What is your product about? Discuss how it works to communicate a message to the

My product is a simple Halloween themed scroll game where a ghost passes through a spooky

Christmas.
One Line SalesPitch:
Sum up your product in one sentence
My product is a simple Halloween themed scroll game where a ghost passes through a spooky
terrain collecting Coca-Cola cans.
Style (similar products and graphical style):
What product is yours similar to? Why have you used it for inspiration?
Discuss this in relation to conventions and art style
I used some of the simple, light hearted advergames that google displays on special occasions as
inspiration for my Halloween themed advergame. It’s similar because it’s a simple concept with
simple mechanics, but still has an air of fun too it.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your product appeal to this person?
14 – 25 age range, all genders, D, C2, C1 and B social status because the age range of our target
audience fits into the bands of work. The advergame would appeal to this age range because they
2. are the ones most likely to go on the internet and enjoy the holiday.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
There is nothing offensive about a ghost collecting Coca-Cola cans.
Will you restrict younger audiences engaging with it?
Maybe, but only because they cannot use the technology needed to play the game.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
No, Halloween offends no religion. Either do ghosts.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
I have researched into how any of the topics displayed in my game could perhaps offend anyone
or group but couldn’t find anything.
Is your product using characters/names/logos of existing ones?
No, the only character is a generalised ghost.
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing ones to not get sued for copyright
infringement and how have you achieved this?
Yes it is different enough – I have looked through over advergames and mini-games, and couldn’t
find anything similar to the one I had created.
