Regional anatomy deals with the form, position, and relationship of structures within specific body regions. The main body regions include the head, neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis and perineum, and the upper and lower limbs. Regional anatomy is studied through dissection of human cadavers to acquire knowledge of the living body structure and serve as a bridge between basic anatomy and clinical courses. The document lists some basic anatomical structures like skin, fascia, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and instruments used in dissection like forceps, scalpels, and scissors.
