LSC VOLLEYBALL
Tarleton State, who is on a 10-game winning streak, leads the Lone Star Conference standings at 9-1 with Texas A&M-
Commerce, winners of seven straight, in second place at 8-2 in league action. The TexAnns and Lions play Saturday in
Stephenville, Texas.
LSC games continue this week with four matches Tuesday, one Wednesday, and five matches each on Friday and
Saturday.
LSC volleyball teams are 108-108 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-17 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 12-6 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the
NCAA South Central Region.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, SR, Cedar Park, Texas, Cedar Park HS
Roberts returned to form after missing a game last weekend as the senior standout from Cedar Park landed 32 kills in six
sets to lead Tarleton to its ninth and 10th consecutive victories. Roberts and the TexAnns swept their way through the
New Mexico road trip and move to 4-0 on that road trip since Western New Mexico joined the conference last season.
Tarleton is the only LSC school to sweep the Mustangs and Greyhounds on the road over that span. Last weekend,
Roberts boasted 32 kills in two sweeps for an average of 5.33 kills per set on a .299 hitting percentage. She also added
two assists, an ace, 18 digs, three blocks, and 34.5 total points for Tarleton.
DEFENSIVE
Savannah Rutledge, Texas A&M University-Commerce, SO, The Woodlands, Texas, College Park HS
Rutledge was all over for the Lions as she led the team with 48 digs, averaging 6.0 per set in the Lions' two wins last
week. She had a career-high 32 digs in A&M-Commerce's 3-2 road win against West Texas A&M. Rutledge received 20
serves against the Lady Buffs without a return error and also had five assists and an ace. She then had 16 digs without a
return error and added an ace in the Lions sweep of UT Permian Basin. Rutledge helped hold Lion opponents to just a
.113 hitting average. She is fifth in the conference in service aces per set and 10th in digs per set.
2. SETTER
Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, SR, Mililani, Hawaii, Mililani HS
Keamo continued her dominant senior season as she led Tarleton to two more wins on the road at Eastern and Western
New Mexico last weekend to extend the TexAnns' winning streak to 10. Keamo dished out 58 assists in six sets for an
average of 9.67 assists per set in back-to-back sweeps. She also added 10 kills, two aces, 13 digs, four blocks, and 14.0
total points for the week. She helped Tarleton hit .345 as a team for the weekend.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Madison Brabham, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, led the Javelinas with 28 kills and averaged 4.67 kills per set in six
sets. On 55 swings, Brabham committed only four errors and has logged ten or more kills in seven of the last eight
matches. In the Dig Pink match versus Cameron, the junior outside hitter turned in 13 kills with a hitting percentage of
.423. She then topped that performance with 15 kills and a match-high .448 attack percentage against Midwestern
State.
Miri Shade, Texas Woman's University, posted back-to-back doubles for the Pioneers while totaling match-highs in
versus UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M. In a sweep over UTPB, the redshirt senior registered 11 and 11 digs.
Against WT, Shade again put down 11 kills along with 12 digs, two blocks and an ace.
3. Jaryn Wacker, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lion attack with 23 kills in two matches last week, hitting
.327 over eight sets. She led the Lions with 16 kills in the Lions' 3-2 win over West Texas A&M, hitting .389 in the match.
She then had seven kills in three sets of work against UT Permian Basin. She also had three blocks against the Falcons.
Raven Presley, Midwestern State University, was an all-around performer to lead the Mustangs to a 1-1 record last
week. The Richardson High product hit .484 with 17 kills (2.43/set) while committing just two attacking errors in 31
swings. Presley was also a top performer on the defensive end with seven blocks (1.00/set). In a four-set win over
Lubbock Christian, Presley notched nine kills with no errors on 14 swings to finish with a season-best .643 hitting
percentage while adding five blocks to her stat line. She followed with eight kills and just two errors against Texas A&M-
Kingsville for a .353 hitting clip Saturday to finish off the week on the road.
Kelli McGhiey, Western New Mexico, tied for the team lead in kills with 19, averaging 2.38 per set. She added 14
digs, six blocks, a service ace and an assist. In the upset win over No. 17 Angelo State, McGhiey had a big match with 12
kills, hitting .379, while adding a double-double with 10 digs. She also had five blocks, with one solo.
Morgan Seaton, Angelo State University, aided the Belles attack against both of its conference opponents this week.
The senior middle blocker co-led ASU from the service line with three total aces for the week. She tallied 21 total kills for
a .385 clip. This included dropping in a team second 12 kills against Eastern New Mexico. Seaton also played a major role
along the net as she chalked a team high eight total blocks.
Bailey French, Texas Woman's University, posted a match-high 15 digs in a sweep over UT Permian Basin and
collected 13 digs at West Texas A&M for an average of 4.67 per set.
Micheala Sifuentes, Angelo State University, continued to lead the Angelo State defense this week as the Belles
faced a pair of conference opponents on the road. The libero once again headed the squad with 42 total digs, which
averaged her a stellar 4.20 digs per set. Sifuentes recorded a career high 27 digs against Western New Mexico. She
added a pair of service aces and seven assists to her numbers as well.
Adrianna Knutson, Tarleton State University, helped lead Tarleton to its most dominant defensive performance over
a weekend this season. The junior libero led the team with 24 digs in six sets to average 4.0 digs per set. She also
boasted a 1.000 serve-receive on 21 attempts. Knutson led the TexAnn defense that held Eastern and Western New
Mexico to a combined .027 hitting percentage, including ENMU to a (-).035 hitting percentage Friday night.
Brooklyn Biel, Eastern New Mexico University, had one of her strongest all-around performances this past weekend,
leading the Hounds to an upset of 17th-ranked Angelo State. Offensively, she racked up 24 kills on a .388 attack
percentage, including a blistering, .455 on 18 kills against the Rambelles. Defensively, she had four solo blocks on the
week, including three individual rejections against ASU. Overall the Laveen, Ariz., native averaged a block/set with eight
on the weekend.
Sarah Eakin, Midwestern State University, posted a career-high nine blocks against Lubbock Christian to average
1.71 per set last week for the Mustangs. On the week, the Wichita Falls native totaled 12 blocks at the net including a
pair of solo stuffs. MSU limited the Lady Chaps to a .076 hitting percentage as Eakin recorded nine blocks in the four-set
home victory to tie for the third most in a four-set match in program history and sixth most overall. Eakin also added
three blocks on the road at Texas A&M-Kingsville, recording five kills in each contest.
Heather Verrill, Western New Mexico, again was big at the net sending back 13 blocks, with three being solo,
averaging 1.62 per set. She also added 15 kills and a dig. Verrill had a big match in the win over No. 17 Angelo State with
six blocks, one solo, along with 11 kills and a service ace. She had an even better blocking performance in the three-set
match against No. 15 Tarleton State with seven blocks, with two being solo.
Katy Ranes, Texas Woman's University, posted match-highs in assists against UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M
for an average of 12.17 per set. Versus UTPB, the sophomore recorded 37 assists, five digs, two aces and two kills. At
WT, Ranes tallied 36 assists, five digs, three kills, an ace and a block.
Kristan Aduddell, Midwestern State University, averaged an impressive 11.71 assists per set in two matches last
week for Midwestern State for a total of 82 helpers. The Colony native climbed to fifth in the program record books in
4. career assists, eclipsing 2,815 to become the first Mustang since 2008 to reach the mark. Aduddell began the week in
pacing Midwestern State to a four-set home win Tuesday over Lubbock Christian with 51 assists for her fourth 50-plus
assist performance of the season. She followed Saturday with 31 assists in a loss at Texas A&M-Kingsville, moving into
fifth on the career assists leaderboard in the process.
Casey Klobedans, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, directed the offense with 10.83 assists per set in a pair of
sweeps against Cameron and Midwestern State. The Borne native leads the LSC with 770 total assists. The setter tallied
31 assists against Cameron and 34 versus Midwestern State. She also turned in three kills in each match.
Cristal Carrizoza, Western New Mexico, led the offense with 71 assists, averaging 8.88 per set. She also had 12 digs,
a block and three kills. Carrizoza had a big game in the upset win over No. 17 Angelo State in which she had 51 assists,
along with nine digs, three kills and a service ace.
Eadara Files, Angelo State University, stepped into the starting role for the Belles with the team facing some
adversity. The sophomore totaled 76 assists for the week, which averaged her 8.44 digs per set. Coming off of a 39
assists match against Western New Mexico, which was a career high, she then recorded 37 assists and a career high 14
digs to mark her first double-double of the season against Eastern New Mexico. Files capped the week as she totaled 20
digs and added a block assist on the defensive side of the ball.
Gabriela Rosa, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions with 47 assists last week in the Lions' two matches.
She had 31 assists in the Lions' 3-2 win over West Texas A&M. She also had 13 digs and three aces against the Lady Buffs
and also recorded a kill. In the Lions' sweep of UT Permian Basin, Rosa had 16 assists, seven digs and an ace.
Kaitlyn Kluna, Eastern New Mexico University, was a weapon from the service line all weekend for the Hounds. The
setter racked up seven aces on the weekend, including six against 17th-ranked Angelo State. In the first set, the
sophomore rattled off three-straight aces to swing the momentum towards the Hounds and in the fifth set, blasted
back-to-back aces to clinch the match for Eastern. Additionally, she tallied 38 assists, 28 of which came against ASU
while grabbing four digs on the week.

Angelo State
No. 22 Angelo State dropped a pair of close five set road matches this week to WNMU and ENMU. The Belles will look to
rebound with a two-match home stand against Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman's.

Eastern New Mexico
The Eastern New Mexico volleyball team went 1-1 this past weekend, pulling off an upset of 17th-ranked Angelo State at
Greyhound Arena. It marks the first time in program history ENMU has beaten the Rambelles in consecutive seasons.
The Greyhounds travel to West Texas A&M before heading to Kingsville later in the week.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State posted a 1-1 record on the week to move to 9-10 overall and 3-7 in Lone Star Conference play. The
Mustangs currently sit in ninth place in the conference standings, two games out of eighth. MSU began the week with a
3-1 win over Lubbock Christian at home before closing out the first half of league action with a 3-0 loss at Texas A&M-
Kingsville. The Mustangs square off against Texas A&M-Commerce Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the A&M-Commerce Field
House. Midwestern returns to D.L. Ligon Coliseum this weekend for three matches beginning Friday at 1:30 p.m. against
West Texas A&M.
5. Tarleton State
Tarleton pushed its win streak to 10 and return home Tuesday to host Kingsville at 7 p.m.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions went 2-0 last weekend. They defeated West Texas A&M 3-2 and swept UT Permian Basin. Both matches were
on the road. The Lions have now won seven matches in a row, their longest winning streak ever under coach Case. They
have won five road matches in a row. The Lions are 8-2 in conference action. They lead the conference in blocks, are
second in aces, third in assists, third in opponent hitting percentage and third in kills per set. They host Midwestern
State on Tuesday before traveling to face No. 13 Tarleton State and No. 22 Angelo State on the road over the weekend.
Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Javelinas swept their way through the weekend as they handled Cameron and Midwestern State in Kingsville, Texas.
Although the offense did their job hitting .260 over the weekend, the defense dominated at the net as they recorded 15
blocks and held the opposition to a .158 attack percentage. Texas A&M-Kingsville opens the second half of the
conference schedule against No. 13 Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas. They will then have two home matches on
Friday, October 20 against Dallas Baptist and Eastern New Mexico before ending the busy week against Western New
Mexico on Saturday.

West Texas A&M
The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M improved to 10-2 at home this past weekend as they fell to Texas A&M-Commerce in
a five set thrill in front of over 1,000 fans on Friday night before rebounding on Saturday with a sweep of Texas
Woman's. WT finished off their home stand on Tuesday night as they host the Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico with
first serve set for 6 p.m. at the WTAMU Fieldhouse ""The Box"" in Canyon.
Western New Mexico
It was a big night for the Lady Mustangs on Friday when they pulled out the 3-2 victory over No. 17 Angelo State. Alanna
Watt (15), Kelli McGhiey (12) and Heather Verrill (11) combined for 38 kills to lead the way. McGhiey hit .379, while
Verrill added a .308 clip. Cristal Carrizoza dished out 51 assists and Verrill sent back six blocks. Four had at least 10 digs
led by Ashley Mataele's 15. McGhiey tied for the team lead in kills with 19, averaging 2.38 per set. She added 14 digs, six
blocks, a service ace and an assist. In the upset win over No. 17 Angelo State, McGhiey had a big match with 12 kills,
hitting .379, while adding a double-double with 10 digs. She also had five blocks, with one solo. Carrizoza led the
offense with 71 assists, averaging 8.88 per set. She also had 12 digs, a block and three kills. Carrizoza had a big game in
the upset win over No. 17 Angelo State in which she had 51 assists, along with nine digs, three kills and a service ace.
Verrill again was big at the net sending back 13 blocks, with three being solo, averaging 1.62 per set. She also added 15
kills and a dig. Verrill had a big match in the win over No. 17 Angelo State with six blocks, one solo, along with 11 kills
and a service ace. She had an even better blocking performance in the three-set match against No. 15 Tarleton State
with seven blocks, with two being solo.
