[Verse 1: Gandhi]
You want to battle wits? see who's a better pacifist
I fought the caste system, but you still cannot touch this
Slumdog skillionaire, first name Messiah
Raps so hot I spit yoga fire
Everything you preach, I said it first
You should just jot down these words, plagiarize my whole verse
Leave your thoughts on the door like the real Martin Luther
I'm not thinking you shall overcome this Junior
[Verse 2: Martin Luther King Jr.]
I'm the King of civil rights from the city to suburbia
No shoes, no shirt, but I'm still gonna serve ya
Make you swallow your words so you can break the fast
Then thank God almighty, you can eat at last
I admire the way you broke the British power
But I have a dream that one day you'll take a shower
Like the H in your name, you ought to remain silent
Flatten your style like bread, Naan-violence
[Verse 3: Gandhi]
You would know about bread, Dr.Birmingham sandwich
Boycott those grits, sit in with some spinach
With protests and women, the same advice goes
Always stay away from the ho's
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

How to Make a Field invisible in Odoo 17Celine George
It is possible to hide or invisible some fields in odoo. Commonly using “invisible” attribute in the field definition to invisible the fields. This slide will show how to make a field invisible in odoo 17.
2. process
For the designing of every
product I used Adobe
Photoshop CS6 and this
has a range of tools and
effects you can use to
make your work better.
Firstly, when you open up
Photoshop and create a new
document you get this:
This allows you to be able
to change the format the
document is in, for
example millimeters,
centimeters or pixels
which are the ones I used
for my variety of
products.
This allows you to set the page size of
the document to make it fit whatever
product size your making. This can be
changed at any time later on if
wanted, just go and press page size in
image along the top bar.
This is where I decided
to choose the page size,
which I continuously
decided to stick with A4
apart from the posters
which had a custom
size.
The move tool allows
you to move around
whatever layer you are
selected on.
These are all of the tools I used in
the space of making my final
products:
The magnetic lasso tool is used instead of the magic
wand tool, only if the background is similar colour to
the image then you have to use this tool and go
around the outline of the shape. For example this was
used when cutting out my t-shirts for the web page
design.
The paint bucket was
used to fill in large
spaces of one colour
like when I created
my skateboard deck
design.
The text tool is used
to type text and I have
only used this in the
posters.
The pencil tool
was used for
when I was
drawing in pixels
which was
decided for my
logo.
You get a huge
colour selection
and then once
chosen you can use
whatever tool you
want to put across
the selected colour
on the page.
I used the rubber tool
when a mistake was
made or I used the
step backwards
option in edit.
The magic wand tool
is used to cut out
images from their
backgrounds. With this button you can create a
new layer so you can make something
different and it doesn’t get in the way
of the other stuff on layers, plus if you
don’t like it you can just delete it.
All the projects that I set out to do
on Photoshop were all finished on
time and look flawless.
3. Process in making my logo
For the logo, I was drawing it in pixels
so I used the pencil tool and set it to
low settings of 1 to 3 which allows
your area brush to become square
and not circular. If you ever make a
mistake then you can easily use the
rubber tool by setting it too block so
you can use it in pixel form.
To make the wings which go behind
the symbol I took some wings of off
Google images and then I drew one
copying the pixels myself on a new
layer and then flipped it so I had one
on either side. I did this by using the
pencil tool and drawing in pixels.
I used an online name generator to create some name ideas
for my logo which would end up going on all of my products
I changed colours on the logo to get
different ideas. These colours where
recommended to me in my survey to
include on the logo and I think they look
great and for different products I can use
different coloured schemed logos.
To get the font I used DaFont and downloaded a pixel
looking font.
My time was spent well
creating the logo but to get
the font that I wanted I had
to wait too download it
which can only be done on
a Pc not a MAC.
I chose to make the logo black
and pixelated because it relates
to the gaming genre which the
audience can relate too and the
dark theme is consistent
throughout my products.
I think that
the logo is
designed
well and
really
works, it is
too the
best of its
ability and
can not be
any better.
4. Process in making my poster
Whilst setting up Photoshop for the making of my poster I used
the page scale 46 x 61 cm and this is the average size for a poster
because I searched it up before the creation of this particular
product.
Once this was done I then copied the background from my style
sheet but instead of it being blue I used the colour grey because
it contrasts better. I then drew the bottom black area by using
the square shape tool constructing it the way I wanted but I had
too make them line up so I used the ruler guidelines. I then
included images up above colouring them completely black by
cutting out the general outline of the character using the
magnetic lasso tool. The text font I used was rosewood and that
is big and bold and then I centered it on the black background
making it white creating a contrast but then I changed that and
instead I used the white logo in the center. I chose to do the
black on the bottom because I think it looked good from the
moment I saw it when I was making my style sheet. The black is
great, it has created contrast. I don’t have a tagline or main
heading for my poster but you can still tell what game it is.
5. Process in making my posterFor starters I create the exact same page size as the previous poster before In Photoshop (46x61). I then
created a new layer and used a gradient overlay in the black to white colour. I used silhouettes on both
posters because in my research I found that lots of existing posters
used this style and it and looked very good. Yet again I used images of
people doing karate and a dragon which are the main focuses to do
with wings quest but unlike my first poster I decided to add in some
Chinese symbols because they relate to the genre and these symbols
say ‘martial arts’. To cut out the silhouettes I used the magnetic lasso
tool to get the shape of them. Finally I put on the title and I went with
quite a simple text and colour because I don’t want it to be the main
focus of the poster. I think that this poster is not as good as the other
products I just had more time on my hands so I decided to create this,
but it could have been done better.
6. Process in making key chains
To start of the process of making this keychain I
used the eclipse tool to draw a circle and then the
logo that I had made first I put it on by using the
place option.
This keychain karate
man was drawn in
pencil in pixels in big
squares of 3x3 and was
completely drawn hand
free using nothing for
tracing.
I used a keychain
image off of google
and filled it all in
too one colour,
which was grey
using the bucket
tool.
I made this keychain longer by copying the
original one and getting rid of the top circle and
placing them together to create a longer chain
than the other 2 designs, I did this for variation.
For the dragon I got an image of one I liked and then I
created a new layer and drew a black outline around the
entire image. Then I chose the colours I wanted. This is
made out of pixels and not in a circle like the logo because
it makes the shape of the keychain so more interesting.
I decided to create 3 key
chains because each
one is unique and all
together they explore
all the aspects of the
game.
I decided to make this pixel dragon
because it not a simple shape it goes in
and out and has complex colours.
The key chains are excellent and really bring out the
colours and style of the game. However the characters
could use some writing on them or the logo otherwise
people may not be able to know what game its from.
7. Process for t-shirts
I created some different T-Shirt designs. To do these I
made the design's to go on the t-shirts in Photoshop
and then I used the website Redbubble and created
my own account on it, on this website you can
upload your own designs in and see what it looks like
on a variety of products.
The logo seemed like a good thing
to put on everything because it is
the brand, which is mainly used to
recognize a certain product or
company.
I got the image of a dragon head
which is not related to any other
company. Then I used the magic
wand tool and that got rid of all the
black and left the grey pixels on the
outside, after that I decided to use
the bucket fill and make the outline
a much thicker outline but also make
it black and then I filled it in with
green and red to get the final design.
I chose to make a dragon design instead of a
karate man because dragons are deadly,
easier to make and can be any colour you
choose. The green really contrasts with the
white making this really stand out attracting
the audience.
The T-shirt
designs are
excellent and
advertise my
product well.
8. Process for skateboard design
I have created a skate board deck design, to do this firstly I just got a template of a skateboard deck off
google and then I put a dragon head breathing fire and lined it up so it had most of it covering the
board anything that went over the template line I just rubbed out using the rubber tool. The wheels
aren’t actually attached they are just over the bottom because if it were a design they would go there.
Although the top of
the skateboard has
the logo on it
skateboard designs
are usually on the
bottom of the deck
so this is considered
to be grip tape
which is what I
decided it would be
after I put it on the
top of the deck.
The bottom of the board
uses the bright colours
of orange and blue on a
grey background which
creates contrast I
decided to do this the
easy way by selecting
my colours and using
the bucket tool pressing
multiple times until I got
the thickness I wanted.
I was going for a graffiti style design for the skateboard but still have it relate to my game brand so that
is why some of the lines on the skateboard are a thicker black because all though it is not neat it gives it
that feeling of making it freestyle which graffiti is.
9. Process in making art for controllers
To start I got an outlined image of an Xbox controller. Then I used the colour bucket and filled in all the buttons on
the controller with the necessary colours that are always used on Xbox controllers. To get the fire background, which
is actually a cover art which you stick on, I took a background from the internet and then used the magic wand tool
whilst selected on the outlined controller layer and then selected the outside areas and it cut the image to the shape
that I wanted.
The colours were simple I just copied the colours of the default Xbox controller and
used the paint bucket to fill in the spaces. To make the pictures that go over the
background I selected certain arts from safari and then I used the magic want tool and
cut them out and then a rearranged the order of layers to make the go on correctly. I
also decided to put in my logo and this is the brand however I am unsure whether or
not if it suits it well enough to look good. The colour red connotation is the color of
fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power,
determination as well as passion, desire, and love which is included in my game. I
thought that the controller is great especially with the colours and all the space I
used, making it not full nor empty looking. There is a section barely noticeable at the
left of the controller which is white and I can not change it but I would like too. I chose
all these images for the controller because they really relate to the genre and game.
10. Process for CD sticker
This is the design for a sticker that goes on a CD I stated it by getting the dimensions of a CD then drawing a circle
from the shape tool making it these dimensions but I had to make it a colour so id be able to see it. After that I drew
a smaller circle in the centre of the bigger circle. To get the hole in the middle I selected the small circle layer and
then clicked on the circle using the magic wand tool then I selected the bigger circle layer and deleted the area the
middle. Then I took the logo and placed it in the document and put it on
getting rid of the text but it did not look good grey, so I changed the colour to
black and painted in the logo white so you can see it. Finally I just typed in
wings quest again instead of having the arched text. If I had more time I would
have added another image on this too make it more interesting. As well as the
font it should be the same as on all the other products and be arched. Out of
all of the products this one is my least favourite. I had too make the logo white
because the sticky cover was black to make a contrast.
11. Process for web page designThis was a website design idea which I decided to create to show most of the
products I had made. To start I decided to keep the page white and then I
created a title calling it ‘wings quest merchandise’ I put it the font Stencil
STD I also decided id make an options bar saying what is sold on the website
and boxes you can tick so you can choose what you want to see. To have the
title stand out and not be on a blank white page I decided to draw a
rectangle using the shape tool, then I double clicked the layer and selected
an orange gradient overlay. The square going around has a no fill in it so it is
just the outline but to make it thicker I had to put a stroke on the layer. The
arrow was placed using the custom shape tool this is because if you select
the arrow it will skip to a whole new page with different products. Lastly all
of the products that I made apart from my second poster and CD sticker was
placed into this document. This was a problem that had occurred whilst
making the website it wasn’t big enough and I had too many
products too go on so I had too decide which ones too put
on and I believe I chose well because it advertises my brand
brilliantly. I was not originally going to make this in my planning
I did because I thought it bought all the merchandise together.
