2. Process
I made all of the magazine components in Photoshop because it was the only program that actually seemed
suitable enough for this project.
On Photoshop you get to set the page size
so I went on file and new and then changed
the setting to international paper and put it
on A4 but I put the scale into centimeters
because otherwise it would have been in
pixels and that’s not what I needed because
I wasn’t creating anything. It was just of
images, text and shapes.
This is a tool that selects colours already
existing on your page and I used this
because you want most of your page to
be the same colour so you take them off
the images that you put down.
The shape tool was used in the making of the layout of the magazine I started it off by putting all the shapes in so
then I could decide where I wanted everything to go. For example the masthead.
To get the colour of all of the squares I used the colour bucket
tool. Then I selected my colour pressed on the shape but then I
had to make the shape a free transform otherwise it would not
have let me colour it in.

3. Process The masthead of my magazine will go
here.To get the fonts for my
magazine I used the website
DaFont. This has lots of fonts
on and they are easy to
download you would just
follow these steps.
However the
fonts do not
work on macs so
you can only
work with them
on PC’S
I used a lot of images in the making of my magazine. I
searched up already existing ones to get ideas to put on
and for the layout plan of magazine as well to get ideas
for my magazine . I got images of important things
which need to go on magazines like barcodes and an
image of something that relates to the magazine that
you are creating.
This is the layout that I created for my front cover
before I decided to put all of my images and text
on.

will go here.This is a tool that helps with
how far away your lines of
text are from each other so
they can be far apart or close
together. To access this you
need to go into windows,
paragraphs and select
character.

4. process The masthead for this
magazine suits it very well.
Because it clearly states that it
is an entertainment magazine
and it tells us what
entertainment field it is about
movies and games also it is
pixelated like an game. This is
bigger than the rest of the
text and draws in the
attention of the reader.
The barcode here is out
of the way and not
covering anything up
This is the logo that I used for my
magazine so it has a specific brand
to go by and this is so they know
they are buying the same content
magazine.
This is extra information that tells us
specific things that will be featured
in the magazine and this will draw
the reader in too buy it because you
list the best and most interesting
things included inside
The competitions and builds are yet
another factor that draw in because
it gives you a task to do too pass the
time as well as saying you can win
something back if you buy this.
The main image is a picture of
a video game which relates to
the type of magazine. The
main image is also very grey
which relates to the genre
type because most games are
thrillers which is more on
edge.
There is no subtitle because I did not see
the relevance and plus it would not fit
on.
The price of my magazine is a reasonable
price and this will allow more people to
buy this.

5. Process
After I had the size of my page and I
had turned it landscape to make it a
double page I needed to find the
middle point to do this I used the
ruler as guidelines which you can
pull anywhere on your page. This
makes your overall product look
great. These are what the
guidelines look like.
Before I started my double page I decided to draw my self a layout of
about where things would go so the black squares is where I am going
to put my images and the title at the top right the rest of the article
will be text and I already searched up how I should write my article by
looking at existing ones using the correct language and terminology
and such.

6. Process
For the double page i needed information and facts on it so I used
Google to find out information to put into my articles for example a list
of top rated movies
This is my finished double page and everything is in line with each
other from the edges I have filled up all of the page leaving not
that much white spacing. The title of this article suits the page
because this particular information is included inside. As well as
these I included a review of a movie a write up of a movie which
was created into a game and a new game console that is coming
out soon. All of this information is good and I think it is very
interesting article overall to read.
