Process Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Process Essay" may seem deceptively simple at first glance.
After all, the subject revolves around explaining a process, step by step, making it appear
straightforward. However, the real challenge lies in effectively conveying the intricacies of the
chosen process, maintaining clarity, and engaging the reader throughout.
To begin with, selecting the right process is crucial. It should be something that can be broken
down into manageable steps, yet not too elementary that it becomes mundane. Striking this
balance requires careful consideration and often involves brainstorming various ideas before
settling on the most suitable one.
Once the process is chosen, outlining the essay becomes the next hurdle. Creating a logical flow
that guides the reader seamlessly from one step to the next requires thoughtful organization.
Each step must be clearly defined, and the transitions between them should be smooth to ensure
the reader can easily follow the progression of the process.
Moreover, the language used in a process essay needs to be precise and unambiguous. Clarity is
paramount, and any ambiguity can lead to confusion, undermining the entire purpose of the
essay. Striking a balance between being informative and maintaining reader engagement can be a
delicate task.
Additionally, one must consider the target audience. The level of detail and technicality should
align with the readers' familiarity with the subject. Balancing simplicity and complexity to cater
to a diverse audience adds another layer of challenge.
Editing and revising play a significant role in the essay writing process. Ensuring that each step is
accurately described, eliminating redundancies, and refining the language for clarity are all
essential steps. This requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to step back and critically
evaluate the essay as a whole.
In conclusion, while the concept of a process essay may seem uncomplicated, the actual process
of crafting one involves numerous challenges. From selecting the right process and creating a
logical structure to choosing appropriate language and considering the audience, each step
demands careful attention. However, with patience, dedication, and a focus on refinement,
navigating these challenges becomes more manageable.

Gender Segregation Of Canada s Labor
Ever since the 1929 Person s case, women were recognized as equal in the eyes of
the law and this was revolutionizing. This is the first time in Canadian history where
a certain social group stood up for what they believed in because, women wanted to
be treated as equals. In today s society we do recognized women to be just as equal as
men, but this does not pertain in Canada s labor force because women are still
being treated unfairly in regards to fair wages and the possibility of being able to
work any job around Canada. Gendersegregation in our labor market can be
explained as, not being able to receive that same treatment as the opposite sex. This
is because women are stereotypically looked at as a weaker gender; they expect
women to work part time jobs, and the unfair wagegap between women and men.
Firstly, because women are thought to be a weaker gender, their access to jobs
diminishes because women are looked at for only being good in raising children.
Employers find male workers to be more beneficial in regards to any job because men
are looked more as a stronger and smarter than woman. For Example, we find it
frowned upon when we see a femaleconstruction worker, or a firefighter; this I
because as men we think that women are not strong enough or capable to accomplish
the tasks within these jobs. It is stated that large scale factory production was a
growing separation between the work that men and woman did. Men were drawn into
the industrial wage labor

Informative Essay On Shonda Rhimes

If you don t get The Catch of your dreams and your marriage is a Scandal, there
will come a time when you will need to know How To Get Away With Murder. If
not then you will hide behind Grey s Anatomy, but the coroner will get a hold of you
and then your life will be totally Off The Map!
If you haven t guessed by now, we are referring to the legendary Shonda Lynn
Rhimes, a young woman who is talented and wildly successful beyond her years.
Born only 47 years ago on January 13, 1970, Shonda Rhimes is an American
television producer, screenwriter and author. She is best known as the creator, head

She gently reminds us to feel the hum, and become the hum . So what is this
elusive hum ? Shonda wants us to embrace this hum because she says it makes
everything good. I don t think anyone has seen or captured this essence, but there
is a concept similar to this in the academic literature flow . In his bestselling book
Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience (Csikszentmihalyi, 1990), the author
reveals that any experience becomes genuinely satisfying if you re in a state of
consciousness called flow . In this state, you experience profound and deep
enjoyment and creativity. This state is as close to the hum as we can get. Of
course, Shonda Rhimes wants to upstage Mr. Csikszentmihalyi because her
definition of the hum is on a higher plane than the simple flow state. Shonda tells
us the hum is music, drugs, God whispering in your ear, telling you to strive for
greatness at any cost (Rhimes, 2014). Yes, that sounds so much better than flow .
If you want the same level of success as Shonda, then never let go of the hum .
Because if you do, you instantly know that you are overworked and burned out.
And when you lose the hum, like Shonda once did, you will ask If the song of your
heart ceases to play, can I survive this silence? . Your very survival is now at

Essay On John Deere s Steel Plow
A person once said one thing leads to another, everything is connected. Everything
is connected in some way such as Oklahoma and John Deere s steel plow. Those
two are related because both of them have something to do with agriculture
because the plow tills the land and Oklahoma is filled with cattle ranches and
farms. Also Rulon Gardener a farm boy/ olympian grew up using things like the
plow to work and till the land. Another example is that Dale Earnhardt jr. a

Fear is a chemical chain reaction in the brain. It is in the part of the brain that
allows us to communicate and to speak with other people ( Layton, Julia ). The
idea is an autonomic response in the brain with many parts of the brain involved.
Fear starts with a scary stimulus and ends with a fight or flight response telling the
human to fight back or run away. It starts with two processes the quick and messy
way, and the clear and slow way ( Layton, Julia ). The quick way is when you are
panicking and out of breath and the clear way takes a while and is when you calm
down and realize it was nothing. Both of the processes happen simultaneously (
Layton, Julia ). The brain uses your blood stream and nervous system to create fear.
When your muscles tighten and your heart races, you are probably in a state of fear.
Without fear you would walk into traffic or pick up poisonous snakes. Fear saves our
lives ( Layton,

Samsung also has a strong customer loyalty to its brand which can be a strong barrier
to the new entrant. According to the (Anonymous, 2009) Mikah Martin
Cruz, marketing director of Samsung Electronics UK claims that nurturing the
customers brand loyalty to samsung is the main pillars of marketing direction. The
threat of substitute for Samsung may be due to the similar phones with more
advanced feature that are usually of competitor brands like the Apple iphone,Huawei
etc.Price also may play a role in chances of substitution when a competitor brand
provides the same feature with a relatively low price. Due to the rapid growth in
technology the smart phones are likely to be substituted more advanced technologies.
(Boult, 2015) claims that smart phones may not exist in another five years as
consumers are getting interested in Virtual Reality VR.The power of consumers is
high as there are varieties of smart phones available in the market. In case of
Samsung too consumer has the power to bargain and have choices of different
varieties of phone with same features and relatively low prices. The Power of
supplier is low for Samsung because Samsung has its own supplier for most of the
components. Samsung supplies its own raw material and also manufactures its own
processor and its components.
Advertising In The Super Bowl
Advertising in the Super Bowl has many shades of meaning. It does what you

Delaware River Pollution And Its Effects
Imagine an Earth devoid of clean rivers with no inland marine life or readily
available freshwater. This situation may arise if humanity does not volunteer to end
its polluting tendencies. Initially, each individual should focus on taking steps
towards decontaminating his or her nearest water body. For those living in
Delaware, this is the Delaware River, which is in need of drastic reform. The
Delaware River . . . is the fifth most polluted river in the country, according to a
report released . . . by Environment New Jersey (Augenstein). However, this obstacle
did not arise spontaneously. A recognized problem by the early eighteenth century,
Delaware River pollutionremained a serious issue for the next 300 years and mostly
stemmed from rapid population growth and booming industrial activities (
Delaware River Water Quality ). As the years progressed, Delawareans continuously
disregarded the Delaware River, and it is now immensely besmirched as a result of
accumulating neglect for the river. Because of this, Delaware waters continued to
befoul past the threshold of safety. Delaware waterways are currently unsafe for
commercial use due to the presence of pollutants and parasites like Giardia and
Cryptosporidium in the river that can cause significant health problems, especially in
individuals with weakened immune systems ( Delaware ). The polluted Delaware
River, sullied by companies despite the Clean Water Act, may cause a decline in
Delaware s marine life, human

Mark Twain, a Racist?Mark Twain was a man that was way ahead of his time. In a
time when people were judged on color,Mark Twain grew up in Florida, Missouri
(Mandelbrot, Twain). In Missouri and Louisiana combined there were less than one
half a million white persons (Chang, Twain p. 21). Which meant the black population
was abundant. While growing up Twainhad no telegraph, no railroads, no stage lines
of any consequence (Twain, www.marktwain.com). Also maps were scarcely ever

at age thirteen Twain dropped out of school. Because he grew up in a port city he
had more job opportunities. His jobs consisted of numerous printing jobs and a
river pilots apprentice, and then later on he became a licensed river pilot in 1858.
Clemens pseudonym, Mark Twain comes from his river pilot days. All the games
and the daily talk concerned fanciful semi African conditions and strange primal
possibilities. The children of that time believed in spells and charms and bad luck
signs, all learned of their Negro guardians. But if the Negroes were the chief
companions and protectors of the children, they were likewise one of their
discomforts. The greatest real dread children knew was the fear of meeting
runaway slaves. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is considered to be one of
Twain s masterpieces. The book is about a boy named Huck, who flees from his
father by rafting down the Mississippi River with a runaway slave, named Jim. The

camels is to educate the public. Those two examples are not the only tragedies.

Breakdown of Septemberl 11 Terrorist Attacks
On September 11, 2001, a series of terrorist attacks were directed for the United
States by means of four hijacked planes. Two of which hit the twin towers of the
World Trade Center, one hit the Pentagon, the headquarters of the Department of
Defense, and the fourth crashed in a field near Pittsburg after it was meant to hit the
White House. The terror spread in the United Statesand brought concern and fear to
the citizens. The impact of these terrorist attacks caused serious and detrimental
damages within the country, and their result on the people were enormous; insecurity,
helplessness, and susceptibility spread. Especially after the release of a videotape in
which Osama Bin Laden, head of Al Qaeda, admitted that he was responsible for the
terrorist attacks. Hence, President George W, Bush declared the war on terror
against all terrorists in the Arab world, specifically Afghanistan and Iraq. In the
following paper, we will be discussing how the war on terror was waged, its effects
on the target countries, and how it was perceived by political thinkers, where some
saw it as a conspiracy theory against the Arab countries, and others believed the USA
was the victim.

two forms, dubbed, where voice actors put the words spoken into English, or
subtitled, where the original dialogue is kept and the English equivalent is shown
across the bottom of the screen. Subtitled seems to keep more to what is actually
being said, but some of the puns can be hard to understand while dubbed canmake
the dialogue make sense and sound funnier. In the end, it s really just a matter of

What makes anime so cool? It s really hard to describe, but yet thousands of people

founded on college campuses and increasingly at high schools. Many clubs watch and

Male Hysteria In The 1800s
When the male doctors of the 1800s first introduced the idea of male hysteria, they
made great concessions. The attitudes, actions, and personality traits associated with
males during that time period were so vastly different from the present day. They
were thought to be the sole provider, protector, strong, and self reliant no displays of
weakness or submissiveness were allowed. Contradictions between established
physicians and neurologists debated in the medical world whether or not it existed.
In Hystories: Hysterical Epidemics and Modern Media by Elaine Showalter, she
writes that Jean Martin Charcot, who was also known as the founder of modern
neurology , stated that hysteria was determined by hereditary determinants. By

Willis, who was known for his part in neurology and psychiatry in the 1600s,
focused on a different body part of the human body the brain. Mind and body met
somehow and interacted in and through the brain and the nervous system, and the
animal spirits that Willis viewed as commanding and controlling the body were
powerful agents whose derangement could be invoked to explain all manner of
illness and pathology (Scull 25). The animal spirits would be considered in
contemporary day, the nerve impulses; Willis essentially distances himself from

History Of Mental Health wrote about Joseph Raulin. Roughly translated, Raulin
wrote a book in the 1700s titled Vaporus Sex Disorder that described hysteria as a
disease caused by foul air of big cities and unruly social life ; furthermore, he states
that men and women can suffer from this disease, but women are further predisposed
for their natural condition of being lazy and irritable (Cecilia et al. 4). By writing this
piece, Raulin further perpetuates the sexism, stereotypes, gender roles, and classism.

Lifeboat Ethics Research Paper
Lifeboat ethics, that not everyone has the equal opportunity to things in life. The
analogy that hardin use was a lifeboat and spaceship. Like if you need to save 150
people and about majority will be the people are poor and there s only 100 spots on
the lifeboat and of course they re going to take the rich first and so leave about 50
poor people to die and I think the everyone should be able to fair and equal
opportunity to get on the boat and a fair chance at life because everyone deserves

Abuse Of Power In High Schools
It is not easy for youth to imagine a realm that is existential outside of parental
control. Little do they know that each time they close the door to their mothers mini
vans or step off of the bus and on to school grounds, they enter one. Of course, there
are adults present on the campus as well, but even their ascendancy is rendered
useless in the stratified hierarchythat the students have constructed. Within the walls
of a high school, there is an entire power structure that exists unbeknownst to those
who have out grown it, despite living through it themselves. While the exact details
and levels of these hierarchies may vary from school to school, the overall effect is
the same: teens discover an outlet to demonstrate authority and find... Show more

In order of social status, they were the preps, the jocks, the wannabe preps, the
general population (which included nerds and any outliers whose cliques were
undefined), and lastly were the individuals labeled freaks by those of higher status.
When I started high school, I almost immediately noticed the status and power of the
girls who were part of the preppy clique. Even without being actively informed,
everyone seemed to be conscious of their esteem, and this was not lost on me.
During an interview I conducted with former classmate Blake LeBlanc, I asked
him if he was aware of a status system on our campus to which he replied. Ha! Of
course... I blind man could have seen it. You just knew who was elite and who
was... well... not so elite. Furthermore, he was aware of his own status and clique
without ever being told what they were. I was a nerd, obviously. I got good grades
without cheating and people always wanted to sit next to me during a test , laughed
LeBlanc, and I don t think it had anything to do with my personality.
The power that the preps had gained was highly sought after and envied by many.
Quite noticeably, some girls aspired and attempted to become preps, failing time
and time again. Everyone knew who was a prep and who was an imitator, and the
preps made sure of this seemingly effortlessly. Labeled the wannabe preps , these
girls were ignored by most, pitied by some, and mocked by those who they
endeavored to emulate. ...as far as the wannabes, [students] were either unconcerned,
sympathetic, or if you were part of the elite, they were frustrated and confused
All About My Mother And Art Spiegelman
Pedro AlmodГіvar s film, All About my Mother and Art Spiegelman s graphic novel
Maus, both attempt to make sense of the ways in which trauma shapes families. Both
texts portray trauma as a divisive force between parents and children, however the
expression of that division is variable. While Maus portrays trauma as purely
divisive, All About my Motherdemonstrates that trauma can create as well as destroy
familial relationships. The two texts reconvene on the idea that the passage of trauma
from parents to children serves as a means of recovery from trauma and pain.
In both narratives, distance between parents and children is created because of a
traumatic experience unique to the parent. In All About my Mother, this distance is

Manuela s withdraw into a vague response and her unwillingness to discuss the
trauma and events which are so significant to her and EstebГЎn s lives highlights the
distance created between parent and child through this suffering.
Trauma still behaves as an alienating force in Maus. However, the distance between
Artie and Vladek is expressed in the form of Artie s guilt, rather than insensitivity,
about Vladek s trauma. While discussing his struggle to retell Vladek s story with
his wife Françoise, Artie states, I can t even make any sense out of my relationship
with my father...How am I supposed to make any sense out of Auschwitz? ... of the
Holocaust?... When I was a kid I used to think about which of my parents I d let the
Nazis take to the ovens if I could only save one of them... I usually saved my mother.
Do you think that s normal? (14). The fact that Artie can t comprehend his
relationship to Vladek indicates his lack of understanding, and therefore distance
from his father. Spiegelman s subsequent questioning of how he is to understand the
Holocaust and Auschwitz, and his use of the same sentence structure in voicing those
questions demonstrates the parallels between these two ignorances and underscores
the causal relationship between misunderstanding his father and his ignorance of
Ricketts Glen State Park Waterfalls
There are 24 named waterfalls in Ricketts Glen State Park in the U.S. state of
Pennsylvania along Kitchen Creek as it flows in three steep, narrow valleys, or
glens. They range in height from 9 feet (2.7 m) to the 94 foot (29 m) Ganoga Falls.
Ricketts Glen State Park is named for R. Bruce Ricketts, a colonel in the American
Civil War who owned over 80,000 acres (32,000 ha) in the area in the late 19th and
early 20th centuries, but spared the old growth forests in the glens from

The Negative Effects Of Technology On Education
In our world, technology has marked its own impact in our society. Since the birth of
the digital age, technology has only advanced and has lessened many difficulties
previously imposed on earlier centuries. Whether noticeable or not, technology is
connected to every single action and transaction in our world today. Mechanics,
purchasing, communications, agriculture, and education are few fields where
technology have been implemented in. Technology has awarded consumers the
opportunity to purchase items from any location, allows for the exchange of
information through individuals, and led to productivity and accuracy in the
agricultural field. However, the use of technology has been misunderstood in its
relationship with education. Opponents of technology in terms education can state
that it is the primary cause that literacyrates have decreased in recent years, since
technology can distract from literacy development or academic engagement. The
question arises is technology detrimental to literacy development and engagement or
is it beneficial. Should technology and the digital age be reevaluated in its
effectiveness in literacy development and academic engagement? Absolutely,
technology should be reevaluated in effectiveness in literacy development due to the
fact it provides more opportunities then barriers. When evaluating ideas, we should
look at the pros and the cons; and if the pros outweighs the cons the ideas should be
accepted as the influential. Technology has made literacy development more
adaptable, led to the development of new literacy skills such as critical thinking and
research skills, while providing personal instruction. A benefit of technology in
literacy development is that it can reach students with learning disabilities or
challenges than traditional texts. Students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia,
or ADHD are not able to sit down over a long period of time and read a traditional
text due to challenges imposed. To properly gain an understanding of a text time
must be spent with the existing knowledge of some words. Students or persons in
general with dyslexia are unable to understand words we common take for granted

Bed And Breakfast Of Indi Emerging Opportunities
Bed and Breakfast in India Emerging Opportunities

Chapter One
Introduction to the concept of Bed and Breakfast stay
Hotel s stays followed by other accommodation are essential for a traveler visit. This
gave rise to a new concept known as Bread and Breakfast. The term Bed and
Breakfast first evolved in England, Scotland and Ireland whereas terms such as
paradors, pensions, gasthaus, minskukus, shukukos and pousados have been
widely used by various Americans and Europeans. B B have been recognized in
many well known countries like Europe and USA since ages. Therefore, it is to
believe that B B is not a new concept. According to studies, Monasteries used to
serve bread and breakfast (spending nights in native people houses rather than hotels)
for travelers and they still do in some parts of the world.
Understanding B B: Definitions
The subsequent definitions are used by the American Bed Breakfast Association:
B B Home Stay: A private, owner occupied residence in visitors is incidental to the
primary use of the building as a private residence. One to five guest rooms are made
available to transient visitors and provide supplemental income for hosts. Breakfast
is the only meal served and is included in the charge for the room.
B B Inn: A commercially licensed business operated in a building that primarily
provides overnight accommodations to the public even though the owner may live
on the premises. Guest rooms for a B B Inn range
Critique Of The Cadian Ball
During the late 1800s, many new ideas came with the industrial revolution. With
these ideas came thoughts on how to change the way our sociality was working.
Writers especially brought out the opinions of they these radical ideas, by writing
and spreading these ideas. At the Cadian Ball fails to advocate a change in the
social system, by mixing races and classes, but at the same time, and supports the
norm of marring someone of your own class, by have all four of the main characters
marry into the same class.
Within the story all the characters speak the same language, giving everyone an equal
ground, showing that everyone has something in common. During the story the
narrator tells us, They belonged to the younger generation, so preferred to speak
English. (Chopin 6). This tells us that they all speak the same language, with shows
that they are all similar, but we can also infer that because they state that they do this
because they are younger, that the older generations, did not do this and strengthened
the divide between classes by speaking different languages.
The Cadian Ball advocates a change in the social class by featuring multi class and
race couples, but does not fully support the statement by having the characters
marry others of their class. They talked low, and laughed softly, as lovers do. (6)
Alcee and Calixta are stated as lovers, even though this is the 1800s, there is a
mixed race couple, but the story doesn t portray this negative. They also show
Tivo Case Summary
TiVo is one of the many digital video recorder systems that is used to record an
individual s favorite television episodes and or series. Using this type of recording
system eliminates the interruptions that one would have while watching the program
live e.g. commercials. Furthermore, with this option, customers have the ability to
utilize many different recording features such as pausing, fast forwarding, and
playback. By TiVo implementing these features, it is solely creating a unique and
customized televisionexperience for their customers. The company has many factors
that facilitate its adoption. These factors include customeraccessibility, which views
the idea that individuals can access their desired content at their own convenience
rather than having to watch when it airs. Based on the target audience being
individuals that own televisions, which are primarily adults 20+ who are in the work
force, the idea of having this service is very accommodating for someone with a
strenuous schedule. Controversially, there are factors such as age that also limit the
adoption of this system. As this system is more technically... Show more content on

Due to the nature of TiVo, I believe that it would be most beneficial for the company
to review alternative options in regard to their partnerships. Rather than sourcing
through companies such as AOL or DirectTV, TiVo has the capability of expanding
and gaining loyalty from a greater audience than they would if they were to be paired.
Furthermore, if the company were to affiliate with another company, their brand
would become less recognized from the start. However, if TiVo were to start
independently, it would be pivotal for them to start with a strong sales promotion
strategy and to exemplify what differentiates themselves from their top

Fate Quotes In The Time Of The Butterflies
The Path to Having Fate
Fate determines each person s will that believe it is meant to happen. In the book, In
the
Time of the Butterflies by Julia Alvarez, the four Mirabal sisters lived under
Trujillo s rule before they were killed after joining the revolution. The death of the
three sisters was caused by fate because their lives were being controlled by another s
human hand, which was Trujillo, to have fewer choices for them to choose their own
path.
The three sisters had live with no freedom but to suffer in pain because a person
with no freedom can t have the power to speak for their rights. For example, I m not

And we are rudely woken up. No chance of mistaking even for a minute where I

quote represents that Minerva suffers her life by being in jail because of joining the
revolution. Since Trujillo controls the three sister s fate, Minerva doesn t have the
choice of not going to jail and suffer. Her fate leads her to
this path because since she s against Trujillo, she wants her to take the blame and not
her family.
Therefore, her fate determines her life in which she has limited of choices to

and leads them to the wrong path. Tell the Mirabal family in Salcedo that the calies

Taking a Look at the Cold War
Prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor and United State s involvement in World War II,
we remained an isolationist country. Once World War II ended, the United States left
isolationism behind and began a quest to abolish communism during the Cold War,
involving many nations. Although the success of the containment policy in South
America and Asia was not identical, each were beneficial in decreasing communism
during the Cold War. Throughout the Cold War, communistic governments were
rising all over the world. In South American and Asia, blood was shed by those on
both sides of communistic views. Attempts were made on the lives of non
communistic leaders, some which did succeed, in an attempt by the communistic to
take over a countries government. With the help of neighboring countries; the United
Statesaided South America and Asian countries were supported by neighboring Asian
countries; most protestors were able to overthrow their communist governments and
gain their county back. In 1979, thick communism was brewing for the United State
s neighbor, Central America. A leftist group, called Sandinistas, had overthrown the
long reigned dictator of Nicaragua. Carter was president at the time and had turned a
blind eye to the event in order for a good relationship to remain between the United
States and the new Nicaraguan government. President Reagan, however, was not so
sycophant and accused the Sandinistas of recreating Nicaragua to be a military base
for communistic forces
Violence And Violence In Anthony Burgess s A Clockwork
Orange
Similarly, the character of Alex McDowell and his actions are presented with
methods comparable to that of Bonnie and Clyde. Stanley Kubrick stresses the
violence in A Clockwork Orange as a way to show the full extent of his harmful
maniacal ways. Narration alone can only tell us so much about his personality and isn
t able to comprehensively encompass the significance of the violence attributed to
Alex. It isn t until we see the crimes being committed in vivid detail that we are able
to recognize the true nature of Alex s moral extent. This illustrates him as the
character he is meant to be as per the novella written by Anthony Burgess. We learn
through wide angle shots of the moments leading up to the raping of a helpless
woman, that Alex is entirely comfortable with the sadistic action and even finds it
amusing. Upward facing camera angles that specifically place his face as the focal
point are used during this scene and many others like it to enunciate his sinister
appearance. They are used to show that as a person, Alex enjoys these all to
pernicious behaviors. The excessive realness of the scenes only supports our
understanding of his lack of humanity. Alex s aggressiveness is magnified by the
way he senselessly beats the old man under the bridge and the husband of the raped
woman. Incorporating an undisturbed shot of him doing so allows it make a greater
impact on the audience s perception of the character. Just as in Bonnie and Clyde,
violence is shown with no
Migration In The Great Migration
The neoclassical economic theory sees migration as a consequence of
irregularities in the supply and demand of labor in different areas. The
Neoclassical theory insinuates that migrants relocate from one place to another
with the intention of maximizing their income. People tend to move from counties
where wages are low and labor is plentiful relative to capital to those where the
opposite is the case (Castles, 566). Emphasis is put on personal determinations to
relocate based on logical observations of the costs and rewards associated. The
journey of African Americans from the Southern States to the North during The
Great Migration is linked to the neoclassical theory due to wages and the shortage
of labor; in order for African Americans to obtain better wages, they needed to
relocate to the Northern and Western cities. During both World Wars, when America
sent her sons to battle and desperately needed laborers for the war factories, African
Americans filled the depleted factories and the supply and demand balance of
laborers was materialized. The Oxford Handbook of African AmericanCitizenship,
1865 Present narrated the economic aspects of African Americans by tracing the
historical development of African American economic experiences, starting from the
dawn of Reconstruction onward, and shed light on the consequences concerning the
economic marginalization of blacks in the south during The Great Migration. The
discriminatory system of Jim Crow s south led to lower

Differences Of Kantianism And Utilitarianism
In this paper, I will discuss how Kantianism and Utilitarianism would have
oppositional views on the decision to break protocol in order to save a child life.
Ethical Dilemma:
A child is brought into the emergency department by his mother. The mother is
yelling that her child is not breathing. The nurse runs over and takes the child, runs
inside the emergency room and yells for a doctor. No doctor has arrived, but another
nurse comes into the room and both nurses begin CPR on the child. The nurses talk
to one another and agree that the child needed to be intubated immediately in order to
survive. However, the doctors were unavailable. The first nurse to respond to the
mother decides to intubate the child even though intubation is outside of her scope of
practice and she could be fired for performing the intubation. The nurse intubated the
child successfully and the child is in a stable condition after the intubation.
Utilitarianism:
Utilitarianism is a consequentialist philosophy: the righteousness and wrongness of
actions dependon the result of the actions, not the intent of the actions. Actions are
right if they maximize happiness and decrease pain. It is important to maximize
happiness as a collective, not just maximize happiness the pleasure individually. For
example, there are opportunities in which sacrificing one s own happiness is
acceptable if it results in a greater value of happiness in a community. A Utilitarian
can calculate the net worth of actions by calculating the pain and pleasure it each will
create. However, during events where there is not enough time for calculation, we
can just rely on the rule of thumb, which are basic (common sense) rules, such as not
murdering, lying, or cheating.
Response to action:
An Act Utilitarian would argue that saving the child life was the correct action
because the life of a child outweighs the pain that could result if the nurse lost her
license. There would be a greater amount of pain if the nurse did not intubate the
patient. A child would have died, the mother would have to grieve losing her child,
and the healthcare workers would be distraught because they were unable to save the
child, even though they had the resources and knowledge to do so.
There Should be a Financial Incentive for People to Recycle
There are many compelling reasons to recycle, for instance, recycling saves energy,
benefits the economy, conserves resources, and is better for wildlife yet the
majority of Americans do not recycle. According to the Environmental Protection
Agency, only thirty eight percent of Americans profess to be avid recyclers. This is
an alarming statistic given that the average American generates 4.4 pounds of trash
a day. As a nation this country produces approximately 250 million tons of trash
every year. Only thirty five percent of the millions of tons of trash collected
annually in the United States is recycled. There are a myriad of reasons given by
those who do not recycle. For example, some Americans consider recycling
inconvenient,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, the recycling industry creates jobs since companies are needed to collect
and process the recycling. The U.S. Recycling Economic Information Study reports
almost 1.1 million people work in the more 56,000 recycling and re purposing
industries across the country. Recycling is beneficial for the environment in many
ways for example, it reduces the
Pollution caused by landfill, limits wildlife habitat destruction, and conserves
energy which saves natural resources. Landfills produce greenhouse gasses and
release toxic chemicals, therefore less trash in the landfill means less of these
harmful substance are released. Also, recycling decreases the need for raw
materials, which means less habitat destruction occurs and there is a reduction in
global warming. Creating new products from raw materials uses much more
energy than recycling an old product into something new does. Nationally,
approximately thirty eight percent of Americans recycle, which saves the country
1.5 quads of energy per year. Because one quad of energy equates to one quadrillion
or thousand trillion of bauxite that means a total savings of 1,5 % in national
yearly energy usage occurs. In 2010 for example, 85 million tons of solid waste was
recycled or composted which saved more than 1.3 quadrillion bauxite s worth of
energy, which is equal to 229 million barrels of oil.

Environmental Challenges Of The Tampa Bay Area
Current environmental challenges in the Tampa Bay Area
There are many areas in Tampa that will be unfortunately underwater. As we saw with
the heavy rains in late 2015, the most vital areas such as Westshore Ave, South
Tampa, Bayshore Ave, and even Downtown had major flooding causing delays in
traffic and safety anxieties. While the flooding only lasted a few days, the event
brought attention to the Tampas faulty infrastructure and drainage systems. An
alarming thought is how Tampa will be able to protect itself from a storm or the
rising sea levels if the drainage systems are inadequate. The Tampa Bay area is due
for a natural disaster any day now; the coastal area is highly vulnerable. According
to Sara Kerr, One place that we have to look carefully at is Tampa where there is a
huge concentration at risk from a storm surge, but there hasn t been an event for
150 years and so the city is fairly complacent about its risk (2015). A possible
catastrophe can pose as an environmental challenge in Tampa Bay as the highly
populous areas will not be able to withstand rising sea levels that will occur.
The location of the main general hospital in the city was clearly not chosen with
sustainability in mind. Tampa General Hospital, one of the highest rated hospitals in
Florida, is located on low lying Davis Island connected to Downtown Tampa by two
narrow bridges. When the city experiences tropical storms, this area is susceptible to
extreme flooding. Typically, locals can find
Taking a Look at the Tertiary Period
The Tertiary Period began 65 million years ago and ended just 1.8 million years ago.
It was made up of 5 different epochs. Paleocene epoch that was 65 to 54 million
years ago. Eocene epoch that was 54 to 38 million years ago. Oligocene epoch 38 to
24 million years ago. Miocene epoch 24 to 5 million years ago. Pliocene epoch 5 to
1.8 million years ago.
Tertiary is the third era. During the Tertiary period placement of the continents were
different than were they are located today. There were only the Pacific Ocean,
Atlantic Ocean, and the Indian Ocean. Continents were North America, Greenland,
northern Europe, Asia, and Iberia. Climate change from the beginning to end was
very significant. During the beginning the earth was warm and moist compared to
the weather now. By the middle of the period earth started to cool. This was cause
by volcanoes that kept giving off carbon dioxide. After a while by the end of this
period it was so cold that the last ice age had started. However this had to be the
most important time period for mammals. The time period before Tertiary which was
the Cretaceous period. The Cretaceous period ended with the extinction of dinosaurs,
large reptiles, and many different others. After all the extinction of the other animals
mammals became the dominant species on Earth. This is why the Tertiary Period is
called the age of mammals. There are to unusual mammals that we have researched
on from this period that were

this essay. But first, I would like to clearly explain what the word allegory means
by giving some examples from well known fables. One of the best examples is the
Little Red Riding Hood. I imagine that most of the people in this world knows about
this fable. This story is translated in to many languages, in many different countries...

The book having two levels entertains both the mature and younger readers. This is
why this book is read in variety of generations. A 4th grade student can enjoy this
book, and also a grown up adult will probably enjoy this book by thinking deeply
about what this book is really signifying. So, the simpler level of the book
introduces the young readers the joy of reading. The animals represent different
people in the book Animal Farm. Moses claimed to know the existence of a
mysterious country called Sugarcandy Mountain In the quote above, it explains how
Moses tries to convince everybody in to believing about the wonderful world
Sugarcandy Mountain. Sugarcandy Mountain is just like a paradise for the animals
to go to after their death. Sugarcandy Mountain is signifying heaven, and Moses
represents religion. This means any religion. Like Moses representing religion, in this
book, all the characters represent something or somebody in the Russian revolution.
But this book means more. Although this book is based on the Russian revolution,
this book is not only about the Russian revolution. The clearest example of this is
Napoleon and Snowball. Napoleon represents Stalin. Stalin and Napoleon were both
tyrant leaders, who received all the profit with out producing things by them selves.
On the other side was Snowball who represents Trotsky.

Assessment 2: Written Assignment
Submitted by: Prince Jose Sebastian
Gambling and other process addictions are disorders that arise when a person
engages in an action that can be satisfying, but the constant use of which becomes
obsessive and inhibits normal life responsibilities, such as work, relationships, or
health. Addicted people may not be conscious that their behavior is out of control and
is creating difficulties for themselves and the others (DuPoint, 1997). Process
addictions are dependent on a practice, such as gambling, eating, spending, sex, and
working. Sometimes, people have difficulties accepting that this behaviour is an
addiction, and they tend to possess a confidence that they can definitely stop this
compulsive behaviour. Process addictions are considered difficult to overcome than
substances addiction, such as drugs and alcohol.
Gambling is generally defined as risking something of value on the outcome of an
event when the probability of winning or losing is determined by chance (Korn
and Shaffer 1999). Gambling problems affect people from all types of
backgrounds. However, demographic risk factors include being of Maori or Pacific
ancestry, being 18 44 years old, having less educational qualifications, being
unemployed, and living in a neighbourhood of high deprivation. According to
department of Internal Affairs, legal gambling has become increasingly accessible in
New Zealand over the last 20
Essay on Industrial Revolution
Question 1) What was the industrial revolution? When did it occur? How did
industrialisation lead to the creation of the design profession? How was the industrial
manufacturing of making products new and what role did the designer play in
creating new products?
The Industrial Revolution, which took place from the 18th to 19th centuries, was a
period during which rural societies in Europe and America became industrial and
urban. (www.history.com 2013 08 22)
Prior to this the manufacture of goods was often done in peoples homes using their
hands, or basic machinery the designer also created the product. Industrialisation
shifted this, with the introduction of powered special machinery, factories and mass
production. Many everyday ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

My Life Span Development Class
On February 17, 2016, our Life Span Development class observed the physical,
cognitive, and social development of Asher, a 5.5 month old male. The observation
was conducted at Dordt College in room CL2260 and the infant s parent consented to
participate in the live observation. Asher was quite sick and later saw a doctor, so the
findings of this report may not entirely represent Asher s development.
Asher was 5 weeks along when his mother, Abby, found out she was pregnant.
Asher is the third child and has a 4 year old sister and a 3 year old brother. Abby
tried to eat as healthy as she could during her pregnancy to ensure that Asher would
be as healthy as possible. Thus, she avoided lunchmeats, seafood, and soft cheeses.
At 20 weeks, Abby had an ultrasound, in which no structural abnormalities were
found. Since this was her third child, Abby chose not to take part in prenatal
counseling. Labor lasted only about an hour, and Asher was born by Cesarean
Delivery like his two siblings. Asher was born on September 2nd, 2015, weighing
7lbs., 10oz. at a length of 21 inches. These are both above average for both height and
weight of newborns in North America but within two standard deviations of the
average (Santrock, 2014). At 5.5 months, Asher weighs 17 pounds. This is about the
normal weight, for Asher is on pace to triple his birth weight by age one (Santrock,
2014).
In terms of reflexes, Asher is mostly on pace with the average 5.5 month old, but
there are a few reflexes that
The Human Body in Art
In my understanding and opinion, the body in art was the starting point for any
king of art form. As some people have said, art may have actually started with the
body, such as the decoration of the body shown for example in Zulu when they used
to paint their faces with natural colours in order for them to create camouflage and
catch and kill their prey. In many ways, art is for the humanexperience and the
experience of being here, the presence, which is shaped with the representation of
the human figure. A body can convey class, age, gender and sexuality. The Bamana
Twin Figures (Mali, 20th Century Figure 1) is the representation of the Man and
the Woman, a very powerful expression of male and female. Even though both their
faces are exactly the same, the parts of the body can reveal the discrimination:
genitalia, breasts and even hair. The reason why Egyptian art has not changed and
looks very similar since 1479 1425 BCE up until now is very intentional; they are
trying to maintain their cultural tradition in which argues for stability. The Egyptian
pharaoh Akhenaten (Figure 2) is unusual compared to other Egyptian figures, such
as the traditional King, which has broad shoulders and muscular body. Akhenaten is
a lot softer and that encouraged people to think and believe that the body was
portrayed in such way because of some sort of illness or disease, but Egyptian art
was all about the concept and not the reality, it was just the idea of how it used
Banning Advertisements Affecting Children
Our goverment shouldn t ban ads effecting children. Without these ads, they would
never learn how to become effective consumers. Children need to be taught to see
ads for what they really are, attempts to sell a product. Teachers and arentshould be
activly involved in doing so, because ads are a very important part of our economy.
Sure they aren t all that good, but it s what makes companies money. Show ads
instead that promote healthy eating, or playing outside with friends with the toy
they are selling. Not ones that show candy, or a kids stuck inside playing video
games. Young minds are easily influenced and see more than a thousand ads a year.
Make a positive impact. Ads shouldn t be banned becasue businesses will begin to

The State Of Nature Is An Important And Relevant...
Erich Harkema
Prof. Wolfe
10/1/14
Intro: The state of nature is an important and relevant philosophical idea that has
been discussed and debated for a long time. The reason it is such a key topic in
philosophy is it delves into the reasoning behind why man had to create political
society. In order to properly understand the philosophy of the state of nature it is
important to look at conflicting viewpoints about it in order to understand it with less
bias. Thomas Hobbes and Jean Jacques Rosseau both have differing viewpoints
regarding the state of nature. Hobbes feels that man s natural state is cowardly,
fearful, almost paranoid, so man created political society in order to protect himself.
Rosseau, on the other hand, feels that man was much happier before political society
was created. Their viewpoints differ regarding the state of nature, man s phase after
leasing their state of nature, and the basis and legitimacy of the social contract.
Hobbes and Rousseau s views on man s state of nature are quite different. Hobbes
feels that man is naturally brutish, and constantly in a state of misery due to the fact
that everyone else is your adversary and may act as they see fit. Due to this natural
state, anyone could simply kill you in your sleep, like the coward that they naturally
are. Hobbes felt that because man did not understand good and evil, man responds
with violence or panic: Hobbes maintains that man is naturally intrepid and seeks
only to attack and fight...And
What Is Industrialization In China
First is necessary to clarify that the Chinese government (Christiansen Rai,1988:214)
tried to determine the economy by ideology. However, Mao ideas did not work at all
and kept China as an underdeveloped country contrast to Xiaoping who clarified the
challenges and did enormous reforms to rise chinas economy to one of the world
leaders. But these economic reforms also developed unfamiliar problems for China.
What the whole world deals with till nowadays. At present China is paying huge cost
environmentally and socially for these developments (Tang et al.,2015) the economic
developments and employment stability clashing with the environmental pollution
and the people needs for higher living standards, and it leads to an ecological... Show

Nowadays, the most critical issue is the water supply unsustainable usage. The
companies do not adopt the existing technology to clear the water, their wastewater
returns into the river (Economy, 2010) with no consequences. This water is toxic to
the plants, human consumption even for industrial use. Inapprehensible, why they do
not take account of their interests. Irresponsible water usage causing water shortages
than the cities are drying out (Economy,2010). Local governments realized it is more
economical to use the technology to clear their own water than get it from
contaminated rivers. On the other hand, it is also causing food shortages which is
why China rely on imported grain is increasing.
Another important environmental issue is the air pollution. This problem causing
worldwide and domestic problems for China. In the last 30 years of industrial
development, China became a net coal importer of the world (Tang et al.2015) but
the production of energy is increasing. Especially, the outcomes on the
environmental, economic levels are forcing the interest for sustainable developments
(Hu et al.,2013). However, it takes a long time to see its benefit. Meanwhile, it is
questionable how long China can use coal (Lin Liu,2010), as an option China tries to
participate in the oil and gas industry. The world feeds China hunger for energy
supplies which is worsening the international energy security. In addition,
The Penultimate Truth
The book The Penultimate Truth by Philip K Dick was written in 1964 and is set
in the 21st century. World War III was being fought over the United States, so the
general population was forced to move into underground silos to survive. This entire
operation is run by a man named Stanton Brose; to aid in persuading the public to
move underground and stay there while the war was happening, fake documentaries
were made to pose the threat of a nuclear attack to the civilians and a realistic robot
of their former president, Talbot Yancy, has been feeding them instructions on what to
do. It is been 15 years since the population has seen the surface, and Talbot Yancy
only demands more leadies, war robots that have been fighting instead of humans.

After being attacked by his leadies, he meets David Lantano who agrees to help
him find the artiforg pancreas he came to the surface looking for. Unfortunately,
Brose is the one who holds the monopoly over all the artiforg organs, as they are
expensive and he personally needs them to continue living. Lantano takes Nicholas
back to his home where he has a meeting with Foote and Adams to discuss the
earlier murders; Foote also brings an artiforg for Nicholas. Lantano reveals to the
men that he was the one behind the killings and he had received the power to live
forever from one of the artifacts that Brose placed in the past. His plan was to kill the
men linked to Brose s plan, kill Brose, and then take his place so he could let up all
the people from the silos. Adams is apprehensive about working with Lantano, but he
and Foote reluctantly agree to help him take down Brose. Lantano sends Adams out,
continuing to flesh out the plan with Webster Foote. Rather than heading to Brose to
potentially try and execute him, Adams changes his mind and goes with Nicholas
back down into his silo in hopes of hiding from both Brose and Lantano. Joseph
Adams wants the people living in the silos to be let up, but he doesn t believe that
Lantano is the best man to run the world. When Talbot Yancy comes on the screen
announcing that the people in the silos are allowed to come up, Nicholas and Joseph

Why Do You Use Self Storage
There are many reasons why you might decide to use self storage, from looking to
create more space for living to temporarily have no home at all while shifting. Here
are some of the main reasons why you might choose to use self storage.
Reasons Why You Need a Self Storage
Selling a home
When selling your property it s sometimes best to remove some of the clutter and
excess belongings around the home to make your home look more presentable. This
will help create the illustration that there is more living space and create a favourable
impression on your potential buyer. Self storage is great in this situation as you can
temporarily store your excess items until your house has sold. Real estate agents will
often suggest you de clutter your home in order to create more interested buyers and
a higher selling price and using mobile storage is a great way to do that. ... Show more

Some self storage facilities offer a free no obligation quote at your home to accurately
assess the storage space you will need and can even provide a removal solution.
Other (mobile storage companies) will pick up the items from your home and store
them for you then deliver them when needed to your new home.
People who collect everything:
If your the type of person who holds on to things for sentimental reasons or because
you may need an item sometime in the future self storage is a great option.
Traditionally we were taught to hang onto everything by our parents and grandparents
as they lived in times when things were tough and resources were scarce. Today,
however, with the rapid turnover of technology and electronic devices many of this
items accumulate in the home unnecessarily. Many people use self storage to store
these extra items so they can collect items without the hassles at home.

Confucius and Confucianism Essay
One of the most famous people in ancient China was a wise philosopher named
Confucius (circa
551 479 BC). He was a great Chinese philosopher, educator, and political figure. His
teachings and
proverbs are in the Analects, which is the base of many Chinese theories. He was born
in the village of Zou, and the state of Lu. His father died three years after Confucius
birth leaving the
family in destitution, but Confucius did have a decent education. He was married at
the age of 19 and had
one son and two daughters.
He worked as a keeper of a market. Then he was a farm worker who took care of
parks and farm
animals. When he was 20, he worked for the governor of his province. After a while
he decided to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Confucius had, however, never gotten a chance to put his theories to a public test
until he was
appointed magistrate of Chung tu, at the age of 52. The very next year he became
the minister of crime of
the state of Lu. His control was successful, reforms were introduced, justice was fairly
distributed, and
crime was lowered greatly. Lu become very powerful. Many other people were
jealous and envied all the
great changes Confucius had been able to make in such a short time. A highranking
ruler of a neighboring
state made sure that Confucius got dismissed. Confucius left his office in 496 BC,
traveling about and
teaching, helplessly hoping that some other noble would allow him to undertake
measures of reform. In 484
BC, after a failed search for an ideal ruler, he returned for the last time to Lu.
Confucius was then abandoned from his province and he wandered about China for
13 years.
When Confucius was 69 years old, her returned to his home state, and he died there 3
years after settling
in Lu 479 BC.
Yet, when the philosopher died, many people honored all of Confucius work by
building temples
in every city in China to honor Confucius. Since Confucius teachings and philosophy
was so advanced, it
was the education for China for 2,000 years. Confucius had few simple morals, to
honor one?s parents and
ancestors, to do what is right rather than what is of
Swan Dance Analysis
1.The most interesting thing that I saw from the video about the pointe shoes. I
had not realized how personalized and specific each dancer s shoes were. It was
interesting that a dancer can feel in her shoe when the maker made a minor change
or mistake. The dancer who is talking throughout the clip mentions how she sews
her own shoes. I would think that would be difficult, but she said it only takes
about 5 minutes. I was also surprised to learn that the dancers go through one pair
of shoes per day and would also use a new pair for performances. The amount of
money that the New York City Balletspends on shoes per year was quite a lot, at half
a million dollars.
Another interesting thing I found was how many types of dance there are. Through
the reading I learned that there multiple types of ballet. It was easy to see the
differences in the ballets in the video clips. For example, the Joffrey Ballet dancers
had a much more contemporary style than the dancers from Swan Lake. The Swan
Lake dancers were classic ballet and they told a story with their movements. Joffrey
Ballet did not tell a story but made Prince s music even more interesting. Their dance
did not tell a story, but instead aided the music and made it more interesting.
2.My favorite form of dance was classic ballet. I loved that their movements in Swan
Lake told the story without having to use words. Even without knowing much about
it, I was still able to understand what was happening during the clips
Effects Of War Between Passion And Responsibility In
Ethan...
In the novel, Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton the recurring theme of the classic war
between passion and responsibility is advertised. In 1885 Edith married Edward
Robbins Wharton. She was 23. Edward was from a good family and was of the same
social class as Edith, but he was 12 years older than she was. Ethan Fromestruggles to
make a living as a farmer while his wife Zeena whines and complains about her
imaginary sickness. When Zeena s destitute cousin, Mattie Silver comes to live with
the Ethan and Zeena, the growing friendship between Ethan and Mattie arouses
Zeena s jealousy, and she evicts Mattie from the house. The theme of the novel is
effects of isolation. In the novel, Ethan s passion for Mattie takes over his
responsibility for Zeena.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He never really had to work hard on looking presentable to Zeena because he had
no competition. But with Mattie things were different. He had Denis Eady to
worry about. Someone who was instred in Mattie. Someone younger than him.
Zeena, apparently accepting this as final, lay watching him in silence while he
pulled his suspenders over his shoulders and jerked his arms into his coat; but as
he went toward the door she said, suddenly and incisively: I guess you re always
late, now you shave every morning. (Wharton Chapter 1) Ethan starting to shave
everyday makes me think that he is trying to improve his appearance. He is trying
to look young. He is trying to gain Mattie s attention. His need to feel like he is
important and loveable is coming before his responsibility towards Zeena. Before
Mattie came into Ethan s life, he had nothing to fight for. He knew that one way or
another Zeena would get what she wants but with Mattie it was different. He knew
that she was his only chance at happiness and the fact that Zeena could take that away
from him did not settle well with
The Importance Of A Student s Education And That May...
A factor that I feel is vital for a student s education and that may benefit a teacher is
the factor of assessments. Assessments is a method in which teachers use to evaluate,
measure, and document the progress students have made. While assessments are
usually equated with traditional testing teachers may also use a diverse array of
assessment methods to measure a students progress in any class. Assessments are
usually created to measure specific elements of learning wither its cognitive,
psychomotor or affective. Assessment may also be used to see the level of
knowledge a student may already have on a concept or a skill that the teacher is
planning on teaching. Assessments are also used to identify individual student
weaknesses and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You are also able to provide parents with evidence in their child s progress or the lack
of progress the child is making. After assessing students the teacher may modify there
instruction to a students need. It may also encourage teachers to assess there own
teaching and the adjustments they may need to make to enhance there teaching. By
holding teachers responsible for assessing students, teachers understand they need to
provide a higher quality of education. As we see a higher emphasis on assessments and
the accountability on teachers. We are now required to provide evidence of student s
achievements (Rink Williams, 2003). We can provide these achievements with hard
copies of assessments taken by the students. Earlier in the paper I had mentioned the
two assessments commonly used through out schools. Another assessment that is
highly used in physical education is authentic assessment, which was promoted by
Grant Wiggins (1989). This sort of assessment places students in real world problems
which students may use skills and knowledge to solve these issues (Jacalyn Lund,
1997). There are about 15 forms of authentic assessments. These forms are teacher
observation, self observation, checklists, demonstration, peer observation, event task,
group projects, student projects, oral discourse, student log and etc. With Mitah
(2003) statistical findings we can see that 100% of the teachers in every grade level

Analysis Of A Sand County Almanac By Aldo Leopold
A Sand County Almanac Paper In 1949, Aldo Leopold published the book A Sand
County Almanac , a book which written as a firsthand explanation of the natural
resources and beauties that the Earth has to offer. This book dives into the issues
surrounding the disregard for natural wildlife and the need for conservation in order
for the natural world to progress and keep thriving. Leopold also talks about different
seasons and the beauty of individual animals he comes across, and how their survival
is a feat in itself. The importance of environmental conservation and the need to treat
naturewith care is a vibrant concept that will be explained throughout this paper, as
well. This accounting of A Sand County Almanac will accurately describe... Show

Land ethic asks that we include nature when we think about what we do as
individuals or as a community, and that we do what is ethically correct for not just
ourselves but also for the sake of the environment. The Bible also reflects this view,
as God asked Adam to be the caretaker of the Garden of Eden by giving him the
purpose of cultivating and protecting the land. Adam was able to, in a sense,
incorporate the concept of land ethic by considering his actions and making ethical
choices when taking care of the Garden as God had told him to. Also, the excerpt
from Proverbs proved that ethically sound individuals care for the needs of the
animals; most humans would not neglect other people they take care of, such as
children or parents, so taking care of an animal should be no different. Incorporating
animals into the household is essentially the concept Leopold was trying to explain,
as nature (the animal) becomes a part of the community (the household). A Sand
County Almanac also describes the need for conservation and appreciation of nature.
The simplistic beauty of nature cannot be appreciated with there is no concept of
land ethic in the world, as many aspects of nature would be threatened of quite
possibly destroyed. We, as humans, have the seemingly divine opportunity to care for
this land and be
Similarities Between Rome And Roman Art
From a style perspective, both the art of the Late Antique/Early Christian period in
Rome and art from the Byzantine were very distinct in details and styles. The Roman
empire and the Byzantine empire were both impacted by Christianity, which is their
main religion. Roman art was mainly influenced by the Greeks, Egyptian, and
Etruscan art, which can be seen in the history of Roman art. Unlike, the Byzantine
favoriting glitter mosaicpainting in the interior of a building, mosaic were very
popular and hold a religious value towards the empire. The mosaic depicting Christ
as the Good Shepherd from the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia in Ravennawith the
other mosaics from San Vitale in Ravenna are excellent examples of the difference
and similarities between Roman and Byzantine art. These images can also explain
the representation of the natural world, difference in the art styles, and use of
mosaics in church. The Christ as the Good Shepherd from the Mausoleum of Galla
Placidia in Ravenna is an example of Roman art from Late Antique. The location
for the mosaic is very interesting itself; Mausoleum of Galla Placidia in Ravenna is
in a shape of a cross and contain many mosaics intact. The reason why this mosaic
was painted because of the adaptation of Christianity at Rome caused an increase of
art displaying Christ. This Rome art explores human nature by showing Jesus Christ
as a carpenter s son becoming a holy divine figure. There is a vast blue background
indicating the

Process Essay. The Essay Writing Process Essays Citation

  • 1. Process Essay Writing an essay on the topic of "Process Essay" may seem deceptively simple at first glance. After all, the subject revolves around explaining a process, step by step, making it appear straightforward. However, the real challenge lies in effectively conveying the intricacies of the chosen process, maintaining clarity, and engaging the reader throughout. To begin with, selecting the right process is crucial. It should be something that can be broken down into manageable steps, yet not too elementary that it becomes mundane. Striking this balance requires careful consideration and often involves brainstorming various ideas before settling on the most suitable one. Once the process is chosen, outlining the essay becomes the next hurdle. Creating a logical flow that guides the reader seamlessly from one step to the next requires thoughtful organization. Each step must be clearly defined, and the transitions between them should be smooth to ensure the reader can easily follow the progression of the process. Moreover, the language used in a process essay needs to be precise and unambiguous. Clarity is paramount, and any ambiguity can lead to confusion, undermining the entire purpose of the essay. Striking a balance between being informative and maintaining reader engagement can be a delicate task. Additionally, one must consider the target audience. The level of detail and technicality should align with the readers' familiarity with the subject. Balancing simplicity and complexity to cater to a diverse audience adds another layer of challenge. Editing and revising play a significant role in the essay writing process. Ensuring that each step is accurately described, eliminating redundancies, and refining the language for clarity are all essential steps. This requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to step back and critically evaluate the essay as a whole. In conclusion, while the concept of a process essay may seem uncomplicated, the actual process of crafting one involves numerous challenges. From selecting the right process and creating a logical structure to choosing appropriate language and considering the audience, each step demands careful attention. However, with patience, dedication, and a focus on refinement, navigating these challenges becomes more manageable. For those seeking assistance with essay writing or similar tasks, various services are available. One such option is HelpWriting.net, where you can find support for a range of writing needs. • 3. Gender Segregation Of Canada s Labor Ever since the 1929 Person s case, women were recognized as equal in the eyes of the law and this was revolutionizing. This is the first time in Canadian history where a certain social group stood up for what they believed in because, women wanted to be treated as equals. In today s society we do recognized women to be just as equal as men, but this does not pertain in Canada s labor force because women are still being treated unfairly in regards to fair wages and the possibility of being able to work any job around Canada. Gendersegregation in our labor market can be explained as, not being able to receive that same treatment as the opposite sex. This is because women are stereotypically looked at as a weaker gender; they expect women to work part time jobs, and the unfair wagegap between women and men. Firstly, because women are thought to be a weaker gender, their access to jobs diminishes because women are looked at for only being good in raising children. Employers find male workers to be more beneficial in regards to any job because men are looked more as a stronger and smarter than woman. For Example, we find it frowned upon when we see a femaleconstruction worker, or a firefighter; this I because as men we think that women are not strong enough or capable to accomplish the tasks within these jobs. It is stated that large scale factory production was a growing separation between the work that men and woman did. Men were drawn into the industrial wage labor

Informative Essay On Shonda Rhimes A Snapshot of a Visionary If you don t get The Catch of your dreams and your marriage is a Scandal, there will come a time when you will need to know How To Get Away With Murder. If not then you will hide behind Grey s Anatomy, but the coroner will get a hold of you and then your life will be totally Off The Map! Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She gently reminds us to feel the hum, and become the hum . So what is this elusive hum ? Shonda wants us to embrace this hum because she says it makes everything good. I don t think anyone has seen or captured this essence, but there is a concept similar to this in the academic literature flow . In his bestselling book Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience (Csikszentmihalyi, 1990), the author reveals that any experience becomes genuinely satisfying if you re in a state of consciousness called flow . In this state, you experience profound and deep enjoyment and creativity. This state is as close to the hum as we can get. Of course, Shonda Rhimes wants to upstage Mr. Csikszentmihalyi because her definition of the hum is on a higher plane than the simple flow state. Shonda tells us the hum is music, drugs, God whispering in your ear, telling you to strive for greatness at any cost (Rhimes, 2014). Yes, that sounds so much better than flow . If you want the same level of success as Shonda, then never let go of the hum . Because if you do, you instantly know that you are overworked and burned out. And when you lose the hum, like Shonda once did, you will ask If the song of your heart ceases to play, can I survive this silence? . Your very survival is now at

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fear is a chemical chain reaction in the brain. It is in the part of the brain that allows us to communicate and to speak with other people ( Layton, Julia ). The idea is an autonomic response in the brain with many parts of the brain involved. Fear starts with a scary stimulus and ends with a fight or flight response telling the human to fight back or run away. It starts with two processes the quick and messy way, and the clear and slow way ( Layton, Julia ). The quick way is when you are panicking and out of breath and the clear way takes a while and is when you calm down and realize it was nothing. Both of the processes happen simultaneously ( Layton, Julia ). The brain uses your blood stream and nervous system to create fear. When your muscles tighten and your heart races, you are probably in a state of fear. Without fear you would walk into traffic or pick up poisonous snakes. Fear saves our lives ( Layton,

The threat of substitute for Samsung may be due to the similar phones with more advanced feature that are usually of competitor brands like the Apple iphone,Huawei etc.Price also may play a role in chances of substitution when a competitor brand provides the same feature with a relatively low price. Due to the rapid growth in technology the smart phones are likely to be substituted more advanced technologies. (Boult, 2015) claims that smart phones may not exist in another five years as consumers are getting interested in Virtual Reality VR.The power of consumers is high as there are varieties of smart phones available in the market. In case of Samsung too consumer has the power to bargain and have choices of different varieties of phone with same features and relatively low prices. The Power of supplier is low for Samsung because Samsung has its own supplier for most of the components. This situation may arise if humanity does not volunteer to end its polluting tendencies. Initially, each individual should focus on taking steps towards decontaminating his or her nearest water body. Since the birth of the digital age, technology has only advanced and has lessened many difficulties previously imposed on earlier centuries. Whether noticeable or not, technology is connected to every single action and transaction in our world today. Mechanics, purchasing, communications, agriculture, and education are few fields where technology have been implemented in. Technology has awarded consumers the opportunity to purchase items from any location, allows for the exchange of information through individuals, and led to productivity and accuracy in the agricultural field. However, the use of technology has been misunderstood in its relationship with education. Opponents of technology in terms education can state that it is the primary cause that literacyrates have decreased in recent years, since technology can distract from literacy development or academic engagement. The question arises is technology detrimental to literacy development and engagement or is it beneficial. Should technology and the digital age be reevaluated in its effectiveness in literacy development and academic engagement? Absolutely, technology should be reevaluated in effectiveness in literacy development due to the fact it provides more opportunities then barriers. When evaluating ideas, we should look at the pros and the cons; and if the pros outweighs the cons the ideas should be accepted as the influential. Technology has made literacy development more adaptable, led to the development of new literacy skills such as critical thinking and research skills, while providing personal instruction. A benefit of technology in literacy development is that it can reach students with learning disabilities or challenges than traditional texts. Students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, or ADHD are not able to sit down over a long period of time and read a traditional text due to challenges imposed. • 29. Taking a Look at the Cold War Prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor and United State s involvement in World War II, we remained an isolationist country. Once World War II ended, the United States left isolationism behind and began a quest to abolish communism during the Cold War, involving many nations. Although the success of the containment policy in South America and Asia was not identical, each were beneficial in decreasing communism during the Cold War. Throughout the Cold War, communistic governments were rising all over the world. In South American and Asia, blood was shed by those on both sides of communistic views. Attempts were made on the lives of non communistic leaders, some which did succeed, in an attempt by the communistic to take over a countries government. With the help of neighboring countries; the United Statesaided South America and Asian countries were supported by neighboring Asian countries; most protestors were able to overthrow their communist governments and gain their county back. In 1979, thick communism was brewing for the United State s neighbor, Central America. A leftist group, called Sandinistas, had overthrown the long reigned dictator of Nicaragua. Carter was president at the time and had turned a blind eye to the event in order for a good relationship to remain between the United States and the new Nicaraguan government. President Reagan, however, was not so sycophant and accused the Sandinistas of recreating Nicaragua to be a military base for communistic forces
  • 30. Violence And Violence In Anthony Burgess s A Clockwork Orange Similarly, the character of Alex McDowell and his actions are presented with methods comparable to that of Bonnie and Clyde. Stanley Kubrick stresses the violence in A Clockwork Orange as a way to show the full extent of his harmful maniacal ways. Narration alone can only tell us so much about his personality and isn t able to comprehensively encompass the significance of the violence attributed to Alex. It isn t until we see the crimes being committed in vivid detail that we are able to recognize the true nature of Alex s moral extent. This illustrates him as the character he is meant to be as per the novella written by Anthony Burgess. We learn through wide angle shots of the moments leading up to the raping of a helpless woman, that Alex is entirely comfortable with the sadistic action and even finds it amusing. Upward facing camera angles that specifically place his face as the focal point are used during this scene and many others like it to enunciate his sinister appearance. They are used to show that as a person, Alex enjoys these all to pernicious behaviors. The excessive realness of the scenes only supports our understanding of his lack of humanity. Alex s aggressiveness is magnified by the way he senselessly beats the old man under the bridge and the husband of the raped woman. Incorporating an undisturbed shot of him doing so allows it make a greater impact on the audience s perception of the character. Just as in Bonnie and Clyde, violence is shown with no
  • 31. Migration In The Great Migration The neoclassical economic theory sees migration as a consequence of irregularities in the supply and demand of labor in different areas. The Neoclassical theory insinuates that migrants relocate from one place to another with the intention of maximizing their income. People tend to move from counties where wages are low and labor is plentiful relative to capital to those where the opposite is the case (Castles, 566). Emphasis is put on personal determinations to relocate based on logical observations of the costs and rewards associated. The journey of African Americans from the Southern States to the North during The Great Migration is linked to the neoclassical theory due to wages and the shortage of labor; in order for African Americans to obtain better wages, they needed to relocate to the Northern and Western cities. During both World Wars, when America sent her sons to battle and desperately needed laborers for the war factories, African Americans filled the depleted factories and the supply and demand balance of laborers was materialized. The Oxford Handbook of African AmericanCitizenship, 1865 Present narrated the economic aspects of African Americans by tracing the historical development of African American economic experiences, starting from the dawn of Reconstruction onward, and shed light on the consequences concerning the economic marginalization of blacks in the south during The Great Migration. The discriminatory system of Jim Crow s south led to lower

  • 33. Differences Of Kantianism And Utilitarianism In this paper, I will discuss how Kantianism and Utilitarianism would have oppositional views on the decision to break protocol in order to save a child life. Ethical Dilemma: A child is brought into the emergency department by his mother. The mother is yelling that her child is not breathing. The nurse runs over and takes the child, runs inside the emergency room and yells for a doctor. No doctor has arrived, but another nurse comes into the room and both nurses begin CPR on the child. The nurses talk to one another and agree that the child needed to be intubated immediately in order to survive. However, the doctors were unavailable. The first nurse to respond to the mother decides to intubate the child even though intubation is outside of her scope of practice and she could be fired for performing the intubation. The nurse intubated the child successfully and the child is in a stable condition after the intubation. Utilitarianism: Utilitarianism is a consequentialist philosophy: the righteousness and wrongness of actions dependon the result of the actions, not the intent of the actions. Actions are right if they maximize happiness and decrease pain. It is important to maximize happiness as a collective, not just maximize happiness the pleasure individually. For example, there are opportunities in which sacrificing one s own happiness is acceptable if it results in a greater value of happiness in a community. A Utilitarian can calculate the net worth of actions by calculating the pain and pleasure it each will create. However, during events where there is not enough time for calculation, we can just rely on the rule of thumb, which are basic (common sense) rules, such as not murdering, lying, or cheating. Response to action: An Act Utilitarian would argue that saving the child life was the correct action because the life of a child outweighs the pain that could result if the nurse lost her license. There would be a greater amount of pain if the nurse did not intubate the patient. A child would have died, the mother would have to grieve losing her child, and the healthcare workers would be distraught because they were unable to save the child, even though they had the resources and knowledge to do so.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, only thirty eight percent of Americans profess to be avid recyclers. This is an alarming statistic given that the average American generates 4.4 pounds of trash a day. As a nation this country produces approximately 250 million tons of trash every year. The U.S. Recycling Economic Information Study reports almost 1.1 million people work in the more 56,000 recycling and re purposing industries across the country. Recycling is beneficial for the environment in many ways for example, it reduces the Pollution caused by landfill, limits wildlife habitat destruction, and conserves energy which saves natural resources. Landfills produce greenhouse gasses and release toxic chemicals, therefore less trash in the landfill means less of these harmful substance are released. Also, recycling decreases the need for raw materials, which means less habitat destruction occurs and there is a reduction in global warming. Creating new products from raw materials uses much more energy than recycling an old product into something new does. Nationally, approximately thirty eight percent of Americans recycle, which saves the country 1.5 quads of energy per year. Because one quad of energy equates to one quadrillion or thousand trillion of bauxite that means a total savings of 1,5 % in national yearly energy usage occurs. In 2010 for example, 85 million tons of solid waste was recycled or composted which saved more than 1.3 quadrillion bauxite s worth of energy, which is equal to 229 million barrels of oil.

While the flooding only lasted a few days, the event brought attention to the Tampas faulty infrastructure and drainage systems. An alarming thought is how Tampa will be able to protect itself from a storm or the rising sea levels if the drainage systems are inadequate. The Tampa Bay area is due for a natural disaster any day now; the coastal area is highly vulnerable. According to Sara Kerr, One place that we have to look carefully at is Tampa where there is a huge concentration at risk from a storm surge, but there hasn t been an event for 150 years and so the city is fairly complacent about its risk (2015). As some people have said, art may have actually started with the body, such as the decoration of the body shown for example in Zulu when they used to paint their faces with natural colours in order for them to create camouflage and catch and kill their prey. In many ways, art is for the humanexperience and the experience of being here, the presence, which is shaped with the representation of the human figure. A body can convey class, age, gender and sexuality. The Bamana Twin Figures (Mali, 20th Century Figure 1) is the representation of the Man and the Woman, a very powerful expression of male and female. Even though both their faces are exactly the same, the parts of the body can reveal the discrimination: genitalia, breasts and even hair. The reason why Egyptian art has not changed and looks very similar since 1479 1425 BCE up until now is very intentional; they are trying to maintain their cultural tradition in which argues for stability. The Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten (Figure 2) is unusual compared to other Egyptian figures, such as the traditional King, which has broad shoulders and muscular body. Akhenaten is a lot softer and that encouraged people to think and believe that the body was portrayed in such way because of some sort of illness or disease, but Egyptian art was all about the concept and not the reality, it was just the idea of how it used

  • 46. The State Of Nature Is An Important And Relevant... Erich Harkema Prof. Wolfe 10/1/14 Intro: The state of nature is an important and relevant philosophical idea that has been discussed and debated for a long time. The reason it is such a key topic in philosophy is it delves into the reasoning behind why man had to create political society. In order to properly understand the philosophy of the state of nature it is important to look at conflicting viewpoints about it in order to understand it with less bias. Thomas Hobbes and Jean Jacques Rosseau both have differing viewpoints regarding the state of nature. Hobbes feels that man s natural state is cowardly, fearful, almost paranoid, so man created political society in order to protect himself. Rosseau, on the other hand, feels that man was much happier before political society was created. Their viewpoints differ regarding the state of nature, man s phase after leasing their state of nature, and the basis and legitimacy of the social contract. Hobbes and Rousseau s views on man s state of nature are quite different. Hobbes feels that man is naturally brutish, and constantly in a state of misery due to the fact that everyone else is your adversary and may act as they see fit. Due to this natural state, anyone could simply kill you in your sleep, like the coward that they naturally are. Hobbes felt that because man did not understand good and evil, man responds with violence or panic: Hobbes maintains that man is naturally intrepid and seeks only to attack and fight...And

  • 52. Swan Dance Analysis 1.The most interesting thing that I saw from the video about the pointe shoes. I had not realized how personalized and specific each dancer s shoes were. It was interesting that a dancer can feel in her shoe when the maker made a minor change or mistake. The dancer who is talking throughout the clip mentions how she sews her own shoes. I would think that would be difficult, but she said it only takes about 5 minutes. I was also surprised to learn that the dancers go through one pair of shoes per day and would also use a new pair for performances. The amount of money that the New York City Balletspends on shoes per year was quite a lot, at half a million dollars. Another interesting thing I found was how many types of dance there are. Through the reading I learned that there multiple types of ballet. It was easy to see the differences in the ballets in the video clips. For example, the Joffrey Ballet dancers had a much more contemporary style than the dancers from Swan Lake. The Swan Lake dancers were classic ballet and they told a story with their movements. Joffrey Ballet did not tell a story but made Prince s music even more interesting. Their dance did not tell a story, but instead aided the music and made it more interesting. 2.My favorite form of dance was classic ballet. I loved that their movements in Swan Lake told the story without having to use words. Even without knowing much about it, I was still able to understand what was happening during the clips
  • 53. Effects Of War Between Passion And Responsibility In Ethan... In the novel, Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton the recurring theme of the classic war between passion and responsibility is advertised. In 1885 Edith married Edward Robbins Wharton. She was 23. Edward was from a good family and was of the same social class as Edith, but he was 12 years older than she was. Ethan Fromestruggles to make a living as a farmer while his wife Zeena whines and complains about her imaginary sickness. When Zeena s destitute cousin, Mattie Silver comes to live with the Ethan and Zeena, the growing friendship between Ethan and Mattie arouses Zeena s jealousy, and she evicts Mattie from the house. He never really had to work hard on looking presentable to Zeena because he had no competition. But with Mattie things were different. He had Denis Eady to worry about. Someone who was instred in Mattie. Someone younger than him. Zeena, apparently accepting this as final, lay watching him in silence while he pulled his suspenders over his shoulders and jerked his arms into his coat; but as he went toward the door she said, suddenly and incisively: I guess you re always late, now you shave every morning. (Wharton Chapter 1) Ethan starting to shave everyday makes me think that he is trying to improve his appearance. He is trying to look young. He is trying to gain Mattie s attention. His need to feel like he is important and loveable is coming before his responsibility towards Zeena. Before Mattie came into Ethan s life, he had nothing to fight for. He knew that one way or another Zeena would get what she wants but with Mattie it was different. He knew that she was his only chance at happiness and the fact that Zeena could take that away from him did not settle well with
  • 54. The Importance Of A Student s Education And That May... A factor that I feel is vital for a student s education and that may benefit a teacher is the factor of assessments. Assessments is a method in which teachers use to evaluate, measure, and document the progress students have made. While assessments are usually equated with traditional testing teachers may also use a diverse array of assessment methods to measure a students progress in any class. Assessments are usually created to measure specific elements of learning wither its cognitive, psychomotor or affective. Assessment may also be used to see the level of knowledge a student may already have on a concept or a skill that the teacher is planning on teaching. Assessments are also used to identify individual student weaknesses and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You are also able to provide parents with evidence in their child s progress or the lack of progress the child is making. After assessing students the teacher may modify there instruction to a students need. It may also encourage teachers to assess there own teaching and the adjustments they may need to make to enhance there teaching. By holding teachers responsible for assessing students, teachers understand they need to provide a higher quality of education. As we see a higher emphasis on assessments and the accountability on teachers. We are now required to provide evidence of student s achievements (Rink Williams, 2003). We can provide these achievements with hard copies of assessments taken by the students. Earlier in the paper I had mentioned the two assessments commonly used through out schools. Another assessment that is highly used in physical education is authentic assessment, which was promoted by Grant Wiggins (1989). This sort of assessment places students in real world problems which students may use skills and knowledge to solve these issues (Jacalyn Lund, 1997). There are about 15 forms of authentic assessments. These forms are teacher observation, self observation, checklists, demonstration, peer observation, event task, group projects, student projects, oral discourse, student log and etc. With Mitah (2003) statistical findings we can see that 100% of the teachers in every grade level used teacher
  • 55. Analysis Of A Sand County Almanac By Aldo Leopold A Sand County Almanac Paper In 1949, Aldo Leopold published the book A Sand County Almanac , a book which written as a firsthand explanation of the natural resources and beauties that the Earth has to offer. This book dives into the issues surrounding the disregard for natural wildlife and the need for conservation in order for the natural world to progress and keep thriving. Leopold also talks about different seasons and the beauty of individual animals he comes across, and how their survival is a feat in itself. The importance of environmental conservation and the need to treat naturewith care is a vibrant concept that will be explained throughout this paper, as well. Land ethic asks that we include nature when we think about what we do as individuals or as a community, and that we do what is ethically correct for not just ourselves but also for the sake of the environment. The Bible also reflects this view, as God asked Adam to be the caretaker of the Garden of Eden by giving him the purpose of cultivating and protecting the land. Adam was able to, in a sense, incorporate the concept of land ethic by considering his actions and making ethical choices when taking care of the Garden as God had told him to. Also, the excerpt from Proverbs proved that ethically sound individuals care for the needs of the animals; most humans would not neglect other people they take care of, such as children or parents, so taking care of an animal should be no different. Incorporating animals into the household is essentially the concept Leopold was trying to explain, as nature (the animal) becomes a part of the community (the household). A Sand County Almanac also describes the need for conservation and appreciation of nature. The simplistic beauty of nature cannot be appreciated with there is no concept of land ethic in the world, as many aspects of nature would be threatened of quite possibly destroyed. We, as humans, have the seemingly divine opportunity to care for this land and be

Similarities Between Rome And Roman Art From a style perspective, both the art of the Late Antique/Early Christian period in Rome and art from the Byzantine were very distinct in details and styles. The Roman empire and the Byzantine empire were both impacted by Christianity, which is their main religion. These images can also explain the representation of the natural world, difference in the art styles, and use of mosaics in church. The Christ as the Good Shepherd from the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia in Ravenna is an example of Roman art from Late Antique. The location for the mosaic is very interesting itself; Mausoleum of Galla Placidia in Ravenna is in a shape of a cross and contain many mosaics intact. The reason why this mosaic was painted because of the adaptation of Christianity at Rome caused an increase of art displaying Christ. This Rome art explores human nature by showing Jesus Christ as a carpenter s son becoming a holy divine figure. There is a vast blue background indicating the
