This document provides the weekly golf awards and notes for the Lone Star Conference. Dylan McClure of Cameron University and Isabel Jimenez-Perea and Brenna Moore of Midwestern State University received Golfer of the Week honors for their performances. The notes section summarizes how each LSC school's golf teams performed in their recent tournaments, including individual and team results.

GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S
Dylan McClure, Cameron University, SR, Trophy Club, Texas, Northwest HS
McClure led the Aggies to a first place finish at the Midwestern State Invitational. He shot a 209 for the
tournament to give him a second place finish. His second round 66 was his lowest 18-hole score in his career
at Cameron. He also set career bests for his score through 36 holes and 54 holes, and tied for his best finish.
CO-WOMEN’S
Isabel Jimenez-Perea, Tarleton State University, JR, Cobena, Spain
Jimenez-Perea continued to be the top golfer for Tarleton State as she led the way for the TexAnns second place
finish at Oklahoma Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at Fort Sill Golf Club in Lawton, Okla. She finished day one
in a tie for second place with a score of 72. On day two, Jimenez-Perea would better her day one score by one
stroke (71) for a tournament total of 143 tying for second-place individually at one-under par. Jimenez-Perea’s
eight birdies tied for a tournament lead and helped earn her a spot on the all-tournament team.
Brenna Moore, Midwestern State University, SR, Burkburnett, Texas, Burkburnett HS
Moore posted consecutive par-or-better scores to take second in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Monday and
Tuesday at the Fort Sill Golf Club. The senior from Burkburnett notched her second and third rounds with a
par-or-better score logging a 72 and 71 for a total of 143 (-1). Moore tied Tarleton State’s Isabel Jimenez-Perea
for second place closing six strokes behind tournament winner Ivon Reijers (138/-6) of Redlands CC (Okla.).
Moore’s efforts helped the Mustangs to a third-place team showing.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Oscar Spolander, West Texas A&M University, tied for sixth at the Midwestern State Classic where he fired
rounds of 73, 70 and 72 for a 215 score. Spolander paced the Buffs to a sixth-place finish in the tournament.
Elise Strutt, West Texas A&M University, led the Lady Buffs to a fourth-place finish at the Oklahoma
Intercollegiate with rounds of 73 and 75 for a 148 score. Strutt and the Lady Buffs fired a school-record 292
first round topping last year’s previous best of 294 at this tournament.

Angelo State
Cameron
The Aggie men won the Midwestern State Invitational this week with an overall score of 859, thanks to a
second round 274. Dylan McClure finished in second overall, but led Cameron with a 209, and shot a career low
66 in round two. Bradley Ferrell finished in fourth with a 214, while Zander Winston also finished in the top-10
with a 217. Cullen Stahl finished in 17th, just two strokes behind Winston, and Corey Bounds rounded out the
group with a 226. Zeb Littlefield competed individually and finished with a 234. Next week the Aggies head to
the Texas A&M-Commerce Classic, where they won last year.
The Cameron women finished in eighth at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate with a 624. Jaqueline Strickland led
the team with a 10th place finish and a 149, while Alexis Thompson and Erin Hess finished in 35th and 36th with
a 156 and 157. Katie Johnston and Candice Swartz completed the CU five with a 162 from Johnston and a 164
from Swartz. Additionally, Robyn Moore carded a 166 and Bailey Brown shot a 179 competing as individuals.
Midwestern State
The Midwestern State women closed its fall season by taking third at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Monday and
Tuesday at the Fort Sill Golf Club... The Mustangs fired their best two rounds of the fall with a 299 and 296 for a
total of 595 to finish three strokes off of the pace of Newman (Kan.) (592) and just behind Tarleton State (593)...
Senior Brenna Moore notched her third and fourth par-or-better round of the season notching a 72 and 71 for
a total of 143 (-1) to finish tied for second with Tarleton State’s Isabel Jimenez-Perea and five strokes behind
Redlands CC’s Ivon Reijers (138/-6)... Junior Kynze Mann fired a season-best score of 73 (+1) in the final round
of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate... Sophomore Sierra Campbell logged her second Top 10 showing of the season
with rounds of 73 and 75 for a 4-over total of 148... Freshman Sarah Moore posted team countable scores in
eight of her nine rounds this fall...
The Midwestern State men took a seventh place showing at the MSU Invitational played Monday and Tuesday
at the Wichita Falls Country Club... The Mustangs fired a 31-over 883 to finish 24 strokes behind tournament
winning Cameron (859/+7)... Senior Derek Oland notched his second Top 10 finish of the season logging scores
of 72, 73 and 72 for a 4-over total of 217... Sophomore Thomas Smith logged his second consecutive Top 10
finish notching scores of 75, 71 and 70 for a 3-over total of 216... MSU closes the fall campaign next week at

The Lady Buffs finished fourth at their final fall tournament of the year at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate...WT
tallied a 292 in the opening round for the best round in school history topping last season’s 294 at the same
event...Junior Elise Strutt paced the team with a 148 on rounds of 73 and 75...The Lady Buffs head into the
spring season ranked 28th in the latest Golfstat rankings...
The men’s team concluded its fall season at the Midwestern State Invitational where it finished sixth of 15
teams...The Buffs carded rounds of 297, 290 and 295 for an 882 score...WT beat Dallas Baptist, Midwestern
State, St. Edward’s, St. Mary’s and Texas A&M-Commerce...The only LSC team to beat the Buffs was Cameron
who earned team medalist honors...Freshman Oscar Spolander paced the Buffs with a 73, 70 and 72 for 215
score.
