Softwares that i used during the course

1. How did you use new media
technologies in the construction and
research, planning and evaluation
stages?

2. Blogger
• Blogger was one of the most used internet based
software, this is where my daily updates was published
about what we was specifically learning about at that
time or what we was planning to do in the forthcoming
days.
• This was also used to write up what we had learnt in
class and what research and planning we was studying
during that period. This help me during the process
because it kept me up to date on the new knowledge
that I was being learnt and the things that I had to
complete for the music video.

3. Youtube
• Youtube was used a lot through the process of when I
was creating my music video, I was continually using it
for when we was studying the top 100 music videos
that we studied in class to view the videos in for depth
and to try and understand the whole meaning of the
video
• We also used Youtube to embed videos onto our blog
to show the planning of our music video, this was done
because we needed to get some different ideas from
other professional videos that we could maybe use,
develop or challenge in our music video

4. Unsigned
• Unsigned is a very good website, it is for bands or
solo artist to show people their talents in the
music industry, they put their own songs that
they have made hoping for someone to view
their music for a contract.
• We used unsigned because we had to find music
that was not copyright, therefore we was able to
use it with permission from the band members,
in this case we found The 99’s with there song
‘Oh Me Oh My’

5. Survey monkey
• Survey monkey played a big part in our research
and planning of the music video because we had
to find our target audience. At first we had to see
whether people actually watch music videos and
see what they look for in a music video
• We also had to create a survey to found out
whether our Digipak and our Magazine Advert
actually linked to our music video, we would
supply certain questions on the survey to try and
get the answers we needed.

6. Slide Share
• Slide share was used quite a lot during the
construction of the research, planning and
evaluations stages. It was vital that I used
different types of ways of showing information.
• I was always creating power point presentations
so I needed a way in which to upload them to the
blog. This is where slide share helped as you
could upload them onto slide share and then
embed them to my blog.

7. Wordle
• Wordle was a creative piece of software that I
used to show the results of my survey and to
show what answers were given and what was
the most popular answer.
• There was different styles that I could use and
different color's to make it look more creative
and more exciting, this was also another type
of way to show information

8. Da Font
• Da font is a internet based website that is for
downloading different types of fonts to use in
our Digipak and Magazine Advert. There are
thousands of different fonts that are available
to download for free.
• It was mostly used in our group for the
magazine advert as the Microsoft word font
was a little bit too boring
