingway said, There is no friend as loyal as a book . This can be
true at times, but in Ray Bradbury s novel Fahrenheit 451, many people in the novel s dystopian
society think otherwise. In this essay I ll be discussing the 5 books I d save from the firemen if I
was Guy Montag in Fahrenheit 451, and which of the 5 I d choose to remember and become . The
books I d save would be Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, Markus Zusak s The Book Thief,
Jandy Nelson s I ll Give You the Sun, the Bible s book of Genesis, and Dave Canterbury s
Bushcraft 101: A Field Guide to the Art of Wilderness Survival. Harper Lee s To Kill a
Mockingbird is an unforgettable novel of a child s life in a sleepy southern town and the... Show

The novel continues to open up people s minds and take us all back in time with its setting and
lessons. The third book I d choose to save from the firemen is Jandy Nelson s I ll Give You the
Sun. This novel revolves around fraternal twins Noah and Jude, who used to be basically
inseparable. Now that they re getting older, they begin to drift apart. The reasons I d save this
novel from the firemen are that it deals with very real things for teenagers and kids such as
puberty, sexuality, deaths in the family, and divorce. It teaches readers that you should never be
afraid of being who you truly are, that if things are tough right now then they will get better with
time, and that your family will almost always be there for you when you re going through
something. It focuses on the mannerisms of teenagers who are just being themselves, who are
only human, and are still trying to find themselves. I feel that this novel would help teens grow
and help find themselves and develop, just like Noah and Jude. The fourth book I d choose to
save from the firemen is the book of Genesis from the Bible. Genesis speaks of beginnings, of the
heavens and the earth, animals, humans, plants, family, society and civilizations, and of sin and
redemption. The list really goes on and on. The book of Genesis is foundational to the
understanding of the rest of the Bible. Its message is rich and complex, and listing its main
elements gives a succinct outline of the

Current Issues Regarding Premarital Cohabitation Essay
Current societal trends allow for more flexibility in establishing, building, and maintaining a
relationship with another individual. Decades ago it was not acceptable for a couple to have sex
or live together before they were married. Today, it is common for couples to reside together, even
before they are engaged. The rise of couples who cohabitate prior to marriagehas altered the way
our society perceives marriage and relationships and led to a reformulation of the dating process.
Prior to the 1960 s it was seen as untoward for couples to have live together if they were not
married. The Civil Rights Movement 1960 s and early 1970 s altered different aspects of society
and how women are viewed. Women were more socially... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
156).
Despite the steady increase in cohabitation across the last several decades, research on its impact
on marital outcome is mixed. Some research has suggested that people who cohabitate long term
and do not plan to marry have lower relationship quality and less stable relationships. However,
other research has indicated that these couples do not have lower quality relationships (Jose, O
Leary, Moyer, 2010, p. 105).
Couples who choose to cohabitate are comprised of varying demographic variables that may be a
factor in their decision to cohabitate. White women are more likely to cohabitate than black or
Hispanic women and white and black men are more likely to cohabitate than Hispanic men
(Casper Bianchi, 2001, p. 155). Premarital cohabitation is associated with marital disruption in
non Hispanic white women, but not non Hispanic black of Mexican women. However, little of
this disruption appears to be attributed to differences in cohabitation (Phillips Sweeney, 2005, p.
297). Black and white couples had equivalent in their expectations for marriage; however, black
couples were less likely to realize their expectations when cohabitating (Guzzo, 2009, p. 184).
Although cohabitation may be viewed as something that primarily occurs between young adults, a
high proportion of couples who cohabitate are in their mid thirties or older (Casper Bianchi, 2001,
p. 157).

The chief executive of British Airways announced in 2012 that the complicated process for
Chinese nationals was deterring them from visiting the UK and as a result, the British economy
was suffering with 149,000 Chinese nationals visiting the UK in 2012 compared to the 1.1
million that visited the Schengen area. The Chinese visa process was simplified in 3 ways. The
first, Chinese travel agents can now send the UK application as part of the Schengen visa
application instead of two separate forms, to reduce duplication as many people travelling from
china will not travel solely to the UK. The next, a 24 hour superior priority service and finally a
mobile visa service cutting the entire process time to less than 5 minutes. This has already made a
significant difference in the number of Chinese tourists arriving in the Uk with figures for the first
half of 2015 up 4% on the same period of the previous year. Although this example is based around
a relatively specific group of people, it demonstrates how the visa application process can heavily
effect tourist habits to a destination. Another common entry requirement in certain parts of the

  • 2. Physics Of The Jsx 3222 Analyzer The JSX 3222 analyzer is an energy dispersive fluorescent X ray spectrometer developed to analyze cadmium (Cd) included in plastic and the electric wire film material, etc. promptly. The elements range that can be measured is from sodium (Na) to uranium (U). Liquid nitrogen cooling for the high performance detector is needed only during the analyzing time. The vacuum and atmosphere are switched to the measurement atmosphere by the one button operation. When X rays (primary X rays) are illuminated from the X raytube to the specimen, fluorescence X rays having wavelengths (energies) peculiar to the constituent elements of the specimen are produced from the elements. There are two methods to investigate the energies. The first method is Qualitative analysis which can be made by investigating the wavelengths of the fluorescence X rays and the other method is quantitative analysis by investigating the X ray dose. One is for optical separation to them and the other is to use the energy separation characteristic of the X ray detector. The former is called the wavelength dispersive method an: the latter the energy dispersive method. The element analyzer employs the latter method. As seen from the figure, since the energy dispersive X ray spectrometer has no moving parts uses a simple optical system, its structure is simple and compact. And since the detector can be installed the specimen, the X ray solid angle of collection can be made large, thus presenting many features such as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Paul Olsen Case Essay The Paul Olsen case describes the situation for a decision that Paul Olsen needs to make. Paul and Robert Rose devised a plan to open a piano bar in a new urban mall development in Pittsburg, PA. If successful, Paul and Robert would add a restaurant and cafГ© at the same location to grow their business. With three and a half months before opening, Paul did not have enough investors to fund the startup costs, so he needs to decide whether to invest all of his student loan money ($12,500) to maintain the timetable for the opening. Similar to the R amp;R case, the Paul Olsen case is about identifying risks and developing strategies to manage that risk. By controlling risk, Paul is able to minimize his exposure to potential losses if the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the restaurant industry is perceived to have high risk of failure, the risk of a restaurant failing is not too different from other small businesses. Parsa et al. quantified the risk of failure at 26% in the first year and 57% by year 3. He also described several factors that can influence the risk of failure. Those include physical location, firm size, speed of growth, differentiation from other restaurants in the market, adapting to external trends, and management experience. In terms of location and differentiation, Paul s bar will be located in a new development designed to attract affluent customers and with very few competitors. Paul s small firm size increases risk because of barriers to attract partners (i.e. suppliers and bankers are prejudiced against smaller firms) and growth that may be too rapid to manage. On the other hand, Robert already has experience in the restaurant business and should know how to run the bar and subsequent restaurant. Their choice of a piano bar may be in response to local trends that favor success. A final question is whether Paul should apply his student loan money to the startup costs. Since his living expenses and tuition are already paid by the Ford Foundation grant, the loan money is not immediately needed. The contract in exhibit 3 shows that his services towards opening the bar are valued at $17,500 in addition to the cash contribution. Therefore, his percentage claim towards any profits from ... The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Memorial, is a monument in Berlin to commemorate the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. The Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe causes us to reflect on how the transgressive gesture of architecture puts the issue of balance between the medium and the message into question. The memorial could have been viewed as a way to threaten the importance of remembrance. According to Elke Grenzer, Architecture itself in a commemorative gesture because it wants to commemorate its action in its present as something that might not be lost in the future. An abundance of political drama about the memorial almost caused the world to forget the significance of the structure. After the Berlin Wall came down, Germanyhad to find their own self identity while memorializing the Jews, which led to a debate on how to successfully move on as a nation. The monument appears to be the preserver of Holocaust memory, however it is the people of Germany and what they created after visiting the memorial that safeguards the Holocaust memory. The Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe avoids giving a full description of Germany s role in the Final Solution. As noted in the article, The Topographies of Memory in Berlin: The Neue Wache and the Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe, Elke Grenzer pointed out that Germany was responsible for creating a memorial that not only included Germany or Berlin s Jewry, but also the ... • 17. The Concept Of Sustainable Development The concept of sustainable development has been at the centre of many big debates of late including world conferences on development and developmental planners. It is gaining impetus as people get more informed on the current effects of climate change and the looming devastating effects of the same on future generations increasing the unpredictability of the future. At the core of sustainable developmentis the fragile condition of balancing between protection as well as maintenance of the productivity of the environment and the quest for economic growth. This is a fundamental function of environmental politics. The concept of sustainable development makes us believe that it is possible to realize economic prosperity and protect the environment at the same time (Carter, 2007). Although tradeoff may be made between ecological sustainability and fulfilment of basic human needs (LГ©lГ©, 1991), this should not be an encouraged practice because human beings will always give preference to their needs over environmental protection no matter how trivial they may be. The ultimate remedy for sustainable development therefore lies with practical good governance and political will locally, nationally and globally. The origin and prominence of the concept sustainable development can be traced back to the 1980 IUCN s World Conservation Strategy(WCS) which aimed at achieving sustainable development through conservation of living resources (LГ©lГ©, 1991). • 19. George Bernard Shaw s Pygmalion George Bernard Shaw lived in a time where there was a great divide between the upper and lower classes of England. The rich were becoming increasingly wealthier, while the poor dug deeper and deeper into debt. Similar to American society today, the upper class looked down upon the lower class for their outward appearance (the way in which they spoke and dressed). People such as antagonist Henry Higgins of Pygmalion, in fact, only focused on a person s facade; they were completely ignorant to people s true identities. As a social activist during the early 1900s, Shaw chose to introduce the incorrect judgment placed upon working class citizens to his wealthier audiences within his play Pygmalion. Henry Higgins finds poor flower girl Eliza and determines her a lost soul, deciding immediately he could better her as a person through phonetics and etiquette classes. What is unclear to Higgins, however, is that Eliza s character is already built. In Higgins opinion, her accent and outfit of choice are undeniably inadequate. What he fails to recognize, though, is Eliza s heart and intelligence her true identity. He makes it his duty to play God, transforming Eliza into what he deems a respectable lady, but pays no mind to her inner self. Shaw uses Eliza s outer transformation and her static identity throughout the play to reveal to his wealthier audiences that appearance and identity are not directly correlated. As the play begins, the audience is introduced to a poor flower girl. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Novel centers around an egocentric, rich and materialistic group of characters who all share a common value of wealth. However, the character Jay Gatsby, values love more than he values money. Gatsby believes that being with the women he loves, Daisy, the wife of the wealthy Tom Buchanan will make him feel as though he has fulfilled his life. Gatsby s childhood and past have allowed him to realize what he wants most in life, and how he is willing to go to extreme measures to achieve his goals. He dedicates his life to renewing his love with Daisy. The immense effort that he puts into achieving his ideal doesn t allow him to see some of the lousy qualities that daisy possesses. Sushi s fame jumped an ocean across and became popular in the USA. Many factors contributed to its popularization and has helped make its place in the American cuisine. As time passed by, the simple creations of sushievolved to complicated combinations and eye catching presentations today. This change was welcomed because it gave a new perspective of the dish, giving it a new face. One of the factors that made sushi popular was the influence of the American soldiers. After World War II (WWII), American soldiers who were led by General Douglas MacArthur occupied Japan. During the war, sushi shops were forced to close due to rationing. There were not enough rice to reopen the shops after the war. The American forces created a program where people would be the ones to bring their own rice to the shop if they wanted sushi. The sushi chef would then use the rice brought by the customers to make sushi for them. This allowed for the shops to reopen and function. This popularized sushi outside of Tokyo (sushi was mainly sold in the city). One can say, sushi was saved by the American forces. If the American forces had not stepped in and created the program to help revive the sushi shops, no doubt would there be sushi shops open today. Sushi would not have had the chance to spread outside of Tokyo. Another factor is The Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. This was a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 26. A Comparison Of The Film Mulholland Dr. Sunset Boulevard was one of the first films to cover the gray area between glory and the fall of a celebrity, but not the only one. Borrowing many plot points from this film, a lesser known 2001 neo noir movie Mulholland Dr. tells the story of a young starlet named Diane (or Betty, in Diane s dream) who orders the killing of her girlfriend Camilla (or Rita), who got the role Diane auditioned for. After a series of dreams and illusions, crushed by the weight of truth and guilt, Diane takes her own life in her apartment. There are many similarities shared between the two films as both Norma and Diane suffer from mental health conditions and could not wake up from the illusion induced by the mental disorder (Diane committed suicide as soon as she came back to reality). Their fantasies about themselves and the film industry were not an imagined scenario that represents the realization of their impossible desires, since their wish to enter (or re enter) the industry was not totally impossible; but rather, the fantasy allows them to desire.6 Norma s fantasy of still being wanted by the industry leads to her going to Cecil B. DeMilles studio in real life, wanting to work with him again to produce her film SalomГ©. A better illustration of this idea is Diane s fantasy with her failed audition, in which she found closure. It is argued that only those countries that have reached a certain income level can absorb new technologies and benefit from technology diffusion, and thus reap the extra advantages that FDI can offer. The mining industry in Nigeria is dominated by oil. Indeed, Nigeria is the largest producer of this commodity in Africa and sixth largest producers in the world. Positive impacts can include increased employment, better health care, improved infrastructure and schooling. On the negative side there may be disruption of traditional cultures, environmental degradation, basic commodity price increases, population displacement, land use conflicts and loss of livelihood (Danielson and Lagos, 2001). This is particularly true for the environment. Preliminary evidence suggests that under appropriate framework conditions, foreign investments in mining frequently have higher environmental performance compared to domestic operations, due to new technologies and practices they bring with them. On the other hand, when these framework conditions, such as effective environmental regulation and transparent public governance, are not in place, there is a risk that serious environmental and social damage can occur. The mining industry has in recent years turned its attention to the environmental impacts of its activities, and in particular is addressing the issue through the Global Mining Initiative (www.globalmining.com) and the Mining, Minerals and Sustainable Development Project (MMSD) which is addressing the issue of the contribution of the mining sector to sustainable development ... Usually, general objectives lead to clarification of purposes and responsibilities at all level of organizations. Management is the process of communicating, coordinating and accomplishing action in the pursuit of organization objectives while managing relationship with stakeholders, technologies and other artifacts, both within as well as between organizations. This novel revolves around fraternal twins Noah and Jude, who used to be basically inseparable. Now that they re getting older, they begin to drift apart. The reasons I d save this novel from the firemen are that it deals with very real things for teenagers and kids such as puberty, sexuality, deaths in the family, and divorce. It teaches readers that you should never be afraid of being who you truly are, that if things are tough right now then they will get better with time, and that your family will almost always be there for you when you re going through something. It focuses on the mannerisms of teenagers who are just being themselves, who are only human, and are still trying to find themselves. I feel that this novel would help teens grow and help find themselves and develop, just like Noah and Jude. The fourth book I d choose to save from the firemen is the book of Genesis from the Bible. Genesis speaks of beginnings, of the heavens and the earth, animals, humans, plants, family, society and civilizations, and of sin and redemption. The list really goes on and on. The book of Genesis is foundational to the understanding of the rest of the Bible. Its message is rich and complex, and listing its main elements gives a succinct outline of the ... • 48. Current Issues Regarding Premarital Cohabitation Essay Current societal trends allow for more flexibility in establishing, building, and maintaining a relationship with another individual. Decades ago it was not acceptable for a couple to have sex or live together before they were married. Today, it is common for couples to reside together, even before they are engaged. The rise of couples who cohabitate prior to marriagehas altered the way our society perceives marriage and relationships and led to a reformulation of the dating process. Prior to the 1960 s it was seen as untoward for couples to have live together if they were not married. The Civil Rights Movement 1960 s and early 1970 s altered different aspects of society and how women are viewed. Women were more socially... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 156). Despite the steady increase in cohabitation across the last several decades, research on its impact on marital outcome is mixed. Some research has suggested that people who cohabitate long term and do not plan to marry have lower relationship quality and less stable relationships. However, other research has indicated that these couples do not have lower quality relationships (Jose, O Leary, Moyer, 2010, p. 105). Couples who choose to cohabitate are comprised of varying demographic variables that may be a factor in their decision to cohabitate. White women are more likely to cohabitate than black or Hispanic women and white and black men are more likely to cohabitate than Hispanic men (Casper Bianchi, 2001, p. 155). Premarital cohabitation is associated with marital disruption in non Hispanic white women, but not non Hispanic black of Mexican women. However, little of this disruption appears to be attributed to differences in cohabitation (Phillips Sweeney, 2005, p. 297). Black and white couples had equivalent in their expectations for marriage; however, black couples were less likely to realize their expectations when cohabitating (Guzzo, 2009, p. 184). Although cohabitation may be viewed as something that primarily occurs between young adults, a high proportion of couples who cohabitate are in their mid thirties or older (Casper Bianchi, 2001, p. 157). The Chinese visa process was simplified in 3 ways. The first, Chinese travel agents can now send the UK application as part of the Schengen visa application instead of two separate forms, to reduce duplication as many people travelling from china will not travel solely to the UK. The next, a 24 hour superior priority service and finally a mobile visa service cutting the entire process time to less than 5 minutes. This has already made a significant difference in the number of Chinese tourists arriving in the Uk with figures for the first half of 2015 up 4% on the same period of the previous year.
