How did you use new media technologies
in the construction and research, planning
and evaluation stages?

2. HDV Camera
From To
To film the whole of my video we used a Canon HV30 camcorder.
This camera is HD and is a vast improvement to Canon MD205 that
we used last year. Having a High Definition camera improved the
standard of our video compared to last year, simply because the
quality of the image on the video is so much better, it makes the
video look much more professional.

3. Final Cut Express
This year we used Final Cut Express again to edit our video, like we did last
year, but this year we used it slightly differently. Last year we edited in one
line, whereas this year we edited in layers. This helped us get all of the lip
syncing perfectly in time and made it easier and more effective when fading
in and out of different clips.

4. Survey Monkey
We used Survey Monkey in the exact same way that we used it last
year. We used it first to gather an idea of what would be our target
audience and to see what they would want included in the video. We
also used it for audience feedback, to see exactly what people from
inside and outside of our target audience felt about our video

5. Photoshop
We used Photoshop to edit our Magazine advert and our Digipak. We used it to
add effects onto pictures we had taken with smart phones and we also used it
to edit things like contrast and lighting to make pictures look similar to each
other. We needed Photoshop to make our Digipak, as we needed to include
many photos into a template. I used Photoshop a lot compared to last year, as it
was a fundamental tool this year, whereas last year it was barely used.

6. Prezi
I used Prezi to answer Question 1 of the Evaluation. This helped
me as it presented my work in a new and interesting way, and it
was different from anything I have used before. As I didn’t use
Prezi last year, it improved the standard of my work substantially
and gave me a clever way to convey the information.

7. Youtube
We used Youtube in a
similar we to what we did
last year. First to look at
other bands that videos,
so we can draw
inspiration from them,
and then to upload our
video and share it with
other people.
