GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
MEN’S
Brayden Cruth, West Texas A&M University, JR, Amarillo, Texas, Tascosa HS
Cruth won his first collegiate tournament with a career-best 13-under 203 at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational
Monday and Tuesday. The junior carded rounds of 69, 67, and 67 for career-lows. Cruth's 203 set the school-record for
lowest 54-hole total in program history, while his two 67's tied for fifth all-time in school history. He helped lead WT to
a tie for second (out of 17 teams) as the Buffs carded the best 54-hole team score (842) in school history.
CO-WOMEN’S
Kamryn Cummings, Angelo State University, JR, San Angelo, Texas, Central
Cummings finished tied for seventh after shooting a one-over 145 for the tournament at the TexAnn Fall Classic.
Cummings shot a stroke better with a 72 on the final round and finished with the best par-4 scoring average at 3.90. She
had the second most birdies of the tournament with 10. She helped lead ASU to its best team score of 604 since 2015.
Sarah Gee, Tarleton State University, SR, Warminster, England, Kingdown School
Gee led Tarleton on the individual leaderboard at the TexAnn Fall Classic with a 145 (+1), which tied her for seventh. The
senior from England had rounds of 71 (-1) and 74 (+2). Gee tied for the team lead with seven birdies in the tournament
and added 21 pars overall.

Gonzalo Pan De Soraluce, Western New Mexico, was in the hunt for the title at the Ryan Palmer Foundation
Invitational as he was tied for first through the first two rounds with scores of 69 and 67, before finishing with a 73 for a
209 to tie for ninth. WNMU as a team came in 11th.
2. Devin Tovey, Cameron University, was on his game in all three rounds of the Ryan Palmer Invitational, but played
especially well in the third round on Tuesday, shooting a 66, which was the second lowest score of the round. His 204
was just one stroke shy of the tournament winner, West Texas A&M's Brayden Cruth. Tovey totaled 16 birdies and shot
nine under on the par-5 holes and three under on the par-4 holes. He set career lows with his finish and his scores.
Tovey paced the Aggies to a second place finish with an 842 54-hole team score.
Brenda Dominguez, Western New Mexico, put together a pair of strong tournaments to start the season as she tied
for eighth at the Farmers Insurance Samuel Proal Invitational with a 151 (73-78) to lead the Lady Mustangs into a tie for
seventh. At the TexAnn Classic, she posted rounds of 78-77 for a 155 to tie for 28th as WNMU finished seventh.

The Aggie men finished second at the WT Ryan Palmer Invitational this week. They were led by Devin Tovey, who
finished second individually with a 54-hole score of 204 just one stroke behind the tournament winner. CU shot 842 for
the tournament and got top-25 scores from Weston Ward, Dario Gabriel, and Will Lovelace.
The Cameron's women's golf team finished in sixth at the TexAnn Fall Classic this week, shooting a 299 for the 36-hole
event. Kennedy Wheeler led the way with a 16th place finish and a 149, while Kyndall Morgan and Allison Duffin each
shot 150 and placed in the top-20. "

Tarleton State
Tarleton women's golf finished fourth in the TexAnn Fall Classic at Squaw Valley Golf Course. The TexAnns shot a 291 in
the first round and 297 on Tuesday for a total score of 588 (+12). Newman won the tournament with a 575 (-1). Sarah
Gee led the TexAnns on the individual leaderboard with a 145 (+1) which tied her for seventh. The senior from England
had rounds of 71 (-1) and 74 (+2). Gee tied for the team lead with seven birdies in the tournament and added 21 pars
overall. Junie Khaw matched her first round score on day two with a 73 (+1), finishing the tournament tied for 11th with
a 146 (+2). Khaw had the second most pars in the tournament with 28 and carded three birdies. Casey Leatherman tied
for 11th also with rounds of 72 (E) and 74 (+2) for a 146 (+2). Leatherman tied Gee for the team lead in birdies with
seven and had 20 pars. Leatherman finished three-under par on the back nine in the two rounds combined. Casey Wild
tied for 22nd with a score of 152 (+8). Wild carded rounds of 76 (+4) on both days. The senior was second on the team
with 25 pars. Breanna Smith shot a 155 (+11) to tie for 28th in the tournament. Smith recorded five birdies in the two
rounds and had 18 pars. Tarleton will compete in the NCAA National Preview hosted by Dallas Baptist University in
Houston on Sept. 25-26.

set numerous school records during the tournament as it opened with a 10-under 278 marking a school-best round...The
3. 22-under for 54-hole also was a school-record as was the 36-hole score...WT carded rounds of 278, 281 and 283 for the
tournament...WT junior Brayden Cruth won his first collegiate tournament with a career-best 13-under 203 at the Ryan
Palmer Foundation Invitational Monday and Tuesday. He carded rounds of 69, 67, 67 for career-lows...Cruth's 203 set

Western New Mexico
The Lady Mustangs finished third and seventh opening the season in Pueblo and Stephenville. Brenda Dominguez paced
the team in Pueblo finishing in the top-10, while Shelby Turner led the team in Stephenville tying for 20th. Dominguez
put together a pair of strong tournaments to start the season as she tied for eighth at the Famers Insurance Samuel
Proal Invitational with a 151 (73-78) to lead the Lady Mustangs into a tie for seventh. At the TexAnn Classic, she posted
rounds of 78-77 for a 155 to tie for 28th as WNMU finished seventh.
The Mustangs opened the fall season in Amarillo coming in 11th as Gonzalo Pan De Soraluce paced the team finishing in
the top-10. Pan De Soraluce was in the hunt for the title at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational as he was tied for
first through the first two rounds with scores of 69 and 67, before finishing with a 73 for a 209 to tie for ninth. WNMU
came in 11th
as a team.
