MOSHIACH IN THE PARSHA
וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עָשׂוּ כִּדְבַר מֹשֶׁה וַיִּשְׁאֲלוּ מִמִּצְרַיִם כְּלֵי כֶסֶף וּכְלֵי זָהָב וּשְׂמָלֹת" )שמות יב, לה(
When the Yidden were ready to leave Mitzraim, they "borrowed"
from the Mitzriyim all the gold and silver they had, as Hashem
commanded them: "And the children of Israel did according to
Moshe's order, and they borrowed from the Mitzriyim silver
objects, golden objects, and garments".
There is no doubt that the radical change in the Mitzriyim
treatment of the Jews, from harsh enslavement to the gifting of
gold and silver vessels, was a complete miracle.
One interesting aspect of this miracle was that the Mitzriyim
took it as something natural, they themselves thought they needed
to help, and even gave the Yidden things they didn’t request, we
can say that they felt the need for some sort of compensation after
210 years. At any rate, we see that the Mitzriyim opening their
hearts was a miracle enclothed in nature.
It says in Novi, “like when I took you out of Egypt I will show you
wonders” meaning to say that miracles by the ultimate Geulah will
be comparable to those of when Hashem took us out of Mitzrayim.
It follows that even now, we can imagine what the relationship
between the Yidden and the nations of the world will be.
In the time of Geulah the hearts of all the nations will change
over and they will naturally want to help the Yidden, because then
we will be uplifted over all nations, and this will be visible to the
natural eye. So too, we will have a repetition, with the future time
being exponentially greater, of the nation’s helping the Yidden.

In the months following the passing of the Frierdiker Rebbe, the Rebbe continued
answering letters of Chassidim, encouraging them to add more in their activities
in order to spread out the Ma’ayanos of Chassidus in accordance with the will of
the Frierdiker Rebbe.
Reb Shneur Zalman Duchman wrote a Pan in which he requested that a Chilul
Hashem should not be caused through him.
In the reply, which the Rebbe sent back regarding his Pan, The Rebbe added in
his own handwriting:
א בקשה פון א חסיד:
שלא יתחלל, חס ושלום, שם שמים על ידו! – דערמיט וועט מען אראפבריינגען משיח'ן?. ישתדל בהפצת
מעינות דברי אלקים חיים חוצה, ובמילא הכל בכלל זה.
חס , A request of a Chossid: that a Chilul Shem Shomayim should not be caused
through him! - with this [approach], will we bring Moshiach? ,ושלום
he should direct his efforts in Hafotzas HaMaayonos Chutza and this automatically includes everything.

which Bila'm said in his Nevua, ,וקם שבט מישראל that the Posuk of
is reffering to Melech HaMoshiach.

2. י ח י א ד ו נ נ ו מ ו ר נ ו ו ר ב י נ ו מ ל ך ה מ ש י ח ל ע ו ל ם ו ע ד

Every day, we must ensure that our Avoda is done properly, that our thought, speech and action fit in with the will
of the Nosi Hador. Now, as we stand in the days before Yud Shvat – the Rosh Hashono of Hiskashrus, not only must
one check that he is behaving in accordance with the Rebbe’s directives, but he must also continuously add in ma’aseh b’poel,
practical action.
On Shabbos Parshas Bo 5741, the Rebbe began the Farbrengen by saying that we are holding close to Yud Shvat and that, therefore,
everyone must prepare themselves properly in machshovo, dibur and ma’aseh, with an emphasis on bringing about tangible results.
The Rebbe insisted that we must demand the Geulah with much clamor, we cannot be content with a mere thought or a simple
voicing of our desire for Geulah; we must cry out with desire for the Geulah. And, as the Rambam paskens, this will result in our
immediate redemption.
The Rebbe’s intention, in tasking us now with the mission of demanding Moshiach now, is so that it will affect every yid, even one
who is so only by name, who hears it. And this will cause, as well, that they too will demand the Geulah.
Now, just before Yud Shevat, the hachlotois toivois that we take, must pertain, not only to our thought and speech, but to our
action, as well. The most important thing is to complete ‘The Greatest Mivtza’ of creating a ‘Diroh B’tachtonim’ through these
hachlotos, which will be the ones that will complete all our work; all this, through our demanding the Geulah!
וואס דאס איז אויך דער טעם פארוואס מ'קאכט זיך אז
מ׳זאל זיך קאכן אין דעם ענין אז משיח זאל קומען דוקא
איצטער, ובלשון הרמב״ם: אז "מיד הן נגאלין" דוקא,
און מ׳קאכט זיך אז מ׳זאל דאס זאגן און שרייען, און
דוקא אין אן אופן פון א שירה אדירה.
און אז דאס זאל אנקומען אויך צו די וואס "בשם
ישראל יכונה". אז אויך אויף זייער לשון זאל מען דאס
זאגן.
און אז דער אפקלאנג זאל פועל זיין אויך אויף זיי,
אז זיי זאלן דאס דערהערן, ביז אז עס וועט פועל זיין
בא זיי די התעוררות, אז נאך איידער זיי האבן זיך
אויסגעלערנט לה״ק, צי די שפראך וואס איז נתקדש
געווארן דורך אמירת תורה פון רבותינו נשיאינו,
אנהויבנדיק פון דעם בעש״ט )אידיש( - זאלן זיי שוין
אויך קענען זאגן בלשונם, בכל מקום ומקום, אז זיי ווילן
משיח'ן איצטער.
און ניט נאר וועלן און טראכטן וועגן דעם, אדער זאגן
דאס בניחותא, נאר - זאגן דאס בקול רעש גדול, ובקול
שירה וזמרה -
ווארום דורך דעם וואס מ׳קאכט זיך אין אזא אופן אז
מ'וויל האבן משיח'ן איצטער, פועל'ט מען אז משיח
זאל טאקע קומען איצטער, ובלשון הרמב"ם "ומיד הן
נגאלין".
וואס דאס קומט דורך הקדמת התשובה )ווי דער
רמב״ם שרייבט דארט(, וואס דורנו זה איז א דור של
תשובה.
וואס דורך תשובה איז "טרם יקראו ואני אענה",
ועאכו״כ אז עס איז שוין געווען דער "יקראו", וכו'.
ובפשטות מיינט דאס אז אין דעם שבת דארפן זיין
די החלטות בענין הפעולות פון יו"ד שבט, און ניט נאר
החלטות במחשבה אדער אפילו בדיבור, נאר - עס דארף
אויך זיין עשי', מעשה בפועל, כפי האפשרי אויף שבה.
און דורך די אלע )החלטות ו(פעולות אין די ענינים:
פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אין ענין התפלה און אין לימוד
התורה, נגלה און חסידות, און אין הפצת היהדות והפצת
המעינות -
קומט מען צו דעם מבצע הכי גדול – דער ענין פון
מאכן א דירה בתחתונים. וואס דאס וועט זיין דורך
משיח'ן דוקא, וואס ער וועט דאס אויפטאן.

One time a group of people, who were not Chassidim,
came to the Tzemach Tzedek. Telling him, that they want
to get closer to Chassidus but they cannot, since they
have a few questions about something which they saw by the
Chassidim.
They observed one of the Gedolei Hachassidim crying on
Simchas Torah, and singing on Tishah B’av. How can it be?!
The Rebbe answered them: by a Chossid, singing does not
mean that he is happy, and when he cries, this does not mean
that he is sad. Crying means – bitterness, when a Chossid on
Simchas Torah remembers the light of Torah, and how far he is
from that, he comes to bitterness.
However, on Tishah B’av, when he sees how the Simonim
of the Churban are being fulfilled, then he sings to Hashem,
because he knows that Hashem will fulfill the second part too,
and bring the Geulah.
