MOSHIACH IN THE PARSHA
This Possuk, proclaimed as the Yidden were ready to enter
Eretz Yisroel, presents a basic law relating to the fundamental
principle of kashrut, the dietary laws: how to make vessels
kosher, fit for use by Yidden.
According to some authorities, this passage is also the
source for the fundamental law relating to Family Purity,
that a menstruate woman must immerse in a mikveh for self-purification.
"
In these last days of Golus we must be particularly vigilant
with these two commandments. Besides their intrinsic
significance as basic and perpetual principles of Judaism, they
are also a special preparation and catalyst for our anticipated
entry into the Land of Israel with the coming of Moshiach.
כתב יד קודש
Presented below is a very powerful Ksav Yad, which stresses both the importance of Davening for the actual, literal Geulah and that this Tefillah
truly takes effect in this world, every day.
On 25 Teves 5744, at the Shabbos Farbrengen, the Rebbe discussed the question, “Every day, for almost two thousand years now, numerous times
daily, we’ve been Davening for Moshiach; how is it possible that Moshiach has not yet arrived?!”
The Rebbe pointed out that this issue has already been addressed by the Shaloh HaKodosh. His answer, in short – as explained by the Rebbe –
is that, just like every Mitzva has a spiritual effect in Shomayim, so does the Mitzva of Teffiloh. And, since the Neshomo of a Yid is his primary
focus of being, it follows that what our prayers achieve on high is not insignificant, but the true reality and it merely needs be drawn down below.
***
That Wednesday, the editors of the Morristown Kovetz Ha’oros sent the Rebbe a Hanacha of this part of the Farbrengen, stating that it was
relevant to one of the Ha’oros and that they would like to include it in their upcoming Kovetz.
At the bottom of the Hanacha (which, as aforementioned, points to the spiritual
relevance of our Davening), the Rebbe added (to be included in the Kovetz):
At the same time, it is obvious that if, while saying the Brochos in which we request
the Geulah, one has in mind anything other than their literal meaning, then his
behavior is contrary to the requirement of Halocho and the Mitzvas Asei of Teffiloh,
as interpreted by the Rambam and others: that a person must ask Hashem for his

surrounded by seventy wolves, unable to survive and yet, every single day, “they stand up against us to destroy us and Hashem saves us from their

2. דאלאי גלות
a Sicha was brought from Shabbos Parshas Pinchos 5745, where the Rebbe spoke sharply against דלאי גלות In last week’s
those who claim that L’alter L’teshuva L’alter L’geula doesn’t mean now literally R”L.
The Rebbe explained that when we say L’alter L’geula, Moshiach now etc. we mean it literally – that Moshiach is coming now.
We see this Inyan expressed again and again in the Sichos of the Rebbe, that the Inyan of Moshiach is not a far-fetched subject
rather it’s relevant every single day, because Moshiach could come every day.
In this Sicha the Rebbe used a - so to speak - “wild” expression, which brings out the yearning of a Yid and the belief that Moshiach
could come any second: “He could show with his finger that here is Moshiach coming into the Shul, through the doorway, through
the window, through the roof, the main thing is that he should come!”

Once, after a Tishrei spent in New York with the Freidiker
Rebbe, R’ Avrohom Pariz was preparing to return to Eretz
Yisroel. As was his custom, he also went to take his leave
from the Rebbe (known then as “the Ramash”). They said
their ‘goodbyes’, and R’ Avrohom concluded with his heartfelt
wish “az mir zollen zich zen noch amol mitten Rebben” [we
should again see each other with the Rebbe].
“R’ Avrohom”, the Rebbe said to him, “why don’t you say,
better, “mir zollen zich zen mit Moshiach’n”? [we should again
see each other with Moshiach] But R’ Avrohom discounted the
question, saying “Rebbe, Moshiach, es iz di zelbe zach!” [Rebbe,
Moshiach, it's all the same thing!]

The reason why we call the days between Shivah Asar
B'Tammuz and Tisha B'av “The Three Weeks,” and not the 21
days, is because the number 3 expresses the bright side of the
three weeks, alluding to the third Beis Hamikdash.
