LSC VOLLEYBALL
Angelo State and Tarleton State are ed atop the Lone Star Conference standings with iden cal 7-1 league
records. LSC ac on con nues this week with 11 matches scheduled.
LSC volleyball teams are 109-87 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-9 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athle c Conference teams, and 20-7 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues
in the NCAA South Central Region.
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Lauren Frye, Eastern New Mexico University, SR, Amissville, Va., Highland HS
Frye averaged 5.00 kills per set in victories over Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Womanā€™s. The senior swung
to a tune of .358 with 40 kills while only commi ng 11 errors. Against TWU, Frye had 12 kills alone in the
second set and ļ¬nished with 25 for the match. She recorded a match-high 15 kills against A&M-C.
DEFENSIVE
Andrea Aguilar, Eastern New Mexico University, JR, Clovis, N.M, Clovis HS
Aguilar recorded the ļ¬rst 30-dig performance of the season for the Greyhounds in the four-set win over Texas
Womanā€™s on Saturday. Addi onally, she became the ļ¬rst Eastern player to tally 30 digs in a four-set match
since Hayley Crouch accomplished the feat in 2012. Aguilar added 23 digs in the victory against Texas A&M-
Commerce. For the week, she averaged 6.62 digs per set.
SETTER
Melanie Hughes, Western New Mexico, JR, Riverside, Calif., Mar n Luther King, Jr. HS
Hughes led Western New Mexico to a pair of wins over Texas Womanā€™s and Texas A&M-Commerce last week
with 36 assists, while also adding a kill, a service ace and 11 digs. She went for 18 assists in each match and had
seven digs versus TWU. Hughes averaged six assists per set in the Mustangs 6-2 oļ¬€ense as WNMU recorded a
.370 team hi ng percentage.
OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, had a week for the record books as the junior outside hi er
averaged 4.67 kills per set with 42 total kills to lead the TexAnns to a 3-0 record and a six-game winning streak.
In addi on to her eļ¬€orts, Roberts also reached a personal milestone Monday night when she set the Tarleton
all- me kills record by improving her career total to 1,556. For the week, Roberts landed her 42 kills on a .271
hi ng clip to go along with one assist, three aces, nine blocks, and 29 digs. She totaled 51.0 points for the
TexAnns in their three consecu ve sweeps of Cameron, Midwestern State, and Dallas Bap st. In two of those
sweeps, Roberts totaled 15 kills for an average of 5.0 kills per set.
Abbie Lynn, Angelo State University, assisted the Belles LSC leading a ack to another great week as they
swept two straight LSC opponents. The right side hi er tallied 20 total kills and recorded only a single error for
the week. Marking 10 kills in each of the two matches gives her seven total matches with double-ļ¬gure kills on
the season. The junior averaged 3.33 kills per set and turned in a .463 clip. Defensively, she recorded a team
second six total blocks averaging one per set.
Lexi Wick, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, paced the Javelinas with 41.5 total points on 30 kills, three aces
and 13 total blocks. Wick con nued her eļ¬ƒcient hi ng, ļ¬nishing the weekend with a .444 percentage and
leads the LSC with a hi ng percentage of .397. A er recording 19 kills against a strong unit in West Texas A&M,
the middle recorded her ļ¬rst double-double of the season with 11 kills and ten blocks against UT Permian
Basin.
Samantha Haupeakui, Western New Mexico, posted 15 kills for a well-balanced lineup with six players
collec ng double-digit kills. She hit .429 with just three errors, while also adding six blocks, a dig and an assist
with 18 total points. Haupeakui went for nine kills and hit .533 in the sweep against Texas Womanā€™s. She added
four blocks in that same match.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY RELEASE 2
Ashley Mataele, Western New Mexico, collected
24 digs in the two matches and also added two
assists and two service aces. Following an eight dig
performance versus Texas Womanā€™s, she came back
with a strong 16 dig eļ¬€ort in the sweep of Texas A&M-
Commerce.
Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton State University,
con nued to shine on the TexAnn back row as the
sophomore libero averaged double-digit digs in three
consecu ve sweeps for Tarleton. With 33 total digs
in nine sets, Knutson averaged 3.67 digs per set
and recorded 15 digs in Mondayā€™s win over Dallas
Bap st. She anchored the Tarleton defense that held
opponents to a .084 hi ng percentage over nine
sets. In the three straight sweeps ā€“ which all came on
the road ā€“ the Knutson-led defense held opponents
to a sub-.100 hi ng performance in ļ¬ve of nine total
sets for the week and sub-.000 in three of the nine
sets.
Lexi Wick, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, in a
domina ng weekend, made her presence known
on the defensive side of the net a er concluding
the weekend averaging 1.44 blocks per set. Wick
had a career-high of 10 blocks against UT Permian
Basin and recorded her ļ¬rst double-double in 2016
by adding 11 kills. Opponents this weekend hit .128
against the Hogs including one of the ho est clubs in
the conference in the Lady Buļ¬€s.
Morgan Seaton, Angelo State University, anchored
the Belles defense this week in its pair of sweeps.
The junior out of Big Spring, Texas led the squad with
nine total blocks for the week, including a season
high seven blocks against Cameron. She averaged
an outstanding 1.50 blocks per set. This was
accompanied by a solid oļ¬€ensive performance as she
racked up 14 kills for the week, which averaged her
2.33 kills per set.
Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, con nued
to play a key role in the Belles oļ¬€ense success. The
freshman chalked up 70 total assists for the week,
allowing the Belles a ack to record a .349 team
hi ng percentage. She averaged an excep onal 11.67
assists per set and con nues to lead the conference
with an overall average of 11.79 assist per set. Parker
also added 16 digs and three blocks to her defensive
numbers during the two matches.
Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, con nued
to dish out assists at a record pace for the TexAnns as
the junior from Hawaii dealt 101 total assists in three
consecu ve road sweeps for Tarleton. She averaged
11.22 assists per set for the week to go along with
11 kills, four aces, and 17 digs. In Fridayā€™s road sweep
of Cameron, the Keamo-led TexAnns boasted the
highest single-game hi ng percentage by a Lone
Star Conference team this season ā€“ a .427 hi ng
percentage with 45 kills and 10 errors on 82 a empts.
The Keamo-led oļ¬€ense had ļ¬ve diļ¬€erent players
record a kill with at least a .400 hi ng percentage for
the match. Tarletonā€™s oļ¬€ense hit .321 as a team for
the week.
Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville,
in nine sets, she was two assists short of eclipsing the
century mark and ļ¬nished the weekend with only two
ball handling errors. Klobedans recorded consecu ve
double-doubles star ng with 59 assists and 15 digs
against West Texas A&M, following 39 assists and
13 digs against UT Permian Basin. The Hogs hit an
impressive .237 this weekend including hi ng .212
against West Texas A&M who came into the match
second in the conference with 141.5 total blocks this
season.

SIDā€™s)
Angelo State
The Belles moved to 16-2, 7-1 LSC record with a pair
of sweeps this past week. Leading the ASU oļ¬€ense
was the trio of Mallory Blauser, Abbie Lynn and
Brianna Sotello. Blauser led the squad with 24 total
kills for an average of 4.00 kills per set and a .423 clip.
Lynn followed with 20 kills and only a single error for
the week. Rounding out the group, Sotello turned in
a team third 17 kills for the week while being second
on the team with 21 digs on defense. Heading the
Belles on the defensive side of the ball was Mallory
Davidson, Morgan Seaton and Tulani Titley. Davidson
led Angelo State with 25 digs for the week, which
averaged her 4.17 per set. Seaton led the team along
the net with nine total blocks, while Titley was second
on the squad with six for the week. Finally, Meghan
Parker set up the potent ASU a ack with 70 total
assists. The freshman also assisted defense turning in
a team third 16 digs for the two matches. The Belles
con nue its LSC slate with a pair of home matches
against ENMU and WNMU. Fridayā€™s match against the
Mustangs will be ASUā€™s annual Dig Pink match where
the Belles will wear pink jerseys to bring awareness to
breast cancer.

Eastern New Mexico
Eastern New Mexico went 2-0 this weekend, twice
overcoming a ļ¬rst set deļ¬cit to defeat Texas A&M-
Commerce and Texas Womanā€™s. Lauren Frye led
the oļ¬€ensive eļ¬€ort with a whopping 40 kills in two
matches, including 25 against TWU. Andrea Aguilar
recorded the ļ¬rst 30-dig performance of the season
for the Greyhounds, becoming the ļ¬rst player to do
so in four sets for Eastern since 2012. Alexis Aguirre
dished out 55 total assists in the two matches to set
the table for the oļ¬€ense. Eastern hits the road this
weekend to take on Tarleton State and Angelo State.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State posted a 1-2 record on the week,
sweeping Southern Nazarene on the road in a non-
conference mee ng Tuesday while falling to league
leaders Angelo State and Tarleton State at home last
weekend. The Mustangs face Lubbock Chris an in
another non-conference matchup Thursday at the Rip
Griļ¬ƒn Center before returning home to take on Texas
A&M-Kingsville and St. Edwardā€™s Saturday a ernoon
at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
Tarleton State
Tarleton pushed its winning streak to six straight with
three consecu ve road sweeps. Junior outside hi er
Hailey Roberts broke the schoolā€™s all- me kills record
Monday night, topping Desiree Reedā€™s record of
1,545. The TexAnns will return home this weekend to
host Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico
on Friday and Saturday in Wisdom Gym.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions saw a 5-match winning streak go by the
wayside over the weekend with losses at Eastern
New Mexico and Western New Mexico... The Lions
are now 10-8 overall and 4-4 in league play... In a 3-1
loss at ENMU, the Lions started oļ¬€ on ļ¬re, hi ng
.455 with no errors in the opening set before cooling
oļ¬€. A&M-Commerce ended the match with a hi ng
percentage of .095... Taryn Driver led the Lions with
seven kills... Gabriela Rosa passed out 13 assists,

The Javelinas got things back on track a er a big me
win over West Texas A&M in ļ¬ve sets before capping

at Aggie Gym and play two matches on Saturday in
Wichita Falls, Texas against Midwestern State and St.
Edwardā€™s.

West Texas A&M
The Lady Buļ¬€s dropped both contests last week
as they were defeated on the road to Texas A&M-
Kingville and at a neutral site against Arkansas-Fort
Smith to fall to 10-7 (6-2 LSC) on the season. WT
returns to the friendly conļ¬nes of the WTAMU
Fieldhouse ā€œā€The Boxā€ā€ tonight as they take on
Lubbock Chris an with ļ¬rst serve set for 6 p.m.
followed by another LSC road trip this weekend to
Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Womanā€™s.
Western New Mexico
It was a strong oļ¬€ensive week for the Lady Mustangs
as they hit a combined .370 in a pair of sweeps over
Texas Womanā€™s and Texas A&M-Commerce. WNMU
has now won all 12 of their sets played at home.
In addi on to top performances from Samantha
Haupeakui, Melanie Hughes and Ashley Mataele,
Heather Verrill added 15 kills, 14 from Kelli McGhiey,
13 from Shannon Rich, 12 from Kalie Lyle and 11 from
Hannah Tishlarich. Lyle also spun in eight service
aces. Haupeakui posted 15 kills for a well-balanced
lineup with six players collec ng double-digit kills.
She hit .429 with just three errors, while also adding
six blocks, a dig and an assist with 18 total points.
Haupeakui went for nine kills and hit .533 in the
sweep against Texas Womanā€™s. She added four blocks
in that same match. Hughes led the way with 36
assists, while also adding a kill, a service ace and 11
digs. She went for 18 assists in each match and had
seven digs versus Texas Womanā€™s. Mataele collected
24 digs in the two matches and also added two
assists and two service aces. Following an eight dig
performance versus Texas Womanā€™s, she came back
with a strong 16 dig eļ¬€ort in the sweep of Texas A&M-
Commerce.

LSC ac on con nues this week with 11 matches scheduled. LSC volleyball teams are 109-87 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-9 combined versus Rocky Mountain Athle c Conference teams, and 20-7 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region. PLAYERS OF THE WEEK OFFENSIVE Lauren Frye, Eastern New Mexico University, SR, Amissville, Va., Highland HS Frye averaged 5.00 kills per set in victories over Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Womanā€™s. The senior swung to a tune of .358 with 40 kills while only commi ng 11 errors. Against TWU, Frye had 12 kills alone in the second set and ļ¬nished with 25 for the match. She recorded a match-high 15 kills against A&M-C. DEFENSIVE Andrea Aguilar, Eastern New Mexico University, JR, Clovis, N.M, Clovis HS Aguilar recorded the ļ¬rst 30-dig performance of the season for the Greyhounds in the four-set win over Texas Womanā€™s on Saturday. Addi onally, she became the ļ¬rst Eastern player to tally 30 digs in a four-set match since Hayley Crouch accomplished the feat in 2012. Aguilar added 23 digs in the victory against Texas A&M- Commerce. For the week, she averaged 6.62 digs per set. SETTER Melanie Hughes, Western New Mexico, JR, Riverside, Calif., Mar n Luther King, Jr. HS Hughes led Western New Mexico to a pair of wins over Texas Womanā€™s and Texas A&M-Commerce last week with 36 assists, while also adding a kill, a service ace and 11 digs. She went for 18 assists in each match and had seven digs versus TWU. Hughes averaged six assists per set in the Mustangs 6-2 oļ¬€ense as WNMU recorded a .370 team hi ng percentage. OTHER TOP PERFORMERS Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, had a week for the record books as the junior outside hi er averaged 4.67 kills per set with 42 total kills to lead the TexAnns to a 3-0 record and a six-game winning streak. In addi on to her eļ¬€orts, Roberts also reached a personal milestone Monday night when she set the Tarleton all- me kills record by improving her career total to 1,556. For the week, Roberts landed her 42 kills on a .271 hi ng clip to go along with one assist, three aces, nine blocks, and 29 digs. She totaled 51.0 points for the TexAnns in their three consecu ve sweeps of Cameron, Midwestern State, and Dallas Bap st. In two of those sweeps, Roberts totaled 15 kills for an average of 5.0 kills per set. Abbie Lynn, Angelo State University, assisted the Belles LSC leading a ack to another great week as they swept two straight LSC opponents. The right side hi er tallied 20 total kills and recorded only a single error for the week. Marking 10 kills in each of the two matches gives her seven total matches with double-ļ¬gure kills on the season. The junior averaged 3.33 kills per set and turned in a .463 clip. Defensively, she recorded a team second six total blocks averaging one per set. Lexi Wick, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, paced the Javelinas with 41.5 total points on 30 kills, three aces and 13 total blocks. Wick con nued her eļ¬ƒcient hi ng, ļ¬nishing the weekend with a .444 percentage and leads the LSC with a hi ng percentage of .397. A er recording 19 kills against a strong unit in West Texas A&M, the middle recorded her ļ¬rst double-double of the season with 11 kills and ten blocks against UT Permian Basin. Samantha Haupeakui, Western New Mexico, posted 15 kills for a well-balanced lineup with six players collec ng double-digit kills. She hit .429 with just three errors, while also adding six blocks, a dig and an assist with 18 total points. Haupeakui went for nine kills and hit .533 in the sweep against Texas Womanā€™s. She added four blocks in that same match.   • 2. LONE STAR CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY RELEASE 2 Ashley Mataele, Western New Mexico, collected 24 digs in the two matches and also added two assists and two service aces. Following an eight dig performance versus Texas Womanā€™s, she came back with a strong 16 dig eļ¬€ort in the sweep of Texas A&M- Commerce. Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton State University, con nued to shine on the TexAnn back row as the sophomore libero averaged double-digit digs in three consecu ve sweeps for Tarleton. With 33 total digs in nine sets, Knutson averaged 3.67 digs per set and recorded 15 digs in Mondayā€™s win over Dallas Bap st. She anchored the Tarleton defense that held opponents to a .084 hi ng percentage over nine sets. In the three straight sweeps ā€“ which all came on the road ā€“ the Knutson-led defense held opponents to a sub-.100 hi ng performance in ļ¬ve of nine total sets for the week and sub-.000 in three of the nine sets. Lexi Wick, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, in a domina ng weekend, made her presence known on the defensive side of the net a er concluding the weekend averaging 1.44 blocks per set. Wick had a career-high of 10 blocks against UT Permian Basin and recorded her ļ¬rst double-double in 2016 by adding 11 kills. Opponents this weekend hit .128 against the Hogs including one of the ho est clubs in the conference in the Lady Buļ¬€s. Morgan Seaton, Angelo State University, anchored the Belles defense this week in its pair of sweeps. The junior out of Big Spring, Texas led the squad with nine total blocks for the week, including a season high seven blocks against Cameron. She averaged an outstanding 1.50 blocks per set. This was accompanied by a solid oļ¬€ensive performance as she racked up 14 kills for the week, which averaged her 2.33 kills per set. Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, con nued to play a key role in the Belles oļ¬€ense success. The freshman chalked up 70 total assists for the week, allowing the Belles a ack to record a .349 team hi ng percentage. She averaged an excep onal 11.67 assists per set and con nues to lead the conference with an overall average of 11.79 assist per set. Parker also added 16 digs and three blocks to her defensive numbers during the two matches. Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, con nued to dish out assists at a record pace for the TexAnns as the junior from Hawaii dealt 101 total assists in three consecu ve road sweeps for Tarleton. She averaged 11.22 assists per set for the week to go along with 11 kills, four aces, and 17 digs. In Fridayā€™s road sweep of Cameron, the Keamo-led TexAnns boasted the highest single-game hi ng percentage by a Lone Star Conference team this season ā€“ a .427 hi ng percentage with 45 kills and 10 errors on 82 a empts. The Keamo-led oļ¬€ense had ļ¬ve diļ¬€erent players record a kill with at least a .400 hi ng percentage for the match. Tarletonā€™s oļ¬€ense hit .321 as a team for the week. Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, in nine sets, she was two assists short of eclipsing the century mark and ļ¬nished the weekend with only two ball handling errors. Klobedans recorded consecu ve double-doubles star ng with 59 assists and 15 digs against West Texas A&M, following 39 assists and 13 digs against UT Permian Basin. The Hogs hit an impressive .237 this weekend including hi ng .212 against West Texas A&M who came into the match second in the conference with 141.5 total blocks this season. LSC NOTES (Submitted by LSC SIDā€™s) Angelo State The Belles moved to 16-2, 7-1 LSC record with a pair of sweeps this past week. Leading the ASU oļ¬€ense was the trio of Mallory Blauser, Abbie Lynn and Brianna Sotello. Blauser led the squad with 24 total kills for an average of 4.00 kills per set and a .423 clip. Lynn followed with 20 kills and only a single error for the week. Rounding out the group, Sotello turned in a team third 17 kills for the week while being second on the team with 21 digs on defense. Heading the Belles on the defensive side of the ball was Mallory Davidson, Morgan Seaton and Tulani Titley. Davidson led Angelo State with 25 digs for the week, which averaged her 4.17 per set. Seaton led the team along the net with nine total blocks, while Titley was second on the squad with six for the week. Finally, Meghan Parker set up the potent ASU a ack with 70 total assists. The freshman also assisted defense turning in a team third 16 digs for the two matches. The Belles con nue its LSC slate with a pair of home matches against ENMU and WNMU. Fridayā€™s match against the Mustangs will be ASUā€™s annual Dig Pink match where the Belles will wear pink jerseys to bring awareness to breast cancer. Cameron 0-2 last week. Eastern New Mexico Eastern New Mexico went 2-0 this weekend, twice overcoming a ļ¬rst set deļ¬cit to defeat Texas A&M- Commerce and Texas Womanā€™s. Lauren Frye led the oļ¬€ensive eļ¬€ort with a whopping 40 kills in two matches, including 25 against TWU. Andrea Aguilar recorded the ļ¬rst 30-dig performance of the season for the Greyhounds, becoming the ļ¬rst player to do so in four sets for Eastern since 2012. Alexis Aguirre dished out 55 total assists in the two matches to set the table for the oļ¬€ense. Eastern hits the road this weekend to take on Tarleton State and Angelo State. Midwestern State Midwestern State posted a 1-2 record on the week, sweeping Southern Nazarene on the road in a non- conference mee ng Tuesday while falling to league leaders Angelo State and Tarleton State at home last weekend. The Mustangs face Lubbock Chris an in another non-conference matchup Thursday at the Rip Griļ¬ƒn Center before returning home to take on Texas A&M-Kingsville and St. Edwardā€™s Saturday a ernoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Tarleton State Tarleton pushed its winning streak to six straight with three consecu ve road sweeps. West Texas A&M The Lady Buļ¬€s dropped both contests last week as they were defeated on the road to Texas A&M- Kingville and at a neutral site against Arkansas-Fort Smith to fall to 10-7 (6-2 LSC) on the season. WT returns to the friendly conļ¬nes of the WTAMU Fieldhouse ā€œā€The Boxā€ā€ tonight as they take on Lubbock Chris an with ļ¬rst serve set for 6 p.m. followed by another LSC road trip this weekend to Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Womanā€™s. Western New Mexico It was a strong oļ¬€ensive week for the Lady Mustangs as they hit a combined .370 in a pair of sweeps over Texas Womanā€™s and Texas A&M-Commerce. WNMU has now won all 12 of their sets played at home. In addi on to top performances from Samantha Haupeakui, Melanie Hughes and Ashley Mataele, Heather Verrill added 15 kills, 14 from Kelli McGhiey, 13 from Shannon Rich, 12 from Kalie Lyle and 11 from Hannah Tishlarich. Lyle also spun in eight service aces. Haupeakui posted 15 kills for a well-balanced lineup with six players collec ng double-digit kills. She hit .429 with just three errors, while also adding six blocks, a dig and an assist with 18 total points. Haupeakui went for nine kills and hit .533 in the sweep against Texas Womanā€™s. She added four blocks in that same match. Hughes led the way with 36 assists, while also adding a kill, a service ace and 11 digs. She went for 18 assists in each match and had seven digs versus Texas Womanā€™s. Mataele collected 24 digs in the two matches and also added two assists and two service aces. Following an eight dig performance versus Texas Womanā€™s, she came back with a strong 16 dig eļ¬€ort in the sweep of Texas A&M- Commerce.
