3. Steps through the First Experiment
The first thing I did to make this elephant glitch picture is to find a suitable picture where the glitch effect
would look good on. I chose this elephant picture as the object was large and stood out in the picture.
After I found my picture I changed the image to black and white by going to the black and white tab on
the top with image adjustments.
After that I went to blending options and turned the red off the picture, this gave the picture this 3D
effect. To make the lines I imported a picture of scan lines. I lowered the opacity of this image so it had
that overlay, over the top of the elephant picture.
I had my picture set up all I needed to do now was create the glitch effect, I did this by selecting the
rectangle marquee tool and selecting the part of the image I wanted to move. After this was selected I cut
the selection using SHIFT and the COMMAND key, this cut the rectangle out and I moved the selection
about. I continued to do this all down the page to create this 3D effect.
This experiment was useful as I can use this effect with an image in my magazine, the effect was simple
and easy to make
5. Steps through the Second Experiment
The first thing I did to make this wallpaper was to cut out the picture
of Jack Grealish. I did this by using the polygonal cutout tool. I
zoomed into tight areas to make the cutout looking good. The tool is
easy to use and made cutting out specific areas easy.
After I had cut out Grealish I used a mask over the player to blend him
into the smoke, I used the brush tool, selected the white colour and
adjusted my flow to make my fading effective in certain area’s. Fading
the player into the background was easy and simple as if I made a
mistake I would be able to select the black colour and emend any
mistakes.
6. Steps through the Second Experiment
After I had blended Jack Grealish into the background, I
added the AstonVilla badge in the background, I used the
opacity feature to lower the opacity of the badge so it fit
into the background. After that I created a solid colour
overlay then edited the solid colour interacted with the rest
of the wallpaper by selecting the overlay feature.
After the blue overlay and the badge in the background I
decided to sharpen the image by selecting the levels and
exposure editing options. Using this I lowered the main
image exposure and levels to sharpen the image and also to
darken the image to make the mood of the image to match
the smoke theme.
7. Steps through the Second Experiment
After I had finished the blending, the final thing to do was add the
text, the first thing I did was to find an appropriate font, I wanted
something clean and minimalist, I chose the Hikou font which had a
nice mood to it. I chose the colour yellow to match the Aston villa
badge lion.To add a bit more style I had the text overlay each other.
This made the text exciting and eye catching behind the player.
Overall, this wallpaper turned out really well and looks very
professional and clean
