PRE-PRODUCTION

STYLE SHEET
The images I have collected show both male and female celebrity's. for the magazine I am going to produce I will use the colour
scheme black, grey and white, I have gone with these three colours as they are both male and female then the magazine will have
an audience of male and female, I have gone for different fonts, that will suit male and female, I think ‘adouliss’ will be the one
that I use as it is both male and female, where as the other two are just for male or female.
I have chosen these colours as I want to create a magazine for both genders as they isn't many teenager magazines fro both
female and male, so I thought a colour scheme of black, white and grey was a sensible colour scheme to have.
I Think the font ‘adouliss’ is also suitable for male and female as its not handy written and looks like a female has written it and its
not big and bold like you would think suits a male, I think I will try use this font for my main heading but as magazines use a wide
range of fonts I will have to try find more suitable for both genders
LAYOUT 1
In this layout that I created I have put
together what I would like my magazine
front cover to loo like, from the colour
scheme to the lay out, I haven't managed
to create the same looking font I tried my
best with the mast head but as I didn’t
used images I just di it on paper its a lot
harder.
I have placed a cross where I want to
insert images, so the main background will
be an image that I will take my self
representing Pink. And other little images
linking to the plug.
I think that the magazine front cover covers
all of the common convention, masthead,
tagline, sub heading, barcode, price, date
etc. from adding in all of the main
conventions you can spot that it’s a
magazine just by looking at it. This is also
very good as your audience need to
recognize the magazine and what they
layout looks like, so they can easily spot t
in a shop.
I have created the layout plan like this as
this is what I would like my magazine front
cover to look like, where the ‘X’ are I will be
placing images of my models and all of the
rest of the information is on there that I am
going to add on.
LAYOUT 2
Here I have created a layout of my double page spread, I have used the same colour scheme, and linked it in with
how I would like my front cover to look, again I couldn’t make the fonts look like how I want them, I am going to
use the same fonts as my front cover. I have put down what I am going to talk about add in on my double page
spread for the text. I have just said I will talk about the awards, how they feel, how they like their career, if they are
doing at festivals or tours. This will then just let the audience know more about pink her self and how she feels,
from this the audience will fell closer.
I have created this layout plan for my double page spread so I know how I want it to look when creating the
product. I have put little bullet points in where I am going to add the columns of text just to help me when I am
trying to write the article. I am also going to add in images of my models that this is about.
PROPS & LOCATIONS
Props/Costume needed Locations needed
Cameras Green screen, something that’s easy to
edit.
Editing programs Phototshop.
Model Somewhere with just a plane
background (green screen) to edit.
Fonts DaFonts.com
Secondary images Internet.
CONTINGENCY PLANNING
Potential Issue Solution
The camera I decided to use may not work
or have enough memory.
Make sure I have a backup plane in case
this happens, another camera handy.
The computer I was using may not have
the editing programs that I want to use.
Make sure they is always another
computer in case this happens.
The computer I use may have no internet
this means I wouldn’t be able to get fonts.
Make sure I can always do something else,
or move to another computer.
I may not be able to find any secondary
images to add to my poster.
Make sure if I cant find any I can take my
own.
I could lose all of the images that I have
taken of the model.
make sure I back it all up, send my self
them through email.
The model doesn’t turn up when I had
panned to do the shoot.
Make sure I have a reliable model or a back
up model if anything was to happen to the
other model.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
The camera could fall over/could be
dropped.
Make sure its set up correctly.
strain your eyes when working on the
computer.
take regular brakes.
Spilling food and drink near the computer. take a brake, have something to eat and
drink.
your back may start hurting. go for a walk have a stretch.
The brightness of your screen may start to
hurt your eyes.
turn the brightness down, take a brake and
come back.
The model could fall over/trip. make sure everything is off the floor, that
you can’t trip over anything.

5. pre production(3) 2

  • 2. STYLE SHEET The images I have collected show both male and female celebrity's. for the magazine I am going to produce I will use the colour scheme black, grey and white, I have gone with these three colours as they are both male and female then the magazine will have an audience of male and female, I have gone for different fonts, that will suit male and female, I think ‘adouliss’ will be the one that I use as it is both male and female, where as the other two are just for male or female. I have chosen these colours as I want to create a magazine for both genders as they isn't many teenager magazines fro both female and male, so I thought a colour scheme of black, white and grey was a sensible colour scheme to have. I Think the font ‘adouliss’ is also suitable for male and female as its not handy written and looks like a female has written it and its not big and bold like you would think suits a male, I think I will try use this font for my main heading but as magazines use a wide range of fonts I will have to try find more suitable for both genders
  • 3. LAYOUT 1 In this layout that I created I have put together what I would like my magazine front cover to loo like, from the colour scheme to the lay out, I haven't managed to create the same looking font I tried my best with the mast head but as I didn’t used images I just di it on paper its a lot harder. I have placed a cross where I want to insert images, so the main background will be an image that I will take my self representing Pink. And other little images linking to the plug. I think that the magazine front cover covers all of the common convention, masthead, tagline, sub heading, barcode, price, date etc. from adding in all of the main conventions you can spot that it’s a magazine just by looking at it. This is also very good as your audience need to recognize the magazine and what they layout looks like, so they can easily spot t in a shop. I have created the layout plan like this as this is what I would like my magazine front cover to look like, where the ‘X’ are I will be placing images of my models and all of the rest of the information is on there that I am going to add on.
  • 4. LAYOUT 2 Here I have created a layout of my double page spread, I have used the same colour scheme, and linked it in with how I would like my front cover to look, again I couldn’t make the fonts look like how I want them, I am going to use the same fonts as my front cover. I have put down what I am going to talk about add in on my double page spread for the text. I have just said I will talk about the awards, how they feel, how they like their career, if they are doing at festivals or tours. This will then just let the audience know more about pink her self and how she feels, from this the audience will fell closer. I have created this layout plan for my double page spread so I know how I want it to look when creating the product. I have put little bullet points in where I am going to add the columns of text just to help me when I am trying to write the article. I am also going to add in images of my models that this is about.
  • 5. PROPS & LOCATIONS Props/Costume needed Locations needed Cameras Green screen, something that’s easy to edit. Editing programs Phototshop. Model Somewhere with just a plane background (green screen) to edit. Fonts DaFonts.com Secondary images Internet.
  • 6. CONTINGENCY PLANNING Potential Issue Solution The camera I decided to use may not work or have enough memory. Make sure I have a backup plane in case this happens, another camera handy. The computer I was using may not have the editing programs that I want to use. Make sure they is always another computer in case this happens. The computer I use may have no internet this means I wouldn’t be able to get fonts. Make sure I can always do something else, or move to another computer. I may not be able to find any secondary images to add to my poster. Make sure if I cant find any I can take my own. I could lose all of the images that I have taken of the model. make sure I back it all up, send my self them through email. The model doesn’t turn up when I had panned to do the shoot. Make sure I have a reliable model or a back up model if anything was to happen to the other model.
  • 7. HEALTH AND SAFETY Potential Issue How will the issue be avoided? The camera could fall over/could be dropped. Make sure its set up correctly. strain your eyes when working on the computer. take regular brakes. Spilling food and drink near the computer. take a brake, have something to eat and drink. your back may start hurting. go for a walk have a stretch. The brightness of your screen may start to hurt your eyes. turn the brightness down, take a brake and come back. The model could fall over/trip. make sure everything is off the floor, that you can’t trip over anything.
