2. I used a range of types of media forms to
receive feedback from my audience
consisting of:
- Survey Monkey
- Popplet
- Padlet
3. Firstly I used a survey monkey questionnaire, which I
shared on social media sites to receive a higher
response. The aim of this questionnaire was to see
what songs the target audience preferred (out of a
specific few already selected), and then questions
were included to find out what settings, props and
narratives they found most interesting and
conventional
Our final music video production was heavily influenced
through this feedback, we chose the song we would
use through the song which received most interest on
this questionnaire (Icona Pop- I Love It).
This feedback was also helpful when we was choosing,
settings, props and creating a storyboard for out
narrative. We wanted to ensure every aspect of the
video would be appealing to the target audience and
without this feedback we may have been unable to
achieve this.
This is where a popplet was also used for my audience
feedback, I created a range of narratives to a range of
songs, I then asked the audience to refer to the
popplet and chose there favourite narrative. This
enabled me to create a narrative knowing it would be
appealing to the audience.
4. I created an outline, which explains
what will be happening in the video
covering every second. I created
this using my knowledge of
conventions of genre and form but
however got audience feedback to
see if it could be improved to
appeal to the target audience even
more. I used padlet for this feed
back, where a received helpful
comments from the audience. Such
as ‘some of the shots may be too
long’ ‘too much lip syncing’ ‘more
props could be used’.
This feedback was extremely helpful
and led to me editing the outline, I
included more shots as this then
led to the lengthy shots being
shortened and in the extra scenes I
was able to add more props to
please the target audience.
5. Finally I created a script which
I again received audience
feedback for. I used popplet
to present this, I have a
section for positive comments
and then a section for
improvements.
The improvements helped me
notice that where I wasn’t
using conventions to the best
of my ability to create an
effective production. Enable
me to adjust the script to
make it more conventional
and appealing for the target
audience.
6. I also created draft copies of
my ancillary products,
using a paddlet for
receive feedback.
This feedback enabled me to
edit my digipak and
magazine drafts to
making them more
conventional and
appealing for the target
audience.
I also received feedback
from my teacher on my
drafts, giving me
suggestion of how I could
make the product drafts
more conventional.
