Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Coca Cola Hop
Target Platform:
What media platform/platforms would you release the product on?
Advergame and mobile
Genre:
What sort of a media product is it?
Platform level game
Language / Territories
What countries would you release it in? Would it be suitable worldwide or is it targeted at a specific
population? Is it unsuitable for any cultures or beliefs?
It would be released in all countries simultaneously as it is suitable for all people ages and cultures
to play without causing offence
Synopsis / Treatment / Story / How the game plays:
What is your product about? Discuss how it works to communicate a message to the audience?
What is the main message?
The game is an adventure where the prize is a coca cola. Its played by the character jumping on
different platforms until you get to the end where you collect the Coca cola can. It reinforces the
coca cola brand by portraying it as a quality prize, but it also reinforces the brand name through
repetition of the brand name of coca cola by people chasing after coca cola.
The main message is that coca cola is a top quality prize
One Line SalesPitch:
Sum up your product in one sentence
Have an adventure, have a coca cola
Style (similar products and graphical style):
What product is yours similar to? Why have you used it for inspiration?
Discuss this in relation to conventions and art style?
It’s similar to other products by it being a classic advergame, with a character getting a drink from
different levels. The art style is like a classic arcade game with the it being 2D and only moving side
wides. I used Mario for inspiration because it’s a classic arcade game that people will recognise
and the design of the advergame links with Mario.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your product appeal to this person?
The audience is between 16-19yrs, and it’s is both genders, because everyone would have seen
the classic arcade games and they would have seen and drunk a coca cola, so they would be able
to put the two together and it would appeal to them because a lot of people would of play games so
they would enjoy it. The product would appeal to the audience because a lot of people would play
the classic arcade games and they would enjoy the game.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger audiences engaging with it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Is your product using characters/names/logos of existing ones?
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing ones to not get sued for copyright
infringement and how have you achieved this?
It won’t offend anyone because it doesn’t have anything that links with social
groups/religions/ethnicities to offend anyone. It’s different from other existing one because it shows
the person jumping on box to get to the coca cola, and it doesn’t have any other reference to other
adverts. I wouldn’t restrict any younger audiences with engaging with the advergame because it
doesn’t have any restrict content for younger audiences. My product doesn’t use any characters or
logos of existing products that can get copyright.
