LSC VOLLEYBALL
Tarleton State tops the Lone Star Conference standings at 5-1 with three teams - Texas A&M-Commerce, Eastern New
Mexico, and Western New Mexico – just behind them at 4-2.
LSC games continue this week with five matches each on Friday and Saturday.
LSC volleyball teams are 81-86 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-17 combined versus Rocky Mountain
Athletic Conference teams, and 8-5 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South
Central Region.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Sundara Chinn, Angelo State University, SO, Houston, Texas, Bellaire
Chinn helped lead the Belles to rally and win in five sets on Friday against Texas A&M-Kingsville, firing in 18 kills to tie for
the team lead. The sophomore hit .325 in 40 total attacks in the game and added a pair of blocks at the net. She also dug
six balls and had one assist in the match.
DEFENSIVE
Andrea Aguilar, Eastern New Mexico University, SR, Clovis, NM, Clovis HS
Aguilar was an anchor for the Greyhound defense this past week, helping ENMU to a pair of wins against UT Permian
Basin and West Texas A&M. The Clovis, NM, product recorded 36 digs in the Hounds' four-set win over WT, the second-
most in a four-set match and fifth-most in team history. Additionally, she recorded a perfect 1.000 reception percentage
over 30 attempts and also racked up five aces.
SETTER
Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, SR, Mililani, HI, Mililani HS
Keamo continued to lead the Tarleton offense as the senior setter dished out 104 assists in 12 sets last weekend,
including 50 at Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday. Keamo led the TexAnns to victories over Lubbock Christian, St. Mary's,
and TAMUK while the offense hit .267 as a team. In Saturday's win, Keamo help orchestrate Tarleton's highest team kill
performance of the season as the TexAnns landed 77 kills and had four players crack double digits. For the week, Keamo
added 15 kills, five aces, and 43 digs. She boasted double-double performances against St. Mary's and Texas A&M-
Kingsville and had a 1.000 serve-receive percentage for the week.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Sarah Tuioti-Mariner, Eastern New Mexico University, picked up 30 kills on the weekend, including a career-high 22
against rival West Texas A&M. The sophomore hit .229 while adding 19 digs on the weekend for her fourth double-
double of the season.
Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, continued her dominant senior campaign with 45 more kills to lead
Tarleton to three more victories, including a road win over Texas A&M-Kingsville. Roberts averaged 3.75 kills per set
over 12 sets, highlighted by a 21-kill performance against the Javelinas Saturday afternoon. Roberts started the week
with 16 kills to lead the TexAnns past Lubbock Christian in a sweep, in which she hit .351. For the week, Roberts totaled
45 kills on a .220 hitting percentage with an ace, four assists, 23 digs, four blocks, and 48.0 total points.
Paige Dixon, Cameron University, led the Aggies last week with 40 kills and six blocks against Midwestern State,
Texas A&M-Commerce, and Texas Woman's. The junior helped CU take down the Mustangs 3-1 with a team high 15
kills. Dixon's best match of the week came against Texas Woman's, where she threw down 17 kills on 42 attempts with
only six errors. She also recorded four blocks, with three solos, in the 3-1 loss. Dixon posted 3.33 kills per set and had an
attack percentage of .215 during the three-match span. She is fourth in the LSC in total kills and kills per set.
Kalie Lyle, Western New Mexico, paced the Lady Mustangs with 20 kills, collecting a high with 11 in the 3-0 sweep of
West Texas A&M. She also led the team with nine kills in another 3-0 sweep of UT Permian Basin. In addition, she added
a service ace, eight digs and four blocks. Lyle hit .274 in both matches and had three blocks and five digs against the
Falcons.
Courtney Noel, Texas Woman's University, pieced together her best weekend output of 2017 in matches against
Midwestern State and Cameron. The sophomore registered team-highs in kills in both contests and a game-high five
blocks versus the Aggies. Noel hit .409 at Cameron and added an ace.
Jaslyn Wacker, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions in points last week in the Lions' two wins, tallying
28.0 points, 19 kills, nine blocks and a .308 hitting percentage. She led the team with 14 kills in the Lions' 3-1 win over
Cameron on Friday, hitting .321 in the match. She also had two aces and five blocks in the match. Wacker then had five
kills, an ace and four blocks in the Lions' sweep of Midwestern State. She leads the conference in hitting percentage and
is sixth in blocks.
Krystal Faison, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, gathered back-to-back double-doubles against nationally ranked
opponents No. 16 Angelo State and No. 15 Tarleton State this weekend. Overall, the senior finished with 27 kills an ace
and a team-high 29 points. Against ASU, Faison matched her season-high of 20 digs to go along with her 14 kills. She
then totaled 13 kills and 16 digs with an ace in the five-set thriller against Tarleton State on Saturday.
Ashley Mataele, Western New Mexico, came up with some big digs to help preserve points, as she posted 30 digs (5
per set), while adding a service ace and six assists. In the 3-0 win over West Texas A&M she came away with 22 digs and
then added eight in the 3-0 win over UTPB. She was also strong in serve-receive, handling all 19 against the Buffs and
nine against the Falcons.
Amber Strange, Tarleton State University, continued to control the net for Tarleton as the sophomore middle led
the team with 11 blocks, including five to help Tarleton defeat Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday. Strange boasted three
blocks in each of Friday's two matches before going for two solo blocks and three assisted block in the win over the
Javelinas. For the week, Strange also had six digs, 21 kills, 28.5 points and averaged 1.0 block per set.
Brandy Carr, Cameron University, was sensational on the block for CU last week, recording 17 total blocks during a
three match stretch against Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Texas Woman's. Against the Lions, Carr had
a season best eight total blocks with three solos and five assists. She followed that performance up with five blocks, one
solo and four assists, against the Pioneers. Carr also supplied 13 kills during the three match span and only recorded one
blocking error. She is currently in fourth in the Lone Star Conference with 1.08 blocks per set, while totaling 57 total
blocks.
Shelley Chapron, Texas A&M University-Commerce, was a menace for the Lions out of the middle last week. She led
the team with 11 blocks and led the team in kills with 21. Chapron had four blocks and eight kills against Cameron as CU
hit just .150 in the match and .087 in the deciding fourth set. Chapron then had seven blocks and a season-high 13 kills
against Midwestern State in the Lions' sweep of the Mustangs. The team held MSU to a .114 hitting percentage.
Chapron had no blocking errors last week as the Lion defense held opponents to a .132 hitting percentage, nearly .100
points under what the Lion hitters produced. Chapron is second in the LSC in blocks per set for the Lion defense that
leads the conference in blocks.
Haley Hutchinson, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, played big in the middle as she logged 24 points behind six
blocks including four solos. The junior middle registered two solo blocks in each match against No. 16 Angelo State and
No. 15 Tarleton State this weekend.
Brianna Sotello, Angelo State University, stepped up for the Belles defense in the team's only game of the week
against Texas A&M - Kingsville. Totaling a team second 15 digs, the senior added a team high 18 kills to mark her sixth
double-double of the season. In additions, she led the Belles from the service line with a season high two aces.
Katy Ranes, Texas Woman's University, averaged 11.43 assists per set over the weekend, including a game-high 47
in the win over Cameron. The sophomore also added five kills, nine digs, two service aces and two blocks for the
Pioneers in the contests against Midwestern State and CU.
Brook Conley, Cameron University, continued her strong play into last week, as she totaled 108 assists for the three
match slate against Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Texas Woman's. The senior setter averaged nine
assists per set and tallied 2.67 digs per set. Conley flirted with a triple-double in the 3-1 win over MSU as she tallied 33
assists, 13 digs, and seven kills. Her best numbers came against Texas Woman's when she had 44 assists and 12 digs for
her eighth double-double on the season. Conley also recorded 17 kills with a .394 attack percentage, had four service
aces, and three blocks. CU's setter is ranked eighth in the LSC in assists and service aces per set and is top-15 in digs.
Alexis Aguirre, Eastern New Mexico University, dished out an impressive 6.86 assists per set this past weekend in
ENMU's 6-2 offense, leading the Hounds to victory over UTPB and WT. Against the Falcons, the senior helped the
Hounds to a .321 hitting percentage and distributed 31 assists in the Greyhounds four-set win over WT.
Cristal Carrizoza, Western New Mexico, once again led the team in assists as she dished out 37, averaging 6.17 per
set. She also had 10 digs and a kill. She had a similar number of assists in both matches, as she had 19 and four digs in
the 3-0 win over West Texas A&M and then came back against UT Permian Basin with 18 and six digs, along with two
service aces in another 3-0 sweep.
Gabriela Rosa, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions with 41 assists last week. She had 23 assists against
Cameron in the Lions' 3-1 win over the Aggies. She added 18 assists in the Lions sweep of Midwestern State. Rosa
averaged nearly six assists per set. She was a big part of the Lions' hitting .231 during the week, nearly .100 points more
than the Lion competition. She also 18 digs over the two matches and had two aces.
Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, continuing to distribute for the Belles, recorded 29 assists to lead the team.
She dropped in a pair of aces from the service line and helped the defense with seven digs.
LSC NOTES (Submitted by LSC SID’s)
Angelo State
The No.16 Belles went the distance on the road against Texas A&M - Kingsville coming away with a 3-2 win. This allowed
the squad to climb to 11-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference. The Belles will prepare to take on Midwestern State on
Friday, October 6 for its annual DIG PINK match to help bring about awareness to breast cancer. ASU will then continue
its LSC slate with another home match up against Cameron on Saturday October 7.

Eastern New Mexico
Eastern New Mexico improved to 6-9 overall and 4-2 in Lone Star Conference play with victories over UT Permian Basin
and West Texas A&M. On Saturday, ENMU held serve at home, knocking off rival WT for the third-straight season. Senior
libero Andrea Aguilar had a superb weekend, recording the second-most digs in a four set match in program history.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State posted a 1-2 record in LSC action last week to move to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in conference play. The
Mustangs began the week falling 3-1 to rival Cameron in Lawton before returning home to post a 1-1 mark in D.L. Ligon
Coliseum. MSU snapped a 12-match losing skid and earned its first win over Texas Woman's since 2010 with a 3-0 sweep
of the Pioneers Friday night. The Mustangs were unable to remain above .500 in conference play Saturday in a 3-0
defeat to Texas A&M-Commerce. MSU hits the road this weekend to take on two nationally-ranked teams in No. 16
Angelo State and No. 15 Tarleton State. The Mustangs begin their road trip Friday with a 7 p.m. meeting against ASU at
the Junell Center in San Angelo.
Tarleton State
Tarleton won three matches away from Stephenville, including a five-set victory at Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday. The
TexAnns return home this weekend to host Cameron and Midwestern State.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions swept their matches last week. They defeated Cameron 3-1 and Midwestern State 3-0. The Lions outhit their
opponents by nearly .100 points and had four players with at least 19 kills over two matches. The Lions also had 16 aces
while only giving up two aces. The Lions lead the conference in blocks per set. The Lions will face Southeastern
Oklahoma State on Tuesday before hosting Eastern and Western New Mexico over the weekend.
Texas A&M-Kingsville
The Javelinas nearly upset both No. 16 Angelo State and No. 15 Tarleton State this weekend. However, they fell in five
sets at home, moving their record to 3-3 in LSC play. Texas A&M-Kingsville's offense was dominant in both matches as
they outhit their opponents .257-.247. The Hogs will travel to Odessa, Texas to play UT Permian Basin on Friday, October
6 before capping off the weekend in Canyon versus West Texas A&M on Saturday October 7.
Texas Woman’s
TWU lost 3-0 to Midwestern State Friday before rebounding with a 3-1 victory at Cameron Saturday.

West Texas A&M
The Lady Buffs continued their road woes this past weekend as they fell at Western New Mexico and Eastern New
Mexico to fall to 8-8 overall with a 3-4 mark in Lone Star Conference play. The Lady Buffs return to the friendly confines
of the WTAMU Fieldhouse on Friday night as they host the Patriots of Dallas Baptist in a South Central Region showdown
with first serve set for 6 p.m. at The Box.
Western New Mexico
WNMU got things going at home this weekend as they cruised to a pair of 3-0 sweeps against West Texas A&M and UT
Permian Basin. Kalie Lyle led the offense with 20 kills, followed by 15 each from Heather Verrill and Alanna Watt, while
Kelli McGhiey added 13. Cristal Carrizoza dished out a team-high 37 assists, with Sophia Mitchell adding 24. On defense,
Ashley Mataele was all over the back row with 30 digs, while Verrill sent back 12 blocks. WNMU held their opponents to
a .067 hitting percentage over the two matches. Lyle paced the Lady Mustangs with 20 kills, collecting a high with 11 in
the 3-0 sweep of West Texas A&M. She also led the team with nine kills in another 3-0 sweep of UT Permian Basin. In
addition, she added a service ace, eight digs and four blocks. Lyle hit .274 in both matches and had three blocks and five
digs against the Falcons. Carrizoza once again led the team in assists as she dished out 37, averaging 6.17 per set. She
also had 10 digs and a kill. She had a similar number of assists in both matches, as she had 19 and four digs in the 3-0
win over West Texas A&M and then came back against UT Permian Basin with 18 and six digs, along with two service
aces in another 3-0 sweep. Mataele came up with some big digs to help preserve points, as she posted 30 digs (5 per

LSC games continue this week with five matches each on Friday and Saturday. LSC volleyball teams are 81-86 overall this season. The squads are currently 15-17 combined versus Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 8-5 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other leagues in the NCAA South Central Region. LSC schedule and results available here: http://www.lonestarconference.org/calendar.aspx?path=wvball& PLAYERS OF THE WEEK OFFENSIVE Sundara Chinn, Angelo State University, SO, Houston, Texas, Bellaire Chinn helped lead the Belles to rally and win in five sets on Friday against Texas A&M-Kingsville, firing in 18 kills to tie for the team lead. The sophomore hit .325 in 40 total attacks in the game and added a pair of blocks at the net. She also dug six balls and had one assist in the match. DEFENSIVE Andrea Aguilar, Eastern New Mexico University, SR, Clovis, NM, Clovis HS Aguilar was an anchor for the Greyhound defense this past week, helping ENMU to a pair of wins against UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M. The Clovis, NM, product recorded 36 digs in the Hounds' four-set win over WT, the second- most in a four-set match and fifth-most in team history. Additionally, she recorded a perfect 1.000 reception percentage over 30 attempts and also racked up five aces. SETTER Jordyn Keamo, Tarleton State University, SR, Mililani, HI, Mililani HS Keamo continued to lead the Tarleton offense as the senior setter dished out 104 assists in 12 sets last weekend, including 50 at Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday. Keamo led the TexAnns to victories over Lubbock Christian, St. Mary's, and TAMUK while the offense hit .267 as a team. In Saturday's win, Keamo help orchestrate Tarleton's highest team kill performance of the season as the TexAnns landed 77 kills and had four players crack double digits. For the week, Keamo added 15 kills, five aces, and 43 digs. She boasted double-double performances against St. Mary's and Texas A&M- Kingsville and had a 1.000 serve-receive percentage for the week.

The sophomore hit .229 while adding 19 digs on the weekend for her fourth double- double of the season. Hailey Roberts, Tarleton State University, continued her dominant senior campaign with 45 more kills to lead Tarleton to three more victories, including a road win over Texas A&M-Kingsville. Roberts averaged 3.75 kills per set over 12 sets, highlighted by a 21-kill performance against the Javelinas Saturday afternoon. Roberts started the week with 16 kills to lead the TexAnns past Lubbock Christian in a sweep, in which she hit .351. For the week, Roberts totaled 45 kills on a .220 hitting percentage with an ace, four assists, 23 digs, four blocks, and 48.0 total points. Paige Dixon, Cameron University, led the Aggies last week with 40 kills and six blocks against Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Texas Woman's. The junior helped CU take down the Mustangs 3-1 with a team high 15 kills. Dixon's best match of the week came against Texas Woman's, where she threw down 17 kills on 42 attempts with only six errors. She also recorded four blocks, with three solos, in the 3-1 loss. Dixon posted 3.33 kills per set and had an attack percentage of .215 during the three-match span. She is fourth in the LSC in total kills and kills per set. Kalie Lyle, Western New Mexico, paced the Lady Mustangs with 20 kills, collecting a high with 11 in the 3-0 sweep of West Texas A&M. She also led the team with nine kills in another 3-0 sweep of UT Permian Basin. In addition, she added a service ace, eight digs and four blocks. Lyle hit .274 in both matches and had three blocks and five digs against the Falcons. Courtney Noel, Texas Woman's University, pieced together her best weekend output of 2017 in matches against Midwestern State and Cameron. The sophomore registered team-highs in kills in both contests and a game-high five blocks versus the Aggies. Noel hit .409 at Cameron and added an ace. Jaslyn Wacker, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions in points last week in the Lions' two wins, tallying 28.0 points, 19 kills, nine blocks and a .308 hitting percentage.   • 3. Cameron on Friday, hitting .321 in the match. She also had two aces and five blocks in the match. Wacker then had five kills, an ace and four blocks in the Lions' sweep of Midwestern State. She leads the conference in hitting percentage and is sixth in blocks. Krystal Faison, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, gathered back-to-back double-doubles against nationally ranked opponents No. 16 Angelo State and No. 15 Tarleton State this weekend. Overall, the senior finished with 27 kills an ace and a team-high 29 points. Against ASU, Faison matched her season-high of 20 digs to go along with her 14 kills. She then totaled 13 kills and 16 digs with an ace in the five-set thriller against Tarleton State on Saturday. Ashley Mataele, Western New Mexico, came up with some big digs to help preserve points, as she posted 30 digs (5 per set), while adding a service ace and six assists. In the 3-0 win over West Texas A&M she came away with 22 digs and then added eight in the 3-0 win over UTPB. She was also strong in serve-receive, handling all 19 against the Buffs and nine against the Falcons. Amber Strange, Tarleton State University, continued to control the net for Tarleton as the sophomore middle led the team with 11 blocks, including five to help Tarleton defeat Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday. Strange boasted three blocks in each of Friday's two matches before going for two solo blocks and three assisted block in the win over the Javelinas. For the week, Strange also had six digs, 21 kills, 28.5 points and averaged 1.0 block per set. Brandy Carr, Cameron University, was sensational on the block for CU last week, recording 17 total blocks during a three match stretch against Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Texas Woman's. Against the Lions, Carr had a season best eight total blocks with three solos and five assists. She followed that performance up with five blocks, one solo and four assists, against the Pioneers. Carr also supplied 13 kills during the three match span and only recorded one blocking error. She is currently in fourth in the Lone Star Conference with 1.08 blocks per set, while totaling 57 total blocks. Shelley Chapron, Texas A&M University-Commerce, was a menace for the Lions out of the middle last week. She led the team with 11 blocks and led the team in kills with 21. Chapron had four blocks and eight kills against Cameron as CU hit just .150 in the match and .087 in the deciding fourth set. Chapron then had seven blocks and a season-high 13 kills against Midwestern State in the Lions' sweep of the Mustangs. The team held MSU to a .114 hitting percentage. Chapron had no blocking errors last week as the Lion defense held opponents to a .132 hitting percentage, nearly .100 points under what the Lion hitters produced. Chapron is second in the LSC in blocks per set for the Lion defense that leads the conference in blocks. Haley Hutchinson, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, played big in the middle as she logged 24 points behind six blocks including four solos. The junior middle registered two solo blocks in each match against No. 16 Angelo State and No. 15 Tarleton State this weekend. Brianna Sotello, Angelo State University, stepped up for the Belles defense in the team's only game of the week against Texas A&M - Kingsville. Totaling a team second 15 digs, the senior added a team high 18 kills to mark her sixth double-double of the season. In additions, she led the Belles from the service line with a season high two aces. Katy Ranes, Texas Woman's University, averaged 11.43 assists per set over the weekend, including a game-high 47 in the win over Cameron. The sophomore also added five kills, nine digs, two service aces and two blocks for the Pioneers in the contests against Midwestern State and CU. Brook Conley, Cameron University, continued her strong play into last week, as she totaled 108 assists for the three match slate against Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Texas Woman's. The senior setter averaged nine assists per set and tallied 2.67 digs per set. Conley flirted with a triple-double in the 3-1 win over MSU as she tallied 33 assists, 13 digs, and seven kills. Her best numbers came against Texas Woman's when she had 44 assists and 12 digs for her eighth double-double on the season. Conley also recorded 17 kills with a .394 attack percentage, had four service aces, and three blocks. CU's setter is ranked eighth in the LSC in assists and service aces per set and is top-15 in digs.
  • 4. Alexis Aguirre, Eastern New Mexico University, dished out an impressive 6.86 assists per set this past weekend in ENMU's 6-2 offense, leading the Hounds to victory over UTPB and WT. Against the Falcons, the senior helped the Hounds to a .321 hitting percentage and distributed 31 assists in the Greyhounds four-set win over WT. Cristal Carrizoza, Western New Mexico, once again led the team in assists as she dished out 37, averaging 6.17 per set. She also had 10 digs and a kill. She had a similar number of assists in both matches, as she had 19 and four digs in the 3-0 win over West Texas A&M and then came back against UT Permian Basin with 18 and six digs, along with two service aces in another 3-0 sweep. Gabriela Rosa, Texas A&M University-Commerce, led the Lions with 41 assists last week. She had 23 assists against Cameron in the Lions' 3-1 win over the Aggies. She added 18 assists in the Lions sweep of Midwestern State. Rosa averaged nearly six assists per set. She was a big part of the Lions' hitting .231 during the week, nearly .100 points more than the Lion competition. She also 18 digs over the two matches and had two aces. Meghan Parker, Angelo State University, continuing to distribute for the Belles, recorded 29 assists to lead the team. She dropped in a pair of aces from the service line and helped the defense with seven digs. LSC NOTES (Submitted by LSC SID’s) Angelo State The No.16 Belles went the distance on the road against Texas A&M - Kingsville coming away with a 3-2 win. This allowed the squad to climb to 11-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference. The Belles will prepare to take on Midwestern State on Friday, October 6 for its annual DIG PINK match to help bring about awareness to breast cancer. ASU will then continue its LSC slate with another home match up against Cameron on Saturday October 7. Cameron 1-2 last week. Eastern New Mexico Eastern New Mexico improved to 6-9 overall and 4-2 in Lone Star Conference play with victories over UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M. On Saturday, ENMU held serve at home, knocking off rival WT for the third-straight season. Senior libero Andrea Aguilar had a superb weekend, recording the second-most digs in a four set match in program history. Midwestern State Midwestern State posted a 1-2 record in LSC action last week to move to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in conference play. The Mustangs began the week falling 3-1 to rival Cameron in Lawton before returning home to post a 1-1 mark in D.L. Ligon Coliseum. MSU snapped a 12-match losing skid and earned its first win over Texas Woman's since 2010 with a 3-0 sweep of the Pioneers Friday night. The Mustangs were unable to remain above .500 in conference play Saturday in a 3-0 defeat to Texas A&M-Commerce. MSU hits the road this weekend to take on two nationally-ranked teams in No. 16 Angelo State and No. 15 Tarleton State. The Mustangs begin their road trip Friday with a 7 p.m. meeting against ASU at the Junell Center in San Angelo. Tarleton State Tarleton won three matches away from Stephenville, including a five-set victory at Texas A&M-Kingsville Saturday. The TexAnns return home this weekend to host Cameron and Midwestern State. Texas A&M-Commerce The Lions swept their matches last week. They defeated Cameron 3-1 and Midwestern State 3-0. The Lions outhit their opponents by nearly .100 points and had four players with at least 19 kills over two matches. The Lions also had 16 aces

The Lions will face Southeastern Oklahoma State on Tuesday before hosting Eastern and Western New Mexico over the weekend. Texas A&M-Kingsville The Javelinas nearly upset both No. 16 Angelo State and No. 15 Tarleton State this weekend. However, they fell in five sets at home, moving their record to 3-3 in LSC play. Texas A&M-Kingsville's offense was dominant in both matches as they outhit their opponents .257-.247. The Hogs will travel to Odessa, Texas to play UT Permian Basin on Friday, October 6 before capping off the weekend in Canyon versus West Texas A&M on Saturday October 7. Texas Woman’s TWU lost 3-0 to Midwestern State Friday before rebounding with a 3-1 victory at Cameron Saturday. UT Permian Basin 0-2 last week. West Texas A&M The Lady Buffs continued their road woes this past weekend as they fell at Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico to fall to 8-8 overall with a 3-4 mark in Lone Star Conference play. The Lady Buffs return to the friendly confines of the WTAMU Fieldhouse on Friday night as they host the Patriots of Dallas Baptist in a South Central Region showdown with first serve set for 6 p.m. at The Box. Western New Mexico WNMU got things going at home this weekend as they cruised to a pair of 3-0 sweeps against West Texas A&M and UT Permian Basin. Kalie Lyle led the offense with 20 kills, followed by 15 each from Heather Verrill and Alanna Watt, while Kelli McGhiey added 13. Cristal Carrizoza dished out a team-high 37 assists, with Sophia Mitchell adding 24. On defense, Ashley Mataele was all over the back row with 30 digs, while Verrill sent back 12 blocks. WNMU held their opponents to a .067 hitting percentage over the two matches. Lyle paced the Lady Mustangs with 20 kills, collecting a high with 11 in the 3-0 sweep of West Texas A&M. She also led the team with nine kills in another 3-0 sweep of UT Permian Basin. In addition, she added a service ace, eight digs and four blocks.
