Evaluation Question 5: How
did you attract/address your
audience?
George Silke
• I used various different methods to address and
attract the target audience of my magazine. I
referenced current popular mainstream artists in
my cover and contents page which would attract
the target audience of 17-25 year olds. I used
bright eye catching colours in my double page
spread.This fits the look that would appeal to
the younger target audience. It’s a more informal
magazine which would entertain the younger
target audience.The layout of the cover is simple
and stylized which would appeal to the younger
audience as well.A similar stylized layout is
carried on throughout the rest of the magazine
in the contents and double page spread.The
contents page also uses the red, black and white
colour scheme.This keeps a theme of
consistency throughout the magazine and
makes it easier for the younger audience to
follow.The double page spread uses bright
colours to make the artists double page stand
out as the main article of the magazine.The
layout is easy to follow for the younger target
audience. It set out like a regular magazine that
reads from top to bottom.
