2.4. List of activities.
List the activities in the unit and the methodology developed in each one.
The unit is aimed at presenting the culinary traditions of the Italian culture through the research of their main features. The
students will present the topic in five different blocks related to five areas of the Italian territory: the Northwest, the
Northeast, the Centre, the South and the Islands. Some of the most famous recipes of the Italian tradition will be described
in the presentation.
The main objective consists in building a deeper knowledge of some aspects of the study area of the course attended by
students ("Catering and cooking services"), integrated with the use of the English language for international
communication.
The methodology used involves cooperative learning through group work; flipped classroom where students become the
actors of learning through the presentation of their works to the classmates; video making where the students organize and
make a video to present the topic chosen.
Other objectives are developing organizational skills, cooperating with peers, improving entrepreneurship.
- GROUP WORK: the students are divided into groups of 4/5 people to prepare a presentation of the part of Italy assigned
by the teacher (COOPERATIVE LEARNING);
- GROUP PRESENTATIONS: each group presents its part of the research showing the materials produced on the LIM
(FLIPPED CLASSROOM);
- VIDEO MAKING: the students make a video showing a typical Italian recipe and organizing all parts of its making
including learning the parts to act, filming the scenes, choosing the materials and how to act (DRAMATIZATION
BASED LEARNING).

I would have preferred more time to develop the video making part because it requires different rehearsals and the scenes must be
filmed more than once. The video editing on the computer also requires a lot of work to be done in more time than the provided
one.
