3. This is my overall theme.
The main features that are shown in this mood is
• Bright colours, all cocktails are different colours making the main feature colourful and bright. I will make sure I use
this in my own product as it is eye-catching and appealing to the audience.
• The shape of the glasses, this gives a more feminine look to the mood board, when taking the photos for my product I
will make sure to use similar glasses. The curves and the v shape glasses appeal more to women so my primary
audience will enjoy my product.
• Fruit is used in most cocktails which has connotations to women as fruit have seeds, this relates with women being
fertile.
Fruit is seen in a feminine way as some women are said to have a “pear” shaped bodies so this feature of my mood
board appeals to my primary audience of women.

5. The main colours that are seen in my style sheet are
• Pink
• Green
• Orange
• Red
I am going to try and stick with a pastel theme as I think it is easy to achieve with cocktails and when taking photos, this
theme will fit with my target audience and will appeal to them. When taking photos of the cocktails for my own
product, I will use pastel colours as the background as they will match the theme and tie everything in nicely. It will also
be appealing on the eyes to my audience and grab their attention.
6.
7. I researched a load of different fonts so I could get an idea of different styles I could use and what would look good for my
product.
I am going to use this font as the main font for my front cover, as I think it looks classy and it
matches with my overall theme by being feminine and grab attention from the audience.
This font will be used for my interview page, as the font is simple but still makes it
quirky and fun for people to read. It is easy for people to read but still give an effect to
the fanzine.
I will use this font for the titles of the cocktails in my fanzine. I think it
stands out and eye-catching for the audience.
I want to use this font for any other parts such as ingredients and
instructions. This font will fit nicely with my theme and looks nice.
8. Content:
This is the planning of my pagination, I have planned what I would like on each page and explained different details I’d like on the page.
Page 1 – Front Cover: I am going to have a pastel coloured background as it is more interesting then white or black and sticks with the
feminine theme and will suit any sort of cover photo. I will use of the photos I took for the cover photo. Use of the fonts from my style
sheet and include this for the title.
Page 2 – Content: I will have 3 pages of ingredients and recipes for cocktails including photos so I will use the first 3 parts of content, I
will list them under the names of the cocktails I decide to make. I will have an interview so the 4th line of content will be this and the
last option of content will be a gallery.
Page 3 – Cocktail recipe – including ingredients, instructions and photos.
Page 4 – Cocktail recipe – including ingredients, instructions and photos
Page 5 – Cocktail recipe – including ingredients, instructions and photos.
Page 6 – Interview: I am going to interview a mixologist, this page will include the questions I asked them and what they answer,
photos of them and photos of their work.
Page 7 – Gallery: This will include all photos I have taken, in one of the bottom corners I will include the name of the and where it
originated from.
Page 8 – Back cover: I will include a nice photo of a cocktail, I will use the same colour for the front and back so that it is all smooth
and professional looking. I will also test out having a spread out photo which goes from the front and the back.
9. This is the main genre and style I am going to use. I like the overall look and layout of this fanzine.
Some of the conventions I am going to use are,
I will use a similar coloured background for my front cover, as it will fit with the theme and appeal to
my female audience.
I am going to use a photo of a cocktail for the photo for the front cover, I will take this photo myself
and make it look as professional as I can.
I will do a similar layout for the front cover, I like the style. I will include a bold title as it makes it
more eye-catching and grabs attention.
All of these conventions will appeal to my audience, it fits with my overall theme and shows the
female appeal straight away.
10. Planning:
TITLE
I will use one of my fonts from my style
sheet as the font for my title, I will make
sure it stands out and is eye-catching for
the audience.
I will use a photo I took myself as the
photo for my main cover. I will make it
colourful and fun to add excitement to
the fanzine.
I have used a pastel
pink for my
background colour. I
think simple pastel
colours work with
everything so it
suits all photos or
colours.
I will experiment
with different
colours when doing
my actual product.

Contingency Plan
Editor's Notes
You could create a mood board of images related to your product. They could be inspirational or visually interesting. Analyse what you have gathered.
Decide on content and think about how you will structure your piece – consider the conventions of your chosen style/genre, think about the best methods to appeal to your audience.

Planning will vary depending on if you are doing a web series, podcast or a fanzine.
Web-series: A script, storyboard, organisational docs and clearance forms for your contributors/sources.
Fanzine: Content outline, visual style, pagination, organisational documents.
Podcast: Script, organisational docs, clearance forms for your contributors/sources.
Finally work out a production schedule for the project. Once you have a final proposal, begin to plan how you intend to realise your project and what you will need to create/collect.
