I liked the art style of this movie, the animation was interesting and fun to watch and had a
semi realistic feel to it, I also liked the story of the film. It had a very funny and laid back
script with little speech so you had to concentrate on the characters facial expressions.
I think this movie would land with the fans very well as it’s a very simple family friendly
movie that lots of people can enjoy
This movie made me feel happy as the lighting and story was light hearted and made for a
very funny and chill film to watch
I would recommend this film to a friend as its very short and easy to watch, as there is little
dialogue and the genre of comedy doesn’t give you much to think about.
This film is about a couple of pensioners who are trying to get some toffies from the
retirement home canteen, there is a worker there who is at war with them and tries to
make their task difficult. This movie switches between scenes of the pensioners as young
bank robbers with their toffies as money and the worker being a sherrif.

I did not like this music video at all. The music wasn’t very enjoyable
and it didn’t really have much theme to it. The music video seemed
messy and had no structure.
The film just made me feel confused and left me with nothing, the film
was just not interesting at all and didn’t match the music.
The only thing I liked about this music video was the lighting, the
lighting was very good for lots of the scenes and set the tone and mood
for those certain scenes

I really liked this movie. This movie was about two bikers, one was
successful and was known for winning every race and the other was
known for always coming second. After a accident, the successful driver
had an accident and the other biker found him there in the desert with
blood on his head, thinking of personal benefit of winning the race the
other biker finally gave up winning the race to carry the successful
driver to the finish.
I really liked the art style of this movie, the 50’s/60’s aesthetic was
really appealing to me and I enjoyed watching this film a lot.
The music in the film was very subtle and made the film feel like the
music was made to fit that instead of the other way round.

I liked this film a lot, the style of comedy was really good and there was a
simple storyline; there was a slasher that was destroying peoples plants in
the allotments, the journalists want to catch the slasher to revive their
newspaper so they stay over night at the allotments to catch the slasher,
they eventually catch him and jump out on him in the act, this gives the old
man a heart attack and dies.
The main thing I liked about this film was the acting, there was a real
contrast in the two characters of the photographer and the writer for the
newspaper. The contrast in personalities made the writers comments
funnier.
I would defiantly recommend this to a friend as this film was very funny and
the quality in camera shots and acting made the film very interesting even
though it had a simple storyline

This comedy film was about a charity badminton tournament, the successful badminton
player Carl, was used to winning this tournament regularly with his powerful technique
and took the tournament very seriously. A new player Morgan arrived at the
tournament and brought a different technique, a more flamboyant and elegant
technique that Carl disliked as it was very good and successful. After their heads had
clashed a lot it was time for the big game where Morgan would face Carl. The battle was
tough but after getting frustrated Carl lauched the shuttlecock into Morgan’s face
therefore ending the match. Carl was furious that it had to end like that with all his
friends helping his enemy Morgan
This film was very enjoyable as the camera shots and storyline was high quality and
made the film feel very professional.
I really liked the camera shots in this film, they helped capture the feelings and emotions
of the character. For example, when Carl was on his own in the gym after he had won,
his facial expressions showed that he was sad but the camera shot was a wide shot
which made him look small in the environment, this could be a reflection on how he's
feeling

This film was very short as it was an advertisement but had a big effect with its short
time.
The film was about worldwaterday.org this is a website that is to do with providing water
for people who don’t have clean drinking water in the world. The way the advertiser
represented this was very impactful
This film shows a girl getting ready to jump from a high diving board, with no shots of
the water and only the board the viewer expects the deep breaths to be about
overcoming her fear to jump into the water. After the girl had jumped we had an open
shot of a pool with her falling into no water. It cuts to black with the words, no water, no
future.
The impact of this film shows us how important water is in that context and that is to
help this girl survive but it also reflects on the importance of water in the natural world
for animals and humans to survive.
I would take the impact of the advertising skills with me into my final project as you can
express the importance of one thing by using the thing in a different context

This advert was about death and the Marie Curie Foundation.
The ad goes through all the ways of saying how someone has died for example, kick
the bucket. This is paired with a happy tune and calming vocals and also with a
bright and colourful art style. This is to push the movement that talking about
death or plans for death shouldn’t be something people don’t talk about it shoul be
talked about and this jolly advert brings that mood to talking about a normally dull
and bleak subject.
I really enjoyed this advert as it gave me a different perspective on death and
talking about death, and I guess that was the end goal and purpose of creating that
advert. To stop people being so scared about talking about death.
Again I will take elements of this advert and put it into my final piece of work.
Features like, putting your own spin on certain subjects so you can manipulate the
readers view on a subject in a positive or negative way.

This film was a very good comedy about two parents telling their kids over
the phone that they are getting a divorce. The kids who are adults in their
mid 20’s stress about what is going to happen to their family after the
divorce. They argue over the phone with their family from father to kids and
then between siblings. After the kids had agreed to come home to talk about
a divorce the father hung up the phone and said to his wife in an overjoyed
voice that the kids are finally coming home for Christmas, this ending finally
showed why it was a comedy.
This film was very well shot and had a very simple storyline. The main thing
about this film that I liked was the fact that I questioned if it was a comedy
until the end.
I would recommend this film to a friend as it has a very unique style of
comedy as it tricks its viewer into thinking it’s a serious topic then at the end
it flips and shows the comedic ending.

This film was about a robot working in a laundrette. A man comes in to do his
washing. He pays for the machine, then puts his clothes in. however the door
seems to be stuck and the machine is not working. The robot comes to help the
man and opens the door for him. The man asks for his money back but the robot is
unsure what he means, after a few back and fourths with the robot and the
machine the man gets frustrated and pins the robot against the wall and demands
for his money back. Although, the robot sounds the alarm and the man panics and
runs away with his washing and without his money. After the man had run out, the
robot punches the money machine and collects it as the next customer comes in.
The realisation sinks in to the viewers head. This robot is scamming everyone that
comes into the laundrette with the same routine.
This film provided lots of extreme close ups and natural camera work to provide
the feeling that this film is realistic and actually happening which I enjoyed. I also
really liked the sudden realisation at the end of the movie of what the robot is
doing.

• This master class was about how directors create and make stop motion
animation, the masterclass goes through the process step by step from the script
and writing to, the scene making then the filming
• They explain how these worlds were made by hand and everything has to be
created by the filmers and directors themselves which makes it difficult.
• Making things to scale is very difficult as the directors need to plan out how
everything will look on camera
• Lighting is also scaled down the scenes to create a realistic feel to the scenes
• This masterclass made me think about how much planning and detail should be
going into my work in future projects such as university and college work
• Also it has made me learn that there is not always one simple was to get a good
end result, sometimes you have to think outside the box to reach an end product
and goal.
