MOSHIACH IN THE PARSHA
וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הַבָּאִים מִצְרָיְמָה אֵת יַעֲקֹב אִישׁ וּבֵיתוֹ בָּאוּ" )שמות א, א(
And these are the names of the sons of Yisrael who came
to Mitzraim; with Yaakov, each man and his household
came: Reuvein, Shimon, Levi and Yehudah.
The Midrash writes: "Reuvein and Shimon entered and
Reuvein and Shimon left." Meaning, the Reuvein and
Shimon who entered Mitzraim, remained the same Reuvein
and Shimon even when they left: They hadn't changed
their names. The high Madreiga that Reuvein and Shimon
had attained at the time they descended to Mitzraim,
lasted throughout the entire Golus! Their Emunah in
Hashem stayed strong and their Bitachon was not shaken
even in the worst times of Avodas Perech.
And, Takeh, in the Zechus of "going in as Reuvein and
Shimon" - this Avodah of not changing their Jewish names,
their Jewish Levush and Jewish language - they were Zoche
that "Reuvein and Shimon went out" of Mitzraim.

Many centuries after Yetzias Mitzraim, a great Jew lived in
Mitzraim: The Rambam, who was a Rov in the Egyptian
communities and taught Torah and Mitzvos. The Rambam
is most famous for his great Sefer the "Yad Hachazaka.
They are fourteen books that compile all the Halachos of
the Torah, from the Yesodos of Emunah, to the Halachos
of Melech Hamoshiach. While in Mitzraim, the Rambam
kept a watchful eye on other Jewish communities as well,
corresponding with them and answering their Sha'alos.
He encouraged and breathed life into the Jews who were
suffering terribly from their non jewish neighbors.
These two periods of time, the Golus of our forefathers
in Mitzraim and the period of the Rambam there, have a
common nature: A clear display of Emunah and a brave
effort to live a life of Geulah - even while still in Golus, in a
dark Mitzraim!

At the end of 5740 -
a shmita year, - the Rebbe
spoke of the imminent
arrival of Moshiach.
The Rebbe then quoted
a Gemara which says
how Moshiach will
come b'motzei shevii's -
right after shmita, - and
explained, how this
Gemara is referring to the shleimus of Moshiach's coming
which will be b'motzei shevi'is. Nevertheless Moshiach can still
come in 5740, while it's completion will be b'motzei shevi'is.

One of the of the Frierdiker Rebbe's
.’בימבד‘ Chassidim's family name was
One day, he received a letter from the Frierdiker
Rebbe, in which the Frierdiker Rebbe mysteriously
wrote his family name with quotes as a Roshrei
.(בימב"ד) Teivos
This Chossid went to Reb Chaim Ozer Grodzinski,
seeking his help him in solving this mystery. Reb
Chaim Ozer was perplexed and told him to go ask
the Rebbe himself.
The Rebbe’s answer was surprising, the Rebbe
explained to him, that the source of his family is
from Beis Dovid, and this is hinted in his family
name. The Roshei Teivos of his family name are,
Bimeheira Yavo Moshiach Ben Dovid.

2. דאלאי גלות
Yaakov Avinu considered living a life of close to 150 years a short life, comparing it to the years’ of his parents. This
teaches us that every Yid deserves good and long years, and any Yid can demand it and Hashem will surely carry out his
desire.
Following suit, we will surely not be satisfied with our lives as long as Moshiach has not yet come, rather we will demand Moshiach’s
coming immediately!
Let’s consider: the Gemara tells us that ‘all the deadlines (for Moshiach’s arrival) has passed, all that is left is to do t’shuva’, the Rebbe
tells us that we did t’shuva and now is time for the Geulah – of course we will scream ‘Ad Mosai?! How long?!’
One may ask: Why are we coming with complaints on Hashem about the Geulah? He knows what he needs to do, he knows it’s
time for the Geulah; and what’s the purpose of mentioning the great pain of Golus now, on Shabbos?
Stop with the calculations! All that is relevant is that Moshiach should come already, fast!
What will be with those who fell asleep by this farbrengen? They will be picked up by the clouds and when they wake up we’ll
explain to them where they are.
You have questions, and things don’t settle with you? That’s okay, Eliyahu HaNovi will come and answer all your questions. (The
Rebbe then said:) But Yidden, get out of golus!
וואס דערפון איז מובן אז ע״פ טבע האט יעקב
געדארפט לעבן כימי שני חיי אבותיו, ובשעת ער לעבט
ווייניקער דערפון - איז דאס א מיתה קודם זמנו. דערפאר
האט ער זיך געקלאגט ״מעט גו'" אויף דעם וואס ער
וועט נפטר ווערן קודם זמנו.
דערפון האט מען דעם לימוד, אז על פי טבע דארף
יעדער איד האבן אריכות ימים ושנים טובות על כל
פנים ווי שני חיי אבותיו, ואדרבה: עס דארף זיין א סיבה
מיוחדת פארוואס דאס זאל ניט זיין אזוי!
דעריבער האט יעדער איד בכח )פון יעקב אבינו( צו
מאנען אז ער זאל האבן אריכות ימים ושנים טובות!
און בשעת א איד מאנט דאס - פירט ער זיכער אויס און
ס׳ווערט אזוי בפועל!
עאכו״כ בשעת א איד מאנט אז עס זאל שוין קומען
די גאולה, ווארום ס׳איז שוין ״כלו כל הקיצין ואין
הדבר תלוי אלא בתשובה״, און נשיא דורנו האט שוין
אפגעפסק׳נט אז אלע אידן האבן שוין תשובה געטאן -
"לאלתר לתשובה״, און איצטער דארף שוין זיין ״לאלתר
לגאולה״ - במילא שרייט מען: ״עד מתי?!...
עס זיינען פאראן די וואס זאגן: ווי קומט עס אז עס
זיצט א מענטש און ער מאטערט אידן עטלעכע שעה, און
רעדט אהער און אהין, און דערנאך גיט ער מיטאמאל א
געשריי ״דאלאי גלות" און מאנט פון זיי אז זיי זאלן אויך
שרייען ״עד מתי" ווארום ס'איז שוין דורך פרייטאג און
עלטעכע שעה אין שבת, און מ'האלט נאכמיטאג לאחרי
כמה שעות וואט מ'רעדט דא, ועדיין לא בא!
טענה'ן זיי: צוליב וואס דארף מען זיי דערמאנען ביום
השבת וועגן צער הגלות, און דערצו דארף מען נאך האבן
טענות צום אויבערשטן )כביכול( און זאגן דיעות דעם
אויבערשטן - מ׳וויל זיך ניט קריגן מיטן אויבערשטן,
מ'וויל לעבן בשלום מיט דעם אויבערשטן!
ובפרט אז דער אויבערשטער ווייסט וואס ער דארף
טאן, און ווייסט וואס עס שטייט אין גמרא אז ״כלו כל
הקיצין ואין הדבר תלוי אלא בתשובה", און ווייסט אז
נשיא דורנו האט געפסק'נט אז אידן האבן שוין תשובה
געטאן ־ איז ווי קומט א ״יא-טיביע-דאם״ און מאנט אז
מ'דארף שוין האבן די גאולה?!
ענטפערט מען זיי, אז דא איז ניט נוגע אריינגיין אין
קיינע חשבונות, נוגע איז נוגע נאר דער ענין - אז עס זאל
שוין קומען די גאולה בפועל, ובאופן פון ״אחישנה״ און
״אחישנה״ שב״אחישנה״!!
איי עס זיצן אידן בא דער התוועדות און שלאפן - וועט
מען זיי ארויפזעצן שלאפענדיקערהייט על ״ענני שמיא״,
און אויפכאפנדיק זיך פון שלאף וועלן זיי אויפעפענען די
אויגן און זען אז זיי געפיגען זין מיטאמאל אין ירושלים
עיר הקודש, אדער זיי וועלן ניט וויסן וואו זיי זיינען וועט
מען זיי דערציילן, און זיי וועלן וואשן נעגל־וואסער און
מ׳וועט זיי זאגן וועלכע ברכה צו מאכן ע״פ שו"ע...
איי מ׳האט קשיות - געזונטערהייט! אבער פריער זאל
קומען דער גאולה, און דעמולט וועט אליהו זיכער אויף
אים רחמנות האבן זעענדיק אז ער קען ניט שלאפן און ער
האט צער דערפון וואס ער האט א קשיא און אליהו וועט
אים זיכער ענטפערן די קשיא.
אבער אידן - גייט ארויס פון גלות!
כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א הפסיק כרגע וחייך ואמר: לחיים,
לחיים ולברכה! ועשה תנועה בידו הק'.
