GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S
Clayton Keck, Midwestern State University, SR, Tulsa, Okla., Union HS (Utah)
Keck delivered a pair of solid rounds while facing windy conditions at The Territory Classic. The senior from Tulsa carded
an opening round, even-par 72, on Monday before fighting 20-30 mph gusts to mark a 3-over 75 to finish in a tie atop
the individual leaderboard at 147 with Arkansas-Fort Smith's Chris Eckes. Keck ultimately finished as runner-up
succumbing on the second playoff hole. He finishes the fall semester with a pair of solid performances finishing fourth as
the team won the Midwestern State Invitational last week then led the Mustangs to a third-place showing this week in
Duncan, Okla. Keck tops the Mustangs with a 72.63 stroke average through three tournaments this season.
WOMEN’S
Casey Wild, Tarleton State University, SR, Wodonga, Australia, Wodonga Senior Secondary College
Wild tied the Marsh Creek Country Club course record by shooting 4-under-par 68 in the final round to win the Flagler
Fall Slam. Wild, who entered Tuesday's final round in fourth place on the individual leaderboard, carded a total score of
140 (-4) to win the tournament. Wild had a tournament-best 11 birdies - including six on the final day. It's the lowest 36-
hole score of her career and ties her lowest 18-hole score, which she also accomplished in 2016 as a sophomore. It's
Wild's first title of her senior season. Wild's average scoring by hole was 2.88 (-1) on Par 3s, even par on Par 4s, and 4.63
(-3) on Par 5s, all of which ranked in the top four of all players in the tournament. Wild's performance helped the
TexAnns move up two spots on the team leaderboard and finish in fifth place with a score of 302-295-597 (+21). Barry
won the tournament with a 585 (+9).

Michael Hodson, West Texas A&M University, fired a 153 at The Territory Classic on rounds of 75 and 78 to lead WT
to a tie for ninth as Hodson finished tied for 26th at the tournament.
Sophie-Charlott Hempel, Texas A&M University-Commerce, battled strong winds at the Henderson State/GIC
Invitational to place in a tie for eighth at the tournament. It is the first top-10 finish in her collegiate career. She shot
rounds of 78 and 81 on Monday and finished with a round of 85 for a final score of +28 on Tuesday.

West Texas A&M finished tied for ninth at The Territory Classic this week...The tournament saw a lot of wind, especially
on the second day as the scores were drastically higher than the first round...WT carded a 36-hole score of 615 on
rounds of 305 and 310 in the 14-team tournament...The tournament concludes the fall season for the Buffs as WT sits
75th nationally in the latest Golfstat rankings heading into the spring season in February.
