LSC VOLLEYBALL
Angelo State tops the Lone Star Conference standings with 14-1 league record. The Rambelles have won 10
straight games to build a three-game advantage.
LSC play con nues this week with 15 matches on the schedule for Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
LSC volleyball teams are 149-128 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-9 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athle c Conference teams, and 23-9 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues
in the NCAA South Central Region.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Lauren Frye, Eastern New Mexico University, SR, Amissville, Va., Highland HS
Frye recorded the third-highest kills (23) in a three-set match in school history in the win over Cameron on
Saturday. The 23 kills es for the third most in Division II in a three-set match this season. Frye added 16 kills
in the sweep of Midwestern State to average 6.50 kills per set. The senior from Amissville, Va., recorded a .500
swing percentage a er hi ng .483 and .514 against MSU and CU, respec vely.
DEFENSIVE
Mallory Davidson, Angelo State University, SO, Aus n, Texas, McNeil HS
Davidson played a huge role for the Belles’ defense this week as she assisted the team in holding its opponents
to a meager combined hi ng percentage of .083. The sophomore recorded a career high 33 digs against the
Lady Buffs last Friday and recorded a team high total of 69 digs for the week. With this week’s top performance,
she took over first place on the team with 295 total digs in the 2016 season. Since making her debut as the
star ng libero on October 1 against Texas A&M - Kingsville, she has averaged a solid 5.60 digs per set. The
Aus n, Texas na ve also co-led the squad from the service line with three aces on the week.
SETTER
Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, FR, San Antonio, Texas, Johnson HS
Parker con nued to play a key role in the ASU offensive onslaught during this week’s three victories. With 119
assists this past week, the freshman has already climbed into the 10th slot in the Angelo State record books
for career assists (978). She averaged 11.90 assists per set and is hovering at a LSC leading 11.65 assists per set
for 2016. Also turning in a stellar defensive performance this week, she recorded her seventh double-double
against West Texas A&M as she turned in 14 digs accompanied by 50 assists for the night. This assisted in
placing her third overall on the squad with 29 total digs for the week. Parker completed her defensive stats for
the week by adding five total blocks.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, the na onal leader in kills and points was at it again last week,
leading the TexAnns to a pair of wins – including their 20th of the season and the first ever sweep of West Texas
A&M in Tarleton history. Roberts went for 52 kills in three matches, led by a .282 hi ng performance against
the Lady Buffs Saturday. She also added 27 digs with two double-double performances – both Tarleton victories
– while also tacking on three assists, three aces, and two blocks.
Krystal Faison, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, led the team with 45 points on 34 kills, nine aces, and
four total blocks. In both matches against A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman’s, Faison put on double-double
performances with 16 kills and 15 digs, and 18 kills and 15 digs, respec vely. In the midst of defea ng TWU, the
junior out of Converse, Texas became the eighth Javelina to achieve 1,000 career kills.
Heather Verrill, Western New Mexico, far and away led the Lady Mustangs on offense during the two-match
road swing piling up 33 kills and hi ng nearly .300. She also added three digs and nine blocks, with one coming
solo and tallying 38 points. Verrill had double-digit kills in both matches, going for 19 kills and hi ng .325 in the
five-set win over Midwestern State.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY RELEASE 2
Commerce went 2-0 on the road against Texas
Woman’s and A&M-Kingsville. Her 16 kills at
Kingsville led the Lions from two sets down for a five-
set victory. She ranks 14th in the conference in kills/
set this season.
Tulani Titley, Angelo State University, making an all-
around statement this week, was freshman Titley. The
middle blocker ed a season high marking eight kills
against West Texas A&M in route to recording a team
fourth 21 total kills for the week. She also recorded a
team best .472 clip for the week. Defensively, Titley
co-led the Belles with 11 total blocks and a pair of
solo blocks. She has a total of 50 blocks on the season
which places her third on the squad.
Ashley Mataele, Western New Mexico, was on
fire on the back row collec ng 53 digs, averaging
5.89 digs per set. She also added 12 assists and a
service ace. She started the week off strong with 31
digs in the four sets against Cameron. In the win over
Midwestern State, Mataele added 22 digs in the five-
set win.
Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton State University,
con nued to fly around the back row of the TexAnn
defense as the sophomore libero recorded 52 digs
in 10 sets for 5.20 digs per set to lead the TexAnns
to two wins last week, including the program’s first
ever sweep of West Texas A&M. Knutson highlighted
her week with 22 digs in Friday night’s win over UT
Permian Basin.
Ashley Mireles, Texas A&M University-Commerce,
went over 500 digs for the seasons to help lead the
Lions to a 2-0 week with wins at Texas Woman’s and
A&M-Kingsville. In the 3-1 win at TWU, she averaged
just under 6 digs per set. She con nues to lead the
conference in digs with over 100 more than her
nearest compe on this season and the only player
averaging more than 5.0 digs/set.
Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, con nued
to lead the Tarleton offense from the se er posi on
as the junior from Hawaii dished out 105 assists to
lead the TexAnns to a pair of wins, including the
school’s first sweep of West Texas A&M Saturday
a ernoon. Keamo reached the 40-assist plateau in
Friday’s win over UTPB before dishing out 36 against
WT Saturday. She also had five aces against the Lady
Buffs Saturday.
Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville,
paced the Javelinas with 91 total assists and average
10.11 assists per set in the weekend split against
A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman’s. The team had a
hi ng percentage of .237 and Klobedans also added
four kills and three aces.
Alexis Aguirre, Eastern New Mexico University,
recorded a pair of 20+ assists performances this
weekend, good for 8.50 assists/set in the two three-
set matches. She set the table for an offense that hit
.283 and saw a pair of players hit .500 or be er.
Rylie Fuentes, Texas A&M University-Commerce,
pushed the offense in the Lions’ 2-0 week with wins at
Texas Woman’s and A&M-Kingsville. She averaged 7.0
assists/set in the 4-set win at TWU in a 6-2 offense.
Her se ng also led the Lions to a comeback win in
Kingsville, as they trailed 2-0 before coming back for
a 3-2 win.
Melanie Hughes, Western New Mexico, again
setup the offense with 55 assists, along with a kill,
a service ace and 21 digs. She posted a high of 28
assists in the five-set win over Midwestern State a er
pu ng up 27 against Cameron. Hughes had a double-
double with 16 digs against Midwestern State. She
averaged 6.11 assists per set.

SID’s)
Angelo State
Despite downing all three of its opponents this week,
the Belles (23-2, 14-1 LSC) remained No. 10 in the
AVCA rankings. ASU extended its home winning
streak to 12-0 with the week’s victories. Mallory
Blauser, Abbie Lynn and Brianna Sotello headed the
a ack for ASU this week. Blauser totaled 43 kills this
week which gave the senior an outstanding 4.30 kills
per set average. Assis ng the Belles defense, she
also turned in a team second 50 digs and team third
eight blocks for the week. Lynn was second on the
squad in total kills in last week’s matches with 23.
She averaged 2.30 kills per set and a .247 clip for
the week. She tallied a team second seven blocks on
defense. Sotello rounded out the group recording
22 total kills for the tough week, which averaged
the junior 3.14 kills per set. In addi on, the junior
recorded a team third 40 digs for the week. Morgan
Seaton and Micheala Sifuentes helped to anchor the
ASU defense. Seaton recorded a team second 10 total
blocks. She added 16 total kills to her numbers for the
week. Sifuentes tallied a team fi h 20 total digs. She
is currently fourth on the squad with 218 total digs
on the season. The No. 10 Belles begin the week with
a long road trip to Kingsville where it will face the
Javelinas and Texas A&M Interna onal. It will then
cap the week with a pair of home matches against
Cameron and Midwestern State.

Eastern New Mexico
The Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds went 2-0 on
the week, picking up wins against Midwestern State
and Cameron. The four-match winning streak and 14
wins by the ‘Hounds is the longest and most since the
2004 season. Eastern has recorded four-consecu ve
sweeps for the first me since 2001. Brooklyn Biel
and Lauren Frye hit .514 and .500, respec vely to
lead the offensive effort for Eastern.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State dropped three matches last
weekend inside D.L. Ligon Coliseum to fall to 11-16
overall and 5-10 in LSC play. The Mustangs began the
weekend with a 3-0 loss Friday to Eastern New Mexico
to split the season series with the Greyhounds.
Western New Mexico swept the series with MSU
the following day with a 3-2 victory in a back-and-
forth ba le. Midwestern wrapped up its Saturday
doubleheader with a 3-1 loss to Southern Nazarene
in a non-conference mee ng with the Crimson Storm.
The Mustangs conclude their homestand Tuesday at
6 p.m. against Texas Woman’s.
Tarleton State
Tarleton won two of its three games last week,
including the program’s first sweep of West Texas
A&M Saturday. The TexAnns will host Midwestern
State and Cameron this weekend.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions went 2-0 last week with road wins at Texas
Woman’s and A&M-Kingsville. The Lions are now 15-
11 overall and 9-6 in the Lone Star Conference. In
Tuesday’s 3-1 win at TWU, six different players had
at least eight kills. Taryn Driver and Neka Nelson each
had 11 kills to lead A&M-Commerce. Layne Li le had
10 kills, Sydney Reyes and Shantel Norton both had
nine and Jaslyn Wacker added eight. Reyes hit .500 on

to lead the Lions. Ashley Mireles had 23 digs in the
match to eclipse the 500 dig mark this season. Se er
Rylie Fuentes had 28 assists while teammate Gabriela
Rosa added 27 assists. In the 3-2 win at A&M-
Kingsville, the Lions came back from 2 sets down to
take a big road win. The Lions had a trio of double-
digit killers, accoun ng for 45 of the team’s 59 kills.
Taryn Driver led the team with 16 kills. Layne Li le had
15 and Jaryn Wacker added 14 for A&M-Commerce.
Jaslyn Wacker had four service aces in the match. The
Lions had six aces, their eighth consecu ve match
with at least that many. Rylie Fuentes led the Lions
with 28 assists and 23 digs. Ashley Mireles added
23 digs for A&M-Commerce. The Lions have three
matches this week, playing at Cameron on Tuesday
before hos ng Western New Mexico on Friday and
Eastern New Mexico on Saturday.
Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Javelinas went .500 this weekend a er losing
to A&M-Commerce 2-3 but bounced back to defeat
Texas Woman’s 3-1. With the win, the Javelinas have
won 20 regular season matches for the first me
since 1997 and ten LSC matches for the first me
since 1996. The Hogs will have a busy Tuesday as they
face No.10 Angelo State and Texas A&M Interna onal
at home before hi ng the road for West Texas A&M
and UT Permian Basin.
Texas Woman’s
The Pioneers dropped two contests this week, both
in four sets, at home to Texas A&M-Commerce and at
Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Western New Mexico
WNMU recovered from a tough loss to Cameron to
open the trip by coming back with a strong five-set
win over Midwestern State. Heather Verrill is closing
in on 250 kills moving to 247 a er a solid two-match
trip. Melanie Hughes is approaching 500 assists and
Ashley Mataele went over 400 digs. Verrill far and
away led the Lady Mustangs on offense during the
two-match road swing piling up 33 kills and hi ng
nearly .300. She also added three digs and nine
blocks, with one coming solo and tallying 38 points.

for 19 kills and hi ng .325 in the five-set win over
Midwestern State. Mataele was on fire on the back

The Rambelles have won 10 straight games to build a three-game advantage. LSC play con nues this week with 15 matches on the schedule for Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. LSC volleyball teams are 149-128 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-9 combined versus Rocky Mountain Athle c Conference teams, and 23-9 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region. PLAYERS OF THE WEEK OFFENSIVE Lauren Frye, Eastern New Mexico University, SR, Amissville, Va., Highland HS Frye recorded the third-highest kills (23) in a three-set match in school history in the win over Cameron on Saturday. The 23 kills es for the third most in Division II in a three-set match this season. Frye added 16 kills in the sweep of Midwestern State to average 6.50 kills per set. The senior from Amissville, Va., recorded a .500 swing percentage a er hi ng .483 and .514 against MSU and CU, respec vely. DEFENSIVE Mallory Davidson, Angelo State University, SO, Aus n, Texas, McNeil HS Davidson played a huge role for the Belles’ defense this week as she assisted the team in holding its opponents to a meager combined hi ng percentage of .083. The sophomore recorded a career high 33 digs against the Lady Buffs last Friday and recorded a team high total of 69 digs for the week. With this week’s top performance, she took over first place on the team with 295 total digs in the 2016 season. Since making her debut as the star ng libero on October 1 against Texas A&M - Kingsville, she has averaged a solid 5.60 digs per set. The Aus n, Texas na ve also co-led the squad from the service line with three aces on the week. SETTER Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, FR, San Antonio, Texas, Johnson HS Parker con nued to play a key role in the ASU offensive onslaught during this week’s three victories. With 119 assists this past week, the freshman has already climbed into the 10th slot in the Angelo State record books for career assists (978). She averaged 11.90 assists per set and is hovering at a LSC leading 11.65 assists per set for 2016. Also turning in a stellar defensive performance this week, she recorded her seventh double-double against West Texas A&M as she turned in 14 digs accompanied by 50 assists for the night. This assisted in placing her third overall on the squad with 29 total digs for the week. Parker completed her defensive stats for the week by adding five total blocks. OTHER TOP PERFORMERS Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, the na onal leader in kills and points was at it again last week, leading the TexAnns to a pair of wins – including their 20th of the season and the first ever sweep of West Texas A&M in Tarleton history. Roberts went for 52 kills in three matches, led by a .282 hi ng performance against the Lady Buffs Saturday. She also added 27 digs with two double-double performances – both Tarleton victories – while also tacking on three assists, three aces, and two blocks. Krystal Faison, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, led the team with 45 points on 34 kills, nine aces, and four total blocks. In both matches against A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman’s, Faison put on double-double performances with 16 kills and 15 digs, and 18 kills and 15 digs, respec vely. In the midst of defea ng TWU, the junior out of Converse, Texas became the eighth Javelina to achieve 1,000 career kills. Heather Verrill, Western New Mexico, far and away led the Lady Mustangs on offense during the two-match road swing piling up 33 kills and hi ng nearly .300. She also added three digs and nine blocks, with one coming solo and tallying 38 points. Verrill had double-digit kills in both matches, going for 19 kills and hi ng .325 in the five-set win over Midwestern State.   • 2. LONE STAR CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY RELEASE 2 Commerce went 2-0 on the road against Texas Woman’s and A&M-Kingsville. Her 16 kills at Kingsville led the Lions from two sets down for a five- set victory. She ranks 14th in the conference in kills/ set this season. Tulani Titley, Angelo State University, making an all- around statement this week, was freshman Titley. The middle blocker ed a season high marking eight kills against West Texas A&M in route to recording a team fourth 21 total kills for the week. She also recorded a team best .472 clip for the week. Defensively, Titley co-led the Belles with 11 total blocks and a pair of solo blocks. She has a total of 50 blocks on the season which places her third on the squad. Ashley Mataele, Western New Mexico, was on fire on the back row collec ng 53 digs, averaging 5.89 digs per set. She also added 12 assists and a service ace. She started the week off strong with 31 digs in the four sets against Cameron. In the win over Midwestern State, Mataele added 22 digs in the five- set win. Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton State University, con nued to fly around the back row of the TexAnn defense as the sophomore libero recorded 52 digs in 10 sets for 5.20 digs per set to lead the TexAnns to two wins last week, including the program’s first ever sweep of West Texas A&M. Knutson highlighted her week with 22 digs in Friday night’s win over UT Permian Basin. Ashley Mireles, Texas A&M University-Commerce, went over 500 digs for the seasons to help lead the Lions to a 2-0 week with wins at Texas Woman’s and A&M-Kingsville. In the 3-1 win at TWU, she averaged just under 6 digs per set. She con nues to lead the conference in digs with over 100 more than her nearest compe on this season and the only player averaging more than 5.0 digs/set. Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, con nued to lead the Tarleton offense from the se er posi on as the junior from Hawaii dished out 105 assists to lead the TexAnns to a pair of wins, including the school’s first sweep of West Texas A&M Saturday a ernoon. Keamo reached the 40-assist plateau in Friday’s win over UTPB before dishing out 36 against WT Saturday. She also had five aces against the Lady Buffs Saturday. Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, paced the Javelinas with 91 total assists and average 10.11 assists per set in the weekend split against A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman’s. The team had a hi ng percentage of .237 and Klobedans also added four kills and three aces. Alexis Aguirre, Eastern New Mexico University, recorded a pair of 20+ assists performances this weekend, good for 8.50 assists/set in the two three- set matches. She set the table for an offense that hit .283 and saw a pair of players hit .500 or be er. Rylie Fuentes, Texas A&M University-Commerce, pushed the offense in the Lions’ 2-0 week with wins at Texas Woman’s and A&M-Kingsville. She averaged 7.0 assists/set in the 4-set win at TWU in a 6-2 offense. Her se ng also led the Lions to a comeback win in Kingsville, as they trailed 2-0 before coming back for a 3-2 win. Melanie Hughes, Western New Mexico, again setup the offense with 55 assists, along with a kill, a service ace and 21 digs. She posted a high of 28 assists in the five-set win over Midwestern State a er pu ng up 27 against Cameron. Hughes had a double- double with 16 digs against Midwestern State. She averaged 6.11 assists per set. LSC NOTES (Submitted by LSC SID’s) Angelo State Despite downing all three of its opponents this week, the Belles (23-2, 14-1 LSC) remained No. 10 in the AVCA rankings. ASU extended its home winning streak to 12-0 with the week’s victories. Mallory Blauser, Abbie Lynn and Brianna Sotello headed the a ack for ASU this week. Blauser totaled 43 kills this week which gave the senior an outstanding 4.30 kills per set average. Assis ng the Belles defense, she also turned in a team second 50 digs and team third eight blocks for the week. Lynn was second on the squad in total kills in last week’s matches with 23. She averaged 2.30 kills per set and a .247 clip for the week. She tallied a team second seven blocks on defense. Sotello rounded out the group recording 22 total kills for the tough week, which averaged the junior 3.14 kills per set. In addi on, the junior recorded a team third 40 digs for the week. Morgan Seaton and Micheala Sifuentes helped to anchor the ASU defense. Seaton recorded a team second 10 total blocks. She added 16 total kills to her numbers for the week. Sifuentes tallied a team fi h 20 total digs. She is currently fourth on the squad with 218 total digs on the season. The No. 10 Belles begin the week with a long road trip to Kingsville where it will face the Javelinas and Texas A&M Interna onal. It will then cap the week with a pair of home matches against Cameron and Midwestern State. Cameron 1-1 last week. Eastern New Mexico The Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds went 2-0 on the week, picking up wins against Midwestern State and Cameron. The four-match winning streak and 14 wins by the ‘Hounds is the longest and most since the 2004 season. Eastern has recorded four-consecu ve sweeps for the first me since 2001. Brooklyn Biel and Lauren Frye hit .514 and .500, respec vely to lead the offensive effort for Eastern. Midwestern State Midwestern State dropped three matches last weekend inside D.L. Ligon Coliseum to fall to 11-16 overall and 5-10 in LSC play. The Mustangs began the weekend with a 3-0 loss Friday to Eastern New Mexico to split the season series with the Greyhounds. Western New Mexico swept the series with MSU the following day with a 3-2 victory in a back-and- forth ba le. Midwestern wrapped up its Saturday doubleheader with a 3-1 loss to Southern Nazarene in a non-conference mee ng with the Crimson Storm. The Mustangs conclude their homestand Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Texas Woman’s. Tarleton State Tarleton won two of its three games last week, including the program’s first sweep of West Texas A&M Saturday. The TexAnns will host Midwestern State and Cameron this weekend. Texas A&M-Commerce The Lions went 2-0 last week with road wins at Texas Woman’s and A&M-Kingsville. The Lions are now 15- 11 overall and 9-6 in the Lone Star Conference. In Tuesday’s 3-1 win at TWU, six different players had at least eight kills. Taryn Driver and Neka Nelson each had 11 kills to lead A&M-Commerce. In the 3-2 win at A&M- Kingsville, the Lions came back from 2 sets down to take a big road win. The Lions had a trio of double- digit killers, accoun ng for 45 of the team’s 59 kills. Taryn Driver led the team with 16 kills. Layne Li le had 15 and Jaryn Wacker added 14 for A&M-Commerce. Jaslyn Wacker had four service aces in the match. Texas A&M-Kingsville The Javelinas went .500 this weekend a er losing to A&M-Commerce 2-3 but bounced back to defeat Texas Woman’s 3-1. With the win, the Javelinas have won 20 regular season matches for the first me since 1997 and ten LSC matches for the first me since 1996. The Hogs will have a busy Tuesday as they face No.10 Angelo State and Texas A&M Interna onal at home before hi ng the road for West Texas A&M and UT Permian Basin. Texas Woman’s The Pioneers dropped two contests this week, both in four sets, at home to Texas A&M-Commerce and at Texas A&M-Kingsville. UT Permian Basin 0-2 last week. West Texas A&M 0-2 last week. Western New Mexico WNMU recovered from a tough loss to Cameron to open the trip by coming back with a strong five-set win over Midwestern State.
