LSC VOLLEYBALL
Tarleton State claimed its second Lone Star Conference Championship and will be the top seed and host for the
championship tournament November 16-17-18.
The eight teams – Tarleton, Texas A&M-Commerce, Angelo State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, West Texas A&M, Texas
Woman’s, Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico - are set for the tournament with the seeding to be
determined over the last two matches.
LSC volleyball teams are 157-152 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-17 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 13-6 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the
NCAA South Central Region.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Shelby Sheets, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, FR, San Antonio, Texas, Antonian College Preparatory
Sheets had an incredible week, registering team-highs of 47 points behind 45 kills and 4.50 kills per set. Sheets went off
for 25 kills with a .380 hitting percentage in a critical 3-1 win against West Texas A&M to end the week. The 25 kills were
not only a career-high but ties for fifth in the school's record book, and are the second most in the LSC this season. The
week started with her leading the team with 12 kills at No. 23 Angelo State and eight kills against UT Permian Basin.
DEFENSIVE
Morgan Seaton, Angelo State University, SR, Big Spring, Texas, Big Spring HS
Seaton continues to be a dominant force for the Belles defense in three victories. The senior leader paced the team
along the net with 12 total blocks averaging her 1.20 blocks per set to hold opponents to a .124 hitting percentage. She
not only turned in a team high four blocks against Texas A&M-Kingsville, but also in the Belles last match against
Midwestern State. In addition, the middle blocker tallied 11 total digs. With a .311 attack percentage, she also
contributed 26 kills during the trio of matches placing her second in the category for the week.
SETTER
Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, SO, San Antonio, Texas, Johnson HS
Parker continues to handle most of the distribution duties for Angelo State as the sophomore recorded 128 assists on
the week in wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville, Cameron and Midwestern State. This averaged the setter 12.80 assists per
set as the Rambelles hit .257. She also put in some serious work from the service line as she led ASU with seven total

2. aces. Defensively, Parker averaged 2.50 digs per set as she totaled 25 digs. Upon completion of the week she also had
five kills and a pair of blocks to her name.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Briley Cole, Texas Woman's University, eclipsed her career-best of 16 kills by seven with an impressive hitting
percentage of .537 that included just a single error on 41 attempts in a win over Midwestern State. The 23 kills rank as
the third-highest output within the Lone Star Conference this season. The senior also tallied team-highs in kills in the
matches against Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico.

3. Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, added another league championship to her illustrious career resume
Saturday afternoon as the senior from Cedar Park led the TexAnns to their second Lone Star Conference Championship
and third league title in four years. Last weekend, Roberts landed a team-high 29 kills to lead the TexAnns to victories
over Midwestern State and Cameron. In addition to her 29 kills, Roberts boasted four assists, a service ace, 29 digs, five
blocks, and 33.5 total points. She also had a 1.000 serve-receive percentage on 38 attempts and a double-double in each
of the two matches.
Alanna Watt, Western New Mexico, tied for the team lead in kills with 28, while also tallying two service aces, 15
digs and five blocks. She went for a high in kills with 11 twice, posting a .357 hitting percentage on senior day against
Texas Woman's with just one error in 28 swings. She averaged 2.80 kills and 1.50 digs per set.
Anna Graham, Angelo State University, headed the offense efforts for the Belles in the team's trio of wins this week.
The sophomore turned in a team second 26 kills for the week. This averaged her 2.60 kills per set and an outstanding
.377 attack percentage. She led the ASU offense will 11 kills and a .625 clip in a pivotal match-up midweek match-up
against Texas A&M - Kingsville. Defensively, the Bushland, Texas native turned in a squad second 11 total blocks on the
week, averaging 1.10 blocks per set. This included a team most three solo blocks, with two coming on the road against
Cameron.
Ashley Mataele, Western New Mexico, had several big matches on the back row with 58 digs, averaging 5.80 per set.
She went for over 20 two times with a high of 23 on senior night against Texas Woman's. She added 21 in the four-set
win against the Lions. For the week she added 12 assists and two service aces.
Courtney Rabius, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, was all over the floor, finishing the weekend with 5.50 digs per
set in three matches. Against West Texas A&M, Rabius produced a career-high 28 digs to help hold the talented Lady
Buffs offense to a .189 attack percentage. She also recorded a season-high five assists in the match.
Bailey French, Texas Woman's University, registered a match-high 25 digs in a win versus Midwestern State. The
sophomore also tallied team-highs in digs against Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico.
Brandy Carr, Cameron University, led the Aggies with 16 total blocks and 1.33 per set during CU's three matches last
week. The junior had six blocks against Texas A&M-Commerce and then nine, including three solos, in the four-set loss
to Angelo State. Carr helped hold the Rambelles, one of the top offensive teams in the conference, to just a .147 attack
percentage, while CU totaled 19 blocks as a team. Carr is third in the LSC with 1.18 blocks per set and second with 118
total. Nationally, she is ranked 22nd in total blocks and 31st in blocks per set.
Hannah McManus, Tarleton State University, led Tarleton with seven blocks in seven matches to help clinch
Tarleton's second Lone Star Conference Championship. The junior middle blocker averaged 1.0 block per set for the
TexAnns and had five in Friday's win at Midwestern State. McManus also had 16 kills on a team-high .351 hitting clip for
the week.
Katy Ranes, Texas Woman's University, directed TWU to a pair of LSC wins on the week to secure a berth in the
conference tournament. Versus Midwestern State, the sophomore racked up her eighth double-double on the season
with 56 assists and 18 digs while also contributing five kills, two blocks and an ace. In the three-set win at Western New
Mexico, Ranes recorded a match-high 45 assists to tie for the ninth-highest output in a three-set match in Division II this
season. Throughout the three matches, Ranes totaled 131 assists, 32 digs, 12 kills, three blocks and an ace.
Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, continued to lead the Tarleton offense as the Keamo-led TexAnns secured
their second LSC regular season championship with a sweep of Cameron Saturday afternoon. Keamo dished out 78
assists in seven sets as the TexAnns hit .226 as a team. She had a double-double effort against Midwestern State with 43
assists and 11 digs. For the week, she totaled nine kills, five aces, 15 digs, five blocks, and 16.5 total points.
Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, navigated the Javelina offense with 10.40 assists per set as they
registered a .224 clip over ten sets. Her best performance of the week was in the upset against West Texas A&M where
she recorded a double-double with 53 assists and 11 digs. She also finished with seven kills in that match, including the
dagger to end it in the fourth set. All-in-all, the senior finished with 25 digs, 13 kills, three blocks, and one ace.

4. Cristal Carrizoza, Western New Mexico, once again led the offense with 76 assists, averaging 7.60 per set. She went
for a high in assists with 34 in the four-set win against the Lions. She added 23 in three sets against Texas Woman's. She
also added a pair of kills, three service aces, 29 digs and four blocks.

Angelo State
No.25 Angelo State came away with a trio of victories to complete the week. The Belles climbed to third in the
conference after downing Texas A&M-Kingsville in San Angelo early in the week. The team then hit the road and took
down Cameron and Midwestern State. This left ASU sitting at 19-8, 11-7 LSC on the season. Looking forward the Belles
will close out its regular season with a pair of home matches against Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico. The
team will honor its seniors in its home finale on Saturday, November 11 against the Mustangs.

Tarleton secured its second LSC regular season championship Saturday afternoon and will wrap up the regular season
this weekend.

Despite starting the week slow, being swept at No. 23 Angelo State, the Javelinas bounced back with a sweep of their
own versus UT Permian Basin before downing West Texas A&M in four sets on senior day. The Javelinas ended the Lady
Buffs six-match winning streak and more importantly, claimed a dub over a team ranked above them in the South
Central Regional rankings. Freshman Shelby Sheets torched the opposition all week with 45 kills (4.50 per set), including
a career-high 25 kills against WT. Haley Hutchinson dominated the net with 1.10 blocks per set and Klobedans registered
10.40 assists per set. TAMUK will end the regular season on the road with a Friday match at Midwestern (7 p.m.) and
Saturday contest at Cameron (2 p.m.).

5. Western New Mexico
Despite tough matches against West Texas A&M and Texas Woman's, the Lady Mustangs picked up a big win in the
middle of the three matches taking down Texas A&M-Commerce in four sets. Alanna Watt, Cristal Carrizoza and Ashley
Mataele all had big weeks to power WNMU. Watt tied for the team lead in kills with 28, while also tallying two service
aces, 15 digs and five blocks. She went for a high in kills with 11 twice, posting a .357 hitting percentage on senior day
against Texas Woman's with just one error in 28 swings. She averaged 2.80 kills and 1.50 digs per set. Carrizoza once
again led the offense with 76 assists, averaging 7.60 per set. She went for a high in assists with 34 in the four-set win
against the Lions. She added 23 in three sets against Texas Woman's. She also added a pair of kills, three service aces, 29
digs and four blocks. Mataele had several big matches on the back row with 58 digs, averaging 5.80 per set. She went
for over 20 two times with a high of 23 on senior night against Texas Woman's. She added 21 in the four-set win against
