Experiments
Jay Birkin
Process
I used the software Premier Pro for my audio
project experiment , the software is used for videos
as well as audio but that was not needed as I was
only making an mp3 audio file.
These bars are where I place down the audio files which
I imported and then I could adjust them by cutting out
sections and making other sounds louder than some.
To import all of the files into
premier pro I created a
folder in my area where I
stored all of the mp3 files
that I needed. This just made
it easier and actually allowed
me to import all of the files
together in one easy go.
This is the tool bar and these are the tools that I used,
the move tool, this allows you too drag in the order
you want the sound files to go. The cut tool (named
the razor) this allows you to cut sound files down. This
was used too cut out unnecessary sounds and place
every sound file together smoothly. Finally the sound
bar, this allows you too turn soundtracks up and down
to get some louder than others.
The backing track
that is used is
morning relaxing
music and this is
used because it suits the theme of relaxing in the morning
because it is slow paced music that the audience would
enjoy. I really like the backing track on the experiment and
may include it or something similar to it in my final audio.
I did not include a little tune
at the beginning or end and I
think that the experiment or
at least the final audio could
use this.
I first started up the
experiment by gathering all
the sounds and music I
needed. To get these I used
various sound websites and
also YouTube, by using the
YouTube to mp3 converter.
Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– I will include a backing track just like the one in the experiment playing behind
me talking and it will be quieter so you can hear the voice . This backing track
will be included because it is very relaxing and suits talking over something
rather than something like rock music. I will make my final audio on premier
pro using specific tools such as the cut tool to cut out certain sounds which
are not needed making the file go smoothly. I will also use the sound bar
making the backing track much quieter than the other audio tracks. I am not
going to include any of the sound effects like this in the experiment in the final
audio but I will include some other sound effects like cheering and clapping in
it this is because they do not suit what I will be talking about.
