In 5703, 1943, the Frierdiker Rebbe published the statement lโ€™alter lโ€™teshuvah lโ€™alter lโ€™geulah. Everyone was to know that Moshiachโ€™s coming is imminent. Simultaneously, he was instructing chassidim to establish more mosdos and build new houses and centers for Torah and chesed. They were confused and wondered about this enthusiasm in building etc. What is the point of investing in long term projects if Moshiach is coming soon? 
The Frierdiker Rebbe explained that the answer lies in the Torah, Parshas Behaโ€™alosecha. During the forty years in which the Yidden traveled through the desert on the way to Eretz Yisroel, they made many stops. Each time they stopped, by Hashemโ€™s instruction, they were to set up the mishkan. When they would leave, the mishkan would be disassembled and carried with them until the next stop. There it would be assembled once again. There were times when they camped for very lengthy periods of time, such as the nineteen years they camped in Kadeish. There were also times when they camped for just one night. At each stop the mishkan was assembled from scratch with all its beams, sockets, and curtains. The Yidden could have asked: Why should we bother to set up the whole mishkan, a time consuming and difficult process, when in a few hours the sign may be given to travel on. Then the mishkan, which we just worked so hard to build will be taken apart again! The answer is that setting up the mishkan was a commandment of Hashem. It therefore had to be performed fully and properly, irrelevant of the time it will remain standing. We do not analyze and judge Hashemโ€™s will, but rather we perform it entirely. 
This should also be our attitude towards the Geulah. We Yidden, as maโ€™aminim bโ€™nei maโ€™aminim, completely believe that Moshiach is coming each day. At the same time, however, this should not take away from fulfilling Hashemโ€™s will right now, in its fullest sence, even if it is a long term project. One has nothing to do with the other. We must continue to do Hashemโ€™s will now with our full enthusiasm and commitment, based on what Hashemโ€™s will is presently. We must simultaneously remain firm and strong in our faith that Hashem can and does make miracles and wonders, and will send us Moshiach right now. )ื–"ื™ืฉืช ,ื•ืœืกื› 'ื› , ื‘ืฉื™ื• ืง"ืฉืฆื•ืž ืชื—ื™ืฉืž(

And therefore, how is it possible that when many Yidden are involved in dedicating and preparing the Beis Hamikdash Hashlishi, someone should stand on the side and not join with the others- not him and not his ื˜ื‘ืฉ (his family, talmidim, etc.)?! Instead, he must surely make an effort to join them in their preparations to bring close and hurry the dedicating of the Beis Hamikdash Hashlishi which will be built speedily in his days and in our days.

On Shabbos Parshas Beha'alosecha 5748, the Rebbe explained the reason for Aharon's disappointment, explained in the first Rashi of this week's parsha. Aharon's sole purpose, his avodah, was to serve in the mishkan. Therefore, when the mishkan was dedicated without his involvement, he was truly disappointed. 
The Rebbe from this derives a hora'ah in avodas Hashem which is very applicable to our time - the final days of golus. When a Yid sees other Yidden who are kuching in Moshiach and he is not involved, it should truly disappoint him! The Yid should do everything in his ability to join this group to bring Moshiach now! 
Below, we present the Rebbe's corrections on this part of the sicha. The final text reads as follows:

optometrist was visited by the Rebbe. 
He asked the Rebbe the following: 
"As part of my work, I travel around the 
world. Everywhere I go I see the global 
activities of Chabad. So why has Moshiach 
not yet arrived?"

At the farbrengen on Shabbos Parshas Beha'alosecha 5741 the Rebbe spoke at length about the connection between 
so to speak โ€“ โ€“ ืžืื ืก Hashem and the Yidden as a husband and wife. This started by har sinai when Hashem was

Next, the Rebbe began to defend the Yidden from any complaints that Hashem might have against them, saying that anything 
which Hashem made them with. The Rebbe finished off by saying, โ€œIf so, then what ื™ืฆืจ ื”ืจืข a Yid does wrong is a result of the 
complaints could You have?โ€ 
In this part of the sichah, the Rebbe shows how on the contrary- the Yidden are able to demand from Hashem whatever 
they need because they are the wife of Hashem. The fact that they do not complain even about being sent into golus is that 
and demand that Moshiach should come now! ื’ื™ื‘ ื ืงืœืืค ืื•ื™ืคืŸ ื˜ื™ืฉ ! However enough with being humble .ืขื ื•ื™ื , they are humble

The Rebbe looked at him and replied, 
"Doctor, I have the same question. But all the 
while that Moshiach has not yet come, we 
need to spread more and more Yiddishkeit 
and chassidus. I constantly tell the chassidim 
they need to add more and more until the 
cup overflows and spills over."

MOSHIACHINTHEPARSHA )ื’"ื› ,ื˜ ืจื‘ื“ืžื‘( "ึผื•ืขึผึธืกึดื™ ื”ึธื•ื”ึฐื™ ื™ึผึดืค ืœึทืขึฐื• ึผื•ื ึฒื—ึทื™ ื”ึธื•ื”ึฐื™ ื™ึผึดืค ืœึทืข In 5703, 1943, the Frierdiker Rebbe published the statement lโ€™alter lโ€™teshuvah lโ€™alter lโ€™geulah. Everyone was to know that Moshiachโ€™s coming is imminent. Simultaneously, he was instructing chassidim to establish more mosdos and build new houses and centers for Torah and chesed. They were confused and wondered about this enthusiasm in building etc. What is the point of investing in long term projects if Moshiach is coming soon? The Frierdiker Rebbe explained that the answer lies in the Torah, Parshas Behaโ€™alosecha. During the forty years in which the Yidden traveled through the desert on the way to Eretz Yisroel, they made many stops. Each time they stopped, by Hashemโ€™s instruction, they were to set up the mishkan. When they would leave, the mishkan would be disassembled and carried with them until the next stop. There it would be assembled once again. There were times when they camped for very lengthy periods of time, such as the nineteen years they camped in Kadeish. There were also times when they camped for just one night. At each stop the mishkan was assembled from scratch with all its beams, sockets, and curtains. The Yidden could have asked: Why should we bother to set up the whole mishkan, a time consuming and difficult process, when in a few hours the sign may be given to travel on. Then the mishkan, which we just worked so hard to build will be taken apart again! The answer is that setting up the mishkan was a commandment of Hashem. It therefore had to be performed fully and properly, irrelevant of the time it will remain standing. We do not analyze and judge Hashemโ€™s will, but rather we perform it entirely. This should also be our attitude towards the Geulah. We Yidden, as maโ€™aminim bโ€™nei maโ€™aminim, completely believe that Moshiach is coming each day. At the same time, however, this should not take away from fulfilling Hashemโ€™s will right now, in its fullest sence, even if it is a long term project. One has nothing to do with the other. We must continue to do Hashemโ€™s will now with our full enthusiasm and commitment, based on what Hashemโ€™s will is presently. Aharon's sole purpose, his avodah, was to serve in the mishkan. Therefore, when the mishkan was dedicated without his involvement, he was truly disappointed. The Rebbe from this derives a hora'ah in avodas Hashem which is very applicable to our time - the final days of golus. When a Yid sees other Yidden who are kuching in Moshiach and he is not involved, it should truly disappoint him! The Yid should do everything in his ability to join this group to bring Moshiach now! Below, we present the Rebbe's corrections on this part of the sicha.
