2. THE AUDIENCE
• The magazine will come out monthly so even busy students and young adults can
still collect each issue. My target audience is 14- 25 year olds, this includes
students and people starting jobs, this is a similar target audience as Kerrang! and
Rocksound magazine. The magazine includes posters and large dominant images
to appeal to young adults and teenagers. The target audience is similar to the
audiences of kerrang! and Rocksound magazine however my magazine stands
out more as I will include more information on concerts and the artists.
3. TARGET AUDIENCE WOULD LIKE
The target audience like dark colours and clothing this is why the dress code of my model is
prominently black but with a nightmare before Christmas pattern on the double page spread
this is because skeletons and that film is popular with my target audience.
4. COLOUR SCHEME
• The colour scheme of my magazine is red, white, black and blue which are colours
often associated with the rock genre so using these colours was an effective way
to attract my target audience to my magazine. I researched colour schemes that
my target audience would want on pintrest and decided the colours red, black,
white and blue were the colours most attractive to my target audience.
5. LANGUAGE AND TONE
• The language and register in my magazine includes indirect mode of address as
the mode is not looking into the camera in the images in my magazine, I thought
this was an effective way to establish the genre further as artists in the rock genre
are often shown not caring.
6. GENRE CONVENTIONS THAT ATTRACTED THE
AUDIENCE
