The document summarizes the student's evaluation of a production process for a magazine. Some key strengths identified include reliable research sources, effective planning that allowed images and elements to fit as intended, and good time management. Weaknesses included similar source material and not spending enough time on editing images. Peer feedback suggested adding more text and images to fill space and make the magazine more appealing visually. The student agreed more text was needed but disagreed that the cover image could be larger given its placement.
3. Research
The strengths of my research are that the information that I have gained is
from reliable sources such as Wikipedia and images from google images. This
is because the images are from world wide magazines therefore they are
reliable sources.
This research helped me with my research because it gave me ideas on what
images I wanted to use and the text I wanted to put into the work and how it
will be placed.
The weakness of my research is that most of the best magazines are similar to
each other. Another weakness of my work is that the time taken to take
photos and edit them in editing software.
4. Planning
• A strength of my planning was that the image I took for the magazine
cover and double page spread was discussed and created from the plan.
This means the images are ready and the masthead and other parts can
be added easily for certain places that I have decided to place them.
• The planning helped my final product because I knew how everything
would fit most of the time and this gave me more time to experience with
images and titles.
• A weakness of my planning was that in my final product some of the
images and text are different from discussion because the letting wouldn’t
fit and would look like it is in the correct place until you change the colour
and font.
5. Time Management
• I managed time well in certain places by using certain time periods to do
different things. I did this in my planning because I had a lot of photo
editing in photo fox software and also Photoshop editing software.
• I completed my work just in time because the images were difficult to take
because they were only available to take at certain points In the day. This
made it more difficult to finish in time but I did.
• An improvement I would do towards my work is spend more time on
Photoshop because it could make my work more detailed and more
professional than It already is.
• I also would have put more time into taking better images for my cover
and double page spread for the final product.
6. Technical Qualities
A major difference
between the two
magazine covers
are the colour
contrasts, this is a
large difference
because the colours
can draw your eyes
and keep your
attention when its
needed.
I similarity of the two images are that the masthead
are in a similar location but have contrasting colours.
The contrasting colours through both of the covers
are similar because they are almost opposite. This
draws your eyes towards the main parts, such as the
text and images.
A difference
between the two
magazine covers is
the main images.
This is because my
magazine image is
off to the side and
the mixmag
magazine image is
in the centre.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I think this magazine cover is creative because of the image location and the colour contrast
brings out the text and image. The strength of this is that it is different to most magazine
covers because its original and unique for the image. A weakness of the design is that there
isn’t enough text in some places so it can be empty is places on the design.
A good part of the magazine is that it draws your eyes towards the main parts, such as the text
and images. A strength is that I managed time well in certain places by using certain time
periods to do different things.
8. Audience Appeal
I have been appealing to my audience with the design because of the colours and the
different image. This is also because of the image I used because it is different and unique.
The different colours of the text draws your eyes in front of the black back ground. The bold
title of the magazine draws your eyes towards the front of the magazine because of the
contrast of the colours. The audience may be appealed towards the magazine because of the
bands following that brings interest towards reading and purchasing the magazine.

12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– This product is very new and is also very clear in
repenting what's going on in it.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Could of add more pictures and writing around it.
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that there is a colour contrast and the
image in a good location.
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I disagree that I could add a larger image onto the
front of the cover because the image Is located
onto the side because of the text on the right.
14. Peer Feedback Summary
The changes I would make to the magazine cover is that
there should be more text and a larger image because it
would be good to fill the magazine cover.
I also would add more information onto the double page
spread because it should be more filled out to create a
better view of the two sides.
