It was 3 am in the morning. I woke up to a shocking phone call. Grabbing my phone. I heard

I did not know what to do. Veronica had told me that Jessica was hit by a drunk driver. The
impact of the car hitting her car flew her body out of the window and she died. The drunk driver
also had died and I did not know how to feel. I could not wrap my brain around it. The police told

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Observation
On April 28, 2017, I attended the School of Music s Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The program last
about two hours and had a ten minute intermission. This non ticketed event was held at Morgan
Hall in the Bailey Performing Arts Center on Kennesaw State University s Kennesaw campus. The
program consisted of three unique musical pieces performed by the renowned Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra.
Before the concert began, I was able to observe the audience members outside of the entrance
doors. Unlike the other Kennesaw State concerts that I attended, there was an extremely large and
diverse crowd dressed formally. The doors opened fifteen minutes before the concert began and an

Public policy and civil rights movements are one of the most talked about subjects to date, many
different actions were taken to bring better rights for those who didn t have any. With the
emergence of activist organizations, they gave black minorities motivations to defend their own
civil rights. Many activist organizations such as: NAACP (National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People) and the SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee)
who fought to end segregation and social inequalities. Many minorities who didn t have the power,
who were afraid or felt like they couldn t do anything, were given hope to try and push for change
in public policy and civil rights. Grassroot Activism contributed in the success of civil rights
movements and change of public policy because of the collaboration of all the organizations and

Since x rays were discovered in 1895, there have been several improvements made to diagnostic x
ray to make it safer for both the patient and the radiographer. Some of these improvements include,
aluminum filters, protective housing, lead shields/ aprons, and quicker exposure film. These
changes have undoubtedly improved the diagnostic radiation process, however both patient and
radiographer will still receive some dose of radiation. The effects of radiation on tissue are divided
into two types: deterministic and stochastic. A deterministic effect describes ionizing radiation
induced damage that occurs once a certain threshold is exceeded and increases in severity the
greater the dose.1. (pg2 3) Some of the more extreme deterministic effects that occur with
exposure to high amounts of radiation in a short period of time are: Skin Erythema/Necrosis,
cataracts, sterility, radiation sickness, and death. Stochastic effects are probabilistic and there is no

religious conflict and turmoil, people were likely confused and fearful of literal apocalyptic
consequences. A more sophisticated allegorical analysis of the piece is instead revealing of Bosch
s conceptual interpretation of the world and reality itself. The title suggests the piece contains
earthly delights , yet the absence of any man like items suggests that Bosch s painting was instead

In basic training, swimming is not an option. All boot camp recruits are measured by performing

Faye G. Abdellah s Legacy
In life one has to take risks in order to bring forth a vision to life. Through risk taking, Faye G.
Abdellah achieved her inner most dreams of furthering the science of nursing research. Faye was a
pioneer nursing researcher that helped transform nursing theory, nursing care, and nursing
education. In 1960, she was influenced by the desire to promote patient centered comprehensive
nursing care. Faye described nursing as a service to individuals, to families and therefore to the
society. She was a rebel from the start in her efforts to promote nursing. Through time, she learned
to disguise her rebellious leadership methods under the title politically correct. Even when faced
with setbacks Faye continued to persevere (Houser Player, 2004).
Throughout Faye s life she demonstrated strong team leadership styles such as her remarkable
courage and determination for pursuing her vision. The courageous risks she took in her
leadership roles were all in an effort to improve patient care throughout the world. For example,
during a visit to the San Diego long term care facility Faye noticed statutory violations and other
evidence of substandard care. During her opening of the conference of the American Health Care
Association, she announced to them that the lack of patient care was unacceptable in the homes
they licensed. The next morning she received recognition from her boss which is the US
Department of Health and Human Services. Faye was applauded
