2. Price and Style
The price is a big factor in attracting an audience to any product
and as my target audience is the younger generation I have priced
my magazine at £1.99 Per issue because this is relatively cheap
compared to other big music magazines like XXL or Q and if the
magazine was too cheap people may judge the magazine before
they look at it as they may think because it is so cheap I must
therefore be bad quality.
The style of my magazine is quite simplistic I have done this to
make my magazine have more of a professional look as if it was
cluttered I believe it wouldn't be appealing but to contrast the
simple style I have used colloquial language because formal
language wouldn’t appeal to people ages 15 to 25 and the
colloquial style would make it easier to read as the my target
audience is most likely to text and use social media in which
colloquial language is used.
3. Images and articles
I attracted my audience through many different
Methods like Images, Colour scheme and the
Features n the magazine. The images I have used are all
pictures of men therefore it may attract more of a male
audience as they would see the images to be role
models/idols and if it was an image of a woman then they
may misinterpret the magazines for that of a fashion
magazine.
My target audience are also the people that are likely to
attend musical festivals so to attract my audience I
included a festival guide within the magazine which could
be very useful to my audience.
4. Colour scheme and promotions
As I have stated in previous questions the colour
scheme attract my target audience because it is blue
and this colour is generally associated with men and
the black and white make the magazine look more bold
which would initially attract the audience to it.
The two promotions I have used in my magazine are a
Ticket competition and poster give away the posters
would attract the younger section of my target
audience as they are the age group that like to decorate
their rooms with posters of their favourite artist/Bands
