LSC VOLLEYBALL
Angelo State, Tarleton State, and West Texas A&M top the Lone Star Conference standings. League play rolls on
with five games on both Friday and Saturday this week.
LSC volleyball teams are 97-75 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-9 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athle c Conference teams, and 19-5 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues
in the NCAA South Central Region.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, JR, Cedar Park, Texas, Cedar Park HS
It was a milestone night for Hailey Roberts as the junior went for 26 kills on a .339 hi ng effort to lead Tarleton
past Texas A&M-Kingsville last Friday night. Roberts’ 26 kills was enough to put her over 1,500 in her career,
making her the second player in Tarleton history to reach that mark. In the four-set win over the Javelinas,
Roberts led the team with a .339 hi ng performance and added one assist and one block. She also had 11 digs
for her 50th career double-double.
DEFENSIVE
Ashley Mireles, Texas A&M University-Commerce, SR, Georgetown, Texas, Georgetown HS
Mireles put up big numbers in the wins over Cameron and Midwestern State to run the Lions’ winning streak
to five matches... In the four-set win over CU she averaged seven digs per set with a 28-dig total performance...
The Lions ba led back from a two-set deficit versus MSU as Mireles dug out 24 balls... Her efforts helped the
Lions limit opponents to a .110 hi ng percentage... Mireles leads the league in digs at 5.28...
SETTER
Selena Ba ste, West Texas A&M University, FR, Portland, Oregon, Central Catholic
Ba ste con nued to impress for the Lady Buffs this past week as they topped UT Permian Basin in five sets
on the road followed by sweeps of Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico at The Box. The Portland,
Oregon na ve dished out 82 assists to average 7.45 per set to go along with 23 kills on 49 swings with three
errors to hit .408 in the wins. The freshman also registered 24 digs to average 2.18 per frame with three total
blocks. Friday night saw the freshman control the match with Western New Mexico as she tallied 10 kills on 16
swings with no errors to hit .625 to go along with 25 assists, two blocks and nine digs to finish just one dig shy
of a triple-double. For the week, the Lady Buffs recorded a .304 team hi ng percentage.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Aerielle Edwards, Midwestern State University, paced the Midwestern State offense during a pair of five-set
matches on the road last weekend, averaging 4.0 kills per set with a .280 hi ng percentage for a total of 40
kills. The Haltom City na ve posted a career-best 22 kills at Texas Woman’s for her second 20-kill performance
of the season on a .288 hi ng clip. Edwards also added a career-high 13 digs against the Pioneers for her first
career double-double with the Mustangs. Against Texas A&M-Commerce, Edwards added 18 kills on a .268
percentage while recording three blocks. Edwards has led the Mustangs in kills in eight of her 12 matches
played this season and ranks fourth in the LSC with 3.80 kills per set.
Anna McGee, Texas Woman’s University, led TWU to three straight wins over the week, including the first
two LSC victories of the season. The senior ed her career-high of 15 kills against Dallas Bap st before se ng
a new career mark with 21 kills against Midwestern State. Her ou ng versus MSU was the first 20-plus kill
performance of the season by a Pioneer. In the sweep of Cameron, McGee tallied a game-high 13 kills with one
error for a .429 hi ng percentage.
Lauren Frye, Eastern New Mexico University, led the Greyhounds to a 2-1 record this past week, leading the
team in kills in all three matches. The senior hit .500 in two of the three matches while pos ng double-digit kills
in all three. Frye also aided the defensive effort, picking up five blocks in the three matches.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY RELEASE 2
to play well in the Lone Star Conference to remain in
a e for first place in the league as they topped UT
Permian Basin in five sets on the road followed by
sweeps over Western New Mexico and Eastern New
Mexico. The Grapevine, Texas na ve had 30 kills in
three matches to average 2.73 per set with just eight
a ack errors to hit .293 on the weekend. Defensively,
she had five digs and 11 total blocks. Kress set a
new season/career high with 11 kills on Saturday
a ernoon against Eastern New Mexico on 25 swings
with two errors to hit .360 in the win.
Daisge Smith, Texas A&M University-Commerce,
lead the Lions in kills in both matches as they ran
their winning streak to five matches - the most in
the LSC... A&M-Commerce is now undefeated on its
home floor... She hit .324 with 15 kills in the 3-1 win
over Cameron with a service ace and 15 digs... She hit
.219 with 13 kills in the Midwestern State win, adding
four service aces...
Krystal Faison, Texas A&M University-Kingsville,
picked up her eighth and ninth double-doubles of
the season this weekend against Tarleton State and
then No. 13 Angelo State. Against the TexAnns, the
junior gathered 10 kills and 13 digs and followed that
performance with 13 kills, 18 digs and an ace against
the Rambelles.
Abbie Lynn, Angelo State University, played a
major offensive role in the Belles victory over Texas
A&M –Kingsville week. The right side hi er not only
helped seal the deal on Saturday’s match making an
extraordinary play to set up the match point for ASU
against the Javelinas, but also recorded nine total
kills averaging 2.25 kills per set. This also allowed the
junior from Amarillo, Texas to record a .241 clip for
the match. Defensively, she recorded two blocks and
a dig for the match.
Heather Verrill, Western New Mexico, came away
with a team-best 22 kills and hit .302 in the three
matches this week. She also added five digs and
five blocks to post 24.5 points. She ended the week
strong going for 11 kills to just one error in 17 swings
for a .588 percentage in the sweep of UTPB. Verrill
averaged 2.20 kills and 2.45 points per set.
Mallory Davidson, Angelo State University, turned
in excellent numbers for the Belles defense in its only
match of the week against Texas A&M – Kingsville.
Star ng at libero for the first me in her career, she
chalked up a career high 24 digs against the Javelinas.
This marked the most digs in a single match by any
Belle this season.The sophomore averaged 6.00 digs
per set and marked her fi h double-digit dig game of
2016. She added an ace and an assist for the week.
Andrea Aguilar, Eastern New Mexico University,
picked up 21 digs in the loss to West Texas A&M.
The junior aided a defensive effort that allowed
opponents to hit just .191 on the week. In the win
over UTPB, Aguilar allowed the Falcons to hit just
.055, picking up 14 digs in the win.
Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton State University,
con nued to lead the way defensively from the back
row with 20 digs for an average of 5.0 digs per set.
The sophomore also boasted a perfect night in serve
receive and added two assists on the night. She
anchored the Tarleton defense that held Kingsville
to a .119 hi ng effort, including an .056 clip in the
match-clinching fourth set.
Lexi Wick, Texas A&M University-Kingsville,
registered 1.25 blocks per set this weekend against
the best compe on in the conference. She led the
club with 25.5 points largely due to her ten total
blocks that included three solo blocks.
Crystal Thomas, West Texas A&M University, had
a big week on the front row for the Lady Buffs as
they topped UT Permian Basin in five sets followed
by sweeps of Western New Mexico and Eastern New
Mexico in Lone Star Conference ac on to improve
to 10-5 (6-1 LSC). The San Antonio na ve registered
12 kills on 23 swings with no a ack errors to hit
.522 to go along with four digs and 12 total blocks to
average 1.33 per set. Thomas registered four kills on
seven swings to hit .571 against ENMU on Saturday
a ernoon with six blocks.
Shannon Rich, Western New Mexico, nearly led
the team in both kills and blocks as she had a team-
best 11 blocks, with one coming solo and added a
second-best 21 kills. She also added six digs and was
responsible for 27 points. Rich had at least three
blocks in every match, going for four twice. She had
a solo block and three assists versus Eastern New
Mexico and then four block assists against UTPB. Rich
hit .294 and averaged 2.10 kills, 1.10 blocks and 2.70
points per set.
Katy Ranes, Texas Woman’s University, made her
star ng debut as a Pioneer and guided TWU to three
victories on the week, including the first two LSC wins
on the season. The freshman tossed out game-highs
of 55, 51 and 42 assists in her new role. Ranes also
notched her first double-double with her 17 digs
against Dallas Bap st and contributed 33 total digs
throughout the three matches. Offensively, Ranes
added eight kills, three blocks and two service aces
on the week.
Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University,
con nued her record-se ng pace for Tarleton as the
junior se er dished out 43 assists in Tarleton’s four-
set win over Texas A&M-Kingsville. The junior from
Hawaii averaged 10.75 assists per set and added two
kills, one ace, and one block on the night. She also
finished third on the team with 10 digs for her fourth
consecu ve double-double performance.
Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, con nued
to turn in excellent number this week in the Belles
only match. The freshman racked up 42 assist against
Texas A&M-Kingsville which averaged her 10.50 assist
per set for the week. Parker con nues to sit within
the na onal top 10 and leads the LSC in total assists
(649) and assist per set (11.80) on the year. The San
Antonio na ve also added an ace and seven digs to
her weekly total.
Kristan Aduddell, Midwestern State University,
recorded 10.40 assists per set in a pair of five-
set matches for Midwestern State last weekend,
dishing out 104 assists behind a career-best 59 assist
performance at Texas Woman’s. Aduddell’s career
night was her third 50-assist ou ng in the last five
matches while adding eight digs, two kills, one block
and an ace. The Colony na ve totaled 45 assists at
Texas A&M-Commerce the following day along with
seven digs, three kills, two blocks and a pair of aces.
Aduddell finished with five kills while commi ng no
errors on the weekend. She currently ranks fourth in
the LSC with 10.28 assists per set.
Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville,
had an impressive 83 assists in eight sets against
Tarleton State and No. 12 Angelo State this past
weekend. Solid in all facets of the game, Klobedans
led the team with three service aces, collected two
kills and four blocks.
Rylie Fuentes, Texas A&M University-Commerce,
was the lead se er in a 6-2 offense that has the
Lions si ng on the league’s longest winning streak...
She passed out 30 assists vs Cameron and made it a
double-double with 12 digs and added 2 aces... In the
five-set win vs MSU, she had nearly 7 assists per set
with 34 assists...
Kaitlyn Kluna, Eastern New Mexico University, set
the table for an offense that hit above .290 in two of
the three matches this weekend, including a blistering
.308 against UTPB. The sophomore matched a
season-high with 27 assists against Western New

Mexico and recorded a double-double with 11 digs
against UTPB.
Melanie Hughes, Western New Mexico, paced the
offense with 46 assists, reaching double-figures in all
three matches. She spun in three aces, added 15 digs
and two kills. She went for a high in assists with 21
versus West Texas A&M and spun in two aces against
UTPB. She averaged 5.11 assists and 1.67 digs per set.

Angelo State
No. 12 Angelo State improved to 14-2, 5-1 LSC as it
downed Texas A&M - Kingsville, 3-1, in its only match
of the week. The ASU a ack was once again led by
the trio of Mallory Blauser, Brianna Sotello and Abbie
Lynn. Blauser is fresh off a 16 kill performance against
Texas A&M-Kingsville that averaged her 4.00 kills
per set. The senior team leader also recorded her
seventh double-double as she tallied a career high 17
digs against the Javelinas. Sotello followed with a 13
kill, 15 dig showing which also marked her seventh
double-double for 2016. The junior also added four
total blocks to her numbers for the match. Rounding
out the group, Lynn checked in with nine kills and a
.241 clip for the match. Anchoring the defense for
the Belles was Mallory Davidson and Leiyona Young.
Star ng at libero for the first me in her career,
Davidson chalked up a career high 24 digs against the
Javelinas. This averaged the sophomore 6.00 digs per
set and marked her fi h double-digit dig game. Young
co-led the squad along the net, turning in four blocks
for the match. Finally, se ng up the ASU a ack was
freshman Meghan Parker. The conference leader in
total assists (649) and assist per set (11.80) currently
sits within the top ten na onal in both categories.
Against the Javelinas she tallied 42 assists which
averaged her 10.50 assist per set.

Eastern New Mexico
Eastern New Mexico went 2-1 this past week to climb
back to the .500 mark on the season. The Greyhounds
picked up wins against Western New Mexico and UT
Permian Basin while falling on Saturday to West Texas
A&M. Reigning LSC Offensive Player of the Week,
Lauren Frye hit .391 with 36 kills. Andrea Aguilar led
the team defensively with 51 digs while Courtney
Lawson had a pair of double-doubles.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State dropped a pair of five-set matches
on the road last weekend to Texas Woman’s and Texas
A&M-Commerce to fall to 7-8 overall and 3-4 in LSC
play. The Mustangs wrap up a six-match road stretch
Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Southern Nazarene before
returning home for LSC contests against Angelo
State and Tarleton State this weekend at D.L. Ligon
Coliseum.
Tarleton State
Tarleton won its lone match of the week with a four-
set win over Texas A&M-Kingsville in Stephenville. The
TexAnns have three straight road games, beginning
with a Friday night trip to Cameron at 7 p.m.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions moved to 10-6 overall and 4-2 in league play
with wins at home over Cameron and Midwestern
State... The Lions currently have the longest winning
streak in the conference at 5 matches and are
undefeated in The Field House... In Friday’s 3-1 win
over Cameron, the Lions hit .255 on the night with 63
kills, while the Aggies hit .059 with 31 kills... Daisge
Smith was the team kills leader, earning a double-
double with 15 kills and 15 digs with a .324 hi ng
percentage... Taryn Driver had 12 kills on a .296
hi ng rate and Neka Nelson threw down 10 kills with
a .375 hi ng percentage... LSC Defensive Player of
the Week Ashley Mireles had 28 digs and was one
of five Lions with double digit digs... Bina Njikam led
the Lions with four blocks. The team had 10 service
aces... In Saturday’s 3-2 win over Midwestern State,
the Lions fought back from two sets down to take the
conference win... Daisge Smith was the only Lion in
double digit kills with 13, but four other Lions had
seven or more kills... The Lions hit .186 for the match,
while MSU hit .163... Ashley Mireles had 24 digs to
lead the match, while Rylie Fuentes passed out 34
assists in the match... The Lions take the New Mexico
swing through LSC play this week, playing at Eastern
New Mexico on Friday night and at Western New
Mexico on Saturday night...
Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Javelinas played tough and close matches against
arguably the two best teams in the conference in
Tarleton State and No. 12 Angelo State. They lost both
matches in four sets to end their six match road trip.
The Hogs now return home on Friday, October 7th to
take on a hot West Texas A&M squad in their annual
Dig Pink match, followed by a Saturday lt against
new LSC member UT Permian Basin.
Texas Woman’s
The Pioneers opened the week with a win versus
Dallas Bap st and followed up with its first two LSC
wins on the season with a five-set victory against
Midwestern State and a sweep of Cameron.

West Texas A&M
The Lady Buffs remained in a e atop of the Lone
Star Conference standings this past weekend as they
registered a pair of home sweeps over Western New
Mexico and Eastern New Mexico to improve to 10-5
(5-1 LSC) on the season. WT was led by Taylor Kress
with 20 kills on 48 swings with just five a ack errors
to hit .312 on the weekend while Selena Ba ste
dished out 51 assists and Lauren Bri en moved into
4th place in the WT Record Books with her 1,822nd
career dig. The Lady Buffs hit the road this weekend
as they take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday night
with first serve set for 7 p.m. at the Steinke Center in
Kingsville, Texas. WT will then take on the two- me
defending South Central Regional Champion Lions
of Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday a ernoon at
2:30 p.m. at Bill Greehey Arena on the campus of St.
Mary’s University in San Antonio.
Western New Mexico
The Lady Mustangs went 1-2 on the road this week
closing the trip with a sweep of UTPB. WNMU had
119 kills and another strong showing in blocks with
20.5. They hit .212 as a team. In addi on to top
performances from Heather Verrill, Melanie Hughes
and Shannon Rich, Kelli McGhiey had 21 kills, while
Samantha Haupeakui added 15 kills and 10 blocks.
Verrill came away with a team-best 22 kills and
hit .302 in the three matches this week. She also
added five digs and five blocks to post 24.5 points.
She ended the week strong going for 11 kills to just
one error in 17 swings for a .588 percentage in the
sweep of UTPB. Verrill averaged 2.20 kills and 2.45
points per set. Hughes paced the offense with 46
assists, reaching double-figures in all three matches.

League play rolls on with five games on both Friday and Saturday this week. LSC volleyball teams are 97-75 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-9 combined versus Rocky Mountain Athle c Conference teams, and 19-5 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region. PLAYERS OF THE WEEK OFFENSIVE Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, JR, Cedar Park, Texas, Cedar Park HS It was a milestone night for Hailey Roberts as the junior went for 26 kills on a .339 hi ng effort to lead Tarleton past Texas A&M-Kingsville last Friday night. Roberts’ 26 kills was enough to put her over 1,500 in her career, making her the second player in Tarleton history to reach that mark. In the four-set win over the Javelinas, Roberts led the team with a .339 hi ng performance and added one assist and one block. She also had 11 digs for her 50th career double-double. DEFENSIVE Ashley Mireles, Texas A&M University-Commerce, SR, Georgetown, Texas, Georgetown HS Mireles put up big numbers in the wins over Cameron and Midwestern State to run the Lions’ winning streak to five matches... In the four-set win over CU she averaged seven digs per set with a 28-dig total performance... The Lions ba led back from a two-set deficit versus MSU as Mireles dug out 24 balls... Her efforts helped the Lions limit opponents to a .110 hi ng percentage... Mireles leads the league in digs at 5.28... SETTER Selena Ba ste, West Texas A&M University, FR, Portland, Oregon, Central Catholic Ba ste con nued to impress for the Lady Buffs this past week as they topped UT Permian Basin in five sets on the road followed by sweeps of Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico at The Box. The Portland, Oregon na ve dished out 82 assists to average 7.45 per set to go along with 23 kills on 49 swings with three errors to hit .408 in the wins. The freshman also registered 24 digs to average 2.18 per frame with three total blocks. Friday night saw the freshman control the match with Western New Mexico as she tallied 10 kills on 16 swings with no errors to hit .625 to go along with 25 assists, two blocks and nine digs to finish just one dig shy of a triple-double. For the week, the Lady Buffs recorded a .304 team hi ng percentage. OTHER TOP PERFORMERS Aerielle Edwards, Midwestern State University, paced the Midwestern State offense during a pair of five-set matches on the road last weekend, averaging 4.0 kills per set with a .280 hi ng percentage for a total of 40 kills. The Haltom City na ve posted a career-best 22 kills at Texas Woman’s for her second 20-kill performance of the season on a .288 hi ng clip. Edwards also added a career-high 13 digs against the Pioneers for her first career double-double with the Mustangs. Against Texas A&M-Commerce, Edwards added 18 kills on a .268 percentage while recording three blocks. Edwards has led the Mustangs in kills in eight of her 12 matches played this season and ranks fourth in the LSC with 3.80 kills per set. Anna McGee, Texas Woman’s University, led TWU to three straight wins over the week, including the first two LSC victories of the season. The senior ed her career-high of 15 kills against Dallas Bap st before se ng a new career mark with 21 kills against Midwestern State. Her ou ng versus MSU was the first 20-plus kill performance of the season by a Pioneer. In the sweep of Cameron, McGee tallied a game-high 13 kills with one error for a .429 hi ng percentage. Lauren Frye, Eastern New Mexico University, led the Greyhounds to a 2-1 record this past week, leading the team in kills in all three matches. The Grapevine, Texas na ve had 30 kills in three matches to average 2.73 per set with just eight a ack errors to hit .293 on the weekend. Defensively, she had five digs and 11 total blocks. Kress set a new season/career high with 11 kills on Saturday a ernoon against Eastern New Mexico on 25 swings with two errors to hit .360 in the win. Daisge Smith, Texas A&M University-Commerce, lead the Lions in kills in both matches as they ran their winning streak to five matches - the most in the LSC... A&M-Commerce is now undefeated on its home floor... She hit .324 with 15 kills in the 3-1 win over Cameron with a service ace and 15 digs... She hit .219 with 13 kills in the Midwestern State win, adding four service aces... Krystal Faison, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, picked up her eighth and ninth double-doubles of the season this weekend against Tarleton State and then No. 13 Angelo State. Against the TexAnns, the junior gathered 10 kills and 13 digs and followed that performance with 13 kills, 18 digs and an ace against the Rambelles. Abbie Lynn, Angelo State University, played a major offensive role in the Belles victory over Texas A&M –Kingsville week. The right side hi er not only helped seal the deal on Saturday’s match making an extraordinary play to set up the match point for ASU against the Javelinas, but also recorded nine total kills averaging 2.25 kills per set. This also allowed the junior from Amarillo, Texas to record a .241 clip for the match. Defensively, she recorded two blocks and a dig for the match. Heather Verrill, Western New Mexico, came away with a team-best 22 kills and hit .302 in the three matches this week. She also added five digs and five blocks to post 24.5 points. She ended the week strong going for 11 kills to just one error in 17 swings for a .588 percentage in the sweep of UTPB. Verrill averaged 2.20 kills and 2.45 points per set. Mallory Davidson, Angelo State University, turned in excellent numbers for the Belles defense in its only match of the week against Texas A&M – Kingsville. Star ng at libero for the first me in her career, she chalked up a career high 24 digs against the Javelinas. This marked the most digs in a single match by any Belle this season.The sophomore averaged 6.00 digs per set and marked her fi h double-digit dig game of 2016. She added an ace and an assist for the week. Andrea Aguilar, Eastern New Mexico University, picked up 21 digs in the loss to West Texas A&M. The junior aided a defensive effort that allowed opponents to hit just .191 on the week. In the win over UTPB, Aguilar allowed the Falcons to hit just .055, picking up 14 digs in the win. Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton State University, con nued to lead the way defensively from the back row with 20 digs for an average of 5.0 digs per set. The sophomore also boasted a perfect night in serve receive and added two assists on the night. She anchored the Tarleton defense that held Kingsville to a .119 hi ng effort, including an .056 clip in the match-clinching fourth set. Lexi Wick, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, registered 1.25 blocks per set this weekend against the best compe on in the conference. She led the club with 25.5 points largely due to her ten total blocks that included three solo blocks. Crystal Thomas, West Texas A&M University, had a big week on the front row for the Lady Buffs as they topped UT Permian Basin in five sets followed by sweeps of Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico in Lone Star Conference ac on to improve to 10-5 (6-1 LSC). The San Antonio na ve registered 12 kills on 23 swings with no a ack errors to hit .522 to go along with four digs and 12 total blocks to average 1.33 per set. Thomas registered four kills on seven swings to hit .571 against ENMU on Saturday a ernoon with six blocks. Shannon Rich, Western New Mexico, nearly led the team in both kills and blocks as she had a team- best 11 blocks, with one coming solo and added a second-best 21 kills. She also added six digs and was responsible for 27 points. Rich had at least three blocks in every match, going for four twice. She had a solo block and three assists versus Eastern New Mexico and then four block assists against UTPB. Rich hit .294 and averaged 2.10 kills, 1.10 blocks and 2.70 points per set. Katy Ranes, Texas Woman’s University, made her star ng debut as a Pioneer and guided TWU to three victories on the week, including the first two LSC wins on the season. The freshman tossed out game-highs of 55, 51 and 42 assists in her new role. Ranes also notched her first double-double with her 17 digs against Dallas Bap st and contributed 33 total digs throughout the three matches. Offensively, Ranes added eight kills, three blocks and two service aces on the week. Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, con nued her record-se ng pace for Tarleton as the junior se er dished out 43 assists in Tarleton’s four- set win over Texas A&M-Kingsville. The junior from Hawaii averaged 10.75 assists per set and added two kills, one ace, and one block on the night. She also finished third on the team with 10 digs for her fourth consecu ve double-double performance. Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, con nued to turn in excellent number this week in the Belles only match. The freshman racked up 42 assist against Texas A&M-Kingsville which averaged her 10.50 assist per set for the week. Parker con nues to sit within the na onal top 10 and leads the LSC in total assists (649) and assist per set (11.80) on the year. The San Antonio na ve also added an ace and seven digs to her weekly total. Kristan Aduddell, Midwestern State University, recorded 10.40 assists per set in a pair of five- set matches for Midwestern State last weekend, dishing out 104 assists behind a career-best 59 assist performance at Texas Woman’s. Aduddell’s career night was her third 50-assist ou ng in the last five matches while adding eight digs, two kills, one block and an ace. The Colony na ve totaled 45 assists at Texas A&M-Commerce the following day along with seven digs, three kills, two blocks and a pair of aces. Aduddell finished with five kills while commi ng no errors on the weekend. She currently ranks fourth in the LSC with 10.28 assists per set. Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, had an impressive 83 assists in eight sets against Tarleton State and No. 12 Angelo State this past weekend. Solid in all facets of the game, Klobedans led the team with three service aces, collected two kills and four blocks. Rylie Fuentes, Texas A&M University-Commerce, was the lead se er in a 6-2 offense that has the Lions si ng on the league’s longest winning streak... She passed out 30 assists vs Cameron and made it a double-double with 12 digs and added 2 aces... In the five-set win vs MSU, she had nearly 7 assists per set with 34 assists... Kaitlyn Kluna, Eastern New Mexico University, set the table for an offense that hit above .290 in two of the three matches this weekend, including a blistering .308 against UTPB. Melanie Hughes, Western New Mexico, paced the offense with 46 assists, reaching double-figures in all three matches. She spun in three aces, added 15 digs and two kills. She went for a high in assists with 21 versus West Texas A&M and spun in two aces against UTPB. She averaged 5.11 assists and 1.67 digs per set. LSC NOTES (Submitted by LSC SID’s) Angelo State No. 12 Angelo State improved to 14-2, 5-1 LSC as it downed Texas A&M - Kingsville, 3-1, in its only match of the week. The ASU a ack was once again led by the trio of Mallory Blauser, Brianna Sotello and Abbie Lynn. Blauser is fresh off a 16 kill performance against Texas A&M-Kingsville that averaged her 4.00 kills per set. The senior team leader also recorded her seventh double-double as she tallied a career high 17 digs against the Javelinas. Sotello followed with a 13 kill, 15 dig showing which also marked her seventh double-double for 2016. The junior also added four total blocks to her numbers for the match. Rounding out the group, Lynn checked in with nine kills and a .241 clip for the match. Anchoring the defense for the Belles was Mallory Davidson and Leiyona Young. Reigning LSC Offensive Player of the Week, Lauren Frye hit .391 with 36 kills. Andrea Aguilar led the team defensively with 51 digs while Courtney Lawson had a pair of double-doubles. Midwestern State Midwestern State dropped a pair of five-set matches on the road last weekend to Texas Woman’s and Texas A&M-Commerce to fall to 7-8 overall and 3-4 in LSC play. The Mustangs wrap up a six-match road stretch Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Southern Nazarene before returning home for LSC contests against Angelo State and Tarleton State this weekend at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Tarleton State Tarleton won its lone match of the week with a four- set win over Texas A&M-Kingsville in Stephenville. The TexAnns have three straight road games, beginning with a Friday night trip to Cameron at 7 p.m. Texas A&M-Commerce The Lions moved to 10-6 overall and 4-2 in league play with wins at home over Cameron and Midwestern State... The Lions currently have the longest winning streak in the conference at 5 matches and are undefeated in The Field House... In Friday’s 3-1 win over Cameron, the Lions hit .255 on the night with 63 kills, while the Aggies hit .059 with 31 kills... Texas A&M-Kingsville The Javelinas played tough and close matches against arguably the two best teams in the conference in Tarleton State and No. 12 Angelo State. They lost both matches in four sets to end their six match road trip. The Hogs now return home on Friday, October 7th to take on a hot West Texas A&M squad in their annual Dig Pink match, followed by a Saturday lt against new LSC member UT Permian Basin. Texas Woman’s The Pioneers opened the week with a win versus Dallas Bap st and followed up with its first two LSC wins on the season with a five-set victory against Midwestern State and a sweep of Cameron. In addi on to top performances from Heather Verrill, Melanie Hughes and Shannon Rich, Kelli McGhiey had 21 kills, while Samantha Haupeakui added 15 kills and 10 blocks. Verrill came away with a team-best 22 kills and hit .302 in the three matches this week. She also added five digs and five blocks to post 24.5 points.
