2. Week 1
• For the first week of this project, we came up with some initial ideas
as a group and started looking at existing products for our research,
so we know what we wanted to do. We looked at idents for different
production companies like E4, adult swim etc. We also started our
audience research on our target audience, the primary age
demographic is 16 – 24-year-old and it is for people who live in York.
3. Week 2
• We continued with our research and planning, and I made 2 surveys,
a survey about social media usage because we wanted ours to be
similar to social media trends because it would appeal to our target
audience, and a survey about people who live in York to see what
they enjoy and do. I analysed the answers and wrote about them and
what they mean and how we can use it and apply it to our production
work
4. Week 3
• This week I experimented with logos to come up with some own
ideas, we decided to have the word 'grid' because it is the name of
the topic, with the line from the G going across the word, we tried it
with different fonts and different styles to see what suits our project
the best. Some of these has a more simplistic theme whereas others
were more futuristic and bolder, we wanted a bold theme to fit with
our project idea. We then came up with more ideas after
experimenting and as we wanted to do a theme of different time
areas for our idents, we did a title similar to a letter collage with 4
different letters using different fonts from magazine covers from each
time period
5. Week 4
• We continued with our PowerPoint on our work after doing our logos
and adding extra detail to our ideas for idents and themes. We did
extra research on the project on our PowerPoint
6. Week 5
• This week I finished my planning for my project on PowerPoint by
creating ideas using the theme of time, I decided to link this to
my where my target audience is based, in York. So, I am doing a
magazine about how York has changed over time. I did lots of
research and gathered together lots of images to compare to new
photos of York. I started by doing my front cover with a title and two
images of how a bridge in York used to be compared to now. I did a
grid layout to separate the front and back cover.
7. Week 6
• I continued with my production on Photoshop on my magazine, I
decided on all the images I will use and added more detail and
information to my planning.
8. Week 7
This week I finished off my production on Photoshop and started on my
evaluation and worked on that. I added finishing touches to my front
and back cover and changed up the background colour to a lighter
beige colour, this matches the images and looks appealing and smooth.
I added more text and information to my double page spread using
similar fonts to the front cover.
9. Week 8
• This week I finished off my work, including my production by
exporting the work and uploading it, and my evaluation
