Brandel Woodman, West Texas A&M University, JR, Dumas, Texas, Dumas HS
Woodman finished fourth at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational Tuesday with a 54-hole score of 1-under
215 on rounds of 72, 70 and 73. He earned all-tournament honors for his efforts as the team finished fourth
in the 13-team field as well on the par 72, 6,538-yard Tascosa Golf Club course. Woodman’s 70 in the second
round was the low-round for the team in the tournament. It was his best career finish as his previous best was
a tie for ninth in the Territory Classic in 2013.
WOMEN’S
Casey Wild, Tarleton State University, SO, Wodonga, Australia, Wodonga Senior Secondary College
After leading the field by carding an opening-round score of even-par 72, Casey Wild shot a 78 (+6) on the
second day to claim fifth place and lead the TexAnn overall scoring at the Indianapolis Invitational where
Tarleton finished fourth. Wild had four birdies and 22 pars in the tournament.

Daniel Nielsen, Cameron University, carded a
steady 219 (75+73+71) which was good for sixth place
on the individual leaderboard in his first tournament
for the Aggies at the Ryan Palmer Invitational this last
week. Nielsen’s low score helped Cameron secure
a third place finish overall using only two returners
from last years LSC Championship squad.
Analysa Coy, Texas A&M University - Kingsville,
recorded the best finish of her career at the Lady
Bulldog Invitational. She finished second with a 36-
hole total of 153 (+9). The first round saw her shoot
a 77 and the follow up with a 76. Coy’s tournament
score is tied for the fifth lowest 36-hole total ever by
a Javelina.

Cameron
The Cameron Men’s golf team finished in third place
at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational on Sept.
14-15. The Aggies shot an 885 (301+287+297) in the
three round invitational, narrowly missing second
place by four strokes. Sophomore Daniel Nielsen
paced the CU group after carding a 1-under for the day
and tied for sixth place overall with a 219 (75+73+71).
Senior Zander Winston climbed up 12 spots from his
Monday round to tie for 16th overall after shooting a
222 (77+73+72). Winston also paced the leaderboard
with an invite high 38 pars. Senior Justin Jang and
Sophomore Quinton Tews finished one stroke apart
from each other with Jang carding a 226 (71+75+80)
and Tews at 227 (78+73+76). Freshman Devin
Whipple shot the second lowest round on Monday
with a 68 and scored a 78 in the final 18 holes to
round out the CU five with a 230...The Cameron
Women’s golf team tied for sixth place at the Hawks
Creek Invitational on Sept. 14-15. The Aggies shot an
overall 966 after they picked up nine strokes in their
second round but were 21 shots better than their
opening round. Junior Katie Johnston led the Aggies
with a 234 (78+80+76) and tied for 11th place overall.
Senior Alexis Thompson matched Johnston’s final
round score but was one shot back of her with a 235
(82+77+76) to tie for 12th place. Freshman Kennedy
Wheeler finished her first tournament in 35th place
after carding a 249 (88+82+79). Junior Robyn Moore
picked up a stroke on the final round to tie for 46th
place after shooting a 252 (85+84+83), and Erin Hess
placed 48th by scoring a 255 (92+82+81).

Tarleton State
TexAnn golf claimed a fourth-place finish in their first
tournament of the fall season at the Indianapolis
Invitational at Prairie View Golf Club. Tarleton
matched their opening round score of 310 (+22) to
finish with a 620 (+44). Casey Wild finished fifth to
lead Tarleton’s scorecard.

Texas A&M-Kingsville finished fourth at the Lady
Bulldog Invitational hosted by Texas Lutheran
University... The Javelinas shot 643, 67-over par...
Tied for the fifth lowest two round total in program
history... Helped with second round score of 318,
10th lowest 18-hole total by the team ever... Analysa
Coy led the team with a two-day total of 153 (+9)...
Finished second overall among all individuals... Best
finish of her career... 36-hole total is tied for the fifth
best ever by a Javelina... Jessica Sellers finished tied
for 12th with score of 160... Brittany Rodriguez cared
a 164 for share of 22nd place... Rachelle Nielsen
finished two shots and places back of her... Bianca
Silerio rounded out TAMUK’s golfers with a 182...

West Texas A&M
The Buffs opened the season with a fourth-place
finish at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational on
the par 72, 6,534-yard Tascosa Golf Club course this
week. Junior Brandel Woodman finished a career-
best fourth in the tournament earning all-tournament
honors with a 1-under 215. He carded rounds of 72,
70 and 73 for the tournament. It was his best career
finish as he finished ninth at the Territory Classic in
2013. The Buffs played 11 golfers in the tournament
and saw a lot of positives from the young team as the
top five consisted of two true freshmen, Woodman,
a senior and a senior transfer. Only senior Ben
Kirkes was among the top five from last year’s NCAA
national championship competing team. Seniors
Carson Greathouse and Ethan Peterson were among
the six individuals competing in the tournament this
week who were part of the national championship
lineup last season.
