Potential Issue Solution
My voice recording might sound echoey. I will ensure that I record in a room that doesn’t
echo, or if that is not possible then I will edit my
voice recording to reduce the echo.
I might end up with too much background noise
in my voiceover.
I will ensure that I record my voiceover in a
quiet room.
I might not know what to say in my voice
recording.
I will ensure that I have a clear script of ideas
and dialogue, to ensure that I know what I am
talking about it in my podcast.
I might lose my voice recording and have to re-
record it.
I will ensure that I also save my voice recording
on my USB stick so that I have a back up copy.
The sound effects or music I use might be poor
quality.
I will ensure that I source or record sound
effects that are high quality.
My voice recording or sound effects might be
too loud compared to other sounds within my
podcast.
I will ensure that I alter the sound of my
recordings so that they are all at a reasonable
and safe level to listen to.

6. Health and Safety

I might spill water on my microphone or
computer.
I will ensure that I do not have any drinks near
my microphone and computer whilst I’m
recording.
I might get a sore throat from talking too much,
when trying to record my voiceover.
I will ensure that I take regular scheduled
breaks.
My microphone might fall on me whilst I’m
recording.
I will ensure that it is securely attached to the
boom arm before beginning recording.
I might get stressed if I make mistakes when
recording my voiceover.
I will ensure I have a clear script to follow,
summarising the points I need to talk about and
I will take regular breaks to reduce stress.
Whilst sitting at my computer and recording my
voiceover, I might get backache from sitting too
long.
I will ensure that my chair is adjusted correctly
and I am sat up straight and will take regular
scheduled breaks.
When listening back to my voiceover, the
volume might be too loud in my headphones
which could cause damage to my ears.
I will ensure that the level of volume in my
headphones is set to a reasonable level.
