In this unit plan, the students have tried elements of classical culture on their own bodies. They have worked with some of
the elements from the Ancient Olympic Games from Greece i.e. running, javelin, discos and wrestling
The main object is to obtain knowledge and practical experience on the original games' disciplins.
A common Danish methodology called "Den praktisk/musiske dimension"; translating to "The practical and musical
dimension":
In this method, the inidivual child is in focus. The pupil has experience by touching, catching etc. to create excitement,
feelings and opportunities to analyze.
The methodology is based on Gardners' theory of mulitiple intelligences.

If we had had more time to work with this unit we would have focused on adding some theoretical work to go along with the
practical work. This would help evolve several of Gardners' multiple intelligences
