Mitosis and meiosis are two types of cell division. Mitosis produces two daughter cells that are identical to the parent cell. Meiosis produces four daughter cells that each have half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell, allowing for genetic diversity when these cells are involved in sexual reproduction. The key differences are that mitosis results in two identical cells while meiosis results in four non-identical sex cells such as sperm and egg cells.

These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
