Bartholomew earned a runner-up finish for the Rambelles this week at the RMAC No. 2 Tournament at

NOTES (Submitted by LSC SID’s)
Angelo State
The Rambelles claimed third place at the RMAC No. 2 Tournament this week with a cast of one senior, one
sophomore and three freshmen battling against a 17-team field at the Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction,
Colorado. ASU finished just six shots off the Dixie State pace and one shot behind Metro State in the team
standings. Ashley Bartholomew led the Rambelles with a runner-up finish in the individual race after she shot
rounds of 77 and 75 at the par-72 course. Leah Meza recorded her second straight top-10 finish by carding 78-
79 - 157 which put her in 10th, while fellow freshmen Morgan Rogers was 21st and Courtney Ward was 29th.
Ward cut five shots off her first-to-second round scoring for a two-day total of 165 and Rogers cut an impressive
nine strokes off her first round total with a 77 on Tuesday. Sophomore Rashae Skillern finished the tournament
in 40th, but saw the most drastic improvement as she shot a final round 78 which was 13 strokes better than
her first round. The Rambelles third-place showing was their best finish as a team since the 2013 season at the
Doc Housewright Invitational. ASU is back in action next week at the UCO Classic.
