Working Title: Spaceship invaders
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose: The products purpose is to entertain the customer. I will do this by
adding colourful designs in to the game to draw and grab the attention of the customer. I
will also add sound effects that are designed and made by me. This will be the shooting
sound from the space ship to destroy the enemy. There will be also sound effects for
movement and when you die in the game. This will entertain them by making it more real
and bringing them from reality to a wonderful game. The unlit background is black. The
result of this is that it makes the other colours stand even more to the customers as the
green draws the attention of the colour and the white to show they are a group. The theme
is a 1980 feel to it as it creates old neon style. The effect of this is that it creates the gamer
of the past times, for example bring them to their childhood as they might of played this
when they were younger. The props are shields to defend you from enemy fire, which
results in a awesome experience. They will want to buy it because it will show how
awesome and imaginative it can be to the customer. The customer will want to play as it
would show how intense and action packed this game can be. Another reason they will be
interested is because they will want to beat each other’s score by taking turns in getting the
high score. When the ball speeds up it will create the game more intense, therefore making
the game more fun and more competitive. This will appeal to people on the competitive side
who like to score high points and go against friends.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre: The product will be gut retching competitive, as you will have to beat high scores
against friends or family. Therefore for appeal to the competitive side of people. The
product is a 2D arcade game that’s similar to space invaders but for copyright issues I have
to tweak it. The game will have 3 lives and the animation when you get hit will dissolve you
space ship resulting in your death. It will consist of defeating the enemy by shooting their
spaceships and when you defeat the final space ship you win the game.
What sort of product is it
Content: The product is simple yet pleasing design that’s not hard to draw, as it would take
time in making it, therefore going over the deadline. I will also add similar props as this will
be easy and not time consuming, therefore I can put more detail on other slides. Old
games, as this is common through all the products. The effect of this is that it will target
young but mostly old as this is 1980s themed, as this will target people who are older
because it will remind them of the old days. It may also appeal to young people who are
interested. However it may be boring to others, as it offers not much content.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience: This will appeal to my audience, as it will have disturbing content and the will be
gentle and soft on the eyes. The reason I have chosen 13+ Is because my final product will
be simple and easy to understand. The reason my final project will be targeted at both
genders is because it brilliantly enjoyable for both. The reason is because its gender
neutral this is great for all genders. The reason I have chosen the achiever is because the
game will be about getting high scores. The achiever want to be powerful and be at the top.
The game I am creating is about beating others high score and becoming the almighty king
at the game. The reason I have chosen C2 is because the game is a game about skill and
manual. This is great as this appeals to my game that I'm creating, as they will be able to
buy it and understand how to play it.

Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Research and Planning:
My Research and planning will influence my final product as I realised I had to make one
huge ship than smaller ships as this would take longer to make and therefore making me
go over the deadline. The planning/research has change my mind to go for a green colour
as this would stand out to the audience as it will grab their attention because the space
ships will stand out like a soar thumb. It will also catch the customer’s eye, therefore
trapping the viewer in a world of fun. The design will be different to the original design
because of plagiarism, as this would get my work removed. The game will work differently
as for copyright issues and because I have limited time on this, therefore I have to cut the
design to something more simpler as it would go over the deadline. The logo will also be
different as it would cause copy right issues as this will also bring different colour schemes
and design to counter react this. The design will be based on Sci-Fi and famous films E.G.
star wars that will help in my plan and final product in creating the enemy's space ship and
my own. The game will have sound effects that are designed and made by me. This will be
the shooting sound from the space ship to destroy the enemy. There will be also sound
effects for movement and when you die in the game.
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production?
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
There will be no offensive material, therefore its suitable for all ages. This will mean it will
NOT be restrict for younger audiences. This will not offend any social
groups/religions/ethnicities. I will make sure of this by doing research and planning before
publishing. I will make sure of this by biding to the AOS codes, therefore reassuring it will
not offend anyone. I wont be using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs except
from the font. I will not get sued as I will change and tweak to make sure I will not get sued.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?

It may also appeal to young people who are interested. However it may be boring to others, as it offers not much content. What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If so, discuss it here Audience: This will appeal to my audience, as it will have disturbing content and the will be gentle and soft on the eyes. The reason I have chosen 13+ Is because my final product will be simple and easy to understand. The reason my final project will be targeted at both genders is because it brilliantly enjoyable for both. The reason is because its gender neutral this is great for all genders. The reason I have chosen the achiever is because the game will be about getting high scores. The achiever want to be powerful and be at the top. The game I am creating is about beating others high score and becoming the almighty king at the game. The reason I have chosen C2 is because the game is a game about skill and manual. This is great as this appeals to my game that I'm creating, as they will be able to buy it and understand how to play it.
  • 2. Proposal 2 Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc Why would your project appeal to this person? Research and Planning: My Research and planning will influence my final product as I realised I had to make one huge ship than smaller ships as this would take longer to make and therefore making me go over the deadline. The planning/research has change my mind to go for a green colour as this would stand out to the audience as it will grab their attention because the space ships will stand out like a soar thumb. It will also catch the customer’s eye, therefore trapping the viewer in a world of fun. The design will be different to the original design because of plagiarism, as this would get my work removed. The game will work differently as for copyright issues and because I have limited time on this, therefore I have to cut the design to something more simpler as it would go over the deadline. The logo will also be different as it would cause copy right issues as this will also bring different colour schemes and design to counter react this. The design will be based on Sci-Fi and famous films E.G. star wars that will help in my plan and final product in creating the enemy's space ship and my own. The game will have sound effects that are designed and made by me. This will be the shooting sound from the space ship to destroy the enemy. There will be also sound effects for movement and when you die in the game. What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production? Where will you use your research and planning in your final production? Legal & Ethical Considerations: There will be no offensive material, therefore its suitable for all ages. This will mean it will NOT be restrict for younger audiences. This will not offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities. I will make sure of this by doing research and planning before publishing. I will make sure of this by biding to the AOS codes, therefore reassuring it will not offend anyone. I wont be using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs except from the font. Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright infringement?
