1. Working Title:
Coca-Cola Rush
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Target Platform:
The game would be released on mobiles, tablets and computers.
What media platform/platforms would you release the product on?
Genre:
It’s a side-scrolling, pixelated Advertisement game.
What sort of a media product is it?
Language / Territories:
Mostly western countries, more specifically English speaking countries as any dialogue/text will be
in English.
What countries would you release it in? Would it be suitable worldwide or is it targeted at a specific
population? Is it unsuitable for any cultures or beliefs?
Synopsis / Treatment / Story / How the game plays:
A character travels through a world, avoiding potential dangers such as spikes and holes in the
ground. Their aim is to collect enough coins to unlock the can of Coca-Cola at the end of the level.
By playing the simple game, it may spark an interest or impulse to purchase a bottle of Coca-Cola.
What is your product about? Discuss how it works to communicate a message to the audience?
What is the main message?
One Line SalesPitch:
Avoid danger and collect enough coins to unlock the Coca-Cola.
Sum up your product in one sentence
Style (similar products and graphical style):
My product is side scrolling platform game, similar to the classic version of Mario, whereby you go
along platforms collecting items and avoiding dangers. I don’t have a particular game that has
inspired my art style.
What product is yours similar to? Why have you used it for inspiration?
Discuss this in relation to conventions and art style
Audience:
The game is aimed at 16-19year olds but I feel it would be suitable for all ages, genders and social
statuses as it is just a simple side scrolling platform game. It isn’t specific to a particular
psychographic group, but it may suit the Believer group because they are loyal to brands and may
fit in with the Needs Driven group because they tend to act on impulse and may be tempted to buy
the product after playing.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your product appeal to this person?
2. Legal & Ethical Considerations:
I don’t think I have included any material that may offend any particular social groups, religions or
ethnicities.
There is nothing in the game that would pressurise a younger audiences to purchase the product as
it is simple light-hearted and fun game.
The game will not promote Coca-Cola in any way that may mislead the consumer in to believing
there will be any benefits to buying a can of Coca-Cola.
The game is to promote Coca-Cola so it will include the Coca-Cola logo branding. I haven’t used
anything specific from any other games.
I believe that my game is unique enough to not cause any copyright issues and the branding used
is allowed as we are making the game for Coca-Cola.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger audiences engaging with it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Is your product using characters/names/logos of existing ones?
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing ones to not get sued for copyright
infringement and how have you achieved this?
