Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
It’s a bugs life
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
The purpose of this product is to educate the children at the same time as them having fun,
they will learn their insects but will be playing a game at the same time trying to collect
coins.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
Advergame and app icon
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
My product is about getting the children to name the insects before been able to play the
game, this way it makes hem think what the insect is meaning they will learn what it is, they
will then get to play, by using a catapult to catapult the insects at wooden wallsthat have
coins hidden in them and try and get as many coins as they can.
I also want to go on to making a app icon if I have enough time after creating my game by
creating a app icon it will show my audience what I have in store for them and what to look
out for when the game does come out, I want to link the logo into what the game is for
example I want to use one of the backgrounds in the game for the app icon or even show a
selection with one of the main characters (insect) and the name of the logo this is very
simple but explains what the game my be about.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
My audience is both boys and girls ages between 4-10 with a social status of type A and a
psychographic of a Emulator. By making my product appeal to this audience I will have to
remember not to make it one sided open it to everyone and make sure everyone gets
involved but I may cause some upset to others by this but I will try my hardest not to make
it one sided and make sure that the game is available to everyone.
Research and Planning:
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production?
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production?
The elements and planning I will use in my research will be that I need to remember that it
is for both genders, that its for little children so I need to remember how to show off the
game with the fonts, colours ect. I will be using this in my final product for everything, I nee
to remember that its for children.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? I need to remember that they maybe
children with learning difficulties may want to play so I need to involve everyone or I may
offend the children.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? It is for young children so no it wont stop
them accessing it but they should alwaysask there parents/carers if they can get the game.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? I will try my best to not offend any social
groups but you cant please everyone but I will try my best.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? I will take my time and think about what I am
doing and go through it all and check that I aren’t offending anyone.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? No I am not but its on the same
lines as ‘Angry Birds’
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? I will make sure i do not copyright, by this I will check my work over an make
sure it’s not the same as existing products.
