3. ⢠This is the first week of my production, in this week I spent it looking into fonts for my project. I used the website DaFont, I have used
this website in previous projects and I find that they have a wide variety of different fonts to fit any theme or project. I started off by
looking at âBasic Sans Serifâ I think this section is good at looking as basic fonts which can be used for websites and products that need
writing but not too much. I think they will be good for using as titles also as they can be bold and eye-catching.
⢠When looking into these I tried to picture what they would look like on my products on which ones would look the best as I wanted it to
be appealing to my audience. I narrowed down my favourites that I wanted to use for my as a title for my product and one that I would
like to use as a little description for my website. I really liked âBig Noodle Titlingâ for the title for my website as I think it is nice and bold
and will grab the attention for my audience. I also really like âLovesâ as a little explanation for the website and what is going to included
on it. I think those two fonts suit each other well and will make my website look professional and formal.
⢠I also decided to look and the Various Font section and Groovy Font section. When making a magazine cover you want the title to be
bold and be able to grab your attention, so having a font that is a little bit out there and attention grabbing will suit the products the
best. I added a selection of different fonts that I liked the look of and that would fit with the theme. The 2 fonts I liked the most were
âBubbleboddyâ I liked the look of this font because it was bold and thick I think it would really grab attention for the audience if this
was shown on a magazine cover, it could be used anywhere on it as either the title or little subheading across the page. Another font
which I liked best was âSparkling Brightâ this would also be good for a title for a magazine as it looks more formal and professional. This
font could also be used for subheadings.
⢠A strength of this is that it helps me prepare for my production, planning this before I actually make my product helps me to see what
fonts I have looked into will fit my production the best. I can really look into detail and try out different fonts that look the best.
⢠A weakness of this is a that there is big variety that I have looked into so coming to chose what fonts I want to use could cause problems
as there is plenty to chose from.
⢠Overall I think I used this week effectively as I have planned well for the different details I want to use for my project. I have narrowed
down the fonts I liked best and and where and what I want to use them for. Next week my plan is to look at different colour schemes
and have a look at different existing products and create a style sheet, this will be important for me to refer back for inspiration.
5. ⢠This week I looked in detail about the colour scheme I wanted to include in my project. When researching my theme of my project I
looked into existing products and the colours that are used and include these colours in a colour scheme. The overall theme for my
project is Fine Art which I would describe as crazy and unique. I think using colour and bright details will definetly stick with the theme, I
want to include black and white photos as well as coloured photos, this gives a good variety of photos that will suit different
perosnalities of my audience.
⢠I also looked into existing products and created a style sheet. I think this is a big help for my project as I can look at different styles of
photos and be able to put all the ones I have taken inspiration from and put them all into one place. I think this is important as I can look
back at this if I need inspiration I can easily look back at this and find something I like the look of straight away.
⢠A strength of making these is that it helps with production, it gets me ahead on my production and get me on with planning my project
in depth and with plenty of detail. I think it very appealing to look at, as it is all colourful and using photos, I think this is more effective
for me to refer back to it as it is nicely set out and easy to understand.
⢠Another strength of the colour scheme is that because I have used a wide range of colours it makes it easier for me to produce a
product that fits with the colour scheme as I have loads of colours to chose from and that will suit with my products.
