LONE STAR CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY RELEASE

LSC VOLLEYBALL
The field is set for the annual Lone Star Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament, which begins Thursday in
Stephenville, Texas.
Tarleton State is the top seed and host after capturing the program’s second LSC Championship with an 18-2 league
record.
The single-elimination tournament consists of four first-round matches on Thursday, followed by two semifinal
games on Friday evening and the championship match on Saturday.
Action starts on Thursday at 12 p.m. with No. 3 Angelo State against No. 6 Texas Woman’s followed by No. 2 Texas
A&M-Commerce versus No. 7 Western New Mexico at 2:30 p.m., No. 4 Texas A&M-Kingsville against No. 5 West Texas
A&M at 5 p.m. and No. 1 Tarleton versus No. 8 Eastern New Mexico at 7:30 p.m.
All seven games will be streamed live free of charge through the LSC’s GameCentral portal
(http://portal.stretchinternet.com/lonestar). In addition to supporting desktop and laptop computers, GameCentral's
responsive design will support mobile devices as well (iPad, iPhones, Android). Additionally the games can be seen
through custom applications on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV.
LSC volleyball teams are 169-163 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-17 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 13-6 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the
NCAA South Central Region.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, SR, Cedar Park, Texas, Cedar Park HS
Roberts closed out her final regular season as a TexAnn with a bang as the senior landed 31 kills on a .338 hitting
percentage in back-to-back sweeps of Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico to close out the regular season.
Roberts averaged 5.17 kills per set for the weekend. She landed 18 kills in Friday's win over WNMU, in which she had a
double-double performance along with 12 digs, before landing 13 kills in her final regular season game for Tarleton. For
the week, she totaled 33.0 points and added an ace, an assist, two blocks, and boasted a 1.000 serve-receive percentage
on 17 chances.
DEFENSIVE
Bailey Mulder, Angelo State University, FR, Houston, Texas, Cypress Ranch HS
Mulder continued to lead the Belles defense in its final two regular season matches of the year. The freshman dug 44
balls to average 7.33 digs per set in sweeps of Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico. Her 26 digs against
WNMU was the second most the libero has recorded during her inaugural season as a Belle. Mulder also aided the
offensive scoring as she fired a pair of aces over the net and added a team second two assists for the week.
SETTER
Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, SO, San Antonio, Texas, Johnson HS
Parker once again did an excellent job distributing the rock for the Angelo State in a pair of wins this week. The San
Antonio native tallied 94 total assists for the week. This averaged her 15.67 assists per set as she helped the Belles to a
.327 hitting percentage. Turning in 51 assists against Western New Mexico and 43 against Eastern New Mexico marked
her ninth match this season with at least 40 assists. Parker also added her eighth double-double with a 12-dig
performance against the Greyhounds. Completing her numbers for the week, the sophomore added a block and an ace.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Brianna Sotello , Angelo State University, continued to lead the Angelo State attack as it closed out its regular
season this week. Recording a .338 clip, the senior headed the team averaging a solid 5.00 kills per set as she totaled 30
for the week. This included a 19 kill, 13 dig double-double during her last match in the Stephens Arena at the Junell
Center as the Belles hosted Western New Mexico for Senior Day. Sotello went on to finish the pair of matches with a
team second 21 digs to aid the Belles defensive efforts. She also added a service ace and a dig to her final numbers.
Meghan Bettis, Midwestern State University, closed her career strong posting 51 kills (4.25 per set) and hitting .274
as Midwestern State claimed wins in two of three matches in the season's final week. The 5-10 outside hitter posted a
career-high 23 kills and hit .281 in a five-set win Tuesday night at Dallas Baptist. Bettis was brilliant in Thursday's sweep
of Cameron slamming down 15 kills with three errors in 29 attempts to hit .414 before going for 14 kills and hitting .184
in a setback to Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Dripping Springs native used the strong finish to move to 10th on MSU's all-
time kills list with 938. She ranked fifth overall in the LSC with 3.04 kills per set and was fourth in league play averaging
3.08.
Layne Little, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions with 30 kills last week with an impressive .329 hitting
percentage. She had 15 kills against UT Permian Basin in the Lions 3-1 win, hitting .500 in the match. Little then had 15
kills in the Lions' 3-1 win over West Texas A&M. She also had five blocks and eight digs in the match, helping the Lions to
a perfect home season and their highest finish in the LSC standings since 2002. Little finished the regular season with a
team-high 300 kills.
Miri Shade, Texas Woman's University, posted her ninth double-double of the season with a match-high 12 kills and
13 digs in a sweep of UT Permian Basin Saturday to help the Pioneers secure the sixth seed heading into the LSC
tournament. Against West Texas A&M, the senior posted a team-high 14 kills and tallied 13 digs. In the two matches,
Shade added five blocks and a trio of aces.
Jaslyn Wacker, Texas A&M University-Commerce, put on another stellar defensive performance for the Lions last
weekend. She had eight blocks and six digs in the Lions' 3-1 win over UT Permian Basin. She also added nine kills with a
.333 hitting percentage and two aces. She then had six blocks and a dig against West Texas A&M as the Lion defense
held the Lady Buffs to a .129 hitting percentage. Wacker also had 17 kills in the match while hitting .353. She led the
team with 35 points in the two matches. Wacker is second in the LSC in hitting percentage and fourth in blocks.
Raven Presley, Midwestern State University, played a key defensive role in helping the Mustangs to wins in two of
their final three matches last week as the Mustangs upped their season win total to 15 -- the most for the program since
2013. The frosh from Richardson recorded 18 total blocks for an average of 1.50 per set as MSU held the opposition to a
.180 hitting percentage. The 6-foot middle blocker had five total blocks at Dallas Baptist, seven against Cameron and six
versus Texas A&M-Kingsville. She was also strong on the attack going for 1.75 kills per set with a stout .226 hitting
percentage.
Haley Collins, Texas Woman's University, played in her first match in over a month and racked up a match-high
seven blocks along with six kills in a sweep over UT Permian Basin to help the Pioneers to secure the sixth seed in the
LSC tournament. The senior averaged an impressive 2.33 blocks per set against the Falcons.
Brandy Carr, Cameron University, once again was dominant in the middle for CU, recording 11 total blocks in just six
sets this week. She averaged 1.83 blocks per set, recording five against Midwestern State and six against Texas A&M-
Kingsville. The junior also had 13 kills with 2.17 per set and a .290 hitting percentage for the Aggies. Carr is third in the
LSC with 1.22 blocks per set and tied for second with 129 total blocks. Nationally, she is ranked 20th in total blocks and
26th in blocks per set.
Hannah McManus, Tarleton State University, was a force in the middle for the TexAnns as the junior boasted a
team-high seven blocks in back-to-back sweeps of Western and Eastern New Mexico. In addition to her 1.17 blocks per
set for the weekend, she was also second on the team with 15 kills and a .538 hitting percentage. She totaled 18.5 points
for the TexAnns in six sets. McManus' dominance at the net helped Tarleton to hold the Mustangs and Greyhounds to a
combined .011 hitting percentage for the weekend.
Kristan Aduddell, Midwestern State University, fought off an ankle injury to lead Midwestern State to wins in two of
their final three matches to cinch 15 wins -- the most for the program since 2013. The senior from The Colony posted a
career-high 60 assists and completed her eighth double-double of the campaign with 12 digs in a five-set win Tuesday at
Dallas Baptist. Aduddell then notched 41 set assists in a sweep of Cameron before going for 37 assists against Texas
A&M-Kingsville. For the week, Aduddell averaged 11.50 assists per set while leading MSU to a .214 team hitting
percentage. She ranked second overall in the Lone Star Conference with 10.31 assists per set.
Katy Ranes, Texas Woman's University, distributed a match-high 34 assists in a sweep over UT Permian Basin to help
TWU secure the sixth seed in the LSC tournament. The sophomore tossed out 44 helpers against West Texas A&M. In
the two matches, Ranes also tallied 16 digs, three kills and a pair of blocks.
Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, paced one of Tarleton's best offensive performances of the year last
weekend as the TexAnns swept Western and Eastern New Mexico to close out the regular season. Keamo dished out 58
assists for an average of 9.67 assists per set while the Tarleton offense hit .307 as a team, led by five players with a .300
hitting clip or higher. For the week, Keamo also had six kills, six service aces, 11 digs, three blocks, and 13.5 points.
Gabriela Rosa, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions with 48 assists last week. She had 19 assists in the
Lions' 3-1 win over UT Permian Basin. The team hit .302 in that match. Rosa then had 29 assists against West Texas
A&M, helping the Lions to a 3-1 win. She also had three aces in the match as the Lions clinched a perfect home season.

Angelo State
No.25 Angelo State came away with a pair of sweeps over Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico this week as it
celebrated its senior class. The Belles completed the 2017 regular season with a 21-8, 13-7 LSC record as it looks forward
to the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament. ASU is seeded third in the tournament and will open up with
sixth seeded Texas Woman's. The Belles are 1-1 against the Pioneers this season, as each team came away with a win on
its respective home court.
Cameron
Cameron was swept in their final regular season matches at Midwestern State and versus Texas A&M-Kingsville. Paige
Dixon tallied 14 kills on the weekend, and Brandy Carr combined for 14 blocks. On Saturday against the Javelinas, senior
setter Brook Conley Brook Conley achieved her 17th double-double of the year on 24 assists and 10 digs.
Eastern New Mexico
The Eastern New Mexico volleyball team dropped a pair of matches this past weekend on the road. Friday, ENMU fell to
25th-ranked Angelo State and lost Saturday to 14th-ranked Tarleton State. The Greyhounds open play at the LSC
Tournament this week against Tarleton.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State won two of its last three matches to close the season with 15 wins -- the most since the program won
17 in 2013... MSU coach Natalie Burton has improved the team's win total in each of her seasons at the helm going from
six in 2015 to 12 in 2016 and to 15 this season... Midwestern State honored five seniors prior to Friday night's match
against Texas A&M-Kingsville including setter Kristan Aduddell, outside hitter Meghan Bettis, outside hitter/defensive
specialist Aerielle Edwards, defensive specialist Leah Lychock and middle blocker Addison Semer along with senior
athletic trainer Danyiel Wells... Senior Aerielle Edwards posted three consecutive matches with double-figure kills this
week after playing all of the rest of the season at the team's libero... Bettis posted her third straight and 13th overall
match with double-figure kills Friday night against Texas A&M-Kingsville... Lychock closed her senior campaign strongly
with 10-or-more digs in her last three matches and in four of the last five...
Tarleton State
Tarleton swept the final two games of the regular season and will host the LSC Volleyball Tournament this week.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions defeated UT Permian Basin on Friday and West Texas A&M on Saturday to complete the regular season. The
Lions were a perfect 11-0 at home this season, just the third time in their history of finishing their home season
undefeated and the first time since 1987. The Lions are the second seed in the LSC Tournament. The second-place finish
in the LSC is the highest for the Lions since finishing second in the LSC North Division in 2002. In non-divisional formats,
the Lions last finished second in the league in 1994. They will face Western New Mexico in the first round of the LSC
Tournament on Thursday. The teams split the regular season series.
Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Javelinas end the season on a four-match winning streak after defeating Midwestern State in four sets and then
sweeping Cameron both on the road. Madison Brabham led the team with 4.29 kills per set (30 kills) followed by Lexi
Wick and Shelby Sheets with 26 and 25 kills, respectively. TAMUK was awarded the fourth seed in the LSC
Championships and will face West Texas A&M - the fifth seed - in the quarterfinals. the Javs and Lady Buffs split the
season series with both clubs winning the game on their home floor.
Texas Woman’s
TWU lost in four sets to West Texas A&M before finishing off the regular season with a sweep of UT Permian Basin to
clinch the sixth seed in the LSC Tournament.

Western New Mexico
It was a pair of tough matchups for the Lady Mustangs going against nationally-ranked Tarleton State and Angelo State.
Alanna Watt led the offense with 16 kills, while Kalie Lyle added 13. Cristal Carrizoza had 35 assists, while on defense
Ashley Mataele had 29 digs.

Tarleton State is the top seed and host after capturing the program’s second LSC Championship with an 18-2 league record. The single-elimination tournament consists of four first-round matches on Thursday, followed by two semifinal games on Friday evening and the championship match on Saturday. Action starts on Thursday at 12 p.m. with No. 3 Angelo State against No. 6 Texas Woman’s followed by No. 2 Texas A&M-Commerce versus No. 7 Western New Mexico at 2:30 p.m., No. 4 Texas A&M-Kingsville against No. 5 West Texas A&M at 5 p.m. and No. 1 Tarleton versus No. 8 Eastern New Mexico at 7:30 p.m. All seven games will be streamed live free of charge through the LSC’s GameCentral portal (http://portal.stretchinternet.com/lonestar). In addition to supporting desktop and laptop computers, GameCentral's responsive design will support mobile devices as well (iPad, iPhones, Android). Additionally the games can be seen through custom applications on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. LSC volleyball teams are 169-163 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-17 combined versus Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 13-6 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region. LSC schedule and results available here: http://www.lonestarconference.org/calendar.aspx?path=wvball& PLAYERS OF THE WEEK OFFENSIVE Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, SR, Cedar Park, Texas, Cedar Park HS Roberts closed out her final regular season as a TexAnn with a bang as the senior landed 31 kills on a .338 hitting percentage in back-to-back sweeps of Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico to close out the regular season. Roberts averaged 5.17 kills per set for the weekend. She landed 18 kills in Friday's win over WNMU, in which she had a double-double performance along with 12 digs, before landing 13 kills in her final regular season game for Tarleton. For the week, she totaled 33.0 points and added an ace, an assist, two blocks, and boasted a 1.000 serve-receive percentage on 17 chances.   • 2. Mulder continued to lead the Belles defense in its final two regular season matches of the year. The freshman dug 44 balls to average 7.33 digs per set in sweeps of Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico. Her 26 digs against WNMU was the second most the libero has recorded during her inaugural season as a Belle. Mulder also aided the offensive scoring as she fired a pair of aces over the net and added a team second two assists for the week. SETTER Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, SO, San Antonio, Texas, Johnson HS Parker once again did an excellent job distributing the rock for the Angelo State in a pair of wins this week. The San Antonio native tallied 94 total assists for the week. This averaged her 15.67 assists per set as she helped the Belles to a .327 hitting percentage. Turning in 51 assists against Western New Mexico and 43 against Eastern New Mexico marked her ninth match this season with at least 40 assists. Parker also added her eighth double-double with a 12-dig performance against the Greyhounds. Completing her numbers for the week, the sophomore added a block and an ace. Recording a .338 clip, the senior headed the team averaging a solid 5.00 kills per set as she totaled 30 for the week. This included a 19 kill, 13 dig double-double during her last match in the Stephens Arena at the Junell Center as the Belles hosted Western New Mexico for Senior Day. Sotello went on to finish the pair of matches with a team second 21 digs to aid the Belles defensive efforts. She also added a service ace and a dig to her final numbers. Meghan Bettis, Midwestern State University, closed her career strong posting 51 kills (4.25 per set) and hitting .274 as Midwestern State claimed wins in two of three matches in the season's final week. The 5-10 outside hitter posted a career-high 23 kills and hit .281 in a five-set win Tuesday night at Dallas Baptist. Bettis was brilliant in Thursday's sweep of Cameron slamming down 15 kills with three errors in 29 attempts to hit .414 before going for 14 kills and hitting .184 in a setback to Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Dripping Springs native used the strong finish to move to 10th on MSU's all- time kills list with 938. She ranked fifth overall in the LSC with 3.04 kills per set and was fourth in league play averaging 3.08. Layne Little, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions with 30 kills last week with an impressive .329 hitting percentage. She had 15 kills against UT Permian Basin in the Lions 3-1 win, hitting .500 in the match. Little then had 15 kills in the Lions' 3-1 win over West Texas A&M. She also had five blocks and eight digs in the match, helping the Lions to a perfect home season and their highest finish in the LSC standings since 2002. Little finished the regular season with a team-high 300 kills. Miri Shade, Texas Woman's University, posted her ninth double-double of the season with a match-high 12 kills and 13 digs in a sweep of UT Permian Basin Saturday to help the Pioneers secure the sixth seed heading into the LSC tournament. Against West Texas A&M, the senior posted a team-high 14 kills and tallied 13 digs. In the two matches, Shade added five blocks and a trio of aces. Jaslyn Wacker, Texas A&M University-Commerce, put on another stellar defensive performance for the Lions last weekend. She had eight blocks and six digs in the Lions' 3-1 win over UT Permian Basin. She also added nine kills with a .333 hitting percentage and two aces. She then had six blocks and a dig against West Texas A&M as the Lion defense held the Lady Buffs to a .129 hitting percentage. Wacker also had 17 kills in the match while hitting .353. She led the team with 35 points in the two matches. Wacker is second in the LSC in hitting percentage and fourth in blocks. Raven Presley, Midwestern State University, played a key defensive role in helping the Mustangs to wins in two of their final three matches last week as the Mustangs upped their season win total to 15 -- the most for the program since 2013. The frosh from Richardson recorded 18 total blocks for an average of 1.50 per set as MSU held the opposition to a .180 hitting percentage. The 6-foot middle blocker had five total blocks at Dallas Baptist, seven against Cameron and six versus Texas A&M-Kingsville. She was also strong on the attack going for 1.75 kills per set with a stout .226 hitting percentage. Haley Collins, Texas Woman's University, played in her first match in over a month and racked up a match-high seven blocks along with six kills in a sweep over UT Permian Basin to help the Pioneers to secure the sixth seed in the LSC tournament. The senior averaged an impressive 2.33 blocks per set against the Falcons. Brandy Carr, Cameron University, once again was dominant in the middle for CU, recording 11 total blocks in just six sets this week. She averaged 1.83 blocks per set, recording five against Midwestern State and six against Texas A&M- Kingsville. Hannah McManus, Tarleton State University, was a force in the middle for the TexAnns as the junior boasted a team-high seven blocks in back-to-back sweeps of Western and Eastern New Mexico. In addition to her 1.17 blocks per set for the weekend, she was also second on the team with 15 kills and a .538 hitting percentage. She totaled 18.5 points for the TexAnns in six sets. McManus' dominance at the net helped Tarleton to hold the Mustangs and Greyhounds to a combined .011 hitting percentage for the weekend. Kristan Aduddell, Midwestern State University, fought off an ankle injury to lead Midwestern State to wins in two of their final three matches to cinch 15 wins -- the most for the program since 2013. The senior from The Colony posted a career-high 60 assists and completed her eighth double-double of the campaign with 12 digs in a five-set win Tuesday at Dallas Baptist. Aduddell then notched 41 set assists in a sweep of Cameron before going for 37 assists against Texas A&M-Kingsville. For the week, Aduddell averaged 11.50 assists per set while leading MSU to a .214 team hitting percentage. She ranked second overall in the Lone Star Conference with 10.31 assists per set. Katy Ranes, Texas Woman's University, distributed a match-high 34 assists in a sweep over UT Permian Basin to help TWU secure the sixth seed in the LSC tournament. The sophomore tossed out 44 helpers against West Texas A&M. In the two matches, Ranes also tallied 16 digs, three kills and a pair of blocks. Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, paced one of Tarleton's best offensive performances of the year last weekend as the TexAnns swept Western and Eastern New Mexico to close out the regular season. Keamo dished out 58 assists for an average of 9.67 assists per set while the Tarleton offense hit .307 as a team, led by five players with a .300 hitting clip or higher. For the week, Keamo also had six kills, six service aces, 11 digs, three blocks, and 13.5 points. Gabriela Rosa, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions with 48 assists last week. She had 19 assists in the Lions' 3-1 win over UT Permian Basin. The team hit .302 in that match. Rosa then had 29 assists against West Texas A&M, helping the Lions to a 3-1 win. She also had three aces in the match as the Lions clinched a perfect home season. LSC NOTES (Submitted by LSC SID’s) Angelo State No.25 Angelo State came away with a pair of sweeps over Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico this week as it celebrated its senior class. The Belles completed the 2017 regular season with a 21-8, 13-7 LSC record as it looks forward to the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament. ASU is seeded third in the tournament and will open up with sixth seeded Texas Woman's. The Belles are 1-1 against the Pioneers this season, as each team came away with a win on its respective home court. Cameron Cameron was swept in their final regular season matches at Midwestern State and versus Texas A&M-Kingsville. Paige Dixon tallied 14 kills on the weekend, and Brandy Carr combined for 14 blocks. On Saturday against the Javelinas, senior setter Brook Conley Brook Conley achieved her 17th double-double of the year on 24 assists and 10 digs. Eastern New Mexico The Eastern New Mexico volleyball team dropped a pair of matches this past weekend on the road. Friday, ENMU fell to 25th-ranked Angelo State and lost Saturday to 14th-ranked Tarleton State. The Greyhounds open play at the LSC Tournament this week against Tarleton. Texas A&M-Commerce The Lions defeated UT Permian Basin on Friday and West Texas A&M on Saturday to complete the regular season. The Lions were a perfect 11-0 at home this season, just the third time in their history of finishing their home season undefeated and the first time since 1987. The Lions are the second seed in the LSC Tournament. The second-place finish in the LSC is the highest for the Lions since finishing second in the LSC North Division in 2002. In non-divisional formats, the Lions last finished second in the league in 1994. They will face Western New Mexico in the first round of the LSC Tournament on Thursday. The teams split the regular season series. Texas A&M-Kingsville The Javelinas end the season on a four-match winning streak after defeating Midwestern State in four sets and then sweeping Cameron both on the road. Madison Brabham led the team with 4.29 kills per set (30 kills) followed by Lexi Wick and Shelby Sheets with 26 and 25 kills, respectively. TAMUK was awarded the fourth seed in the LSC Championships and will face West Texas A&M - the fifth seed - in the quarterfinals. the Javs and Lady Buffs split the season series with both clubs winning the game on their home floor. Texas Woman’s TWU lost in four sets to West Texas A&M before finishing off the regular season with a sweep of UT Permian Basin to clinch the sixth seed in the LSC Tournament. UT Permian Basin 0-2 last week. West Texas A&M 1-1 last week. Western New Mexico It was a pair of tough matchups for the Lady Mustangs going against nationally-ranked Tarleton State and Angelo State.
