MOSHIACH IN THE PARSHA
Parshas Pinchas speaks of dividing and apportioning the Land of
Eretz Yisroel among the Shvatim.
From these Pesukim we see that two methods were used to
divide the land. First, through logically assessing the individual
needs of each Shevet and choosing a land appropriate for those
needs. Second, through making a Goral - a lot - a way that's not
logical. In Sefer Yehoshua, we find a third method: Through
Hashem (- through the Ruach Hakodesh of the Kohein Gadol as
he looked at the Urim V'tumim).
The amazing thing is that each of these three methods - logic,
lot and Hashem - all prescribed the same portions for the same
Shvatim. All three coincided exactly together with the same
results!
A simple question arises though: Since there actually were three
methods being used to divide the land, why then does the Torah
write "Only through the Goral shall the Land be apportioned",
implying that no other method other than a Goral was to be used?!
The answer is that the word "Only (through Goral...)" is not
referring to that time, rather it's addressing the division of the
land which will happen when Moshiach comes! When Moshiach
comes and the Yidden will enter Eretz Yisrael, there will be a

division of the land among them and indeed it will be done only
through a Goral - not by any other means.
The deeper meaning and significance of dividing and inheriting
the land is: Taking land which is essentially non-Jewish, Eretz
Canaan, and transforming it to Kedusha - a land the eyes of
Hashem are always upon. The power to transform something at
its essential level lies only in the hands of Hashem, since from
our logical perspective this is impossible! Therefore the method
of dividing the land (- transforming it's essence to Kedusha) is
done through a Goral which "decrees" the division of the land
without logic, representing Hashem's pure will which is beyond
logic.
Only then, when they entered Eretz Yisrael for the first time,
other methods of dividing the land were used as well, reflecting
the fact that Hashem's pure will which is above logic, is hidden
and concealed in this world under logic and reason.
During the Geulah though, Hashem's glory will be revealed in
the whole world for all to see and everyone will have the true and
real recognition of Hashem’s pure will - as it is beyond logic. That
is why the land will indeed be divided then only through a Goral.

It is well known, that the Rebbe checked and corrected many details
in the Shalsheles HaYachas (family tree of the Beis HoRav), which
appears as an introduction to Hayom Yom.
In the year 5742 it was written that the Rebbe made a big Shturem
about the Mitzvah of buying a letter in the Sefer Torah. The Rebbe
added the following words:
that this Mitzvah is מעורר He was
the end (last) of the 613 Mitzvos
of the Torah, and some connect
this with the end and conclusion
of Golus.
מעורר אשר מצוה זו היא סיום תרי״ג מצות שבתורה, ויש המקשרים זה עם סיום וקץ הגלות.
LIVING LESSONS
On 10 Teves 5750 an individual came to the Rebbe
requesting a blessing for himself and his family. He
went on to continue adding more and more requests
until the Rebbe told him:
Perhaps you should request that Moshiach should come?
The man answered: Im Yirtzeh Hashem.
The Rebbe responded: Hashem wants it; it’s up to the
Yidden to want it as well.

Unlike the first two Botei Mikdosh, where it was prohibited
to use iron, the third Beis Hamikdosh will be mostly
constructed of iron.

2. דאלאי גלות
Many times people question: how is it possible to believe and to say that Moshiach is coming right now, the Rebbe said this 20
plus years ago and we are still in Golus?
The Rebbe addresses this question in the Sicha of Shabbos Parshas Pinchos 5745, saying that the main Avodah of our time is to add in all
aspects of the Avodah of bringing the Geulah now. This that people claim that the Freidiker Rebbe said L’alter L’teshuva L’alter L’geula many
years ago and the fact that we are still in Golus shows that ‘L’alter’ doesn’t mean right now – immediately – literally, this comes from the
Yetzer Horah and those who claim it are Shluchim of theYetzer Horah (especially those who say it with a Geshmak . . .).
The Rebbe explains that when the Freidiker Rebbe said L’alter L’teshuva L’alter L’geula he meant it now literally. It was only because of our
Aveiros that we weren’t Zoche to it . . .
The Rebbe finishes off “The same is now, in our times, we have to announce L’alter L’teshuva L’alter L’geula - Moshiach now – and we
mean immediately – Teikef U'Miyad Mamosh!”
we need to do Tsuvah, how can we bring the לכאורה The Rebbe then addresses various questions people have regarding this, among them
Geulah for the whole world etc. But what we need to know is: the Rebbe means now!
וכידוע דער ״קול קורא״ פון דעם בעל הגאולה
דחודש תמוז )ווען שבת מברכים מנחם-אב קומט
אלעמאל אויס(: ״לאלתר לגאולה".
וואס דער פירוש אין ״לאלתר״ איז כפשוטו - גלייך!
״משיח נאו״, ״נאו״ ממש, און איך טייטש עס בפירוש
ניט אפ איז לשון הקודש, כדי מ'זאל ניט מיינען אז אין
לשון הקודש איז דער ענין שוין דא משא"כ בשפת
המדינה, נאר אדרבה: יתרון האור מן החושך דוקא,
דוקא פון ״משיח נאו״ בשפת המדינה - קומט ארויס
א יתרון האור!
קומט צוגיין דער "קלוגינקער" און טענה׳ט: אזוי
ווי דער קול קורא "לאלתר לגאולה" פון נשיא דודנו
איז )מפני סיבות שונות ומשונות( ניט גלייך מקויים
געווארן, און זינט דעמולט איז שוין א דורך 42 , 43 ,
44 יאר - קען אזוי אויך זיין איצטער ר״ל!
ס׳איז אבער פארשטאנדיק אז ס׳איז א שאד די צייט
צו גיין זיך אויס'טענה׳ן מיט א ״זקן וכסיל" ער איז דאך
א "זקן״ און א ״כסיל״... אדער מיט אזא וואס רעדט
בשליחותו, אדער נאך ערגער - ער ווערט א לבוש דורך
וועלכן דער ״זקן וכסיל״ רעדט, ובפרט נאך אויב ער
האט ר"ל א געשמאק אין פרעגן אזוינע שאלות און

גלייך ממש, ווי נשיא דורנו האט מכריז געווען אין
דעם ״קול קורא" און האט עס געהייסן מפרסם זיין און
אפדרוקן אין א חוברת פון ״אגודת חסידי חב״ד״, וואס
עס איז פארשטאנדיק אז דאס איז ניט בלויז אן ענין פון
אמאל, נאר דאס איז נוגע בפועל אויך איצטער, ווארום
״אגודת חסידי חב"ד״ איז נמשך געווארן עד היום הזה,
שלא כדעת אלו וואס זאגן אז ס'איז נפסק געווארן אין
שנת תש״י ר״ל, נאד אויך דערנאך איז ״זרעו בחיים"
במילא איז ״הוא בחיים"!
ובפרט בא די וואס דארפן ניט אנקומען צו א ידיעה
אז "מה זרעו בחיים אף הוא בחיים״, ווייל זיי זיינען
מרגיש ווי נשיא דורנו לעבט בא זיי - צי דורך א חלום,
אדער אין הצלחה במסחר, אדער אין דעם וואם ביי אים
פאלט אריין א הרהור תשובה אומגעריכטערהייט ווען
עד שטייט אין מעמד ומצב ווען ער טראכט בכלל ניט
וועגן דעם! פון וואנעט קומט דער הרהור תשובה - ער
האט דאך וועגן דעם אינגאנצן ניט געטראכט? איז אמת
טאקע אז עס שטייט דער ביאור בזה, אז ״בכל יום ויום
בת קול יוצאת מהר חורב ומכרזת ואומרת כו'", וואס
דאס איז גורם אז ביי אים זאל אריינפאלן א הרהור
תשובה, כמבואר בלקו״ת - אבער פארוואס פאלט עס
דוקא אים אריין און ניט א צווייטן, אדער פארוואס א
צווייטן פאלט אריין נאר איין הרהור תשובה, און אים
פאלט עס אריין צוויי מאל, דריי מאל וכו?! איז דאס
דערפאר - וואס אין אים לעבט נשיא דורנו!
ובנוגע צו די אלע שאלות וקשיות, סיי בקשר מיט
"נקרה נקרית״. סיי בקשר מיט ״לאלתר לגאולה"
- דארף מען וויסן אז די שאלות וקשיות קומען פון
יענער זייט.
טענה׳ט דער ״קלונגינקער״ ווייטער: אמת טאקע,
נשיא דורנו האט מכריז "לאלתר לגאולה״, אבער
ער האט דערביי מקדים געווען א תנאי "לאלתר
לתשובה״, אז מ׳דאדף פריער תשובה טאן, במילא
דארף ער נעמען צייט ביז אידן וועלן תשובה טאן.
ענטפערט מען אים: דער לשון איז ״לאלתר לתשובה"
- ווייל ע״פ דין קען מען תשובה טאן בשעתא חדא
וברגעא חדא )כדאיתא בזהר(, און דאס איז ניט אן ענין
וואס שטייט נאר אין זהר, נאר אזוי שטייט אין גמרא
און ס׳איז א פס״ד אין שו"ע מיט א נפק״מ בפועל, אז
דורך הרהר חשובה )וואט נעמט א רגע קטנה( ווערט א
איד א צדיק גמור, און די נפק"מ בפועל - המקדש את
האשה על מנת שאני צדיק גמור, איז אפילו אויב ער
איז געווען א רשע גמור, זאגט מען אז ס׳איז א קידושין
ע״פ תורה שמא הרהר תשובה ונעשה צדיק גמור!
תורת אמת רופט אים אן "צדיק גמור״!
וואס מכל זה איו מובן ווי עס קען זיין "לאלתר
לתשובה" - בשעתא חדא וברגעא חדא, און דעמולט
ווערט גלייך "לאלתר לגאולה", בלי שום הפסק זמן.
און דערפון איו מובן די הוראה פון שבת מברכים
מנחם-אב )וואס קומט אויס בחודש תמוז(:
בשבת זה האט מען א כח מיוחד צו אויפטאן אז
אנשטאט ״משנכנס אב ממעטין כו'" זאל דאס זיין א
ברכה אין די אלע ששה ענינים, וואס תוכן כולם איז
- די גאולה האמיתית והשלימה, ״לאלתר לגאולה",
תיכף ומיד.
און אויף דעם דארף זיין דער "לאלתר לתשובה", א
תשובה בשעתא חדא וברגעא חדא.
