3. Mind Map
Game Cover
Audience /
Target
demographic will
be 16+ ages.
The game will be based around
past Bethesda games like
fallout, Skyrim and the outer
worlds all set in a very
distinctive setting e.g.
dystopian future, fantasy past.
The game will have cover
art and character design on
the front along with a
setting.
It will also include the
platforms it is to be released
on which may have to be
made up to due to copyright
infringement.
The game will have a
blurb on the back
containing the main
story and some other
information further
including
compatibility,
multiplayer
information, the size
of the game.
My game cover
will also include
the pegi
standard age
rating
At the top of the game box it will
include the platform the disc
game would be for which would
usually be Xbox or PlayStation but
due to copyright I may have to
alter this.
5. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
-Not really I have placed quite spaced out different images in my mood
board because I have an array of ideas regarding a game cover the only
common aspect of each sample photo I put on my mood board is that
a large amount of the games are produced by Bethesda and I linked a
few of their large juxtaposed games such as Skyrim a medieval fantasy
game with fallout retro futurism post war survival game.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
-My mood board will influence my end product as I will be aiming to
reach a good art style for my game cover and take ideas from some of
the games I have put on my mood board, I can use some of the games
as inspiration using similar concepts as the colour schemes, characters,
ratings, reviews etc.
6. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept The concept is a game cover including the back also, the concept will include: game
art, a setting/scene, background/backdrop, characters, age rating, reviews and other
general game box layouts such as the developing company and what platforms the
game is available on.
Type of
products you
would make
Game posters, game covers, potentially game logos, ads, development programming
e.g. a brand.
What you will
need to make
them
Photoshop, drawing and scanning in, age ratings and information about copyright
due to the fact some of the companies and game producers logos I may need to use
for the cover may be copyright infringed meaning I cant use them and will have to
make my own.
Audience My target audience will be 16+ meaning it will be a more mature themed game for
adults this could reference to the genre of the game, the contents or the dialogue.
My audience will most likely be teenagers to young adults who are involved and up
to date with the gaming community.
